  1. Brother OneBeing, I do not think you have any mental problems, it is only I feel that you have a lot of blessings from Wahiguru Akal Purukh, and you have to channelize your energies. Have you tried doing the jaap / simran of Wahiguru? Do it, as the Bani says: Sarab rog ka aukhad Naam. So if Naam is the solution of all maladies, naturally it is also an aid in blessings. You need company of higher gursikhs who can clear your doubts and assure you, that definetely, most of us ordinary people are insane, not you. You have natural affinity to spirituality and its vibrations, the thing is, you need confirmation by the purer jeevas, that you are more than normal. You are blessed that you can see or perceive that all this creation is nothing but a huge play, and you are a mere spectator in His play.... most of your such complaints, are assertions of you being spiritually awakened, and as said, you just need a confirmation from some purer sikhs, that you are at the start point of your journey back to Him, so hold on tightly to his Lotus Feet to soar higher and higher, there is much much more to come, just ask Him to bless you with strength to digest anything which may come to you by His very Hukum. Cool down, there is nothing to be afraid about, and stay blessed . Sat Sree Akal.
  2. Brother B4ND4, When we want to pour milk in vessel, what do we usually do? We wash and clean it, isn´t it? In a similar way, we clean the filth of haume from our minds with kirat karni and vand shakna, through practising truth and humility, and at the same time defeat and get liberation from the chains of our minds on us, through Nam japna. Nam Japna, is the only means, the ladder which takes us to His Lotus Feet, if only we really want to become with Him. He is the Sun, our soul a ray. He is an Infinte Ocean, our soul a drop from it. There is nothing wrong in merging with our Origin, He Wahiguru; rather it is just natural to become one with Him. Also Guru Jee clearly tells us: Jin har japeeya, se Har hoeeya. All the 3 points mentioned by you above are important, but if we want to become one with Him, then brother, there is only one way, your first and topmost point: Nam japna. Sat Sree Akal.
  3. Brother Guest Singh Jee, you must bear in mind, one became an amritdhari not because of our intercations with the world, whosoever they maybe, but because of our desire to become one with Wahiguru Akal Purukh when leaving this alien land of Maya. And to become one with Him, we became amritdharis, in order to constantly remind ourselves, for that we have to tread the path of love and devotion for His Lotus Feet, at the same time remain in His bhaana, have an attitude of humility and compassion for mankind in general. Our problem is that we limit ourselves within our own created boundaries, when the truth is, Wahiguru is present everywhere and in everyone; He is present even in those who do not believe in Him, or say that, they belong to a different religion than ours. What others say or believe, is their look out, a consequence of them limiting themselves with manmukhta. There is only one God, Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Each and everyone is as per his/her own marked out destiny. Who is then to be blamed? He is the only director, rest are all puppets. The Bani says: to some He brings close to Himself, while to others, He keeps them away. So brother if He chooses by His will to keep some away, in which way are they to be blamed for not being fortunate enough like us, in believing and having faith in Him...naturally no one can go against His hukum, they still have to wander in the wheel of 84, until He Himself decides to finish this play and call back all the remaining jeevas. So you see, you just keep an eye on yourself that you do not get derailed from sikhee, that is important, what so ever others do, that is their problem, they will undoubtedly have to account for their actions. I would recomend you to go throughly the Bani, not like a parrot in a haste, but sipping each Amrit boond contained in it. This will bring you closer and closer to Him, then your mind will stop troubling you, and you shall remain steadfastly focused at His Lotus Feet. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.
