  2. Respected Mod, the quote you have presented above is not accurate, as it is not presented in the exact context, neither is an insult thus. Because, I was saying so as a metaphor. The exact sentence was : The holes in his head are due to: ahankar, fakeness, envy, so naturally anything poured into it, gets leaked out, and thus he remains as evil as his original nature. i am obviously not talking about physical holes, but about his mental holes, and that also due to his ahankar, fakeness and envy.... And when you say to stay objective in discussions, I agree with that, but that could only be possible, if that poster, wanted or had genuinely something to discuss about. But because of his personal differences with me since a couple of years, he continously keeps on discrediting whatever I write, even tries to put people against me...and many of his such mistakes I had been overlooking, thinking he may change for better, but no, he keeps on escalating in his hatred, and Mod jee, everythinhg has a limit, beyond which it is not tolerateable, one just explodes. The fact is, I do not agree even 1% of what he writes or says, but then too I never point him out, neither anyone else, that is not my style. I just leave him, beleiving it is not his time yet...but that does not mean, i drag him and make fool of him... you see nobody is perfect, begining with myself. You see, there are hundreds of members here, and how come it is always that very same person who always see you as wrong? When he himself has not descended direct from the heavens It has no logic ... I am not saying I am perfect, but, anytime I try to sing His mahima, His wadeeaye, he comes in between, and spreads his manmukhta, just because he dislikes me, which to an extent I can understand and accept, but, what I do not understand, if he is supposed to love Wahiguru, and me too, what the hell problem is? I am not promoting myself or any of my business, come on man, it is only Wahiguru Akal Purukh I hope it is clear :only Wahiguru Akal purukh and His Nao, above all and everything. I humbly ask for forgivness, if anyone has felt bad, but I had to say all this, so that nobody judges wrongly me just like that without knowing the whole story . I am not like that at the bottom of my heart, I am quite tolerant, because I myself am imperfect, but, if anyone wants problems, he will surely get them .... I usually have no problems with anyone, you may check all my posts since I joined this web 5 years ago, most of the members here are real angles, i am not going to name them, as it would not be fair, cause I may omit some names, but the fact is, they are very good gursikhs, and I admire that quality in them. Sat Sree Akal.
  3. !!! So much truth in this statement Pen Jee !!! We are here just to sing His Glory and share the bliss derived from it with all the sangat, and the more we share, it does not diminish, rather the more it grows and becomes stronger. But the problems arise, when, some due to their ahankar, jealousy, envy, hatred, untruthfulness....they want to get into the main picture, thus put Him out from the scene. And this can not be tolerated, neither should be.... Because, we are nobody, and He is Sachay Patshah. In these cases, those who promote disharmony with their manmukhta, should be expelled. Thus If the mad dog is sacrificed, there is no danger of contracting rabies .... Sat Sree Akal.
  4. Thanks brother Jacfsing2 and Simran Pen jee for your kind words and moral support. It is only for people like you being worth here. Sat Sree Akal.
  5. ON INDIAN POLITICIANS While hair cutting, official Barber asked Kapil Sibal: “What’s this Swiss Bank issue?” Kapil Sibal shouted: “You! Are you cutting my hair or making inquiry?” Barber: “Sorry Sir, I just asked.” Next day, while cutting the hair, he asked Chidambaram: “Sir, what’s this Black money issue?” Chidambaram shouted: “Why did you ask me this question?” Barber: “Sorry Sir, just asked you.” Next day, CBI interrogated the Barber, “Are you an agent of Baba Ramdev?” Barber: “No, Sir.” CBI: “Are you the agent of Anna?” Barber: “No, Sir.” CBI: “Then while cutting the hair, why did you ask Congress Ministers about Swiss Bank and Black money issues?” Barber: “Sir, I do not know why, but when I ask about Swiss Bank or Black money, Congress Ministers’ hairs stand up straight and that helps me to cut the hair easily. That’s why I keep asking.”
