Sat Sree Akal Usernametaken, I do remember you being here a few years ago. Along with saas saas simran, it would be advisable to do bhajan bandagee at Amritwela. Saas saas simran helps a lot when doing bhakti at Amritwela, cause the mind has not been so scattered during the day with saas saas simran, so it is easy to concentrate at that time. The objective of any spiritual sadhan is to collect the surtee at tisra til, or third eye, or daswan dwar, and the enter into the spiritual realms. And this is only possible by constant and concentrated simran, during bhajan bandagee at one place and stilling the mind with simran. Once you get the taste of simran, you will not need to fight with the mind to get bairaag from moh, maya .... As the saying goes, only attachment can create detachment. This means, it is hard to say I want to get away from this or that, as the mind is constantly running after pleasures. So unless one gives the mind a superior taste, the one of Naam Simran, the mind will not accept anything, and maybe be under pressure for some time seems it is under control, but at the first opportunity, it will show its true colours, and make us more insecure then before. That is why our Guru Sahibans have stressed so much on Naam simran, as it is the only effective remedy to correct the mind and make it pure.(Prabh ka Simran, man kee mael jaae) Plus, Naam simran, has another positive effect on us, it creates strong love and solid faith in us for His Lotus Feet, then no matter, even if the whole world stands against us, our faith shall not waver at all, this is a high avastha, as a consequence of doing the real bhakti as per our Guru Sahibans with Naam simran Our blessings are always with you, now you need to please Guru Jee alone, by doing the bhakti, not as per agayni manmukhs, but as per His wishes. Then the skies shall be wide opened for you, and His blessings shall be showered upon you, What else will you need then? Of course nothing. Sat Sree Akal

Good or bad karmas, is like sowing seeds of pain and sickness, or of being healthy ad wealthy. And as the seeds are sown here in the Triloki creation, so we are bound to come back and collect the fruits of those sown seeds, we can not send someone to come and collect it for us, it is we ourselves who have to come and eat the fruit of our plantation, and the creation is carried on such a trickery design, that absolutely nobody can escape from these karmas. Except, as you have said, it is only by His Gurparsad of Naam Dhan. Naam is the only permanent changeless reality, which surpasses the Triloki mayavee creation, so, if we hold on to Naam, we shall be carried by the Shabad Guru, back to our Nijh Ghar, Sach Khand. This is when the Bani tells us: Baahah pakad kar Guru kadeeya. Sat Sree Akal.

The path of sikhee, is a path of devotion, of love, of surrender of our wicked minds to the Beloved. We can not take it as a business deal, like I give this so much to have that in return... That is not the right attitude. When one loves someone, there are no calculations or speculations, it is just giving oneself selflessly to the beloved. So should be our love for Wahiguru, at all times, at all places .... When He has given us so much without restrictions, why to limit Him with numbers and times? The following are some words full of wisdom from the Bani, guiding us for if we want to play the game of love with Him: jau qau pRym Kylx kw cwau ] (1412-2) ja-o ta-o paraym khaylan kaa chaa-o. Absolutely a beautiful Shabad.

Do the jaap of the Shabad, from which everything else has emerged. Guru Jee tells us in simple words: Jap man Satnam, sadhaa Satnam. What will then happen by doing so? As the saying goes: Jaisa dhiyayeeh, vaisaa hoeeyah. As what you meditate /contemplate on, so you shall become. So if we meditate on Him, we shall become one with. What is the purpose of any jaap or paath? Isn´t it pleasing Guru jee? So if He tells us: Jap Man Satnam, sadhaa Satnam, why not follow it implicitly with sharda? Then it is not to be done at a particular time or place only, but, while walking, eating, drinking, sleeping ....any time, at all times on which mind is free. Of course, one must sit at amritwela for example, and do this bhajan bandagee, but the more one does this jaap, the more His daya meher on us, so why to limit His Bakshish, when He wants to give us His kirpa with both His hands wide open? His apaar mahima...

You see, just as when the child is sick, it does not like taking the medicine, complaining that it is bitter, nevertheless, the mother makes the child taking it, as it is after all for the child´s good. In a similar way, tell your mind, I know you are sick, so whether you like it or not, there is no way to cure you, except that for bhakti and devotion, I do not care if you enjoy it or not, so accept it peacefully, or I will give you double dose of it... You see, if a gold ring falls in the filth, it value does not diminish, it just needs a cleaning/wash. In a similar way, Wahiguru Akal Purukh, looks always at our surtee, our soul, which is His essence. He very well knows, that all the dirt is accumulated on the mind, but the soul is always His "ansh", for which He always looks mercifully for its return as soon as possible. All our calamities are due to our own karmas, which we are prone to commit easily, but, His grace has also no limits, He has taught us to get rid of them, if that tool is used properly. The Bani beautifully says: Prabh ka Simran, man kee mael jaae. Prabh ka Simran, garb na baseh. Kaur jee, never ever give up His devotion, no matter in which circumstances you may find yourself, whether we like it or not, as it is the only anchor for us to save our souls. Sat Sree Akal.

