Dear Sadh Sangat Ji, Does anyone know how many Sikhs live in London, and the surrounding area. Just an estimate would be good,

Respect to Reading Gurdwara and the Speakers listed below for holding a Bhog of Akand Paath in memory of the Shaheeds in 1984, one Sunday before the 5th June rally on the following Sunday. Should every Gurdwara be doing this? At the very least, 1984 should be discussed on every Gurdwara stage this Sunday, and a reminder to attend the 5th June rally should be mentioned from every stage. It's our last Sunday to support this rally. If any Singhs and Kaurs have any influence at their Gurdwara please make this happen this Sunday. Does anybody think that the 3 Sikh TV channels (and the Sikh Radio channels) should step up the frequency of the promos films they have been running to attend this rally. This is our last week to promote this Rally, or the opportunity has gone for another year.!! It is my benti to the Sadh Sangat Ji, that you make the announcement happen in your gurdwara this Sunday. May there should be people making lists this Sunday of people who are definately attending, from their Gurdwara. A list makes people commit!!! Also if any members of the Sadh Sangat Ji can make the radio and Television stations advertise this 1984 rally more, then please do! Finally, to the Sadh Sangat Ji in London, my benti is that all London Sangat attends on 5th June as this rally is only local for all London Sangat! Poeple on this Forum will know the rally is on, but there are still many people who don't know, or may even forget, so please make everyone aware of the 5 June rally!!! Dear Sadh Sangat Ji, This is the last Sunday we have before the 5th June Rally. Please can all arrange it so that it can be mentioned on the Stage of their Gurdwares this Sunday! Please can some influencial Sikhs also contact the Sikh Channels (radio and TV)

Nobody is discussing this or mentioning it in the Gurdwares lately. Dear Sadh Sangat Ji, Shouldn't it be mentioned on every Stage at the Gurdwara this Sunday, becuase it's the last Sunday before the Rally on the 5th of June!!

The 5th June Rally for 1984 is getting very close now. Are we promoting it (or are we going to let this year go by unpromoted??)

Do anybody know what the mood is on this at grass roots level? Are we getting the impression all Singhs and Kaurs are attending on 5th June? Do you think every Gurdwara should announce this on every stage this Sunday? Do you this that all the 3 Sikh Sky Stations should be promoting the 5th of June (full on) now becuase there is not that much time left!! Does anybody have any influence on the Channels to remind them to step up the promoting? I hope the Youth Show on Sikh Channel really push the 5th June on their show this Sunday!

I think that, under the Guidance of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj, the Satkaar Campaign are doing a briiliant Job!!! The awareness they are raising to promote Satkaar for Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj is a life objective, of every true Sikh!!! This is another victory for the Satkaar Campaign. If it wasn't for the Satkaar Campaign the Dudley Committee would have been doing a lot worse, and a lot more of it !! I congratulate and thank the Satkaar Campaign Singhs and Kaurs for all they have done, are doing, and will be doing to promote Satkaar of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj. Onwards and upwards now though Sadh Sangat Ji, let us put all our efforts into promoting and getting every Singh and Kaur to attend the Sikh Freedom and Justice Rally for 1984 at 11am 5th June Hyde Park London! (let's bring the existing threads up for the march, or start new ones! - lets start promoting it again!!) Once the 5th June is over, we'll be back, Dudley Committee!!! Sounds like a man who has given up becuase he knows he is wrong, becuase he's spouting anit-gurmat opinions and misleading honest Sikhs!!! Brilliant! A bit of a breakthrough! Mr Medare want's the Sikhs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj to lend a hand and join in with the Dudley Committee and make it what it should be!!! Fantastic, may be he is saying that the committe will listen to all advice and guidance already given to them at the meetings that have already been held (the meetings, and the points that were raised, which are mentioned on this thread many times) Dear Mr Medare, are you saying you and the committee are prepared to listen to the advice already given to the committee at previous meetings? Dear Mr Sangha, taking the points in red you made above one by one, here is my reply: Did Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj, the eternal Guru of the Sikhs, teach you that standing up for your rights meant that you and the committe to should organise it for men to drink alcohol on land that had been registered to Guru Ji himself! There are many Shabads in Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj that tell you not to drink alcohol especially on land registered to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj!! you say build a community centre, but you forget to say that it was built on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj's land!! which the committee obtained for a £1. You say the bulding would not be facing the Gurdwara, where Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji resides. When someone deliberately faces away from the Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj, the eternal Guru of the Sikhs, that person is called a behmukh, read Anand Sahib Ji da paath. Doesn't matter which way you face the build it stays on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj's land. the land the committe organise it for men to drink alcohol on land. It doesn't matter which way you point the entrance, it still on land which has been registered to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj. Once land is in Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj's name, it should not be taken from Guru Granth Sahin Ji Maharaaj!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you are saying it was clear that alcohol would be consumed on land you had just took off Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj (for a £1) even though Sir Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj clears says, many many times, do not serve or consume alcohol. Please can someone to read and translate these shabads to you!!!! In the very same sentence you mention "as a sign of respect". How can you put those two phrases in the same sentence!! It's like you are deliberately trying to wind up the Sikhs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj!! you say no Gurdwara donations were used to build or fund the community centre. What about the land you built it on, that was Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj's land, which you took for a £1. Once land is in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj's name, you should not take it off Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj!!! You refer to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj, the eternal Guru of the Sikhs as, Granth Sahib (You have to taught me something new there - I have never here the word Guru ommitted before!!!) You say that you are capable of dealing with your own moral and religious affairs. However, we, the Sikhs, believe only Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj is capable of dealing with our moral and religious affairs, or learned Amritdharis who actually demonstrate they understand, and ask us to follow, the guidance within Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj. Dear Learned Sir, I could not believe anyone would overide the lawful authority given to a committee by its Sangat. I see goodness in the honourable position itself regardless of who occupies it,or you could say I respect them ,for the sake of respect itself. Even a gulity man is assumed innocent and given an advocate to defend him Dear Mr Medare, how come you are happy to see the overide of the lawful authority given to the Jathedar of the Akaal Thakat. Do you not see Jathedar of Akaal Thakat as an honourable position itself regardless of who occupies it. If you want to know the law the Jathedar of Sri Akaal Thakat abide by then please read Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj. You will find that Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj clearly states that you should not drink ALCOHOL (that includes your men drinking on the land, that has been, registered to Siri Guru Granth Sahin Ji Maharaaj himself) Please feel free to continue to defend your men who chose to drink alcohol on the land that has been registered to Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj himself.
