  1. Guys,

what is the problem with talking to apni bibian abot sikhi and getting them online with Guru ji so there is an enrichment of the whole kaum instead of playing what if games ? Most bibis are thirsty for Sikhi but have been put off by their relatives and friends ...if she feels supported in her Sikhi you will be amazed just how wonderful life will be for both of you

  2. This kind of arguement is the type we should stay away from.

We are bigger than this. You want to debate rs, then thats great but do it based on theology, not political mudslinging.

Remember that it has abeen an integral feature of Sikh debates to use this, and that "... Singh is a sarkari banda/rss banda" etc. The same was levelled at Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale wasn't it?

Do we have any conclusive proof that rs does that? They preach their own path, which they believe is right as mand5 has written. We make ourselves look a little paranoid and amateurish when debating on "govt agents" basis.

I asked my RS relatives one question based on scriptural evidence, they had no answer and shut up. Debate over. But I can't force them to abandon life-long held beliefs can I?

What we need to do, is to fund active parchar with postive methods to ensure that more SIkhs do not abandon sikhi and embrace rs/christianity,

Point is mr Mand5 is proud of the perceived non-failure of his faith but it has been documented that they (the people at the top) have done repugnant things such as diverting river water and denying existing settlements of their right to clean fresh water ...and this is not considered illegal ? obviously if my pind decided to do the same for our gurudwara we would be rounded up and disappeared so the conclusion is they have carte blanche from govt and police whether we like it or not.

They do not have their own scriptures they have hijacked Guru ji to dupe the seekers of truth in fact they don't even know what they believe...and their leadership lineage is already split and disputed within their own ranks, they are NOT sikhs as they do not accept the writings of all Ten Gurus,Bhai Gurdas ji or any of our itihas. They are not to be trusted due to the cultish mentality,my Masi is also in their thrall she has swallowed their line of needing a human guru to explain the scriptures...it is so sad .

  3. to be honest ive read everyone's comments and thank you for all the hate comments as the gurus would be so proud.

and to me the sikh bible is merely just a book or call an a to z guide to get back home, ive not once been disrespectful towards the sikh path nor would i ever as i too

am sikh. ive been following the sikh path since 12 and now im 33 and yes i think i do know what im talking about some of yous say ive disrespected the sikh pathbut read your own comments and see how you too have disrespected the rs path, beleave it or not i went to one of your sikh schools guru gobind khalsa college in chigwell and boy that was an eye opener to the bad thing sant baba amar das ji the fonder of this school now they took 1000s of sikh people and the early years that school was run hardly anyone got a good education explain that to me cos i too can go on n on about how they got it wrong plus they had the sikh bible in school and they were carrying on like that, now how bad is that, you call your sikh bible your 11guru lol its not me whos brainwashed mate,

you people have not studied the sikh bible properly yourselfs, ive been on the rs path for over 15 years n now i was given the gift of life the five holy names(naam) best thing ive ever done in mylife no way ever do i beleave ive been brainwashed, you people wanna disrespect me go for it for i wont disrespect back merely just give you a few home truths,

for one if the rs path was fake and present and past living masters(teachers) were fake too then one why is it that its run and more successful then the sikh path why hasnt it floped like other paths have?

and some of you people have been so rude towards the rs path how on earth can you call yourselfs sikhs when all your 10 not 11 gurus would be so so disappointed,

and this is where we get it all wrong that we think this earth is our true home when all the 10 gurus message was to show us the way bak Home not do what sikhs have been doing is making a foundation on earth all your answers are in the sikh bible but all you guys do is sit there infront of the bible lishening but yet not understanding one thing at all, you got the cheek to say im brainwashed when its your people who have changed the sikh teachings and brainwashed you lot, look deeper in the bible and you will clearly see that it says you need to seek a living master or teacher and one who has the five not 4 not 3 but five holy names now if that is what is writen why are sikhs not folloring that well cos for one thered be no need for temples because the true kindom of heaven is within each and everyone of us, the same message is in every bible out in all paths i call it paths cos thats what they were ment for but people take over and turn it into a religion only to control people, never has the masters of the rs path say that they are god nor did the 10 gurus say they were gods they were messagers from god just like the rs masters and if any of you lot wanna take this further then talk to baba ji himself and you will get the answers, n not im not trying to compare not murge the to paths together and baba ji doesnt just talk about sikhs so get over yourselfs they talk about all paths, why have i come on here thats right to defend my master cos none of yous have the right to disrespect like that and im quite sick n tired of all the stupid comment you people right, and you sikhs have over the years lishen carefully to what the rs masters satsangs and copied yourselfs and then made out we already knew this what a lot of nonsence, i too could go on n on n on like ariston.

