Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsaa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!! Penji, if you take your Kirpan off, Kirpa is going to go down. Why do you want to go down in the struggle of going up? Keep your Kirpan on which makes you brave and Guru Sahib ji's daughter. I would just say, keep your sangat of Gursikhs. The right solutions to this is elevate your spiritual life even more so you do not feel uncomfortable! If you are surrounded by manmukhs - they can only think with their small minds which are already polluted! How can you expect to find directions from a person who is already lost the way. Just like that, how can you expect to hear kind words from manmuks who know nothing of right and wrong. ( I know its easy to say, hard to do. But you can do it because you are Amritdhari Singhni). If you are surrounded by Gursikhs they will look at you with pyaar and all the awesomeness!! Sangat play a big part, I am not saying eliminate manmukhs sangat just because of hair issue, I am saying this because as a Gursikh its useful to do so If you go to the root of this, ( as I see it) Why does a person do bujjer kurehet? Maybe because of insecurity. Why would a person not do bujjer kurehet? Because of love for Waheguru. Don't let a such a small internal conflict to give up on such precious love of Waheguru :l: And you know look at the nature of internal conflicts like insecurity, they start and go to a peak where they bother you a lot, that is when you are under most pressure to make decision, you either do it or not. If you do it, then that is what you do. But if you dont do it, you start to adjust and get comfortable with yourself. You start getting courage and accept yourself. And then you go down from the peak. Slowly, the hair issue would be a non-issue in your life. Let me know what you think

You know what, I will not judge you in anyway. Only Guru Sahib knows what is right and wrong. I just really hope everything gets better with you and may you get the best! I am glad that you are conscious and don't want to ruin any girl's life. I just want to say I totally respect you for it!! And it is actually a really good advise from a Singh that just tell your parents you don't want to get married at all! It might be a BIG trauma for them and they still may expect you to get married after yearss, but maybe that is what you got to do right. Just say you have problem with girl instead if you do not want to tell about being gay. If you do want to tell them, that would be great too as then they will better know the reason why you don't want to get married and not stay optimistic for years. And after years, they will automatically get over right. You said you are convinced and also have done ardaas and everything. Maybe this is what you got to do now. Other than that, I just wanted to say that if you really want to get right answer ( Only GUru Sahib knows ) and absolutely do no wrong at all, elevate yourself as much as you can. Do naam simran, paath and ardaaas. You are Amritdhari singh which means you are the lucky one to recieve this precious blessing which gives you tremendous power to become a True Gursikh. Go on this journey and see how you find your answers. Also, this wil give you peace!!!! Gurbani solution of everything, gives us courage and strenght in all situations

I ll try to explain what I mean. I have sangat of some of Panj Peyare with Guru ji's Kirpa. I have heard many cases like these. If we knowingly or unknowingly break rehet by commiting 4 kurehet , then it is important to get pesh again. It is all about Kirpa right. We loose Kirpa when something wrong happens to us and that causes us to go downwards in life. Please get me clear, I am not promising you that everything is happened because maybe you broke the rehet. But I am just saying this could be a reason perhaps. Doing Ardaas is great. If my kanga, or any kakaar gets seperated from my body accidently, I do ardaas and everything is well. But you know like bujjar kurehet is different. And always remember Guru Sahib forgives!! There is no body as forgiving then Guru Sahib. He gives sustenance to people who even dont believe in his existance! He loves his children And you are a beautiful child of Guru ji! I can understand if you feel a bit uncomfortable in going to Panj Peyare. But their is a point in going to Panj Peyare. Panj Peyare = Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji. There is no fear in talking to our own Father!! TRUST ME!!! We do Ardaas to Akaal Purukh about forgiveness, then why fear Guru Sahib who is part of Akaal Purakh! And yes, it is a normal thing that panj peyare gets busy after Amrit Sanchaar. What I mean is you should go in Amrit Sanchar and get pesh ( You go to Amrit Sanchar , you tell them that you accidently did something, they just tell you to do some kind of seva, then they give you Amrit again, and then its all great! ) . If you still arent sure what to do my dear, just go talk to a Gursikh at Gurdwara or wherever you see Call local Gurdwara? Everything will be great!

You know the thing you are struggling from, it is absolutely possible that you probably did some mistake that is why it is happening. Even tho u live far away, what you can do is do ardaas to Guru ji to somehow get you to access Panj Peyare and do every effort you can to reach them. This is very important.

