Pyare Sarabjeetsingh ji please take my advice as a friend you need to speak with your doctor just incase there is a chemical imbalance in your body. Last year I would feel very anxious, get very emotional either angry or sad and sweat profusely. It turned out I had an over active thyroid. As it was diagnosed early the medicine worked and now I am tablet free. I thank Waheguru that I now have peace as before I would always pray but feel alone it was only until my body was cured that my mind could focus on Gurbani.

Pyare 'Artmental' THANK YOU for starting such a worthwhile thread we need to make this a sticky and fill it with ALL the hideous stuff happening in Punjab so that there is a log for others to read and take knowledge from! I would urge the Sangat to write their REAL stories here especially the locality in Punjab could give us details/patterns of dera/RSS involvement which may inspire some to make right or others to be warned of the tricks but it MUST be real incidents not made-up scare myths. Pyare Bundha I respect your views the more Sachi Gurbani TV channels the better. But this is not school ground Politics once it takes hold it will split the Sangat, spill blood and push people away from Sikhi where MONEY & KURSI take PRIDE for who is the true Sikh leader. (Do not shrug this off it will happen on TV as it has in Gurdwara's). I am watching and understanding what is going on at the moment and giving ALL these channels a chance to settle and broadcast the True NAAM. But I have already been alarmed at one sentence a "shub chintak" said when he was speaking in an advert on a channel - if this is a glimmer of what may happen then get ready for trouble - I WILL OPENLY BE AGAINST THIS AND POST MY VIEWS THROUGH THE NET.

What's going on why this sudden rush to start-up Sikh TV channels is this a business opportunity I am missing? I fear politics is a massive part of this as the rumour that was started by BizAsia that Sangat Tv fell out with Sikh Tv and went its seperate ways could have something in it or why a months worth of testing why the hurry????

Sindhi Samaj has a very rich tradition and history of being a community with a strong religious faith. Another week and more anti-this and anti-that where are the POSITIVES?

A man had 2 buckets full of frogs one had a lid and the other was uncovered. I asked him why this was? He said the frogs in the bucket with a lid were from Europe and would escape using each other to jump out of the bucket. He wasn't concerned about the other bucket without a lid as the frogs were from Punjab as soon as one reaches the top the others pull his legs back making him fall to the bottom! We need to stop the friction of attacking our Sikh Media and Organisations. My brother-in-law googled something and by chance found SikhSangat he said to me today that it appeared alot of people were very negative and seemed to hate particular people or companies. This has got me thinking - WE need to start being positive and supportive not just with money but our time and skills. It is all well and good shouting and screaming when we believe Sikhi is being abused but on the other hand we also need to lift-up all the good news and activities the Sikh Kaum also does. Because if we keep being negative we are portrayed as savages who drink alcohol, fight at parties, swing swords and follow a vague mixed religion by some not even wearing turbans. Whereas islam channels show little kids reading the koran fluently, Aastha channel shows hindu yoga and well-being and even the Asian Christian channel shows them singing happily with tamborines. 1. Lead by example learn as much as you can about your own faith before you think another way is the right way. 2. Don't dismiss our Cultural history the proverbs and desi ways as being old fashioned - it is by preserving your past you will remember your history. What you may feel is your modern thinking today tomorrow someone else will think is outdated you are not the first person who assumes he understands everything. 3. Most of us have YouTube, Facebook, Twitter accounts - we should put direct links to SikhSangat and other "good" Sikhi channels so that your visitors can click easily onto real Sikhism links. 4. We should endeavour to have a SikhSangat member in every Gurdwara Sahib around the world so that any issues can be raised quickly on the forum. The main point I would like to put across is Gurbani is the TRUE Guru - and which ever TV channel, Radio station or Internet forum is broadcasting the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji we should whole heartidly support. I don't care if it is Sikh Channel, Desi Radio, MATV or BBC Asian Network because when Gurbani is being sung and I close my eyes I am listening directly to Akaal Purakhs hukam which is universally the ONE VOICE of the Khalsa Panth.