  6. A man came home late at night after a party. His wife yelled: "How would you feel if you don't see me for two days?" The man couldn’t believe his luck. He blurted out: 'That would be great'! Monday passed and he didn’t see her...... Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday passed too..... On Friday his swelling became better and now he could see her from the corner of one eye.
  7. Kaurp Pen jee, It is better to be surrounded by positive people, which care for you at any cost. Then it is also useful to be self confident and believe in oneself. The world is negative by nature will try to put you down in one way or the other, but if you believe in yourself, then lesser the chances to be attaked and wounded. Sometimes, to defend oneself, though one is peace lover, give some punches(not necessarily physical punches) in return to the ill wishers, to show them, nobody can behave badly or come out with their nonsense and get away without getting something in return. You see the world is like that, they do not like being decent or fair, they are just mad dogs, they just know how to bark ..... so just give them a good kick, to bring them back to senses. i am not promoting violence, but just saying, enough, of putting the other cheek when getting slapped by the wicked for nothing, just because they think abusing others, is being like a fanatic stupid manipulator hero. So go for 2 eyes, for an eye .... or whatever you get hold first, break it on them, so they know and feel by themselves, their very own evilness. You see, a thorn is removed by another thorn ... So be strong and get justice to yourself, do not expect anything from others. And then, never ever let frustrations enter yourself and get accumulated, because, once inside, they give birth to depression. Sometimes, due to circumstances, one can not do all this, in that case, do pranayam, and some yoga, to fill yourself with positive energy, and nullify and evil remanant within, thus regain confidence in oneself and start facing the world with redoubled strength. And along with all this, pray Wahiguru to help and guide you with His Light, His wisdom .... Sat Sree Akal.
  8. Brother, go to the Gurdwaras, there is plenty of Sewa, and also, whenever, wherever you see anybody is in need, just help to the best of your ability without any expectations, and then see, how Wahiguru gives you inner calmness, satisfaction, and a constant state of happiness, beyond imagination of any state found in this world. When one waters the roots, no need to water the trunks or the leaves of that tree or plant, in a similar way, when you do selfless Sewa, you get in tune with His Hukum God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.
  9. Brother, Life can only change if only you want it. You have no limits. Wahiguru is your reach. You see, athletes or sportsmen in general, to just get a piece of metal, call it gold, do training for hours and hours daily; and we think that to get the Highest, we shall get it just like that? The higher the goal, the higher the price.... And in this case, Wahiguru does not want big big words or hardships from us. Only do more and more Simran of His Naam, and that also that much, that you cease to exist, and only He remains. And then when you taste the inner Amrit aslo, you will see by yourself that the 5 vikaars no more trouble you, you wil be filled withe divine qualities, such as : humility, contentment, detachment from maya:colors, forms, and the deadliest of them, lust, shall be overcome in a natural way, without any suppression, or any force, means effortless.... And then all this is noting, but a bakshish of His Daya Meher, for one just loving Him, through His Simran. This the secret of Gurmat. Sat Sree Akal.
  10. Nobody Jee, we as humans have mental or physical ups and downs. And if we are down in anyway, we need help. At physical level, it may be some sickness or a disease, at mental level it may be a nervous breakdown with its several consequences in different forms in different individuals. Please do not consider it being weakness to ask for help from the right sources. It is all imposed manmukhta, that we men have to hide our sentiments... Of course we have to bear to an extent, but when we see it is out of our reach, it is better to ask for help, which is common sense, otherwise we may be silly to do the contrary. Wahiguru does not say, if you are a sikh and get sick do not go to the doctor, or do not take medicine .... You see, illness or destiny is due to past karam, which we may have to undergo by suffering it, or by paying it off with the doctors, chemists, etc .....The law of karam is quite complex.... As human beings, we should act as humans, with rationality. The path of Gurmat or ruhaniyat, is for the mind and soul, where we have to subdue our haume, and develop strong love, and firm faith at the Lotus Feet of Wahiguru, through His simran...that is it .... and from this as a result of His grace, one will get will power, and inner strength to face any karam and stay in His hukum. This is in nutshell, the character of a true sikh. May God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.
