Sarkutavali is by Pandit Hardiyal Ji who was a descendant of Guru Amardas Ji Vairag Shatak was originally by Bharthari Ji in Sanskrit later rewriteb again by Pandit Hardiyal Ji Yog Darshan is by Patanjali. All these granths are supposed to be studied prior to gurbani to gain an understanding of the teachings given by the Guru

Bijla Singh, as far as vedant is concerned its essential ideal is that atma is parmatma. you can read this through the upanishads and the many vedant granths now online on www.punjablidigilib.com Sohang is only one mantar used by sanatanis including vedantis but they also use other such as oankar and oang. Gurbani considers the atma as parmatma not a part of parmatma but as itself. The rain drop and the ocean are same subatomically speaking. Gurbani and vedant state state that all things can be split into 5 20% parts. 60% of the individual is parmatma and the 40% is maya. On realisation of parmatma and that the soul is parmatma one merges with the divine whilst still on the earth. One big difference in vedant is that you get alot of sadhus calling themselves brahm while gurmat states if you are to reach this padvi you still remain humbla and continue your rehit and niyams as before such as great gurmukhs such as bhai randhir singh and sant gurbachan singh ji. now this point is interesting Vedant is all about “Sohan(g)” i.e. “I am Him”; have you seen the arths for Tu Sada Salamat Nirankar in the Garb Ganjani Teeka, Sooraj Prakash, Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji's katha/steek and ameer bhandar?

Vedant is as in the Upanishads The Upashna khand of the Vedas suggest the adoption of a Guru along with the Vedant. It does not stipulate who to adopt as a Guru or what form, for an example look into the life of datatreya. In Gurmat we adopt Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as the Guru and also the Khalsa panth. This is in line with Vedant which also states that sat sangat is necessary. The essential motion of vedant and gurmat is to use the life wisely in order to realise the truth, the Lord. As stated in the Rehraas, "Bhae Prapat Manukh Dehuria Gobind Milan Ki Ehi Teri bharia" There are some differences from gurmat to vedant but the majority of it is similar. differences such as dasya bhav. but the similarities to tatvan and tatpad exist. The one major difference is that Gurmat also has a focus on Bhakti while vedant just deals with discriminatory knowledge

The message of Vedant is that atma is parmatma and Gurbani states man tu jot saropp hai. paths of gyan khand are the same. through knowledge and bhakti can a person realise the lord. If you do not understand vedant then i suggest listening to sant gurbachan singh ji's katha. By the way vedant and the teaching of the veds are different

those videos are there because i got a chance to go up and record the videos, there were loads of singhs there recording and the year before, as with this year but again fail to provide the recordings for the sangat. what was the use of those recordings? If you are celebrating a barsi or something else and it is a benefit for the sangat why dont people share it with the sangat via the net?

Harsimrat, every year recordings are made of the samagams but they are never put on the internet. for some reason the taksalis like to keep all their recordings to themselves

No they are not amritdhari or Khalsa, they are a Vedanti Shastri who love Gurbani and sate it has no end to the essence of hte Lord