Have you considered sleeping by 10 PM at latest? Body needs rest also. If it does not get that rest, than it is like swimming against the waves. Try to adjust you life, your timings in order to achieve your goal. I would advise you to get up and do bhajan bandagee between 3am and 6 am, at first it may cost you, but if you are sincere and persistent, then, for sure He will make it easy for you with His grace. Except for Mahapurukhs, who can give a bit of their earned Naam Dhan to anybody whom they wish, it is their mauj. For the rest of the beings, no body can do anything. Up to some extent it can give you some "gyan", but the bhakti for which brother Jacfsing2 asks for, it is about each individual´s kamaee in past births. Our relation with Wahiguru is made on the basis of Bhakti, and each and every action of it is entered in our account by His grace. We are souls, we have to evolve spiritually in order to become stainless and pure, and thus by His Grace, any little effort of ours in terms of bhakti is rewarded by Him multiplied, and as such, His daat never goes in waste, then naturally in our next births we continue from the point where we stopped in our previous births, cause He wants us to see us back as soon as possible. That is why although we are humans alike, spiritually we are all at different levels, that is why so many of us disagree on so many points. The thing is then not to loose our balance, by letting the mind fill us with the poison of agyanta and vikaars. Each person has a different level of consciousness. That is why, even if we disagree with someone, we should not become angry nor try to throw our opinions on others, not because, they do not want to accept willingly, but, because they are not prepared to understand those views yet. It is like talking about algebra or science, to a child(not physically of course, but at consciouss level) of a couple of years for example. So going back, to the question of Bhakti as per the title of the O.P in this thread, yes, bhakti can be carried where we left in our past births. And we have a practical and a clear example on this topic, in another thread, where a sister is asking, if she has married a saint... For me it is quite clear, he is carrying on with zeal and sincerity, his practice of bhakti, thus he is showered more and more Daya Meher by Wahiguru, in order to acelerate his progress and return back Home at His Lotus feet. Meditate and go within(the spiritual laboratory) to explore and experiment, there where He resides. Then there you shall have first hand experieces, without the application of the senses, which need to analayze just as here in the gross creation. There, only a pure mind is required, and purity can only fully be aquired by doing His selfless bhakti. Sat Sree Akal.

Do not take any such things to heart. People will always talk. How many mouths can we shut ? Do not get disturbed. Sikhee is simple and straightforward, but not all are meant to follow it, no matter how much we may want in doing so, because sikhee is not followed by one´s will, but by His Hukum, His Mauj. So remain calm. Each one has his own destiny chalked out, which no one can alter. If at all anything has ever to matter you, just see if you abide by Sikhee and have love and sharda at all times at His Lotus Feet, for when the cruel mind can change and show its true colours, we do not know... So Guest Jee, just look at others as actors playing their roles assigned by the Grand Director. Whether good or bad, they shall have to reap their own seeds. Our problem is, we want the world to act as per our thinking and beliefs; but the fact is that though our intentions may be good, but let us not take to heart if the opposite happens, for our only beloved True friend or any realtion you may name it, it is only Wahiguru, rest are all karmic settlements which have no reality. Just comments on your 2 points above: a)Your statement above shows how cowards you are. You throw the stone and hide your ahnd back and then deny it, means cowards plus liars. b) You maybe afraid or not of India, or the rest of the civilzed countries on whom you kill so wickedly. Why are you so complexed with inferiority? Nobody think less of you, but it is the ignorance thrown on 99.99% of you all by the fanatics which make you as good as devils. What use is of going to Kaaba, or praying 5 times a day, if your hearts and minds are full with poison? This means your prayers and rituals are ineffective, as they are not acepted at the court of Allah in your case of all as muslims, so do not fool yourselves, remove and kill if needed, to all those fanatics fiiling you all with poison. You see God is divine, and divinty plants and developes only virtues=goodness, in the hearts and minds of the devotees, be they of any dharam or mazab. So do not say you do not fear India though that is not correct... If at all you have to fear, then fear Allah, for you are so wicked that you think, he supports you in all the evil acts you perform. Fear for that day, when you shall die and go before him, and with what face, for commiting unjustices, atrocities, cowardice, untruth and a long list of vices in your registrar.... You shall be thrown without delay in the fires of hell, so that you experiment the same pain inflicted on others. It Is not a matter of having sympathies with left, right or center, but joining all to combat and extinguish terrorists, wipe them away to hell.... Picking up a knife If someone insults us according to our thinking, we usually dwell on it, asking ourselves, “Why did he say that to me?” and on and on. Focusing on the problem, is like picking up a knife, and repeatedly stabbing ourselves with it, saying, “He hurt me so much. I can’t believe he did that.”

This is real bhakti. By Wahiguru´s grace, we are being witness, that real bhagats do exist even now. It is His apaar kirpa. He is a real gem, take care of him Pen Jee. We all have devotion more or less "kachee", but the fact is, when one loves so much Wahiguru, all else becomes secondary to His lovers. Pray Wahiguru to keep you in his company as much as possible, as being in the company of such elevated gurmukhs, even stones(we the rest of the world) can get ferried away. The difference between these bhagats and the rest of us, is something to do with awareness. While they understand the value of life and thus dedictae as much as possible to Him, we, are much under the pressure of maya, thus our awareness is dull. Of course we can reverse this lack of awareness, but for that we have to pay a price, which is: oothaat baheethat sowat jaagat, ehey man Naam simray... Frankly speaking, I am so happy to read what you have written, as it is an inspiration to do more and more bhakti , and trust Him in the true sense. Sat Sree Akal.

Though I have a feeling the post above is suspicious... but anyhow, you say any advice would be appreciated, i will tell you leave this guy. If he really loves you, tell him to become a sikh. For what reason you should marry someone, whose religion induce violence and fanatism... Those who, by repeating the name of their so god, at that very moment they get mad, to the extent they kill or suicide. What the hell is this? This is no religion, it is utter madness. If their god has told them to do this nonsense, which I doubt, then we do not need any such god, for then there is no difference between that god and devil, as both induce you to be evil And you, you want to leave the path which leads to Wahiguru, for a perishable piece of flesh? Dear Guest Femaleboss jee, be thankful to Wahiguru for His apaar kirpa, that some sort of your past karam is being paid off through dreams. And those karmas which are our very own. But just look at His infinite grace, that even then, He allows you to take shelter at His Lotus Feet by repaeting His Name. it is a clear sign, of His beant wadeeayee.
