  1. How do you ban people from youtube? Let's get a bunch of people complain to youtube staff about this guy.
  2. Thanks Mehtab Singh for breaking down the list and explaining each point.
  3. Someone on youtube sent me this message to me: Brother, Sikh holy book has more contradictions then any other holy book-Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist but Islam has NO contradictions. 1. It teaches the contradictory concepts of God being Sargun i.e. with attributes and also Nirgun -without attributes (p287; p102). 2. It teaches reincarnation and yet the Guru Granth Sahib questions reincarnation(p748 M5; p1366 Kabir). 3. It teaches the concept of hell (p465 M1; p524 M5; p793 Ravidass; p875 Ravidass; p1383 Farid; Asa Kabirji GGS p484). And yet says hell does not exist (p969 Kabir). And it also teaches the mutually exclusive concept of karma & transmigration. If you are born again and again to pay for the sins of previous lives, why the need for hell or heaven? (p686; p156; Rag Malhar M3; Rag Gauri M5) 4. The Guru Granth Sahib says neither Hinduism nor Islam has the truth (p329 Kabir; p875 Namdev) and yet says that the opposite (contrary) is also true(p1350 Kabir).Guru Arjun Dev even validates the Vedas (p632 M5). And guru Govind Singh says Allah & Abhek (Ram) are the same and the Koran and Hindu scriptures are the same (Akal Ustat vs 16:86). 5. It claims that there is only one way to God (p920 M3; p1279 M1) and yet the Guru Granth Sahib also teaches there are many ways to God (p885 M5.7. It teaches that all humans are children of God ( p1118 M4) yet also says, not all, but only those who love Him are His children (p658 Ravidass). 6. The guru says that he is blind, ignorant and without enlightenment (p696 M4) yet he is called ?guru?, which means one who leads from darkness to light. 7. It teaches the existence of Heaven (p718 Namdev; p952 M3) yet the concept of Heaven is rejected(p969 Kabir). 8. It teaches that the world is a dream, an illusion and not real (p740 M5; p1187 M9 p1231 M9)yet guru Nanak says it is real (p463 M1). 9. Guru Arjun Dev claims that he was given supernatural powers (p782 M5) yet guru Nanak, admitted to the Siddh yogis that he performed no miracles(Bhai Gurdas // 1.42/43) 10. The Guru Granth Sahib rejects the Vedas (p329 Kabir) yet Guru Arjun Dev validates the Vedas (p632 M5). He also quotes them as though an authority(p632 M5). Guru Nanak also quotes them as though an authority (p831 M1).The fourth guru does the same and quotes them as though an authority (p998 M4). Namdev quotes the Gita as though an authority (p874 Namdev). Ravidass quotes the sage Vyas as though an authority (p658 Ravidass). 11. The Guru Granth Sahib says that everything was created by the agency of millions of Brahmas (p1156 M5). Yet the one God created everything ( p1 M1). 12. Dhanna jat is said to have worshipped a stone and God appeared to him. Yet stone worshipping is condemned (p1160 Kabir). Guru Granth Sahib gives no account of the creation of man and in fact says the Semitic books are false (p329 Kabir). Yet itself validates the existence of Baba Adam (p1161 Kabir). 13. The Guru Granth Sahib teaches that God does not incarnate (p1136 M5) yet talks of the Nehklank Avatar (p1403 Swayyas). 14. The gurus never called themselves divine, but in fact sinners in need of salvation by the Grace of God. (p156 M1; p536 M5; p261 M5; M5 p1301). Yet Swayyas sing praises and laudations to them and make them divine (p1405 Swayyas; p1407 Swayyas; p1408 Swayyas; p1409 Swayyas). 15. It teaches monism i.e. all is one reality and God is all (p846 M5; p464 // M1; p1291 // Malar M1; p131 Majh M5. Yet says that man is not the same essence as God but only resembles Him (p754 Suhi M3). Brother,no offense but Sikhism is like a anime type religion wth cartoon looking soldiers. Your parents fooled you. Islam is real.
