  1. After a recent visit to india i found very few amritdharis who returned a fateh and the very few who did cut it short or just nodded their heads, i had always heard the sikhi was in decline in the punjab but now i am convinced, even family members who did no nitnem and when i questioned them they lied and said they had, and singhs in Gurdwaras asking for money like beggar. its seem people have lost all respect and fear of Guru ji.

It's been steadily going down hill since the beginning of Nineties sangat will sit like gungey while kirtan darbar is on , I remember being stared at a circus freak for singing along with the kirtan. It's kind of we 're here entertain us ...bus . what happened to 'gavehiya suniya man rakheiya bhao' 'kalyug meh kirtan pardaan'? People are just so ignorant... such a shame

  2. Veerji our canines are not carnivorous canines - they are to bite into hard furits like apples .... if they were like a dog or cheetah, try jumping on the backside of a cow and rip pingher hood with your 'canines' ....(make a youtube video for the sangat if you can ) ....

Meat if only form of cruelty bhaji .... there is the whole dairy thing which also causes tremenedous suffering - In north america and europe dairy cows are never given a break , they are milked even when pregnant , they are given hormones to increase output (like oxytocin), they are kept in very small spaces , the male calves are separated from mother at birth for produciton of veal ...finally when they are spent which is only about 5 years of life they are sent to the butcher

It's not just that they don't get khurak so they made severely anaemic pumped with antibiotics to grow faster ...I don't think they wait five years anymore more like two ...BIng kaasaian da saana... bechare ...taraas bahut aunda soch ke ...mere Munde kehnde 'main joonaa ch nahin pena Maa ...kini varee aukhi ton aukha moth naseeb hoga'

  3. I gave up meat after watching Daljeet's presentation, but i eat stuff with egg in it, i.e. bakery stuff. Will give up that as well with time. :@ @

    veer ji

how's about learning to make eggless cakes and stuff ...recipes batherey hage net utthe...bahut hi sauki gal aa... you'd be skipping out on all those trans fats and other nasty preservatives

  4. these people have left Islam without a death penalty. You know some Muslims have also became Christians and Atheists right?

    Veer ji ,

some may have converted to other faiths but that has not been in a country where Sharia law is in force , for example recently a Bibi Miriam was about to be given lashes for adultery then hung for apostasy and adultery in Sudan, despite being brought up by her christian Mother into Christian faith and marrying a Christian Man . In Sharia a Muslim man can marry with a woman from any of the semetic faiths but the children will be automatically considered Muslim. DUe to international pressure she was released but has now fled Sudan and is in Italy with her family.

  5. My bad. I didn't know you were a doctor.

Funny you should say that ..

my point is langar di rehit maryada is not respected by this family, they and their stooges often send out for food from outside sources (restaurants) and have it brought into the offices of Harmandir Sahib this has been documented by various sources . If they are so scared of the langar and pani being tampered with what does that say about their attitudes to the sewaks in pangat kitchen ? or even about themselves if they were innnocents they should have no fears whatsoever. Anyway Waheguru ji di lahti bahut sakt aa I'm sure their days are numbered

  6. Why muslims r so firm in their belief system?

you can easily join their faith , just say you believe in Mohammed and that he is the true prophet of Allah and then eat Halal meat.... however you can never get out or change you mind as that is death sentence literally...so what you perceive as belief is a mirage a lot of people say they are muslims but don't agree or practice on a daily basis ...

It is an incomplete faith as it fails to recognise both sexes as equally valid receivers of God's blessings and promotes the subjugation of females, child marriage to elderly men, slavery, warfare, killing people of they do not submit to islam. It fails to submit to God's will in terms allowing for other faiths to exist.

  7. I guess it's different for different people. Some foreigners can drink the water there no problem...but for others it may not be an option. Like I said...some people may not have the immune system for it, especially if they have health problems which could lead to serious consequences for them. All I'm saying is, we shouldn't judge without fully knowing the whole story.

What if instead of water, someone has a serious allergy to a certain food, and they were being served the food in langar. Should this person just eat the food anyways because it's langar, or should they have the option to say no without being judged by everyone?