  4. How Long Do You Worry About Your Children? Is there an imaginary cutoff period when offspring become accountable for their own actions? Is there some wonderful moment when parents can become detached spectators in the lives of their children and shrug, 'It's Their life,' and feel nothing? When I was in my twenties, I stood in a hospital corridor waiting for doctors to put a few stitches in my son's head and I asked, 'When do you stop worrying?' The nurse said, 'When they get out of the accident stage..' My Parents just smiled faintly and said nothing. When I was in my thirties, I sat on a little chair in a classroom and heard how one of my children talked incessantly, disrupted the class, and was headed for a career making license plates. As if to read my mind, a teacher said, 'Don't worry, they all go through this stage and then you can sit back, relax and enjoy them.' My Parents just smiled faintly and said nothing. When I was in my forties, I spent a lifetime waiting for the phone to ring, the cars to come home, the front door to open. A friend said, 'They're trying to find themselves. Don't worry! In a few years, they'll be adults. They'll be off on their own, they'll be out of your hair' My Parents just smiled faintly and said nothing. By the time I was 50, I was sick & tired of being vulnerable. I was still worrying over my children, but there was a new wrinkle.. Even though they were on their own I continued to anguish over their failures, be tormented by their frustrations and absorbed in their disappointments.. And there was nothing I could do about it. My Parents just smiled faintly and said nothing. My friends said that when my kids got married I could stop worrying and lead my own life. I wanted to believe that, but I was haunted by my parent's warm smiles and their occasional, 'You look pale. Are you all right' ? 'Call me the minute you get home'. Or 'Are you depressed about something?' My friends said that when I became a grandparent I would get to enjoy the happy little voices yelling 'Grandma! Papa!' But now I find that I worry just as much about the little kids as the big ones. How can anyone cope with all this worry? Can it be that parents are sentenced to a lifetime of worry? Is concern for one another handed down like a torch to blaze the trail of human frailties and the fears of the unknown? Is concern a curse or is it a virtue that elevates us to the highest form of earthly creation? Recently, one of my own children became quite irritable, saying to me, 'Where were you? I've been calling for 3 days, and no one answered. I was worried.' I smiled a warm smile. The torch has been passed.
  5. An interesting story: Where do birds go to die? Strange question, isn't it, but the answers are even stranger, or probably there is no answer at all. The world is populated with flocks of birds, but strangely, one never sees bodies of dead birds lying around. Rarely one does see bird remains left behind by a careless cat or a pigeon killed in flight by the sharp kite string during the makar sankrat kite festival. But, lying around dead from a natural cause? Never! So do birds live forever? When no answer comes to mind, what does one do? Well for many unanswered questions one does ask Google! That’s exactly what I did. Guess what? Google had no logical answer! To find the answer to my question, I browsed bird watching sites skimmed through ornithology resources but with no luck; just vague and funny answers. Then I came across a very interesting article on ‘Dying Pattern of birds” and cited below was a controversial theory by Late Cork Bishop Cornelius Lucey that begins with the Question: “Where do birds go to die?” Bishop challenged anyone to produce evidence of a bird that had died from a natural cause. Bishop Lucey distinguished death from natural causes and death by predator, or death through car accident. Death through accidental or deliberate means resulted in mangled bodies we all have seen, but it is a fact, dead birds are so difficult to locate that scientists use birders to help track population in order to estimate number of annual avian deaths. The Bishop, who had an in-depth knowledge of the life-patterns of bees, conducted the study of birds, with the same gusto. In the case of bees, the Bishop explained that bees died, by rising, into the “upper air’, and there they literally were destroyed through a natural disintegration process. After the study of birds he concluded that as birds had an inner sensory device, which told them when to migrate and like the bees they too had an inner sensory device which told them when it was time to die, or when their life cycle was complete. On the premonition of death, they too like the bees rise up higher and higher till they disintegrate in the upper air. This unpublished theory is the closest answer to my query. This triggers the following thought: If we go by the Bishop’s hypothesis on the dying pattern of birds for which as of date there is no counter solid scientific theory, then it would not be out of place to conclude that birds are at a higher plane than humans since the birds actually KNOW when they are going to die, something that even the so-called evolved, aware and intelligent human race does not know! That when a bird knows that it has lived enough, seen enough, it can happily leave its body at will by flying high-up and just disintegrating; no age related aches, pains of suffering. Thereby lingers the thought : Is Man, the self-proclaimed most evolved living being really at the apex of evolution pyramid? Or please tell where do the birds go to die....
  6. A very beautiful veechar panthicunity jee. In addition to it, I would humbly like to add a couple of verses of Dhan Dhan Saguru Arjun Dev Maharaj: Aath Pehar Aaraadhheeai Pooran Sathigur Giaan ||1|| By doing this above, the consequence, or the result is that, He, comes and dwells within us, as seen in the following verse : ਜਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਵਸੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਥਾਉ ॥ Jith Ghatt Vasai Paarabreham Soee Suhaavaa Thhaao || Because, He goes there where He is called upon. If we call Him from our within, it is there where He comes and stays. Sat Sree Akal.

