  1. Bhagat Sain was a Sikh of Bhagat Ramanand, he followed his hukam on prema bhagti and lo Akal Purakh took his form and did his duty for him (Bhagat Sain) when Bhagat Ji was absorbed in Kirtan. Hence in that way we are Sikhs of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who came in ten forms. We must follow his Hukam like Bhagat Sain followed Bhagat Ramanand Ji's. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
  2. We accept Guru Sahib as our Guru. We also need to follow his hukam as well. Then and only then will our Bhagti have any effect.
  3. Lets say their actions speak for themselves but only after close scrutiny and help from Waheguru can we ascertain that.
  4. U do have a point in my opinion. I agree with ur point on hypocrites. But then are there more hypocrites at a given time than Gursikhs, real Gursikhs?
  5. I agree with that but I just had the thought. Is the judgement due to us failing in our duty to preach aspects of Sikhi to our fellow Sikhs? How many Sikhs are there that always join the anti-Kirpan bandwagon. You would think they would at least respect their own faith.
  6. I think it is a growing issue. Might be good to keep tabs on it. Many people do not know what amrit is, or the importance of amrit today. They suffer under delusions, and think it is right to stereotype amritdharis. But again it might be a question of reaching out to these people and explaining that there is more to Sikhi than meets the eye. There is more to Amrit than meets the eye. Most modern day Sikhs, who grow up in "modern" non-Gurmat houses and are "proud" of their Indian heritage seem to associate it with extremism especially in a post-Khalistan world, where the Indian government's narrative is oft repeated.
  7. Do you think there is a widening gap of sorts between amritdharis and non-amritdharis? I was reading these comments left on a news site and this person repeatedly called Amritdharis drug sellers etc. It seems he is saying that amrit is not necessary and amritdharis have a violent agenda in wearing the Kirpan. Again if you think about it many non-amritdharis (this is my experience) seem to always say there is no need to wear the Kirpan etc. if u have Bhagti and they seem to stereotype keshdhari and Shastardhari Singhs. What do you think?
  8. I have read and heard that mahapurakhs do not eat much because if u think about it, sustenance is derieved from naam (am I right?) when thats the case one gives up eating because even vegetables have life. The air we breath in contains life which gets destroyed when we inhale, the water we drink has life. All in all I think matters of food are for us who have not reached higher levels of bandgi yet. Guru Maharaj's food was Kirtan. Those who have become with Waheguru do not need food at all, whether vegetables or meat. On the other hand though just because we are dominant on earth in terms of power, doesn't mean we go around slaughtering lower life forms for our pleasures in tastes. 25. Eat less, sleep less, speak sweet and be honest. 26. Don't eat food at all, while walking and eat food slowly with patience. This from Gyani Kartar Singh Ji's instructions to Bhai Amrik Singh Ji.
  9. Thanks for this treasure chest Veer Ji.
  10. All I am trying to find is the final saying on the matter. And what do you mean the way I am trying to insinuate?
  11. Thanks for this. But I am going to take a heads up from here and start my own research. After all our veechars all differ. And so do our ultimate goals regarding this topic.
  12. I am not saying that. All I am saying is that we should follow Sant Ji's writing on the matter. Again u r the wise one and I just always ask the "controversial", "juicy" topics and am "bored."
  13. New Punjabi film Sadda Haq on 1984 and post issues faced by panth. What do you think, will this help the Sikh cause of getting Khalistan, invoke discipline in Sikhs in Punjab (those influenced by drugs) or just present Sikhs as terrorists? WHAT DO U THINK?
  14. Veer Ji sorry I wasn't laughing at u but what a person said before u posted on this thread. Should have quoted, I am sorry.
  15. It just a plan to defame Sikhs. Already with the '84 memorial attention is being put on Sikhs in India. We are being portrayed in the same light as the Jews were in Nazi Germany. Just look at the reaction after the attack, Sikh! It was on everyone's tongues. And the "beard" and "knife" is often associated with Sikhs. I am not saying Kirpan is a knife but just how people seem to have that general perspective.
  16. Theres a new fb page. Stop Sikh terrorism, the foolish admin posted a Indian express link saying Babbar Khalsa is suspected. It seems now that Indian mentality considers Babbars have moved from Canada to Uk.
  17. Umm can anyone explain what is going on in this video. Regarding jhatka and Hindu style aarti.
  18. Can anyone tell the bachans of Baba Thakur Singh Ji and if they have come true or not? And what is the Bachan regarding Attari border?
  19. This is the first time I posted this. Related to Shiva that is. Why? Their mentality is that overtime Hinduism is advanced. A bit like the iphone. Iphone 1,2,3,4,5.
  20. That makes sense. So really there is nothing more to the incident than the manifestation of Waheguru's power in an earhtly, sargun form of Sri Sahib?