The woman was born and grew up in Punjab I'm sure her immune system is just tickety boo ...stop making excuses fact is gurudwara sahib water is filtered any way

  8. A lot of Sikh parents rather then take accountability and say their child messed up will rather play victim and blame the friends

To many Sikhs play the victim card rather then take accountability for different situations in their life

sikhi teaches people to be mentally strong but so many Sikhs choose to be mentally weak

their are Sikhs who play the victim card and choose to be a product of their environment

their are Sikhs who are mentally strong and are accountable and have their environment be a by product of them

    sikhi teaches accountability

Punjabi culture teaches to feel like a victim

    for example Punjab drug problem

I believe drugs should be legal and a citizen has the right to choose what they want to do with their bodies

cause drugs are available does not mean everyone is just going to start doing drugs

alcohol is available on street corners in the west yet many Sikhs Mormons and others still don't drink cause they choose not to drink

if heroin became legal would you run out and by and inject heroin

If some Sikhs started being accountable they would wake up and realise that this anti Sikh pro Punjabi culture of spoiling boys and neglecting girls is a root cause to so many problems

In Punjab ppl are driven more by Punjabi culture which is ego materialism and status over sikhi teachings of building strong character integrity and morals

which leads to many Punjabis saying hey my son doesn't have to work look at me im so rich my son doesn't need to work I got him a bike and throw weddings they can't afford and drive themselves into debt to boost their ego and higher biharis to work rather then let their children work to boost their ego

most spoiled children with no responsibilities do screw up their lives

In a democracy its up to the people to make it work otherwise they shall lose it like Thomas Jefferson said

Sikhs vote in corrupt po0liticians so Sikhs shouldn't be playing the victim card when it comes to corrupt govts like badal

in a free market system its up to individuals to create businesses and jobs

Punjab is the largest consumer state in india driven by materialism an ego yet fall behind when it comes to starting businesses and producing productws out side of farming

also Punjab was the richest state in india for so many decades while other states struggled with massive poverty

In other states like Gujarat the youth are getting educated and starting businesses and creating jobs and growing the economy

while in Punjab Sikhs play victim spoil their kids an blame others for their spoiled childs drug addiction an failure in school

green revolution made Punjab the richest state in india and now Punjab is falling behind as poorer states catch up and are starting to surpass punjab

while Punjab is becoming drug addicted

There is a chronic lack of reinvestment of govt taxes back into Punjab although it is the most highly taxed state in India at the moment it stands at 1 percent reinvestment so we make the money we pay the taxes as we are good sikhs and follow Guru's bachan and the law of the land, yet all the money is being haemorrhaged to the centre. The educational institutes/schools are being shut down and also not being supported well enough in the past decade over 800 schools have closed yet govt liquor shops are springing up like weeds everywhere. The reality is even if you get educated are there similar opportunities for Punjabi youths as there are for Gujaratis etc.?

We cannot set a price for our grain or crops as that is fixed by central govt so again market value is not trickling down to those who spend their lives in the fields of Punjab, but fills out the profit margin for the govt.

  9. they never stopped slavery, that's what's known as the white slave trade also the way they treat economical migrants is no different see qatar for latest scandals, I do feel USA has an agenda as Africa is the great un tapped in terms of resources ...amazing that all the current storm of events are centered on countries with mineral, gem, oil resources ...

when did I say they are decent? but yeah, as the days go by, the evil acts they are doing are just getting more and more shocking, they are implementing 1400 year old laws in today's society. For the first time in centuries, people in the middle east have begun to be crucified, and I will not be surprised if they restart slavery. America is making a huge mistake by not doing anything. They need to send an army there and finish these terrorists to the last man.

  10. That's disturbing. Atleast POWs should not be killed. They have no sense of humanity in them. Even though war is a barbaric thing to do but even in war there are rules one should follow. Killing of POWs is completely wrong as it violates all sense of decency. As if that's not enough they are destroying religious shrines of saints and prophets all over their territory.

what makes you think they are decent? 1500 women and girls have been kidnapped and sold into slavery by these turds , last week a girl called her father to say her last goodbye as she had been sold for 10 dollars.that story has been repeated many times allover iraq...they are intent on using koran warfare rules to carry out these atrocities.

  11. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

Seriously, Britain needs to sort it out. Listen carefully about what some of the BRITISH youth are saying.

"Oh, let's just establish the Caliphate, expand its borders, implement Sharia across the world to all, Muslim or non-Muslim".

Vah - Aurangzeb Di Aulad Hajae Vi Jinda England Vich.

why are you surprised ? they are the aulad of those who submitted to the Moghul throne and submitted to conversion so the weight of that knowledge makes them want to convert everyone ....

  12. At 1699 when the Panj Pyare were formed the first names were not changed, why was this ?

I used to go College with a Gurjati kid called Himmat and there was Gujrati girl called Dya

What bout the famous Baba Ram Singh freedom fighter, Ram is heavily associated with Hindu relgion ? So is Hari but we have Hari Singh Nawla

Ive never seen Sikhs with south Indian names but Northen ones cross reference.

Is there rule on this ?