    Lust kaam

Brother Guest Singh Jee, just by desiring or wishing, one can never ever erradicate kam or any of the 5 chors from within. One can suppress them for a while as you have done. And that is like keeping a snake in a covered basket, anytime one removes the tap, the snake will bite you. There is always danger of being stung sooner or later by kaam or other 4 evils as well. The real job is, in giving an antidote to those 5 vikaars, to nullify their poison. Once their poison is wiped out, they will never even bother in trying to sting you, because by then, even they have become cool and calm, that poison within them, which used to burn them with the urge to sting the jeevas, is finished. And that antidote brother, is none other then Wahiguru´s Nam simran. Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjun Dev tells us: Prabh ka simran, man kee mael jae. The 5 vikaars are the filth of the mind, but if we do His chintan, His simran, the filth of the vikaars, will be wiped away; not only that, but, we shall be filled with His Jot. God bless you Sat Sree Akal.
  8. Regarding the beautiful title of this thread, following are a few verses full of Gyan, perfect definition of a Brahm Gyani, by Panchvee Patshahee Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjun Dev Maharaj in His paviter Bani of Sukhmani Sahib: ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਭਏ ॥ Breham Giaanee Sae Jan Bheae || They alone become God-conscious beings, ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੨॥ Naanak Jin Prabh Aap Karaee ||2|| O Nanak, whom God Himself makes so. ||2|| ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ॥ Breham Giaanee Aap Nirankaar || The God-conscious being is Himself, the Formless Lord. In the first two verses He is telling us, that , nobody, by self effort, such as jap, tap, pooja, paath, or any other chaturaee, can ever become a Brahm Gyani, except by the will of His Hukum, His meher. Then in the 3rd verse, He tells us, to whom He so wishes and makes out a Brahm Gyani, automatically, thet being becomes one with Him, without any distinction. Such is His aparampaar mahima. Waheguru. Sat Sree Akal.
  9. A) That is becuase, one thing is being pure and Truthful, like our Guru Sahiban, the embodiment of Truth, and another thing is, we ordinary human beings trying to imitate them, or live up to the top of their teachings: Sikhee. We maybe good as being skilled talkatives, but, being one with the Truth, and let that flow out in a natural way as with them, our beloved Guru Sahiban, is quite different, we are limited...they are not, in no way. When they speak, it is Akal Purukh through them. B) First of all deep love and respect for sikhee, secondly sadh sangat with the highly advanced gursikhs, the ones with polished minds, pure souls, due to their inmense Bhakti of Wahiguru and unconditional surrender to Him. When this is achieved, then, the singing of His mahima will be sehaj. Sat Sree Akal.
  10. Just 3 drops of coconut or almond oil on your navel b4 sleeping. For your loved ones friends anyone..its a miracle cure for many internal issues Shared as received. DID YOU KNOW? Our belly button (NABHI ) is an amazing gift given to us by our creator. A 62 year old man had poor vision in his left eye. He could hardly see especially at night and was told by eye specialists that his eyes were in a good condition but the only problem was that the veins supplying blood to his eyes were dried up and he would never be able to see again. According to Science, the first part created after conception takes place is the belly button. After it’s created, it joins to the mother’s placenta through the umbilical chord. Our belly button is surely an amazing thing! According to science, after a person has passed away, the belly button is still warm for 3 hours the reason being that when a woman conceives a child, her belly button supplies nourishment to the child through the child’s belly button. And a fully grown child is formed in 270 days = 9 months. This is the reason all our veins are connected to our belly button which makes it the focal point of our body. Belly button is life itself! The “PECHOTI” is situated behind the belly button which has 72,000 plus veins over it. The total amount of blood vessels we have in our body are equal to twice the circumference of the earth. Applying oil to belly button CURES dryness of eyes, poor eyesight, pancreas over or under working, cracked heels and lips, keeps face glowing, shiny hair, knee pain, shivering, lethargy, joint pains, dry skin. REMEDY For dryness of eyes, poor eyesight, fungus in nails, glowing skin, shiny hair At night before bed time, put 3 drops of pure ghee or coconut oil in your belly button and spread it 1 and half inches around your belly button. For knee pain At night before bed time, put 3 drops of castor oil in your belly button and spread it 1 and half inches around your belly button. For shivering and lethargy, relief from joint pain, dry skin At night before bed time, put 3 drops of mustard oil in your belly button and spread it 1 and half inches around your belly button. WHY PUT OIL IN YOUR BELLY BUTTON? You belly button can detect which veins have dried up and pass this oil to it hence open them up. When a baby has a stomach ache, we normally mix asafoetida (hing) and water or oil and apply around the naval. Within minutes the ache is cured. Oil works the same way. Try it. There's no harm in trying. You can keep a small dropper bottle with the required oil next to your bed and drop few drops onto navel and massage it before going to sleep. This will make it convenient to pour and avoid accidental spillage. I am forwarding this valuable and very useful information received from a very good friend. Dr. Ajay. D. Assistant professor