Can I know what you ate? I mean if it was something related to Kurehet, then it is very important to solve. Even if it is by mistake, if it is one of Kurehet, it is important to go to the Panj Peyare and remember Guru Sahib always forgives us. Maybe that is why you are feeling this way because of this. My fellow sister , I would suggest you to do more and more and MORE Naam Simran becuse that is the what will help you! Veerji made a very good point about mann - remember mann is like our biggest dushman because it just dosnt listen to us! Gurbani says - Only when the mind is silenced, soul's voice is heard. And soul is nothing except for the part of Waheguru ( Isnt this beautiful! :l: ) . It does make sense because you are saying when you do simran, your mann keeps on talking talking to you. You want your mann to stay queit! ( See Gurbani is so great :rolleyes2: ) .Do more seva as seva washes the filth of mind. It helps kill ego ( the "I" , because there is no "I" , we are part of Waheguru ). Amritvela? :laugh2: That is when Guru Sahib ji gives free blessings!! If your mann fights with you, come out more brave and fight your mann in even more brave way! Remember khalsa is always at war - the inner war. So this time, be as strong in rehet as you can be! Do this also to show Guru Sahib how much you love them. Remember you have to win this! This is the only right way my dear.

Ardaas and seva

I dont really look down upon girls who are wearing western, decent clothes. I respect if I see a Singhni wearing decent clothes at Collage, malls or anywhere. I respect her because I just feels she knows she is Guru Ji's daughter and acting like one. Even though there is nothing wrong with wearing decent western clothes, I still love to wear bana! They are your true clothes afterall!

You remember the Ardaas we do everyday says Guru Gobind Singh ji Sabh Thaai Hoye Sahae ( Guru Gobind Singh ji is the protector in all places) In Japji Sahib we read everyday that the True Father to which we belong, is Nirbhao and Nirbher (Without fear and without enemy) . We are daughters of Great Father and Grandfather who fought bravely for what was right, sisters of Saahebzade who remained true to their Guru till the last breath, and ofcource daughters of such amazing Mata Sahib Kaur and Mata Gujri ji who had upmost love for Guru Sahib! How can we be scared dear? When you feel scared, start doing Naam Simran in your heart! Do Ardaas in your heart say - Guru Sahib please protect your daughter Maharaj ji. Reapeat in your mind - Jin Nirbhao Jin Har Nirbhao thiiaaya Ji Tin Ka Bhao sab Gavasi ( That person who has chanted the Name of Fearless God, all his/her fear is destroyed )

Science does not have proofs of everything either. Sikhi is the most practical religion on Earth and I can not even try to show you how in this post. It is good that you are asking questions because questioning it is the very first step so you can clear your doubts and see your own what is right wrong. I will give you an example. Science has now discovered that various types of waves such as Gama wave and Beta exists all around us, but can we see with human eyes? People would definately laugh at this if this was said centuries back because it was not proven by scientists yet. But did those waves not exist back in the time? There was a quote from Einstein which said that it is possible to find what supports one law of physics , and then go back and find which law supports that law. But if we go back to the very last law which is the building block of all the laws present, it is impossible to find how that law exists. Even Einstein said he believes that a greater power surrounds this whole Universe which is not man made, and impossible for a man to understand. And if we try to make sense of this, Guru Nanak Dev ji, the founder of Sikhism already described 500 years ago that Sachkhand ( heaven/ God) to exists and surrounds around the whole creation. Guru Nanak Dev ji already said 500 years ago that there are numerous universe and solar systems that cannot be numbered, yet scientists are now beginning to believe the same. Also, Big Bang Theory suggests that Earth was formed when debris condensed and resulted in huge bang and production of tremendous light and in the Universe. This pressure also generated a sound which is still thought to be present in the Universe but scientists are not sure what that exact sound is. Guru Nanak Dev ji explains this in Gurbani. Guru ji says the pressure resulted in light and sound - Ong - which is still present in the Universe. Gurbani describes that there are sounds which cannot be heard with human, but are present. They are called Anhad - Shabad. Sikhi is logical. It totally is. And there is a part of you that knows the right thing, that is why you came here to ask about it God is not found outside in the jungle, He is present just inside and it is by the Naam abheyaas when He can be felt, seen. To be very honest with you, I actually think you are really lucky to feel that pull inside you soul which is guiding you :biggrin2: . Not everyone gets that, people are just found to fonder confused and lost. But it is Guru Sahib's so much Kirpa that you feel that!! Waheguru Ang Sang

Do Ardaas so many times to Guru ji to make you meet Gursikhs. When we ask our parents for something, they always give us. And yes, Guru ji is our Sangat. Just get more and more better in you rehet and Naam Abheyaas. Use all that energy into Naam Simran and paath which you would use chatting with your manmukh friends.

