  1. the topic was orginally about spells.....which turned into black magic talk...which you have replied to with guru sahib arrows and gold plating?? and now it looks to take another turn, with the use of the word "miracle"...lol. lets just end it here my friend. i totally agree with you too, about the physical strength part. nice sakhi by the way.
  2. call it black magic or wat ever colord magic for that instance, but like i said, its not literally magic. that word makes all this stuff sound soo silly and fake. but things do happen that we cannot explain, or that are above our level of understanding. in gurbani it says we should be aiming to go past such things. there are difffernt mantars used by differnt religions around the world and they have differnt effects. but where there is gurbani, no other mantar has any effect. there are tons of sakhis in katha that explain these things. like i said, they take place on the atmic level, so for one to understand, we must also be on the atmic level of thinking. but to just disreguard the whole topic as false doesnt really make much sence. for example, baba banda singh bahadur, had aquired such sidhi, and level of understand, that he could control all the 52 birs, or atmic warriors. the sakhi of how he used to send a bir to flip over his manja if anybody sat on it. if people look at this, they would say oh look, its magic, how can a manja flip over by itself. but in reality, it was done on an atmic level, so magic is not really the right term that should be used here. but when guru gobind singh ji sat on the manja, baba ji sent all 52 birs to flip over the manja, and yet nothing happened. because there is nothing more powerful then the guru. but to think nothign happens of this sort or werid things that we cant understand, they dont happen at all, thats just silly. weather we call it magic or use another term, when refering to these supernatural events, they do happen. maybe not all the things you hear, but it does exist. and your example of the person with the disorder, its could be both. he could be just be sick based on health issues, or it could be a atmic occurance. depends on the actual specific sutuation. there is a sidhi that allows one to enter another persons body, its even mentioned in katha, its called "par kayan parvesh sidhi". and thats when people do weird stuff to other poeple. yea, it does not happen often as people say, and damn hard to pull off, but it does exists. and now if we just simply dont want to believe in these things, thats fine too. cant force anybody to understand something or believe in it. we each have our seperate level of understanding, and each are entitled to believe what we choose.
  3. gurbani says there are ghost, and evil spirts. gurbani also says there are ridi sidhi that have certain shaktis...... people with ridhi sidhi do have the ability to control such life forms.... controling these things and using them on others....this is know as the common "black magic"..... but just the use the the word magic makes it sound like a joke or not real. these things are known better in atmic terms, things only seen when at a certain level of understand or avastha. it all falls under the ridi sidhi category.

  5. this is not directed toward any 1 person, just a general reply for everyone, but yea no we dont believe in this stuff, cuz we are supposed to be above such beliefs, these things dont effect guru ke sikh. but to say or think that these things dont happen, or dont exist, i think thats just being ignorant. (not saying singh559 bhaji is being ignorant)
  6. yea, chandi di vaar, or any dasam di bani for that matter is like playing with fire, not smart thing to do, unless you know the required rehat. its not one of those banis you can read anytime you want, whenever you feel like it. theres certain times, and certain rehat that such banis.
  7. im not too sure about that particular thread, in his situation it doesnt necessary mean its a spell. sounds something like we all go thru as we grow up. going thru our teen years being around our friends in school, then later on in college life. as much as we all might try to deny it, but we have all been in similar situations. its just part of the process of growing up i guess. now as for the spells and all that. people try all sort of weird toone tamans. tie red strings around your hand, lacing peoples drinks, usually milk, but yea, the list goes on. this happens everywhere, but can be seen on a widespread platform in india. especially in the pinds, where people fall for anything.
  8. yes people do that, and its true, but it has no affect on amritdhari nitnemi rehatvan singhs.....

    Pets?

nothing wrong with keeping pets. everybody has pets. even guru sahibans kept pets. for example, guru arjun dev ji used to have this pista colored dog. and when guru hargobind sahib ji was born, the bahman caretaker dude, forgot his name, he brought either milk or dahi, i forget that part too, but yea he put poison in the milk for maharaj, and tired giving it to them, and maharaj wouldnt drink it, and guru arjun dev ji knew something was in the milk. so then maharaj told the dog to drink it. and even the dog knew there was poison in it, and wouldnt drink it, kept looking at maharaj, maharaj said koi ni, peelai, teri vi chaurasi kati javi gi. and guru gobind singh ji maharaj had a dog that could speak punjabi. heard this in katha by giani ji.

