  1. Alleged Atrocities Committed by War Criminal Brar in June 1984 Attack on The Golden Temple A cursory glance at the more heavily GOI propagandised Indian newspapers, shows that opposition by the Indian National Congress Party (itself, by no means united on this issue), to the memorial to the martyrs of the June 1984 attack on Shree Harimandir Sahib, shows no signs of abating anytime soon. When considered with the wider perspective of a minor alleged assault on Brar, the hysteria eagerly whipped up by collaborating media about the memorial is a sure way of deflecting attention away from its self-created problems that threaten to topple its government. It is a tried, tested and proven method of scaring the Indian electorate into allowing Congress to retain its loose grip on a population that is day by day losing confidence in its ability to properly utilise the vast funds available for its disposal (as the GOI). At least, that is, to the benefit of anyone other than its senior ministers and their families(!) See "Robert Vadra" and "Salman Khurshid" (for a couple of more recent shambles out of the broader series of illicit dealings to emerge from the corrupt Congress machine). Revelations about rampant corruption within the Congress Party are now emerging so fast that a new exposee emerges before the last had any time to settle down. It must be ruing the day Anna Hazare came out of nowhere to emerge as its nemises. The way things stand, Congress looks set to receive a humiliating drubbing at the next polls. Its UPA allies are already withdrawing support and we haven't even reached election time. Amidst this backdrop, it becomes clear why the Congress Party is reverting to its yellowy divisive and diversionary politics of yesteryear (think "Indira" and "Rajiv"). Its desparation will only increase as it approaches the Elections, so expect to see more of the same. That's why I see the minor alleged assault on Brar as part of the above struggle to retain power. Therefore, I am not too concerned with the Congress Party controlled Indian media spin on Brar. The truth will out. And to an extent, much of it already has. Let the investigation reveal the rest. I have read some excellent articles by several commentators, not least by T Sher Singh, Dal Khalsa and SF-UK, which in my opinion are the best pieces of analysis I have read on the topic, that have already comprehensively taken Brar's allegations apart to pieces and ripped his continuously changing story to shreds. Enough has probably already been said about the Brar alleged minor "assault" episode/stunt.
  2. Having read a few (heavily biased, prematurely "certain", poorly written, reeking of "panic measure", in short, desparate) "articles" (originating out of new delhi). The reporting around the alleged assault, even if it is, to be taken at face value, as a case of GBH, and not, as it seems, a set-up, even regardless of who did or didn't rough him up, means little in the grand scheme of things. It appears to be little more than a desparate tactic (although, poorly executed) to gain political mileage (within India only, nobody in their right mind overseas would take these ludicrous articles seriously). (With the caveat of course, that it is within an overall strategy to, at the very least, contain, if not systematically suppress the voice of Punjab). Indian "journalism" suffers from the same symptoms of blatant state interference as that in any region that is any one of underdeveloped, undemocratic, dictator-led. The guy is a never-was who holds no power but that as a pawn of GOI (or more specifically, RAW). He is used every now and again to serve its agenda. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear more stories like this in the impending future, as GOI increasingly begins to panic as it sees the ground disappearing from underneath its feet.
  3. Lolololol. You can see right through that (incredible) article to see what its objective is. I am struggling to recall whether I have ever read more tripe than the quantity spilling out of the six short paragraphs above. There's got to be some kind of record for the most bull concentrated into a few hundred words of a published article. Serious, unbiased, reasonably credible reporting, that a person of mid-level intelligence might actually be tempted to believe, free of any ulterior motive (or, at the very least, it being reasonably concealed!) simply doesn't exist in India. And to think that this ridiculously incompetently assembled concoction is run by a newspaper calling itself "The Times of India". I'll assume that's an article it ran on its website only.
  4. My two cents. The issue of Brar allegedly being assaulted does not matter at all to the host community. Nor (much) for any impartial outfit in the host media. Nor for any other impartial entity in the west. However, the BBC is certainly excluded from this list. It has been in the laps of the Indian Government, for what seems like forever, and current evidence shows that this is not changing anytime soon, which, for a state funded media outfit that is supposed to be impartial and free from external influence, is a matter that requires investigation in its own right. Brar counts for nothing to the the average person in the host community, and, as - a retired general of a foreign armed services personnel renowned for its infamously systematic human rights violation of its own population, - about whom serious concerns abound over his behaviour in leading a botched military assault on a place of worship that resulted in massive civilian casualties, and was accompanied by a miserable failure to acheive its stated objectives, leading many independent observers to conclude that the euphemistically termed military "action" was the mere cover for the pre-planned genocide that duly followed, - who should have known better (at the very least, you would expect, at his age!) not to be nonchalantly, casually dilly-dallying around Oxford Circus well after dark, he carries little, if any, weight with any policy/law maker outside India. Therefore, if there is to be any serious intent on the part of GOI to interfere in any related stakeholder group, then it appears to be specifically the residents of Punjab, and to a lesser degree, the NRI community. It may have optimistically attempted to influence foreign lawmakers too, as some have observed, however, (I believe) it will fail in this regard. Whether its plan works with regards to the former objective depends entirely on how our community plays its cards.
  5. [quote name='chatanga' timestamp='1349185863' post='552782' But we should be prepared for some manifestation of the 'dark immigrant horde menace' in some of the more populist tabloids over here (those mothers usually never miss a chance like this). No, lets get in first and have our say before these monkeys make us look like monkeys. A truly welcome point.