  4. if a monah can get married in a gurdwara sahib then i do not see a problem on why a muslim can't get married in a gurdwara. Doesn't that statement imply that it is wrong for monay to get married in the gurdwara? Read between the lines then maybe you can see where I am coming from with this issue. On a side note, there are gurdwaras in this world that are trying to ban monay getting married in their gurdwaras. Check this link out for more info: http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/hard-talk/24...-marriages.html
  5. LMAO. Let's stay on topic though. Canadians don't view Sikhs highly at all. Sikhs in Canada need to clean up their image. Lets be clear on which type of Sikhs have earned this bad name. One is who "show" that they are Sikhs by wearing an external uniform, and the others who don't look Sikh but "do the dirty work", and "give more money to the Gurdwaare so that they keep running" (as if Gurujee's darbaar depended on some of these so-called....never mind). Who are the ones to earn this bad name? The ones who are fighting in the gurdwaras are the main culprits IMO. Also the whole air india bombing case didn't help the community's image at all. Remember not to confuse the term "sikh" and "indo-canadian". The media doesn't use the word "sikh" when comes to gang violence in Punjabi community in Canada. P.S. "Guru ji's darbar" is depended on a lot of money here in the west. all big and fancy gurdwaras aren't built and run free here in the west. You still got to pay expenses of running the place espeically for all these big and fancy gurdwaras.
  6. LMAO. Let's stay on topic though. Canadians don't view Sikhs highly at all. Sikhs in Canada need to clean up their image.
  7. Its not about nonamritdhari Vs amritdhari.......its ONLY about Amritdhari ppl at clubs To be honest, no one shouldn't be going to clubs at all. I am sure there are better ways of having fun.
  8. Seriously, all the monay haters here <admin-cut> Do we see non-practicing Muslims being rejected of marriage in their mosques? Do we see non-practicing Hindus being rejected of marriage in their mandirs? Do we see non-practicing Christians being rejected of marriage in their churches? I hope to god that monay stop going to the gurdwara so that these gurdwaras would be shut down since you need money to run these big fancy gurdwaras we see here in the west. Remember that majority of money donated at gurdwaras comes from monay. Mod note: children use this forum have some shame. watch your language in future you've been warned.
  9. WOW! We got an amritdhari vs non-amritdhari debate here and I am not part of this debate? :D
  10. Jews held in highest esteem, national poll shows Amount of contact influences approval JEFF HEINRICH, The Gazette Published: Sunday, September 09 Canadians think highly of Jews, less well of Muslims and even less well of Sikhs, a new national poll suggests. Asked whether they had a favourable opinion of each group, the 1,500 people surveyed by LĂ©ger Marketing across Canada said they hold Jews in the highest esteem (78 per cent), Muslims considerably lower (61 per cent) and Sikhs least of all (53 per cent). And in each case, how much a person approves of one of the minority religions depends on how much contact he or she has had with them. The more contact, the higher the esteem, the poll found. Forty-five per cent of Canadians are in contact with Jews often or occasionally, according to the poll. Only 37 per cent are in touch with Muslims, and only 21 per cent with Sikhs. The high level of contact with Jews may be surprising, because in fact there are fewer Jews than Muslims in Canada. According to the 2001 federal census (religion data from the 2006 census are not yet available), there are 330,000 Jews in Canada and 580,000 Muslims. Sikhs number 278,000. By contrast, there are 13 million Roman Catholics in Canada, almost 9 million Protestants, and nearly half a million Christian Orthodox (as well as 297,000 Hindus and 300,000 Buddhists). About 4.8 million Canadians in 2001 said they have no religion. Where the minorities live varies, and so does the majority's contact with them. People in Ontario, B.C. and the Prairies have the most contact with Jews - around one in two people there sees them often or occasionally - whereas in Quebec, only one in three people is in contact with them. Muslims are most often interacted with in Alberta (48 per cent), Ontario (43 per cent) and B.C. (35 per cent). Sikhs are best-known in B.C. (44 per cent), Alberta (30 per cent) and Ontario (25 per cent); they're virtually unknown in Quebec (four per cent, lowest in the country). Approval ratings also vary widely by province. Only 69 per cent of Quebecers have a favourable opinion of Jews - the lowest level in Canada. By contrast, Jews are held in highest esteem in the Maritimes (85 per cent), the Prairies (84 per cent) and Ontario (80 per cent). Muslims fare best in Ontario and the Maritimes (about 66 per cent) and worst in Quebec (52 per cent). Sikhs are best-regarded in B.C. (66 per cent), Ontario (59 per cent) and Alberta (51 per cent). About one in 10 people polled refused to answer the question or simply didn't know what they thought, except regarding Sikhs. For Sikhs, a higher percentage - one in four - refused or didn't answer, perhaps reflecting lack of knowledge of Sikhs (except in B.C., where 14 per cent declined to answer or had no opinion). Conducted for the Montreal-based Association for Canadian Studies, the telephone poll was done over seven days from Aug. 22 to 28. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 per cent, 19 times out of 20. http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/news...a9-26eb5be817b5
  11. It wouldn’t be hard to commit a terrorist act when security is really beefed up this day? But Bin Laden did come out with a video though. That is a terrorist act itself. :D
  12. Seriously can’t believe this topic is still going on. Whatever happened to using your common sense?
  13. In 1756, the Marathas under Raghunath Rao defeated the Afghan Ahmed Shah Abdali on his first attempt at conquering India. The Marathas chased the retreating Afghans back to Attock. The Sikhs and Khatris (the dominant groups of Punjab) were co-operative to the Marathas for having successfully removed the Muslims from their land and signed formal treaties of friendship. At the formation of the Dal Khalsa in 1748 at Amritsar, the Punjab was divided into 36 areas and 12 separate Sikh principalities. From this point onwards the beginnings of a Punjabi Sikh Empire emerged. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punjab_region Is this true?
  14. So what is Khalsa doing to protect themselves and innocent people against Bin Laden and his boyz? Dude today's Khalsa struggle to protect their own women against the average Pak paedo let alone Binny's boyz....lol Don't forget that they're too busy claiming only they're sikhs while rest of us (non-amritdharis) aren't sikhs at all. :D Don't worry, if the tutti hits the fan and they get stretched, we will become brothers all of a sudden. Seen it happen before. Lol Besides the question of who is Sikh and who isn't wont be decided by them. You should let go of that one dude. Lets see who gets power in the long run. The way I see it, right now people are so disgusted with the corruption at the heart of Amritdhari institutes such as SGPC etc. which are often just a front for some greedy landowners that soon people will walk away in disgust when one talks whether he is actually a good guy or not. If Amritdhari people love Khalsa so much, why aren't any bravely cleaning up their own house up before pointing fingers. They are making the shaan of the Khalsa dull and all can see the hypocrisy. History is going to judge many of today's Khalsa really harshly when people see what they stood by and allowed. As for dealing with the issues you talked about before - I guess they're leaving it to regular Panjabi street guys. I know. That is why I hate these people with passion because these people don't consider us Sikhs, but yet, they want us to do their dirty work at same time. Also fact that they always ask us for money so that they can live off it and pimp their gurdwaras up. It isn't fair. That is why we need to stand up against these people and speak about this issue more openly in our community before people start creating their own sects/groups/jathas etc..

  16. By the way, does anybody here have recent bin laden video?
  17. So what is Khalsa doing to protect themselves and innocent people against Bin Laden and his boyz?
  18. Please do post pictures here. I want to see how "foolish"/"cool" they look. :D
  19. screw bin laden! I can't believe we actually have this topic on this website.
  20. How come no one else is replying in this thread? I guess everybody here is a fat *edited* :D
  21. So true. Does your local gurdwaras have a gym/weight room?
  22. So in other words, my comment was off-topic, right? If so, then how come we don't see mods editing other people's off-topic posts on other threads?