  13. good post by both bundha and kaljugi bhaji. a gurbani pantki that backs up this whole idea of having faith first, and then you will gain knowledge is from sukhmani sahib: jw kY irdY ibsÍwsu pRB AwieAw ] jaa kai ridhai bisvaas prabh aaeiaa || One whose heart is filled with faith in God qqu igAwnu iqsu min pRgtwieAw ] thath giaan this man pragattaaeiaa || the essence of spiritual wisdom is revealed to his mind
  14. can you plz be so kind to share some information about gurumaa ji, who they are, and where they are from? (only reason im asking, cuz first time ever heard the name, so just curious)
  15. you are totally right yar, as each day passes, majority of us are losing faith, get farther and farther away from rehat maryada, getting more and more doubts in our mind about sikhi, doubts about guru sahib, doubts about our history. the ball is rolling on a downhill slope, only matter of time before it hits rock bottom.... (p.s., bhaji, there is no need to quote a post if you are going to post directly under it. when you are the very next post, its like an on going convo, so no need to directly quote each post. quoting helps if theres multiple replies inbetween the post you want to reply to)
  16. other religions can say they are real, thats what they are currently doing. but do they have such a real history to back it up? if we look at gur ithaas, and sikh ithaas, the bar has been set very high, very recent too. which other religion can match such high caliber of sacrifices, such high morals of living?? i think we only need to look at 1 person's life and compare to rest of world, and that 1 person is none other then dhan dhan guru gobind singh ji maharaj. if we take all the worlds saints, or religions prophets, from differnt religions, differnt faiths, and put them on 1 side, and put guru ji on other side, alone, nobody can compare to such sacrifices. the real truth is that there is nobody out there that can stand up to maharaj's level. never was, nor is, never will be. we just need to realize this for ourselfs while everybody says they are real, but their history does not hold up with their claims. they try to convert you sooo bad, with twisted lies and false propaganda, yet they have only managed to get quantity, but no quality. but if you look at sikhi, we dont seek any converts, we dont need false propaganda tactics used by others, our history speaks for itself.
  17. everybody knows the answer to this question about boyfriend and girlfriend.... but do we still engage in it?? yes. its not a matter of knowing what is right and what is wrong. its a matter of actually walking down that road rather then talking about it. people know whats right and whats not, but they still choose to do whatever they want. but eventually it will catch up to us in the end, it always does. its kaljug, and only getting worse as time passes. so everything started with good intentions between relationships, most likely, not 100%, but majority of the time ends up with complications involving lust. most people will agree.
  18. not much you can say, other then good luck? lol, if its ok with their parents then i guess theres no problem. but these things are more of personal choices rather then public views. i mean if somebody is going to do something like this, they rarely give too much attention to public opinion. "je miaan bibi raji, ki karega kaji?"
  19. the topic is about vaisakhi and how its anti sikhi to use this event to get drunk and go crazy bhangra, but idk why people are talking about farming, or how that compares to parties or getting drunk.... and there is really nothing you can do to stop parties like this, it has become a major trend from past few years, party for vaisakhi. it happens all over the world, and when you try to explain to people that for sikhs, vaisakhi should not be celebrated by getting drunk, they give you bad mean looks. its hard to stop the trend of majority of people unless some big event happens thats changes peoples mind set and mentality. its easier to just ignore such events, as a few people can maybe stop 1 party, but then there are still many more happening all over the place.
  20. in bachittar natak, guru gobind singh ji himself tells us that when the world started, god send different people at differnt times, all to do the same thing, to start the right path on earth and show people the true meaning of life, how to do things the right way. first god sends the demons, then the demi gods, then the various others followed, like shiv ji, vishnu ni, bahrma ji, who people believed to be god themselfs, and each started their own path, thats why we have so many, cuz everybody started their own, but didnt do the one thing god told them, the one thing of bhagati, nobody told that to the people, so soon came jesus, starts his own path, then comes muhammad, who also starts his own path, theres also budda, who started own path, theres a countless number of faiths and beliefs, but yet, nobody is doing what akal purkh told them, nobody started that maryada that was told by god, so finally when god sees that nobody told the people of amrit, nobody told the people the truth, nobody gave them kakkars, everything is not the way akal purkh himself wanted it to be, so finally akal purkh calls guru gobind singh ji, who at the time is lean in bhagti at sri hemkunt sahib, up in the mountains. god calls upon guru ji, and says i will make you my son, and you shall go spread truth upon earth. and guru ji replies while standing in front of god, with folded hands, i can only do this task if i have your assistance this whole long sakhi is done in a very awesome katha, prolly one of my all time favorite kathas to listen to ever, bachittar natak katha, done by sant ji, really gud stuff, especially the way sant ji describes everything, says it just like its written, almost feels like guru ji himself is doing katha and explaining why he was sent down to earth from sri hemkunt sahib, for which reason he needed to do all this that he has done. its really worth listenting to, and then you will understand about all these differnt religions we have today, but only 1 religion where akal purkh, god himself takes full responcibility for is sikhi, as written by the guru gobind singh ji, in sri dasam granth sahib, in which guru ji says he has no care in the world about what people say is the truth, or what people think of him, guru ji says he has been given a duty by god, and will only say what has been taught to him by akal purkh. here is link that this entire parsang: http://www.gurmatvee..._Granth_Viakhya its file numbers 2 and 3, "ab main apni katha bakhano"
  21. OMG!!!! this is both sad and funny! why do we pick such little things and make big issues over them? lol. mukti is our initial goal, cuz thats the only we realize the truth, once we are mukt from everything else, and THEN, once we are mukt, we realize that there is one last avastha above mukt, which is where the shabad posted by harmeet bhaji comes into the picture. but how can we say we dont want mukti if we are not even close?? there are countless shabads, by maharaj sahibans, and bhagats, that ask for mukti. but only those who are mukt can say they do not want such mukti. but we are still here very very low on the avastha chain, have not even come close to mukti, and we are already saying we dont want it. in order to get that avastha in that shabad, you have to first be mukt. soooo........ this guy saying mukti is purpose of life is not that far off as it seems.