the rs path has been going on for over 150 years whys hasnt it flopped if its fake and why havnt the sikh comumity taken him out like the other if you sikhs are so aginst the rs path then bloody do sumthing about it rather then chatting actions are alot more effective or are you sikh warriors scared.

well its true you lot are just full of words but no actions cos the way you lot say that rs path has copied n taken so much from sikh path how can you lot just sit there and do nothing,

im not gonna leave anymore comments here as its a waste of efford where i could be useing my time to better use.

and as for you paneer monster you havnt a clue go back to baba ji and ask questions on wat ive spoken about and plus you need to shutup with your fake arss comments thinking you know what your talking about you havnt a clue mate, not a clue so if you think im not going to insult you ur wrong with the stuff you have put on here ur a <banned word filter activated> with a capital D

how you think you know what your talking about makes me laugh you need to just jog on mate, and take your fake arss comments with you dont you ever disrespect my master like that oh and you want my number you mug jog on think before you speak ahhhh how sweet you wanna help me n ma family from getting brainwashed loooooool dont make me laugh mate.

and this is to all the sikh people the bible was created for mandkind not for sikhs alone and if you lot wanna point the finger at rs path and other paths first point at yourselfs, dont jugde others when you are not perfect cos if one was perfect he wouldnt be here he would be at home with the lord

    ENJOY :biggrin2: :biggrin2: :biggrin2: :biggrin2: :biggrin2:

    MAND5 OVER AND OUT

    PEACE

    1. There is 1 Guru because there is 1 jot (light) not 11 Gurus as all are the same Jot which is Akal Purakh.

    2. Our path has been FOR EVER as it is the path that all enlightened beings have taken throughout the ages.

    3. Your Manmade religion hasn't flopped because it has and does serve the needs of government agencies and Hindu extremists to muddy the waters for honest Godfearing Sikhs so it has been supported by money and protection from those quarters.

    4. I know about GGSK college and I'm sorry your folks didn't have the sense to move you out of there like I moved my son out , it was not a suitable environment for anyone wanting to be faithful to sikhi and keep gurroop.

    5. if you believe that school was a good example to base your views of sikhi on , I'm sorry but you were misled

    6. You have no hope because Your GURU can't save you and help you to get home to God ... I'm sorry for you, but have the feeling you came here to stir up bad feeling and are enjoying it

    7. Our beej mantar WAHEGURU is a mahamantar as it contains the essence of all four mantars of the four yugs of man.... you have not spoken of your mantars so I cannot engage with that conversation but it seems strange you don't want to share your wonderful path

  4. Unfortunately, it is people like yourself that add a lot of fuel to a very small fire. The activities that you say Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji would not approve of, many practising Sikhs engage in. It is people like you, the fundamentalists, the literalists, that take a guru-Ji's words and twist them to create disharmony and inequality. The war that you are creating, will not last, for love is a lot stronger than religion and love will create peace. You'd be better off asking my wife if she feels restricted. For you to place a judgement on something that you prove to have no understanding of, is simply ridiculous, ergo your argument is void.

It's people like you that chase power for their religion. What you fail to understand is religion was formed to oppose power. Whether you be a Sikh, whether you be a Hindu, whether you be a Christian or whether you be a Muslim, it doesn't matter. When the love to power is overcome by the power to love, only then will peace be created.

    look veer ji ,

It is not my say so but the true exercise of my religion that says so ..your wife is not amritdhari so maybe she doesn't do things in a sikh way but a mixed way but the truth is you really got the wrong end of this and blew up ... I am happy being Sikh and you Hindu ...I don't stop you doing your thing but don't preach to me about seeking power whatever ...you don't know Sikhi and you don't show me you accept it in your wife ...but never mind be happy confusing yourself by believing your are a accepting person..