Tell you what, the place where I live, I know SO MANY kids/teenagers who are Gursikhs but come from totall mona family. One Gursikhs was saying that in this time of the world, kids are showing the right way to parents rather than parents showing kids. So this is the "Kirpa time" for all of us teenager. I will tell you my story, which is the very similar to yours. I always had extreme pyaar for Amrit, Guru Sahib blessed me 2 years back. One day before Amrit Sanchaar, I did alot of Ardaas and Naam Simran with Guru Ji's Kirpa and went to my parents room to ask them if I have a ride to Gurdwara Sahib tomorrow. They asked me why and I said for Amrit Sanchar! I still remember that pause which came after that :biggrin2: , I wasnt scared rather giggling and listening to their "munda ni milna" , "ur too young" , " you wont be able to follow rehet" . I was giggling because I knew it's my True Father's Hukam of blessing me with Amrit and nothing in the world could stop me from that! Daas did eventually get Amrit the other day :l: But daas never wear a keski after Amrit because of my moorakhta, and also because my family might not be comfortable. But did Ardaas for it every single day to be blessed with Keski. When Guru Sahib does Kirpa, we just dont get to know whats happening. Things just happen on it's own. Guru ji made me meet extremely high Gursikhs and we did naam simran together. After the 3rd meeting with them, Guru Sahib did so much Kirpa and blessed me with courage that I came home wearing Keski! Yes some negetive things did happen at home, but you know what, they didnt effect me because my Guru Sahib was always with me whenever anyone said anything. Now, everything is cool at home. JUST TAKE AMRIT, YOUR FAMILY WILL EVENTUALLY ACCEPT YOU! Its important that you take Amrit even if your family dislikes because - when you die, your family isnt going to be there when you have to be called for account, our True Father - Guru Gobind Singh ji's Hukam is wayyy more important than what our family says! So just do ardaas and just take Amrit in next Amrit Sanchar. Guru ji will handle rest. And wearing a bigger Kirpaan in important! Talk to your principle!

Well then do Ardaas to Guru Sahib ji! He will make you meet the sangat!

May Waheguru ji help your mom and your family. Guru Sahib is always with all of us at every moment. Sangat is doing Ardaas, but you and especially your mom should do even more Naam Simran, Ardaas and Paath! A really big thing you can do for your mom is sit with her and do these things so that her soul gets nourishment. I know a family with a similar condition who did non-stop Naam Simran for several months in the hospital. That is very very beneficial! And a REALLY important thing! Please ask Guru Sahib ji to give her Amrit very soon! This is so important it makes so much difference. May Guru Sahib have Kirpa on your family! Waheguru!

Waheguru ji, This can be true for alot of them, but not all. Sometimes such thoughts do come into my mind, but then I think maybe it's their age right now. Age could be a big thing too. But you know not everyone is like that. I know lots of SERIOUS Gursikhs who do not watch TV, listen to music, have no manmukh friends and absolutely love Guru Sahib and Sangat! Honestly, there are alot of Gursikhs who are not like that. Do Ardaas to Guru Sahib ji so that you can find those ones. Even if such things exist, why dont you just focus on the positives . Forget the things they do that arent really Gurmat and be inspired with how much Kamaai they do so that you motivate yourself more and more. That is more beneficial isnt it?

I will ask for forgiveness in the very beginning, but I am not sure if you had real Guru Sahib's Darshan or just imagination. Because you are in full control and can do anything you want in such dreams, its just possible that maybe you imagined that it's God, or maybe it is indeed Guru Sahib. So if you are a Gursikh and have so much Kirpa of Guru Sahib, so maybe you did have darshan!!! :biggrin2: But if you say you only have darshan in lucid dreams, then there must be something else going on. I am happy for you if you are the luck one !

Waheguru ji, the murda hair that comes out after u comb your hair is what I was meant by it. Because we are supposed to do upmost satkaar of hair, we dont throw them in garbage. We are suppose to do an ardaas and do sanskaar - with fire. Guru Sahib made kes in such way that if u cut it, it comes back,if you throw them in water, still they will be in perfect form, if they remain for years, nothing will happen to them. So it's better to do sanskaar with fire in such way. Many people say do jal parvaah - flow them away with water, but still they will remain in the ocean. There is a story about a Gursikh who used to collect any small hair he sees on the ground and put it in his pocket, for satkaar.

Waheguru ji ka khalsaa Waheguru ji ki Fateh! 1) Can anybody explain what does the khanda - double edge sword in the middle represent? I read somewhere that it was about birth and death. 2) How can we do sanskaar of hair in western countries? I keep saving them rather than throwing. 3) How should I wash Sarabh Loh utensils? I also really wanted to understand the whole Sarabh loh maryaada if that is available anywhere. I come from a family where food is not made by true Gursikhs or in Sarabh Loh utensils. So will it still be possible for me to keep the full maryada? 4) I heard many Gursikhs say that we should wear kesri rang underneath the dastaar. And the Kachera we should wear has to be white. I was wondering what is the significance of this? 5) Many Gursikhs say we should not let people touch our feet because we can loose Kirpa. But why is it related to feet?