  11. KNOWLEDGE OF THE INFINITE You ask, "How can we know the Infinite?" I answer, not by reason. It is the office of reason to distinguish and define. The Infinite, therefore, cannot be ranked among its objects. You can only apprehend the Infinite by a faculty superior to reason, by entering into a state in which you are your finite self no longer, in which the Divine Essence is communicated to you. This is Ecstasy. It is the liberation of your mind from its finite consciousness. -- Plotinus
  12. NO TIME..NO TIME. I Knelt To Pray But Not For Long, I Had Too Much To Do. I Had To Hurry And Get To Work For Bills Would Soon Be Due. So I Knelt And Said A Hurried Prayer, And Jumped Up Off My Knees. My Religious Duty Was Now Done My Soul Could Rest At Ease..... All Day Long I Had No Time To Spread A Word Of Cheer No Time To Speak Of God To Friends, They'd Laugh At Me I'd Fear. No Time, No Time, Too Much To Do, That Was My Constant Cry No Time To Give To Souls In Need But At Last The Time Came, The Time To Die, I Went Before The Lord. I Came, I Stood With Downcast Eyes. For In His Hands God Held A Book; It Was The Book Of Life. God Looked Into His Book And Said 'Your Name I Cannot Find, I Once Was Going To Write It Down... But Never Found The Time' NO MATTER HOW BUSY WE ARE WE MUST FIND TIME FOR THE ONE WHO HAS GIVEN US SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LIFE & A WONDERFUL FAMILY !!!!!

  14. The Thief Catcher Machine Israelis invented a machine that catches thieves; they took it out to different countries for a test. In U.S.A, in 30 minutes, it caught 30 thieves; In UK, in 30 minutes it caught 50 thieves; In Spain, in 30 minutes it caught 65 thieves; In Ghana, in 30 minutes it caught 600 thieves; In India, in 15 minutes the machine was stolen !!!!!!!!! (with Government connivance.)
  15. THE JEWEL OF LOVE The Lord made me His own and I am drenched in His Love Even were my body put into flames I would not flinch for a moment, even were I to lose my life I would no break the bond of His Love. How can the jewel of love be obtained for nothing? In exchange for my very being I bought Him, the Priceless One. The Lord for whom Brahma sought in vain I have found within my own body. Says Kabir: I have become free from the ties of hopes and desires, I have met the Lord and am blessed with unshakeable faith in Him. The Lord has made me His own and I am drenched in His love. Bhagat Sree Kabir Jeeo.
  16. Words of Wisdom As persons living in a house infested with venomous snakes are always alert and cautious, so should men living in the world be always on their guard against the allurments of lust and greed. As dry leaves are blown about here and there by the wind, and have no choice of their own, and make no exertion, so those who depend on God, move in harmony with His will, and put no effort of their own. Sri Ramakrishna Parmahansa.
