  1. As does every Pakistani because Jammu and Kashmir was 77 % Muslim majority state. Nehru already had plans for Kashmir that is why he used his influence on Mountbatten to get Gurdaspur which was a Muslim majority district and India's only link with Kashmir.Even in notional division which was created to decide the future of Punjab,Gurdaspur was placed in Western block. And according to Christopher Snedden an Australian author of book "Kashmir-Untold Story" invasion of tribal people happened only due to reports of muslim massacre in Jammu. In Jammu, Muslim villages were burnt and thousands of Muslims have taken refuge near Sialkot. Mirpur Muslims have already rebelled against Maharaja.Christopher Snedden also wrote that it makes sense for India to blame everything on tribal afghans but pakistan has also acquiesced to this Indian narrative which states that trouble started with pathan invasion which is not true. Long before any pathan invasion,Muslims have rebelled against Hindu rule.It was an indigenous movement. And the 95 thousand sq km territory of Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir which we control today was not liberated by Pathans or Pakistan army. These ares were liberated by local people themselves.Pak army was involved at a later stage when Indian army started crushing mutiny in Kashmir.
  2. Yes in rural areas,Urban areas have already adopted Urdu. Now even in rural areas people are adopting Urdu.Punjabi is considered a language of Pendus. If you visit any school, college or university you will hardly find any one speaking Punjabi. It does not mean that students or teachers do not know Punjabi. They are afraid that if they spoke punjabi, they would have bad impression.
  3. But I can easily have a conversation with an Indian Punjabi without any difficulty and also I can completely understand any Indian Punjabi movies. So I would say language has not changed so much.
  4. In our side punjabi language's fate is sealed.People are ashamed to speak Punjabi due to fear of being judged as pendu.Sadly there is no future for punjabi in pakistan. I don't remember when was the last time a book in punjabi was published in Punjab.
  5. Then they should have asked for only giving official status to Punjabi. There was no need for reorganization East Punjab as it was already a Punjabi province.Everyone knew that demand for Punjabi suba means a sikh majority state. As memory of 1947 parition was fresh so Sikh leadership did not openly use religion card but their aim was clear ; creation of sikh majority state. And Sikh majority can only be established if Hindu majority districts were separated from East Punjab.
  6. If all the people living in East Punjab were Punjabi and can speak and understand Punjabi then what was the need to create another Punjabi Suba ?? As it was already a punjabi suba ? Why sikh demanded Punjabi suba then ? Does not make sense
  7. here is kullu song and i can't understand a single word apart from this line "Duniya Hundi Buri,Dhoka na khaana' and i am born Punjabi and lived my entire life in rural Punjab. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z-bEkgw4TE By going your loose definition of Punjabi many districts in Azad Kashmir and Occupied Jammu n Kashmir can be classified as Punjabi.Una was part of Hoshiarpur district so i can't tell about it how it ended up In himachal ,may be because of its hindu majority. But that is entirely another debate i.e Hindus declaring their languages as Hindi instead of Punjabi in order to stop the division of punjab perhaps they were afraid of another bloody partition. So due to Hindu declaring their languages as Hindi some overwhelmingly punjabi speaking areas ended up in haryana. And about other cities you have mentioned i can't verify their language status as i don't have first hand knowledge of these cities. But still the fact remains that there were districts which were not punjabi speaking but only for administrative purpose attached to Punjab after 1857 war.And it makes no sense in keeping these non punjabi areas as part of punjab.Anyways if these cities are in Haryana and HP that means they are Hindu majority. And if they were to include in Punjab it would have reduced sikh's status as majority.
  8. BS .This is propaganda. We have some writers on our side who said the same thing about Sikhs that they want to make a separate country of their Sikhistan and they would conquer Lahore and Nankana Sahib like old days. There were some incidents reported where sikh jathas from East Punjab attacked border villages in West Punjab side as boundaries were not that clear. And there was hardly any pak military on border. There were reports that Sikhs with the help of Sikh princely states want to recapture West Punjab.
  9. And neither should you.May be you NRI Sikhs know about that bur i doubt if majority of Indian Sikhs know about that.
  10. because it is politically incorrect to say anything which is remotely anti Hindu. It always amazes when i see some people here who remember mughal atrocities (which should be remembered as mughals committed horrible atrocities on sikhs,no denying that) while ignoring the role of some hindu who betrayed sikh gurus i.e Lahore's finance minister chandoo shah who very pissed when Guru Arjan Devji refused to wed his son to his daughter. And from that moment he made his mission to take revenge of this humiliation from Guru.I don't advocate that all hindus should be held accountable for this. But I do say that we should not cherry pick history.Speak truth always
  11. This was due to his bad experience with Mughals. But I don't believe in generalizing people by the actions of few.I know some people who, when asked to prove their innocence by swearing on Quran they refused to do so even though they were right. Here in Punjab ,people don't swear on quran even if they are right.I have known such people. They fear that we will receive divine retribution for involving Quran in their petty worldly disputes. This is one view and on the other hand i have heard about people taking false oath on Quran. So when your guru says not to trust people who takes oath on his scripture,he is saying this because of his own bad experience with Mughals. This is his own opinion and not eternal truth. Though it is binding on his followers. Indeed there was golden age of Islam when science flourished in Islamic lands whereas Europe was still a feudal society. But those Muslim scientists were secular and liberal and some of them even criticized Muhammad and claimed that there is no such thing as angles and life after death.Jews fleeing Europe found refuge in Muslim World.Such were those days. And now a days we can't even tolerate a muslim of different sect let alone giving refuge to a non Muslim. Back on bootlicking i think anyone looking at british history of India can see that every community in Punjab served british but if u don't want to accept it it is upto you. I think this discussion has diverted a lot.PLz stick to the topic.
