[The Singhs would] consume MARIJUANA, OPIUM, ALCOHOL and KEBAB's to their hearts delight. ਖੇਲੈ ਨਿੱਤ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਬਨਨ ਮੈਂ ਮਾਰਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਬਹੁ ਖਾਵੈਂ । They would constantly be engaged hunting in the forest, consuming and killing many deer. ਘੋੜਨ ਪਰ ਅਸਵਾਰ ਹੋਇ ਕਰਿ ਸਜ ਕੈ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਰੇ । Riding atop horses, [the Singhs] adorn themselves fully with weapons. ਭਾਂਤਿ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕੀ ਪਹਿਨ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾਂ ਕਰੈ ਕੁਵੈਦ ਅਪਾਰੇ । In many different ways [they] adorn the dress [of a warrior], and engage in endless military exercises. Naveen Panth Prakash, Poorabaradh Bisraam 62, verse 91. "The Sikhs are not restricted in the matter of EATING OR DRINKING. When Partap Mall Giani saw a Hindu boy who had a mind to embrace Islam, he said, 'Why do you become a Muhammadan? If you have an inclination to eat everything, you may become a Sikh of the Guru and EAT WHATEVER YOU LIKE." Dabostan e mazahib, Mohsin Fani Banda wished to make Sikh abandon their blue dress, to refrain from DRINKING AND EATING FLESH' Sketch Of The Sikhs, by J.C. Malcolm, 1812, P. 83 'He was not in accord with the Khalsa. Without the Gurus approval he started his own sect. He did not take baptism of the dagger. He did not adopt the Sikh way of life. He did not EAT MEAT AND DRINK WINE' Santokh Singh in Suraj Granth Also, bhai Vir Singh had replaced the word Sura(alcohol) with Suda (Ambrosia/Khalsa initiation) while editing Pracheen Panth Prakhash Sikhs of Hazoor Sahib consume meat and alcohol(all are amritdhari), they do not believe in Singh Sabha movement's version of Sikhism

Sikh Man Builds Mosque For Muslims In Punjab
Malkeetv replied to shastarSingh's topic in WHAT'S HAPPENING?
it was a very nice gesture. This shows that the Khalsa is above narrow religious veiws. I dont see anything wrong in that, didn't our Gurus make mosques and temples? Having said that, I strongly belive that the evengelism and dawah preachers should be banned in Punjab -

Is This Translation Correct? Please Explain Why/why Not?
Malkeetv replied to Malkeetv's topic in GURBANI | SAKHIAN | HISTORY
This is really amazing. Just Google 'marine bacteria inside deep sea rocks' and get your brains blown away. Thank you guys for clarifying it for me. -
I've found one mistranslation in it. I'm not in support of translating Gurbani on the basis of Science because science keeps on changing. First, there was Copernicus/Galilean science, then Newtonian science, then came theory of relativity and now we have quantum mechanics, string theory etc.

The below mentioned links says that Sikhs under Hari Singh Nalwa were defeated. It also claims that Sikhs had an army of more than 80,000 and that this was the only time that Sikhs faced proper Army from Kabul. Is that true? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Jamrud www.khyber.org/history/a/battle_of_jamrud_1837.shtml

Reincarnation And The Population Problem
Malkeetv replied to Malkeetv's topic in GURBANI | SAKHIAN | HISTORY
are there no mathematicians and logicians amongst Sikhs who can actually refute Stephan Blake's claims in his own language??? -
Sri Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Sri Waheguru ji ki fateh I recently came across a website promoting Stephen Blake's book in which he has refuted reincarnation by using mathematics and logic. Another problem highlighted by him is that if the souls are reincarnating, how come there is an increase in population (where are the new souls coming from) Since Gurbani supports reincarnation, Muslim websites are using this book against Sikhi. Does any one has mathematical and logical rebuttals against this book?

U.s. Admin Suppressed News Of Mass Grave Of Sikhs In Haryana
Malkeetv replied to Malkeetv's topic in POLITICS | LIFESTYLE
as the news says it was in 2011. So whoever the president was then. www.sunday-guardian.com/news/isi-plans-to-use-us-un-to-tar-modi -
Wjkk Wjkf This week's The Sunday Guardian reported - 'Another source from the same location claimed that "a mass grave relating to the Khalistan insurgency, which obtained more than 50 bodies had been discovered in 2011 in Haryana" but that "the U.S. administration had ensured that this be suppressed, as it didn't want to enbarrass the Congress Party" The source that they are referring to is 'a key official in Geneva' Do you guys see that U.S. is more interested in trade relation with India rather than providing the Sikhs with Justice.

Nirgun-Sargun And The Classical Logic
Malkeetv replied to Malkeetv's topic in GURBANI | SAKHIAN | HISTORY
I think barindersingh is right. God is not bounded by any law so he should not be gauged in a classical logic frame of reference God can't be described by our senses and is beyond our imagination. Also, the law of non-contradiction may be true in this plane of existence but it might not be applicable in some other plane of existence. One could say the law of non- contradiction is only valid in the world of observables ( the world in which we interact ) . -
sri Waheguru ji ka Khalsa sri Waheguru ji ki fateh I recently came upon a da'wah-to-sikhs website which i found to be quit anti-gurmat (obviously). The nirgun-sargun concept of God has been tremendously attacked by them stating that it is contradictory, paradoxical and irrational. There main point of argument is that God can't be nirgun and sargun simulteneously as it is a contradiction to a basic law of classical logic i.e. law of non-contradiction. I too am confused over it. Can you please tell me how can we explain the concept of nirgun-sargun to them (that they don't want to understand is a different thing) but for my personel spiritual growth can you please explain it to me how the nirgun-sargun concept works
