  3. WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Let us remember The shaheeds who gave there lives in the name of faith. They have been called miltants, terrorists, extremists and many other low down filthy names. But thats not the sad thing, because the people who know the truth know that these people are "SHAHEEDS". No that’s not the sad thing; the sad thing is we the future of sikhi have forgotten. We have forgotten what has happened to us. We have forgotten why these Great Gursikhs of Dasmesh Pita Guru Gobind Singh ji gave their lives over and over again. From the time of Our beloved gurus up to now. Gursikhs have been giving their lives and joining that elite group of shaheeds for one reason and one reason alone: FOR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS, to give the future generations a chance to practice this great religion of sikhi. They did it to spark change so we the future would be treated equally. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind it is because of these great shaheeds we are now so prosperous around the world. There spilt blood has given fruit to our freedom. Every time we forget our faith, it takes spilt blood of saint soldiers to wake us up again. So let us remember why these great shaheeds gave there lives. Let us stop saying its time to move on because we're too ashamed to face the sad realities of India. Because it is not time to move on, India has not made any positive steps to rectify the situation of 1984. What we wanted then we have not received. In fact the situation in Punjab has gotten worse then it was during Sant Jarnail Singh ji's time. Punjab has become a virtual ghetto, with our young future generations of "Sikhs" becoming drug addicts and alcoholics. Forget about trying to revive Sikhi in Punjab, we're now faced with the momentous task of trying to save this generation from killing itself from alcohol and drug abuse. So for those of you who say lets move on. How can we move on? How did alcohol and drugs become so rampant in Punjab? Let us ask ourselves that. Could it be the same way that drugs and alcohol was introduced to the American ghettos? Could the government have had a hand in this? First they tried to destroy us by attacking us physically. When that only made us stronger, they decided to attack us by assimilating us into the the local religion, (we are still considered a sect of hinduism in the indian constitution) and by destroying our sikhi values by pushing alcohol, drugs and things like the caste system upon us. The sad thing is my fellow Sikh and Punjabi brothers and sisters, its working. We the non-Punjab residents have forgotten or don't even know what has happened with our sikh brothers and sisters in Punjab, What is still happening in Punjab. We have become too comfortable in our cosy homes and our cosy lives. Let us all take one step to do our part to show Guru ji we care. Because if we don't wake up ourselves, Mark my words Guru ji will WAKE US UP. Sangat ji please forgive me if I haVE said anything wrong WAHEGURU ANG SANG

  5. Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh. I was recently told by some Singhs not to wear the symbol of the chand. They said that this symbol originated from the nihang singhs who believe that it has something to do with shiva. Not knowing for sure i stopped wearing to play it safe. Now i came across this http://<Anti-Sikh Site>/htmls/misappr...s_realdeal.html As you guys probably know it is on the web site of the u.k nihangs/Nangs. So whats the sangats advice? Is this the true symbol of the chand tora? I apologize if this has been discussed before if it has please give me the link. Waheguru Ang Sang
  6. Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh Sadh sangat ji i am a brand new member here on this forum and i would like to express my apreciation to sikhsangat for the wonderful job they are doing. It is truly an amazing seva that you have undertaken. My question is, does the sangat know of any sikhi sites that discuss indian politics in any way? Something that i can read and learn about whats going on in India. For example i hear about badal and how bad he is but i have never read about what kind of things he's done or what the whole deal is with him. If there is a site like this could the sangat kindly point me in that direction. Thank you Waheguru Ang Sang