  12. Haryana and Himchal are not Punjabi speaking areas. Districts of Gurgaon,Rohtak and Hissar were not part of punjab. These district were added to Punjab after 1857 war of Independence. Himachal and Haryana people have weird accent, dialect (more closer to hindi) and they can't be classified as Punjabi. And without carving out haryna and himachal from East Punjab there would have been no Sikh majority.
  13. OKay.What you would have done differently if you were the leader of sikhs in 1940s ? Sikh leadership did not have many options because Sikhs were scattered all over Punjab. The only district where sikh were single largest group was Ludhiana where they formed about 41.7% of population. In the rest of 29 districts in Punjab Sikhs were either second biggest or 3rd biggest religious group. And the only princely state where they formed majority was Faridkot 57.7 % .So tell me while keeping in mind this demographic situation; what would have done differently ?
  14. You forgot to add sikhray in your list of bootlickers. Sikhs were as much bootlickers of Britishers as any other community in Punjab this is evident from the fact the Sikh were disproportionately represented in British Indian army and fought their wars.Today's Sikh often keep harping on this fact that how they fought for british and in return britishers did nothing for them. Even those soldier who shot at unarmed people in Jallianwala Bagh included Sikh soldiers along with Baloch,Gurkha and pathan soldiers. When it comes to boot licking every community is in the same boat.
  15. This is pretty harsh word to use for him.Your leadership did not have many options at that moment.Siding with India was best available option back then.Loss of innocent lives is no doubt a tragedy but partition was the only way and Sikhs benefited from it to a great deal. Imagine if there was no partition there would have been no Sikh majority Punjab today. You should also keep in mind that it was because of partition that for the first in the 500 years history of Sikhs that there is a state with Sikh majority. And master Tara Singh played a huge role in securing that state as it is evident from his interview with journalist Paul R Brass; "1967, however, Master Tara Singh, whom I interviewed then and who was the principal political leader of the Sikh community 20 years earlier, said to me in words I have never forgotten: “We took the decision to turn the Muslims out.” By this, he meant the decision to attack violently the Muslim population in East Punjab to force them to migrate west so that the entire Sikh population in West Punjab would be able to migrate east to replace them and take their lands and property in exchange for what they would lose in the west"
  16. What dafu* is wrong with UK why they are tolerating such people ? they have got enough weaponry to raze down the entire areas controlled by ISIL. these nutjobs understand the language of force only.
  17. as i said earlier believe what you want if it gives you some sort of comfort.I'm not interested in right wing white gourps don't give a damn .I'm interested in sikh peolpe that's why i'm here. and the thing u said about sikhs forum the very fact i'm here denies you claim that i'm some kinds hardcore muslim .i would not be here then okay. And there are plenty of sikhs on islamic forum too.So no need to cry.
  18. And who brainwashed those thousands of Hindus who don't believe in God yet are proud Hindus ??? And who brainwashed Khushwant Singh ?
  19. listen bro I got no time to listen their filth. It makes my blood boil that these guys are completely out of their minds. They are holding us back by constantly focusing on past glories rather than planing about future.I wanna see Muslim countries progress like the model of Israel and West I often tell other muslims online that look at Jews they have one the strictest religious rules and look at where they stand now it is just ludicrous to live your lives according to rules made fourteen hundred years ago. These rules worked fine in those times we need to change otherwise we will keep getting humiliated.
  20. Okay if i a person said he is not into religion yet he defends his faith ? Does people like you would stop criticizing his faith ? nope not a chance.I wrote what i feel.I don't mind if you kill isil or any radical islamists and neither i would defend their 7th century rules but what I have problem is when people judge all muslims by the actions of few. However if you stil wanna believe that i'm doing taqiya that's upto you.If that helps you sleep good at night then so be it. But I will say one thing basically i never said i'm ex muslim. Get your facts right. And before you jump on this taqiya sh1t.Just google Atheist Hindus. You will find plenty and also google late Khushwant Singh. He was atheist and he did not believe in God yet he was proud of his culture and even if he did not believe in God it did not stop him from returning his award to Indian govt after anti sikh riots and govt's failure to protect Sikhs. When I stopped believing in God I used to ridicule Islam on Facebook and I would find many hindus would like my posts but as soon as I would post about their religion they would go all abusive. That is when I said to myself enough is enough if they can defend their religion even though many of them are atheist and did not believe in God why can't I ?
  21. Glad you clarified that see a lot of misunderstanding can be resolved through dialogue. We should avoid using unnecessary derogatory terms. And also labeling an entire population as extremists this ain't gonna help unwillingly that way you are only gonna push more people towards those radicals.Anyways it was talking to you.Good bye