  6. Thanks bro. Any sources for the above info, particularly points 1 to 7. What I am looking for is books and published articles or links.
  7. I would also believe that while I have not gone through the list above, it is highly unlikely that you will find the names of any Sikh victims on it. The Sikh community, in my opinion, needs to think long and hard about why this is, because this flies in the face of ground reality: From my own experience, whilst I do not even hail from a majority Sikh area (the majority of my neighbours are Pakistani Muslims). At least 50% of the victims of these gangs are Sikh Females of widely differing ages and I can draw a list of around 20 cases that I know of myself. Sikhs really need to take a long hard look in the mirror and think why they are the victims and they don't seek justice.
  8. This is an excellent initiative and I commend it highly. If it could be formalised (i.e. a website or at the very least a blogspot), I believe such a list could be turned into a powerful database to document evidence of horrific unashamed sexual abuse committed scarily exclusively by members of one community in particular. This would help journalists, lawmakers, law enforcers and groups working for victims better understand why there is a problem with this type of behaviour in a section of the Pakistani Muslim community, and therefore come to a conclusion and develop solutions for what to do about it.
  9. Thank you karkoosingh23 for this info. I don't doubt any of these statements. However, in order to disprove a widely held proposition (myth) such as gandhi's, we need hard evidence and fact. It is our duty as Sikhs belonging to Waheguru and Waheguru alone to support the truth and expose falsehood. Therefore, we should be doing a lot more to destroy the propaganda myth of gandhi and non-violence. We can't get away from the fact that we need hard evidence, though. Are you able to provide documented evidence for these claims? (apologies if the videos present such evidence, I will try to take some time out to watch them.)
  10. WAHE GURU KIRPA. The thanks is all Waheguru's; we are just part of their hukam. To help fulfil their hukam in whatever small way that we can is each and everyone of our's personal duty.
  11. I don't mind at all my brother, and thank YOU. I hope this helps more people to increase their charity donations.
  12. For those who are employed, you can donate your Dasvand in a tax efficient manner through the little known, highly effective and whole heartedly charitable idea of SALARY SACRIFICE. This involves instructing your employer to pay part of your salary directly to any UK registered charity of your choice, BEFORE it is taxed as income. If your employer is doubly generous, it may even add 20% on top of your donation. In this way, if you are a 40% taxpayer, if you donate £100 to the Sikh Channel every month through your payslip, it becomes £120 when it hits SC's bank account. (20% topup from employer). But the sweetest part is still to come. Your donation of £100 has only cost you £60 from your pocket in real terms, because this is what you would have received if it was taxed as income (at 40%). If you are a 20% taxpayer, it would have cost you £80. And that's before you consider your employer's donation of 20% on top. This is especially relevant if u support the Sikh Channel because it is a UK registered charity, and is therefore eligible to be supported this way. (This goes way further towards helping your chosen charity than it claiming gift aid on youq donation, which is not automatic, and instead requires both the donor and the recipient to fulfil conditions). While I was employed, I used to donate all my income over the 40% income tax threshold to charity through Salary Sacrifice. Therefore, I doubled the monetary value of my donation - £120 p.m. to various charities cost me only £60 p.m. out of my pocket. Or in annual terms, £1440 worth of donations at a cost to me of only £720.
  13. Support the Sikh Channel and your own businesses by advertising on them. Sikh TV was noticeably very good at this.
  14. No idea why the link doesn't appear correctly. I've tried to edit it at least 5 times but it still cuts out part of the hyperlink when displaying, no idea why, maybe the admins want to block shaheed khalsa dot com! If u replace the # with khalsa dot com it should work. Either that or google "Journey of Sovereignty Bhai Santbir Singh". http://shaheed-#/sovereignty.html
  15. LOL. Sorry, but I couldn't help but chuckle. My young brother, you are going to come across dozens upon dozens of Sant Jee's alleged statements that have been twisted by RAW agents to split the Hindu-Sikh unity of the common people of Panjab. Just as the Mughal Government did with Baba Banda Singh and the Panjabi Muslims who fought for his Khalsa Army and Khalsa Raaj. You would never believe someone who said "oh they said so and so" without verifying with the source and thus you must do the same whenever anybody, irrespective of whether due to lack of knowledge or deliberate intent, attempts to slander Sant Jee. That's why I strongly recommend watching or listening to all of Sant Jee's speeches made during Dharm Yudh Morcha. With youtube and English translations it is really easy these days. In my day, it was a 10 pack of audio cassettes! Because, in my humble opinion, the best way to learn about a person is to hear it from themselves. Then you can judge for yourself what he really said. Sant Jee explains the alleged statement in his own words in his speech. Who am I or anyone else for that matter to explain, when my messiah himself already has. It takes heart and integrity to understand Sant Jee. And moreover, it takes the honesty of a Bhagat to understand Sant Jee and further truly represent all that he stands for to your common man.
  16. Re the link regarding why Sant Ji took up residence in Akal Takht and fortified it http://shaheed-#/sovereignty.html
  17. Listening to Sant Jee taught me so much about Sikhi that I wouldn't have known where to start without him. He isn't merely the greatest person of the 20th century. He is the single greatest influence on my life and that of several of my closest comrades. BHINDRANWALE DE SOCH TE PEHRA DIYANGE THOKK KE!

  19. I too have been guilty of the slander of a true saint. There is no excuse. No one else to blame. Just one's own ego. http://frontlinepunjabiyouth.blogspot.co.uk/2008/02/ive-been-sent-audio-file-of-interview.html?m=1