  11. Blessings A pregnant woman was seated under a tree, very thirsty, and she needed water, but there was no water. Suddenly she saw some drops of water dripping from the tree. She took a cup and started tapping the drops. When water got to half the cup and she was ready to drink, a bird came and knocked the cup down, so the water was spilled. It happened three times, and the woman felt very bad. She took a stone and killed the bird. After the bird had died, she saw a big snake coming down from the tree. So she discovered that what she wanted to drink was not really water but poison. She felt so guilty that she had killed the bird that saved her life. Sometimes, God is like this bird to us. He knows when we are about to take poison, but we get disappointed, when actually, He is trying to help us. Maybe, what you thought was water was poison. Drop the pain, because there's something better for you. Put your complete trust in Him, for He is the most beneficient, most merciful, & most loving Being. Just take 2 seconds of your time & say: Shukur hae Sachay Patshah, for all your countless blessings on me.

    Helpless

Guest Curious Jee, following are the answers to your 2 questions above. 1) We should always remember, that we have to leave this world. Whatever we do under the sway of the mind, we shall have to suffer the consequences. Impress upon the mind to live always in His will, then all is acheived. We should not get attached to worldly things and activities. we should perform our duties faithfully, even eagerly, but like a guest who is consciouss, that the house does not belong to him. we should look upon the world and its affairs as false, and attend to them, knowing them as such. muhaau k bolan boleeai jith sun dharae piaar | What words can we speak to evoke His Love? anmrith vaelaa sach naao vaddiaaee veechaar | In the Amrit Vaylaa, the ambrosial hours before dawn, chant the True Name, and contemplate His Glorious Greatness. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.

    Question

True saints, mahapurukhs, will never ever tell anybody to do any type of physicall sewa for them, for they say, they are the servants of the servants. For them, serving them, is to follow implicitly and faithfully what the Bani tells us to do. For example it tells us: Satgur kee sewa safal hae, je koee karay chit laae. The true sewa is the one, which makes us consciouss of Him. So what is it, that which makes us consciouss about Him, and brings us closer and closer to Him? It is His simran, His bandagee, which alone purifies us, and brings us closer to Him, to the extent, that finally we merge in Him. Prabh ka Simran sabh tay oochaa. T This is the highest sewa of Wahiguru, which one can offer Him, and it is this very sewa, which any true mahapurkh, Brahmgyani, will tell us to do, as well as Guru Jee tells us also so. Sat Sree Akal.
  14. Very good point brought forward. But instead of narrowing ourslves we must widen our horizons, in the sense that anybody who had darshan of Akal Purukh, wil not shut himself from world, for once one has merged in Him while being alive, there is no fear of anything, as He is ang sang ... Guru mere sang sadaah hae naalay. It is we ordinary people, who need sincere deep bhakti to have His Darshan, for that we have to avoid Maya, so we need to be absorbed i meditation. But not they, who have their divya drishtee opened by His kirpa, so they see Him everywhere and in everyone, they not need to stay in deep meditation to continue seeing Him; for if they close ther eyes they enter spiritaul realms, they open their eyes and they are back here. These mahapurukhs are filled with His Jot, so their mere presence where they choose to be or go, becomes sacred as said by their very presence, be it then cesspool of stupidity even. It is we limited beings who say I will avoid this or that place or peson, not they, as they are in tune with his Hukum at all times, so they never complain, nor talk ill of anything. The Bani clearly says: tah Baikunth, jeh keertan tera. Even the most stupid place, becomes paviter, by singing His mahima. For He, comes where He is called, in His subtle spiritual swaroop, though unseen by ordinary people, or sinners like us. So you see, we limit ourselves with this, or that, but they are wide open. These mahapurkhs, once having revealed Him within, wherever they move, they spread the fragrance, the scent of Wahiguru among the people. You see, unlike us, as they are filled with His light, they will not say, when the darkness goes away from there, we shall go there; because wherever they go, or they choose to be, though however absurd for us, the darkness(of agyanta) runs away from there, as they approach and reach any place. And all this, is just by His grace, His Hukum alone. Sat Sree akal.