  17. SHARING ..... There Was A Couple Who Used To Go To Shop In The Beautiful Stores. They Both Liked Antiques And Pottery And Especially Teacups. One Day In A Shop They Saw A Beautiful Teacup. They Asked, "May We See That..? We've Never Seen One Quite So Beautiful." ' As The Sales Lady Handed It To Them.. All Of A Sudden The Tea Cup Spoke... "I Haven't Always Been A Teacup. There Was A Time When I Was Red And I Was Clay." My Master Took Me And Rolled Me And Patted Me Over And Over. I Yelled Out, "Let Me Alone", But He Only Smiled And Said, "Not Yet." "Then I Was Placed On A Spinning Wheel," The Teacup Said, "And Suddenly I Was Spun Around And Around And Around. Stop It! I'm Getting Dizzy!" I Screamed... But The Master Only Nodded And Said, 'Not Yet." Then He Put Me In The Oven... I Never Felt Such Heat. I Wondered Why He Wanted To Burn Me, And I Yelled and Knocked At The Door. I Could See Him Through The Opening And I Could Read His Lips As He Shook His Head, "Not Yet." Finally The Door Opened... He Put Me On The Shelf, And I Began To Cool. "There, That's Better," I Said. He Brushed And Painted Me All Over. The Fumes Were Horrible. I Thought I Would Gag. "Stop It, Stop It!" I Cried. He Only Nodded, "Not Yet." Then Suddenly He Put Me Back Into The Oven, Not Like The First One. This Was Twice As Hot And I Knew I Would Suffocate. I Begged Pleaded. I Screamed. I Cried. All The Time I Could See Him Through The Opening Nodding His Head Saying, "Not Yet." Then I Knew There Wasn't Any Hope. I Would Never Make It. I Was Ready To Give Up... But The Door Opened And He Took Me Out And Placed Me On The Shelf. An Hour Later He Handed Me A Mirror And Said, "Look At Yourself." I Did And I Said, "That's Not Me; That Couldn't Be Me. It's Beautiful... I'm Beautiful." "I Want You To Remember," He Said, "I Know It Hurts To Be Rolled And Patted, But If I Had Left You Alone, You'd Have Dried Up. I Know It Made You Dizzy To Spin Around On The Wheel, But If I Had Stopped, You Would Have Crumbled. I Knew It Hurt And Was Hot And Disagreeable In The Oven, But If I Hadn't Put You There, You Would Have Cracked. I Know The Fumes Were Bad When I Brushed And Painted You All Over, But If I Hadn't Done That, You Never Would Have Hardened; You Would Not Have Had Any Color In Your Life. ....And If I Hadn't Put You Back In That Second Oven, You Wouldn't Survive For Very Long Because The Hardness Would Not Have Held. Now You Are A Finished Product... You Are What I Had In Mind When I First Began With You. ******** God Knows What He's Doing For All Of Us...He Is The Potter, And We Are His Clay. He Will Mold Us And Make Us, So That We May Be Made Into A Flawless Piece Of Work To Fulfill His Good, Pleasing, And Perfect Will.
  18. So much fuss and confusion was created by a moorakh last week on this thread, when the only highlights in that post were, to remain in His Bhaana or Hukum by not asking, and moreover only engage lovingly in His Simran, for the purpose of merging in Him. This His only wadeeayee, was not accepted by the poisoned mind and heart of that ahankaree fellow, thus started criticizing and uttering nonsense as usual ... Today, I was going through the Holy Bani, and I came across same directions by Fifth Patshahee in His Bani Raag Gauree, which were mentioned in that post, but in different words: ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਪਉ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਮ Anadhin Japo Guroo Gur Naam अनदिनु जपउ गुरू गुर नाम Night and day, I meditate on the Guru, and the Name of the Guru. ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਭਏ ਸਗਲ ਕਾਂਮ Thaa Thae Sidhh Bheae Sagal Kaanm ता ते सिधि भए सगल कांम Thus all my works are brought to perfection. Sachay Patshah is also saying, night and day I have kept myself engaged in the devotion of His Simran, and He the merciful, has completed all my tasks, means my basic needs. He does not say, I asked for, then He gave, rather He gave without asking, and that also, what I really needed. He knows best, as He is our palanhaar, we are moorakhs, mugadhs, shameless bikharees. But to behave and have that thinking as mentioned by Guru Jee, in reality, is a state of mind, of those imbued with the Grace touch of His love. So naturally we can not expect this type of thinking from all, as many many may disagree...and that is normal and understandable to an extent. But that does not mean, remaining in His bhaana is wrong, but rather could be said, it is a sign of faith, of true love from us as sikhs, and at the same time, of Daya Meher, from Din Dayal Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Sat Sree Akal.
Liberation is only obtained, by meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. It is true what Jacfsing2 is saying the same with me.