  5. Fair enough, I can understand why there is a commotion when a Muslim weds a Sikh, be it boy or a girl. It appears that, even in Britain, these things are an issue- ironically more of an issue than in Punjab. However, why there should be an issue when a Hindu marries a Sikh, or even when a Non practising Sikh is prepared to adopt the name Singh/Kaur is beyond me. You lot have all quoted chunks from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib- now quote the section that says "God is ONE". You talk about the concept of "brotherhood", yet what about man living together. I understand, people are religious, I myself am a practising Hindu, and I married the most amazing Sikh girl. We fell in love and our parents had no problems with things. Some problems occurred when we tried to get married.. We worked through them. She sacrificed her dreams and had a Hindu ceremony. None of this actually matters. We are happily married and if you came to our house- you would see our holy area; a picture of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji residing alongside pictures of some of the Hindu Gods. Ironically, it appears you "brothers" would have a problem with this- but tell me one thing- if Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji himself came and blessed my house- would he have a problem residing alongside the Hindu Gods?

she sacrificed her dreams ? how is that even equality then ...maybe you pray to a number of Gods via pictures but SIkhs do not , it seems you have converted her to your way of doing things and I'm guessing if and when the Kids come along you would have real objections if they rejected your path and chose to become Amritdhari Singhs or Singhnian.

Guru Nanak Dev ji rejected outright the premises of the caste system and all rituals of hinduism including tirath, fasts, ganga bathing, rakshabandan, sindoor, charva chauth , murti or tasveer puja, hom /havan, pati parmeshwar even pheri around agni for marriage so how you are managing with a straight face to claim that there is equipoise in the religious situation in your home is strange to me.

Sikhs are not meant to do the activities I have listed and I feel that your family and yourself would expect your wife to do some if not all of these things...so no Guru Nanak Dev ji would not be happy about her being constricted this way.

  6. Please dont listen to thakur singh, he is full of stories that put the writers of spiderman and transformers to shame.

What is gained by repeating ccc the same paath over n over. Nothing at all. Sleeping on kandey and torturing your body is also against The central sikh dogma.

This central sikh philosophical dogma can be found in japji sahib.

If bhindranwaaley had spent his whole day reciting paath he wouldnt have gotten very far. Bhindranwaaley lived paath he didnt just read it, he put it to action every waking hour which is the best way to honor gurbaani.

next you'll be saying Naam jaapan di ki lodh aa ...jeh tuvnho kuch nahin patte dooje nu mat tokho. maha paap hunda kisse nu Waheguru nalon tordan maha pun hunda kisse nu Waheguru naal jordan.

Sant ji di upma jeh koe kare ja karena chounda it is understandable oh keh crore-an pattaran vichon ik heera see

  7. Sorry to say, but Dal Khalsa has acted cowardly and went(without any invitation) to their Masjid and gave them sweets during Eid to show them that the aggression their community showed the small Sikh minority in Saharanpur does not matter to them because Dal Khalsa wants their friendship more than anything.

Here is the link to the sharmnaak act of Dal khalsa, http://www.sikh24.com/2014/07/30/sikhs-visit-jama-masjid-in-amritsar-to-greet-muslims-on-eid/#.U9z48PldXwh

And it's not surprising that Dal Khalsa has done something so cowardly, from where will they get Bir Rass when they have disowned such magnificent Bir Rassi Bani of Dasam Guru Jee.

What Sikhs need is Ajnala Singhs and other Rehitvaan Sikh organisation to spread their Taksals all over UP, MP, Delhi, Rajasthan to increase religiosity among Sikhs because a religiously observant Sikh nation is a strong one.

Sorry by Dal Khalsa I actually meant Nihangs from Tarna Dal and Buddha Dal 5th Takht in reality ... I don't recognise how the name associated with one has been stolen by choli chuks

  8. We should organize Dasam Granth akhand paath in Saharanpur to give our Sikhs more bir ras and after that weapons should be distributed among sangat .

weapons without training are as good as nothing in the least or can be turned on the unskilled holder at the worst. I think hand to hand drills and martial arts training should be a part of every Gurdwara. But knowing these SGPC giddars they would probably put there big noses in and get our Bhai beta arrested or attacked to keep us down . Time to call in Dal Khalsa to train the youths and men .

  9. no disrespect to any old saakhis. i have heard a lot from grand parents and parents.

kids need a "balanced story". they will ask questions and please don't repeat made up things. things get exaggerated with every story teller adding his own punch lines.

