  1. Anhad shabad should be present all the time if it requires effort to hear then it is not the anhad shabad because then there is still an ego who is still trying to hear it.
  2. You said about hearing the anhad shabad from within but how can it be because the anhad shabad is beyond our perception it is not part of the physical (Astool) or suksham(mental/astral) plane. Listening is done by the ears and mind but gurbani states that the the root of shabad is sukham that cannot be determined by the five senses or mind.
  3. I understand what you are saying but my interpretation of bani is not only limited to guru granth saheeb. Guru jyot is everywhere as it is equally in creation it is equally in guru granth saheeb. My understanding is shabad and guru jyot are the same. Thats what guru jee was bowing to in sidh gost when he was bowing down to the sadhus
  4. Something that is formless and that cannot be grasped by the five senses cannot be listened to by the five senses or heard from the mind. So listening would be out of the question unless your interpretation of listening is different than defined in the dictionary. There is a easier way how about you back track the shabad from where it came from by totally negating what is temporary and you will come to the source by logical conclusion. Trying trying and trying will make you tired and bring you to the brink of giving up.
  5. Who doesn't have the same shabad jyot? Everybody has it as without it we would not be.
  6. Jyot cannot be tainted as there is only pure jyot. True knowledge was there even before 1469 it has been covered in some older scriptures before guru granth saheeb. Only the presentation of how the knowledge was presented has been changed.
  7. You watch too many films your last few posts have been based but changed LOL on the discussion between bane and batman when they had that epic fight. Let me guess you also have watched Van Helsing and Django recently :lol2: Nice gravatar Stephen.
  8. But you didn't do anything wrong. Sorry my bad if it was because of that.
  9. I respectfully disagree with you I would only believe they had the same thinking if they all looked alike.
  10. If you say so.......................... How come your on quality control?
  11. Nope I think its against your religion to bite me :nono: Thought you would come up with some rehit that prohibits gatra to be worn on the right side. :blush2:
  12. When I say mind I mean a collection of thoughts and life experiences that they have gathered from birth. Each individual has different life experiences and different thoughts as they are brought up differently that causes them to form different principles from each other. We accept they looked different because of their varied genetic make up but why can't we accept they had different thoughts, temperament and ethics? As well as differences there were also similarities.
  13. Never expected you to ever say that :blush2: So what about the gatra issue?
  14. Why were their bodies different but not thoughts and feelings? Logic suggests their bodies, thoughts and feeling were different. Everyone is different we got to accept this it's like comparing between apples and bananas. Universally on the jyot level we are all one including the gurus.
  15. Yeh I love reading sidh gost makes me rethink the meaning of satguru. I don't think guru refers himself to be satguru but only referring to God as the only satguru. He also bows down to the sadhus and says I am bowing down to that one power behind you all so with that logic we can also bow down to all as long as we bow down to the one power behind all. As I was just rereading it now because if guru nanak is calling himself satguru then he sounds so egotistical like saying to the yogis you must bow down to me to get liberated. It doesn't add up. But coming to yoga I would like to see gurus writing about yoga that are not in the guru granth.
  16. You've tried everything now what's left? It's part of who you are just accept it as hukam this is what God wants from you. Don't feel guilty just accept it and live your life.
  17. I like to think we are all one on a universal level including the gurus. But each guru was different as they looked different and had different thoughts.
  18. So you are saying that some of guru nanak's teachings are not in the guru granth saheeb? Did he talk about yoga? was guru nanak for or against yoga in his other writings?
  19. I have question too, I am right handed and I can't write properly with my left hand but I read somewhere that people who write with their left hand are more intelligent. So should I write with my left hand but the thing is I can't and I can write much neater and faster with my right hand?
  20. It means play of the mind.
  21. Dreams don't mean anything if they are causing you problems see a psychiatrist. simple as. Any who happy dreaming :biggrin2:
  22. Ks55 is saying it right. No one has the same thought process and everyone is different like apples and bananas. Even the gurus had different thought process from each other.
