  1. courts had sided with sikhs and said they were entiled to stay there , but obviously these is prime retail/hotel  real estate so this is the real reason the govt wants to hand land they do not own over to their buddies for favours . Apney should build up the area, benefit from the locattion with investment from sangat  and ensure the land stays under sikhs land rights.

Red also makes some look darker

What is the real colour of brides in traditional/puratan Sikh wedding?

there isn't one unless you are talking khalsa bana colours , simple is the key

besides white is associated in Eastern culture with funerals , like black is for Christians that's why bride's families freak out if the bride wears black apne understand it as a napasand/protest colour

Yes, the shame and guilt for male victims is more pronounced, because of what you've said above; the idea that a male (even a male child!) should've "fought off" the sicko, and because he couldn't overpower him, the male is gay or he wanted it, or something equally as nonsensical. Just my theory, but there's probably an internationally huge mass of young male victims of abuse who keep it all to themselves out of sharam, which is arguably a contributor to the high male suicide rates and the rest of it.

but that same brush is used on female victims too so not really helpful to try and use that as a reasoning . What can be said is society has been sensitised to this problem and the wider world does give benefit of doubt to kids in such cases even if evidence is historical , you would have to be a mental patient to think a child can fight off a grown adult man in any case so if you ever hear someone spout such ish to victim blame tell them to sling their hook. This is the Punjabiyat BS culture speaking where a woman should put up with abuse for honours sake however Guru ji said that we should speak up against such oppression and that person is no sikh of his that does such things . Sikhs support the victims not blame them and no sikh should just blindly trust anyone except Guru ji as we do not know the internal lives of people .

Where were all the other Sikh organisations/Gurdwara committees? No where, worse than useless, they all knew. In fact, some were involved in the cover up. It took a bibi from Canada to bring this stuff to light.

Gurdev Nihang Nidar Singh Ji was one of the only people who stood squarely behind the victim in full support. And bhenji, I hope you're not implying that we should doubt the credibility of the accusations simply because Nidar Singh Ji is supporting and helping the victim (a task which no other Sikh organisation did)?

I'm not sure how much experience you've had with abuse of any kind, but that's not how it works, especially when it comes to grooming etc. The psychological abuse in some of these cases is tremendous!

No I doubt him because his widely publisised siding with RSS and accepting money from them and his willingness to train those who would have sikhi stamped out in India

Most people don't report sexual abuse. Look at how much historic grooming cases turned up when the lid was lifted slightly.

This reluctance is even more pronounced in conservative cultures when they can affect how victims are perceived and jeopardise marriage proposals.

For male accusers it's even more complicated, as plenty of males wouldn't show any empathy for them, seeing them as having put themselves in that position; even laughing at them. Blokes can be like that.

remember Harinder's accuser went to police so it is not that hard if that person is really determined to stop the perp.

  6. I'm sorry but I have doubts because nidar is involved as 'hero' accuser? and also if this happened in uk every kid is drummed into reporting such things to childline, police etc from age 6 onwards so  are these kids too stupid to avail themselves of legal and proper means of reporting . plenty girls seem able to report groomers without mummy daddy same should be true of all kids.

The Muslims started it by raping Burmese Buddhist women, just like they started it with us in the Rawalpindi massacre. They then cry when they get their backsides kicked in revenge.

The Muslims have such arrogance and bravado that they act like this when in a minority. You can only imagine what they're like as a majority. Even in our Punjab there are cases of love jihad.

the burmese are trying to create a buddhist rastra and so are using fascistic methods to achieve this . This excuse of raping women was used to raze muslim homes to the ground , setting them on fire and rape rohingya women and girls , cutting up of children, removal of foetuses from wombs of living women , kiling of elderly i.e. totally adharmic .

I am not claiming muslims are totally innocent no human group is, but the truth is very far from claimed reasons, similar to the 'muslim' threat to 1 billion hindus.

The Islamic State’s Afghanistan affiliate, dubbed Islamic State Khorasan or ISIS-K, has claimed responsibility for the killing of a well-known Sikh ‘hakeem’ in Pakistan’s restive northwestern city of Peshawar’Hakeem’ Sardar Satnam Singh (Khalsa), 45, was at his clinic on Thursday when unidentified gunmen barged into his cabin and opened fire at him, police said. The killers managed to escape from the crime scene.

Singh, who practised Unani medicine, received four bullets, died instantly, police said.

In a message posted on social media late on Thursday, the ISIS-K claimed the killing of Singh.

The ISIS-K, which has stepped up attacks in several Afghan cities since the Taliban seized power in Kabul on August 15, had also claimed the deadly suicide attack at Kabul airport on August 26 that killed nearly 170 Afghans and 13 US military personnel.

According to Punjab Police, Singh had arrived in Peshawar from Hassan Abdaal a day earlier.

Singh, a well-known figure in the Sikh community, was running his clinic ‘Dharmandar Pharmacy’ on Charsadda Road in Peshawar. He had been living in the city for the past 20 years.

Singh is survived by his wife, three daughters and two sons.

About 15,000 Sikhs live in Peshawar, mostly in the Jogan Shah neighborhood of the provincial capital. Most of the Sikh community members in Peshawar are involved in business, while some also run pharmacies.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan strongly condemned the killing of Singh and directed the police to take immediate steps to arrest the killers.

In 2018, Charanjit Singh, a prominent Sikh community member, was killed by unknown men in Peshawar. Similarly, news channel anchor Ravinder Singh was killed in 2020 in the city. In 2016, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s National Assembly member Soren Singh was killed in Peshawar.

According to the 2017 census, Hindus constitute the largest religious minority in Pakistan. Christians make up the second largest religious minority. The Ahmadis, Sikhs and Parsis are also among the notable religious minorities in Pakistan.

Sikh population is not rising considering it is guru's birth place, their sacrifice and one of the major dharam who disavow the inequalities - be it caste, gender, color/creed etc etc

the population of sikhs is rising but you have factor in the ones that mature and go abroad , besides they hide us all the time by lumping us in with buddhists and jains , same trick employed in all other countries which is disgusting considering we number more than the jewish population worldwide.

my take is' hum do humare do' istotally irrelevant for sikhs as we are barely replacing numbers and is it not our responsibility to counter balance the adharmi lok and increase the number of good people going into the future of the world ?

Talking to my Mum and Masi ji about numbers of siblings in previous generations it was only two generations back that people were having kids in averages of 7

    myself - 4: 3 boys 1 girl

    mother - 4:  2boys 2 girls

    nani - 7: 5 boys 2 girls

    dadi - 5: 4 boys 1 girl

    pad nani - 6 4 boys 2 girls

    sard nani - 10 : 9 boys 1girl

This false dialogue that sikhs are less fertile , is bogus they are simply being 'good little citizens' and stopping at one or two .

So you don't think they throw packets over the border then?

not in the amounts they want to claim , the bulk comes via sea direct from afghan via Iranian waters  to Gujarat. Think about it the border has areas loaded with landmines in between fields and the actual border points are doubly manned in Punjab its a lot harder to sneak large shipments like three metric tonnes  at a time