Our Gurus showed us the path to the Supreme power. they never claimed that they are God themselves. They were true social reformers. They certainly had powers which are beyond any scientific explanation. Even in today's world there are people with "divine" powers but they don't come to the limelight. Our fought hard against oppression and other problems in the society and never showed "chamatkar" for their advantage. Every area in punjab have there own versions of stories involving our gurus.

I think when telling an old saakhi you should also give information about the other available versions or beliefs/disbelief's associated with it for the kids to make up their mind.

Sikhism is not based on mythology. We have hard concrete history. Don't add superstitious things to it to make it look like Hindu Mythology.

Thing is a lot of our literature which is of highest quality is not being reproduced by OUR printing presses the congress/SAD controlled SGPC is directing what is or is not being released to us the SIkh community ...we need to reprint all the old pothis and granths and disseminate them after our Gursikh bretheren have seen if it is intact and in keeping with seena baseena knowledge of Buddha dal and Tarna Dal .

Guru Nanak Dev ji lived a grihst jeevan although he was away for long periods he still made sure his family was cared for . As did all of the Gurus who were of age , there are no tales of deception of wives or abandonment as there are in Hindu epics . Those who didn't wish the Gurus well are noted as part of our history and their motives are spoken of . When I tell my kids the saakhis they are allowed to ask anything they like and I will answer them as best as I can in the truth

e.g. Did Guru Nanak's family miss him?

...sure just you would miss your Mum or Dad but they knew he was doing something important so they were understanding. It must have been hard but they had their Mum and Grandparents around to help them.

Mum I feel like getting a kirpan and killing all the muslims for hurting and killing the chotte Sahibzahidey !

Betay(twins 6yrs) we fight Evil people as Sikhs not religions, those muslim people at that time were Evil who did this and now they are gone, but your job is to be good and strong believe in Sikhi and fight against evil no matter where it comes from.

Mum do you believe miracles can happen?

well Gurbani says we all have God inside us ...when we follow Gurbani and live truthfully slowly we become closer to our true selves and when that happens we see small glimpses of Guru ji's power in and around us but we are not meant to get distracted by it because we really want to be totally with Waheguru so we don't have to go through so many lifetimes away from him ...we can go home finally.

  10. So you want the person to travel 2 states across to go to university, That's what if he only got accepted to that one university.

`My point was why not support the schools and colleges which are definitely pro- us instead feeding these kind of places who eat our money then deny us at the last minute on flimsy excuses. At least I know that if I did support apne schools that would open up more places for other Sikh children too ... why not have sikh unis in every state , and what's to say we can't have the best schools it's about the staff and their calibre. There is a brain drain from Punjab and the Government keeps shutting down schools and colleges there for our youth why not try to do something about it instead of running away from 'the sinking ship'

  11. Honestly Bj Veer ji,

you confuse me often as to what your need is ... is it to disprove everybody else's sharda and bhavna towards sikhi however naively it may have started or expressed or you just like posting things to make yourself happy you started a controversy...

The veer may have learned something in his youth which he is now repeating , so advise him what the truth is ...instead of this

  12. This is a huge mistake our people have done for the last century. Our people have been trying to make friends with others but in the wrong way by downgrading Sikhi by saying(Lying actually) that "all religions are equal", "the Bhagats were hindu or muslim and not Sikhs". That's why we have plenty of misguided Sikhs doing pooja like Hindus or Namaz like Muslims and even opening their Gurdwaras up to them to perform their non Sikh practices. And still we have not gained their friendship by doing all of this

The biggest mistake our people are doing is by attacking Dasam Bani which over and over repeats the futility of the philosophies of Veds and Katebs and shows the uniqueness and superiority of Khalsa Dharm over all others. By denying Dasam Bani, Sikhs are losing their martial spirit and Anakhi nature

The attackers of Dasam Bani should be treated as agents of the enemy even if from within Sikh ranks , if Any Sikh scholar starts kintu prantu over Khalsa rehit, Amrit Shakna those can be labelled the same ..Sehajdhari Sikh di arth seega jehde dooje mazhab 'chon nikli te sikhi kabool kitta per hale sikh rehit seek reha han Khalsa nahin...hun ta eh misuse hoe reha hai ke koe mona, sharabi kababi apne ap nu sikh akk sakhda bina gurmat anusar jeevan chalounda ... ehde kartootan sadi kaum de naam gutter'ch rol ditte

  13. Who Needs Miracles?

    AJITPAL SINGH

As adults, we have the maturity and resources to educate ourselves about Sikhi and develop informed opinions based on our research.