Bhai Himmat Rai gave his sees and became Bhai Himmat Singh ji....the order in which the panj piare gave sees and their names are not coincidental they have deep meaning for our panth and what stages a sikh passes through when he/she gives their all to Guru ji. Hari is a name of Akal Purakh also is part of our gurmantar same with Ram this is not Ram Chandar but the one who is rameya in His creation Akal Purakh again in fact Ram chander is named after the same Akal Purakh. If you put Kaur or Singh always with the first name like the Americans sometimes put first and second together to make a compound name like Mary-Louise or Jim-Bob when you refer to the child everyone will get the habit too .

  13. With my boys I left their kesh loose until I could put into a ponytail then after they got a bit longer, which became a mini juda at the back until it was long enough i.e. so I didn't need to do a midi to make a top juda (that is so harsh pulling on their back hair section) . Buy the best quality organic raw coconut oil or top quality cold pressed olive oil if allergic to nuts don't use baby oil as it is mineral oil it will prevent the scalp and hair to operate natural fnctions and it causes itching. new oils i have tried Argan oil which is very light, good herbal action on hair making stronger and also smells beautiful expensive ?yes worth it? yes for Guru's kes only the best... tiana brand raw coconut oil with natural rose oil added is also brill but the boys teenagers feel it's a bit girly :biggrin2: ...little Isher Kaur Singhni in training loves both

  14. Veerji, usually in such relationships one partner always tends to have a "heavier" personality if I may say. Its easy to say everything is equal but reality is different. Lets presume a Sikh man ends up marrying say a Catholic bibi. You and I will very much expect him to bring her to Sikhi. Now what if the reverse happens? What if her personality is "heavier" than his, and she has an impact on him causing him to quit being a Sikh? Unless and until he is a committed GurSikh (in which case he would have married a committed GurSikh Bibi), you have a 50-50 chance of her coming into Sikhi or him becoming a Christian. Thus the practice of a Sikh marrying only a Sikh, via arranged/love marriage. The worst part comes for the kids who don't know what to follow. Its easy to say "I will let my kids choose their path", but when the time comes, lol, trust me, most of us would think again :)

Just my 2 cents, and please correct me wherever I might be wrong.

    Guess Veer ji ,

I must have a superheavyweight personality ...ohne sharab, maas, macchi, ainde chadde, kesh te dhardi rakhia te Gurudwara janda, bacche nu GurSIkh baneia... :blink2:

  15. I pledge I am not going to see any BOLLYWOOD MOVIE from NOW ON including on TV media, which means i will cancel my Asia Package shortly and revert back to Basic Sky Package.

I stopped watching Bollywood stuff in 84... What I can't understand is why not approach outside countries and release the films there first then it will be harder to ban film in India because the cat is already out of the bag plus if we subtitle them then the wider world can understand the narrative behind our suffering as many have just been fed Govt propaganda.

  16. Not using their real last name SINGH and Kaur and only using their backward, tribal names

makes them mistaken for another religion.

Maybe I wasn't clear about etiquette of Sikh names ...the name always has Kaur and Singh when you call that person ..so Instead of calling my kids just Jaspreet, Dayal, Bahadur and Isher I always say Jaspreet Singh, Dayal SIngh, Bahadur SIngh and Isher Kaur . BTW if you have twins like I had Dayal Singh and Bahadur SIngh you can chose to take one letter and name both from that letter or as we did we took the first two word letters of the Guruvak. My Husband Named Bahadur Singh after Guru Teg Bahadur ji ...that was the affect of the story of Guru Sahib Shaheedi on him despite coming from a different background .

when we read a Sikh name it is understood as ' Singh or Kaur belonging to/ of ...or having the attribute of (First Name)'

The last step I forgot to mention was once you have settled on a choice , take your child/children to Darbar and announce the child's name so that Sangat can share in this happiness and do Jaikara.

Please do not cut the child's kesh it is not our place to deny that jeevan the chance to present themselves for amrit with their original God given roop. Our Children are NOT ours, they are a special sewa assigned to us by Akal Purakh we have to show them the world and how to stay out of maya as much as possible and to join them with Waheguru's charan by doing naam abihaas and sewa, simran.Sorry got a little serious there but it is a deeply felt sentiment.

  17. Of course please take Guruvak for the starting letter first...

if you have names based on attributes of akal purakh you cannot go wrong ...e.g Dayal Singh, Manmohan Kaur, or have dharmic meaning e.g. Ajit Singh, Akaljyot Kaur

I would make sure not to give 'Christian' or 'European name or the current fashionable 'modern' Indian names e.g. Luke Singh, Karen Kaur ,Kamal Singh, Jasmine Kaur truth is the people who want mispronounce to irritate will do so no matter what name you pick so be a Sikh who is proud of his/her roots and pick a Sikh name and teach everyone the correct pronounciation

It will be good if you encourage proper etiquette of sikh names that you use full name not cut down versions or nicknames e.g Pinky, Rinku ... etc , that way the child will feel happy with his or her name

    good luck with the naming