  22. the sakhi goes that at the time when sri guru arjun dev ji maharaj was writing bani of sri sukhmani sahib, baba sri chand ji came to amritsar sahib to get darshan of maharaj. guru ji, who highly respected baba sri chand ji, as they were dhan dhan guru nanak dev ji's sahibzade, out of respect, told baba ji about sri sukhmani sahib they were writing, and asked them if they had any lines or panktis which they could contribute. this is such the level of respect maharaj had for baba sri chand ji. and some people say oh baba ji didnt listen to maharaj, blah blah blah. who are we kidding. this is not some average person walking around, some average guy you see everyday. this is guru nanak dev jis son!!! what is wrong with all these people who say oh baba ji didnt have sohji, baba ji didnt get gurtagadhi from maharaj cuz they didnt have such shub gun inside them. there are only 2 people in the entire world, for as long as there is time, only 2 people can have the honor of saying they were born into house of dhan dhan guru nanak dev ji, in the roop of maharaj ji's sahibzade, and those 2 mahapurkhs are baba sri chand ji, and baba lakhmi das ji. how many other people can say this? nobody, and we consider these 2 sahibzade of guru sahib some average people, nothing special. but guru arjun dev ji knows who this is, and gives baba ji the respect they deserve, unlike most of us. so maharaj asks baba ji, that if baba ji wanted, they could contribute to sri sukhmani sahib ji bani. at this time guru ji had completed 16 ashtpadis. but baba sri chand ji replied that since they are not gurtagadhi de malak, they do not have the right to uchar bani, and that this task only suites the one who has the gurtagadhi. but again, maharaj guru arjun dev ji asks again, no baba ji, you are sahibzade of that same guru whos gurtagadhi has been given to us, plz uchar a salok or even few panktis. and at that time, baba ji replied, you can use pita ji's pankti from mool mantar, aad sach, jugad sach, hai bhi sach, nanak hosi bhi sach. and then out of respect for maharaj guru nanak dev ji, guru arjun dev ji didnt write the exact pankti over. this can be seen in gurbani many times, that there are bachans that are the same, but they are changed maybe in the smallest of ways, even by one or two lagamatrs, to show respect for previous guru sahib who have used this pankti earlier. so then, guru arjun dev ji, as per suggestion of baba sri chand ji, started 17th ashpadhi with the salok from last lines of mool mantar, but changed it to aad sach, jugad sach, hai bhe sach, nanak hosi bhe sach. this whole sakhi can be heard from katha of sri sukhmani sahib done by sant gurbachan singh ji, and gaini thakur singh ji. and if im not mistaken, sant jarnail singh ji also refers to this sakhi in one of their kathas, if i find it, will be sure to post the link. to emphasize the avastha of baba sri chand ji, there is another sakhi, at the time of guru nanak dev jis joti jot, maharaj told baba sri chand ji, that they are going back to sachkhand. at that time, baba ji di benti to maharaj, that upon who will they depend on for rosi roti? and maharaj replied to baba ji, why do you worry sri chand, you ask who will you depend on, but there will be millions that depend on you for rosi roti, you, yourself, do not need to worry of such things. this can also be heard in katha. maybe it would help if we think before we speak of such mahapurkhs who have been given the honor of being the sahibzade of dhan dhan guru nanak dev ji maharaj.