    But what about our kids?

They are too young to do it themselves partially because their minds havent developed enough to absorb such complex concepts, and partially because they are distracted by myriad other things the world has to offer them. In such a situation, the onus is upon us to get them started on the right foot.

There are many ways to achieve this.

The oft used method is reading to them stories or sakhis from our Gurus lives - as these tend to hold their attention far better than long, abstruse lectures on gurbani or ritual recitation of paatths.

But in our zeal to encourage and inspire them, we sometimes tend to cross the line. We embellish the stories with elements of folklore and add our own little touches here and there. It is very important to pay due attention to the message being passed at such times.

In no time, our kids will grow up and start thinking about the examples we gave them. They will analyze and tear them apart based on principles of logic and rationale they would be fast developing. If some of our stories do not live up to their touchstone, they will be discarded and, worse still, they will completely sideline the countless others in the same vein.

The best way to avoid this, as well as ingrain the message in their young minds, is to focus on the moral of the story, rather than the dramatic elements.

For instance, we all know that Guru Nanak travelled all the way to Mecca during one of his Udasis to spread the true message of God. On one occasion, he was reprimanded by one of the qazis for pointing his feet towards the Kaaba. In response, th sleeping Guru requested the Qazi to move his feet so that they pointed in any direction where God wasnt present.

We all know the qazi couldnt do it. But is it really important to dwell on the fact- that the Kaaba actually moved each time to the direction his feet were moved?

Surely that is not the message Guru Nanak or the sakhi wished to convey. What is important, is the moral of the story - the qazi could not point the Gurus feet in any direction where God was absent, as He is omniscient.

If our child gets this message, our time was worth it.

Is it more important to stress on the milk and blood aspect of the story about Guru Nanaks audience with Bhai Laalo and Malik Bhaago? Or is it important to teach our kids that Guru Nanak chose to partake in the simple fare at an honest mans hut instead of the vast spread at a dishonest, rich mans palace.

Surely Guru Nanak did not intend to portray himself as a karaamati baba to his followers; even he would have wanted the actual message to be imbibed instead.

Did Guru Gobind Singh actually behead and bring back to life the Punj Pyarey on that glorious Vaisakhi day in 1699? Did he use the blood of a goat instead to fool the audience? Did he even use blood at all? I have seen many an adult belabour pointlessly about this for hours

But my question is - Does it really matter?

The fact is the Guru asked for the heads of his loyal followers and one by one, the Punj Pyarey came forward undeterred by the risk and danger. They were not scared even in the face of death. They did not care about their own lives, their families and other worldly attachments. When it came to answer the call of their Guru, they answered it in body and spirit. In doing so, they truly understood the message of Guru Nanak, centuries after it was uttered -

jau tau prem khelan ka chao / sir dhar tali gali mori aao

If you wish to play the game of love, come to me with your head on the palm of your hand.

Surely we couldnt have had a better start to the Khalsa. Surely thats the message to uphold in the face of worldly adversities. That is the message one should get from the incident, rather than arguing about the nitty-gritty of the actual goings on.

When mentioning these stories to your kids, which aspect of these do you think will stick with them as they grow up? The actual miracles within the story or the message they espouse?

Sikh history is replete with such incidents, each one giving us a lesson more valuable than the one before all we need is to pass this glorious history to our next generation by presenting it in the right context.

Where else can they learn selfless service to society as with Guru Harkishan; sacrificing your life for truth and justice as with Guru Tegh Bahadar; or the unparalleled valour as with Guru Hargobind? Where can they learn that even as kids be it Gobind Rai at the tender age of nine or, later, his younger sahibzaadey of an even more tender age you can be more enlightened than adults who are far older and more experienced than you?

Our kids might also be exposed to other religious texts as they grow up. They may encounter other myths and legends. They may encounter fantastical myths - including the Ramayan and the Mahabharat via television, books or the internet.

Do not discourage them to explore these. Rather, give them the gift of an analytical thought process - so they can sift through the dramatic elements, and ultimately absorb the core message, which is the same across all religions, for the most part.