  21. Maybe Singh ji is referring that Pappu (Papa) will find a bride or groom...?
  22. Simran Pen Jee, the post above is a forward I got from a friend, and I felt sharing it with the sangat here. I am no specialist in these matters, but as you ask me....so in my personal opinion, there should be no harm in it, as it is like drinking water, with the addition of coriander, which has beneficial effects, as it has a huge amount of vitamin C in it also. And I would say that as a general rule, if done in a normal way it should be o.k, avoiding excesses, as excess in everything is usually harmful; except His bhakti, which has no contraindications, no limitations of any kind, but only benefits....sarab rog ka aukhad Nam. Sat Sree Akal.
  23. CLEAN YOUR KIDNEYS IN Rs. 5.00 OR EVEN LESS Years are passing by and our kidneys are filtering the blood by removing salt and any unwanted bacteria entering our body. With time salt accumulates in our kidney and it needs to undergo cleaning treatment. How are we going to do this? Here is an easy, cheap and simple way to do it. Take a bunch of coriander (DHANIYA Leaves) and wash it clean. Cut it in small pieces and put it in a pot. Pour clean water and boil it for ten minutes and let it cool down. Next filter it and pour it in a clean bottle and keep it in refrigerator to cool. Drink one glass everyday and you will notice all salt and other accumulated impurities coming out of your kidney while urination. You will be able to notice the difference yourself! DHANIYA/CORIANDER is known as a best cleaning treatment for kidneys and the best part is it is natural!
  24. Waheguru Simran Pen Jee, all of the kirtan shabads of your selection above are just excellent. The mahima in them of our beloved Wahiguru is aparampaar... Dhanvaad Simran jee Sat Sree Akal
  25. SOME POINTS ON SPIRITUAL BASICS Out of the entire population of the world, few take up spiritual practice that is universal and beyond the confines of formal, organised religion. So let us see, some points spiritual practice(abhyaas, bhajan bandagee) and its benefits. Definition of spiritual practice Giving spiritual practice a clear definition helps us to better understand the purpose of spiritual practice. When we practice Spirituality with a clear purpose in mind, we have a better chance of success in growing spiritually. Spiritual Practice should be done on a daily basis What is common between a champion basketball player and a talented pianist? The answer is sincere and dedicated practice. By putting in regular effort in any field we improve over time. The same rule applies to spiritual practice; we need to make consistent efforts to progress Spiritually. Increasing the level of spiritual practice regularly Let's take the example of the champion basketball player and the talented pianist again. They got to their respective levels of skill by increasing the amount of time they devote to playing basketball or the piano regularly. Similarly, we should keep increasing our spiritual practice in terms of quality and quantity. Spirituality is to be experienced Would you rather eat ice cream or study the characteristics of ice cream? Just as you would likely rather eat the ice cream, it is most beneficial to put what we read about Spirituality into practice and experience it rather than only studying it. In Spirituality, words have only 2% importance while 98% importance lies in getting the experience of those words. Gaining spiritual experiences from spiritual practice When we start spiritual practice(abhyaas, bhajan bandagee), in order to encourage us, God speaks to us through spiritual experiences and assures us that He is near. Due to such experiences, our faith in spiritual practice goes on increasing and our doubts go on reducing. As a result we are able to move on from intellectual banter about Spirituality to true inner experience of God. Spiritual practice with expectation and without expectation Doing spiritual practice with expectations of worldly gain wastes our spiritual energy and prevents us from progressing spiritually. When we do spiritual practice without expectations of worldly gain with sincerity, God only takes care of our material needs as per what is required for our spiritual practice to continue. Learning to listen to an authority in Spirituality Would you try to win a court case on your own, or would you consult a lawyer? Or would you try to treat your illness on your own or would you consult a doctor? Spirituality is far more complex than any worldly field, so it is important to listen to someone who is an authority in Spirituality and is able to guide us in it. Own wish, other’s wish and God’s wish Most of us like to do what we want(manmukhta). By listening to others(Gursikhs), however, our ego(ahankar) reduces and if we go on listening to others(Gurmukhs) we eventually are able to understand and follow God's wish(Gurbani) due to our ego reducing. Sat Sree Akal.