  15. LIFE DOES NOT ALLOW FOR US TO GO BACK AND FIX WHAT WE HAVE DONE WRONG IN THE PAST BUT IT DOES ALLOW US TO LIVE EACH DAY BETTER THAN OUR LAST. WORRY IS THE ADVANCED PRICE YOU PAY FOR TROUBLES THAT MAY NEVER COME LIFE AND TIME ARE WORLD´S TWO TEACHERS. LIFE TEACHES US TO MAKE GOOD USE OF TIME AND TIME TEACHES US THE VALUE OF TIME
  16. A simple and beautiful prayer When you wake up say: Wahiguru, I love you. When leaving the house say: Wahiguru come with me. When you feel like crying, say: Wahiguru, hug me. When you feel happy say: Wahiguru, I adore you. When you do something, say: Wahiguru, help me. When you make a mistake, say: Wahiguru, forgive me. When you go to sleep say: Thank you Wahiguru, cover me with your kirpa. Sat Sree Akal.
  17. Guest Guest Curiosity Jee, may I know why are you so fascinated with these devtays? What is it that you find so interesting in them? Though you have full right and freedom to do what you want, but just asking why so much importance to them. Are you not interested in knowing if anyone here or anywhere else has had Darshan of Wahiguru Akal Purukh Himself? When you mention above that they told you friend to continue the path of Nanak Dev Maharaj, it just shows that even devtays know, how strong the faith of a sikh is in/for Guru Sahiban or Guru Jee, thus they have not much to do there. A Sikh is no small thing, for a sikh is the devotee of the Highest Being, a beloved one of Akal Purukh. But any how, we should not hate them nor disrespect them, as they are fulfilling the purpose or role for which they were created by Akal Purukh in His apaar kaynaat. Our interactions are only with Him, we are in so much love with Him, that we see none else than Him. We should not forget what the Bani beautifully says: Ekas bin, sabh dandh hae. He alone is the only one Supreme permanent Truth, apart from Him, everything else is "koor", is Maya. Though everything is created by Him, but still, He is the director, all others are mere puppets. Everything, everyone, is subject to His Hukum, not even a leaf of a tree can move without His Hukum, such is His apaar majesty. Wah e Guru. Sat Sree akal.
  18. Guest Jee, with all due respects, nobody gets darshan just like that of any spiritual entity, be it it devtays even, unless one worships and devotes oneself to that entity. So is the same with Wahiguru Akal Purukh, the only supreme Reality. You see, if one devotes oneself to these lower spiritual entities, one will go at most, to Swarg Lok or Baikunth, that´s it. No mukti, but for sure, imprisoned in chaurasee ka chakar But then we shall have lost our opportunity in uniting ourselves with Wahiguru. But why to worship them or have their darshan? What can they give, that which Wahiguru can´t? You see, worshipping them or expecting anything from them, is like begging a public officer, when He, Sachya Patshah Akal Purukh, is ready waiting for us, to embrace us, and fill our jholees with His Daya Meher, not only that, but He gives Himself to us, and makes us one with Him. If that is so, why to go for less. If one can have have golden coins, pearls and rubies, why to hold on to stones? Dhan Dhan Satguru Nanak Dev Maharaj, in relation to your questions, tells us in His paviter Bani of Raag Maroo: ईसरु ब्रहमा देवी देवा ॥ eesar brehamaa dhaevee dhaevaa | Shiva, Brahma, gods and goddesses, इंद्र तपे मुनि तेरी सेवा ॥ eindhr thapae mun thaeree saevaa | Indra, ascetics and silent sages serve You. So if these deities are beggars at His door, why not to do directly His Bhakti and get Him through His kirpa? Guest Guest Curious Jee, reconsidere your questions, not because of anything, but, because worshipping Wahiguru, is the only utam karam, highest bhakti. Sat Sree Akal.