With the changing times and circumstances, Sikhism (and other religions) will constantly face new questions and challenges. As our kids grow up in this new world, they will constantly face struggles of identity and existence.

During such times, only a deep understanding about ones beliefs, values and culture and the logic behind them will be able to hold their interest. And that realization will come, only if we openly discuss and debate on such matters with them and teach them to think for themselves.

Lest we bind them to rigid doctrines and risk losing them ..

You are just like the dumb RE teachers who preach sikhi to my kids and missionaries who come knocking who tell me kids your Guru killed goats in a tent .... you would have us diminish Sikhi by denying that Guru ji was capable to bring the dead to life , that he can create supermen from the downtrodden ....but that serves no-one. You and this author should abandon the idea that our children are downright dumb to not understand what the meaning is of what people say and do.

My children asked me deep questions about death when they were four (no one had died BTW) , they understood the compassion of eating vegetarian food as opposed to eating maas for pleasure without my telling them better than some grown ups I know. You forget they came into this world connected to Waheguru they are still connected until we break them from Akal Purakh's hukam and join them to maya. They know because I have told them the sakhis that Waheguru acted in each and every case that the Gurus are Waheguru ji messengers and show us how Waheguru ji wants us to act and be and this is important how much Waheguru loves us and wants to help us when we are troubled.

I have always told them Their true parent is Waheguru I'm just their carer here until they are old enough and they appreciate that , we have a different relationship and that allows them to talk about spiritual/ emotional stuff easier.

They know about other religions because we talk about it and they will come home and tell me when their teachers try to tell others Sikhi is a mixture religion or offshoot or even when they were told they were wrong for believing Guru Gobind Singh ji did take the heads of the panj pyarey it was all a trick . Rightly they defend their faith and we should not chicken out when challenged but stand up to this revisionist BS.

I personally believe their heads were taken in full view of sangat, and i believe GUru ji did bring them back otherwise people in the tens of thousands would not have been inspired to become Khalsa and the fact that there is Mughal spy's eye witness account of that day and he signs off saying he's going to take amrit too.

  14. Well in my opinion, being shastardhari involves knowing how to use the weapons efficienntly in battle, which only comes through immense training, rather than just wearing them.

For answering your question, yes, anyone can be shastarsdhari, anyone can carry them, but a gursikh takes it one step further. He/she is a sant-sipahi, with b ot miri and piri, not just the shastar.

Being AMritdhari will put your mind into an advantageous position as you will have mental discipline over your five chor which can tip you over in battle to being reckless and therefore dangerous to yourself . Being a shasterdhari surely means being the best warrior you can be ...and I believe that history has shown that having amrit is an definite plus.

  15. Still no Muslim organisation in India has come forward to condemn what happened to the Sikhs in Saharanpur.

Despite the aggression by the Poorbia Muslims, it is the Sikhs who are desperately making an effort to maintain friendship. Sorry to say but to me this looks more like a rape victim trying to reconcile with the rapist after the rape has occurred.

    http://www.sikh24.com/2014/07/30/sikhs-visit-jama-masjid-in-amritsar-to-greet-muslims-on-eid/#.U9n-A_ldXwg

Our people have lost all sense of Anakh, we no longer have the "Jabai Baan Lagiyo, Tabai Ros Jagiyo" mindset of Guru Gobind Singh Jee and instead we are adopting the "turn the other cheek" philosophy of Jesus.

Dashmesh Pita di bani lokan ne chadia es karke kamzori peh ge.British sanoo 'peaceful' label laa ke sikhan nu avdi itihass te asliat toun ko sau door kita . This suited them to make us easy to control ...now hindu sikh bhai bhai ....is pushing us towards being swallowed up by these hindustan for hindus types." wake up" is the battle cry now sadda koe nah beli ... sare sanoo katam karana chaunda han.

  16. Saranda and sarangi are played exactly the same, the difference being the shape of the bottom of the instrument, sarangi is rectangle, whereas saranda is round, which gives the two instruments different tones. otherwise the strings and their layout is exactly the same.

The higher notes on the saranda are also slighter more awkward for hand position because of the soundboard.

    Neither instruments have fretboards.

Then I guess the answer is even more simple ...yes :biggrin2:
