Many members complained that they are getting uninvited PM messages from one of our member (name/id disclosed). We apologize for his intrusion. Most likely the member is in probably under 15 yrs old, so we would like to request our members not to worry about his message. He couldn't debate properly with other members in the particular thread but he started whinning against the sewadars of the forum and started throwing bad names. Hope you guys understand.. May god bless you all ! --- Messages that sent out to members via PM --- vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! khalsay kay sikhan kee nindak jo nind karay jan boojh narak par aiso bataayo. guru sahib says anyone who does nindya of my khalsa will not be saved and will go straight to hell. ------------------------------------ ni(n)dhak ni(n)dhaa kar mal dhhovai ouhu malabhakh maaeiaadhhaaree || By slandering, the slanderer washes the filth off others; he is an eater of filth, and a worshipper of Maya. saint soldiers section...nihang thread. this thread has been up and running for several weeks now despite my pleas to the admin (through pm and different threads) to take it down. people have been slandering/putting down nihangs. in the tuk above, it is clear what happens to one who slanders the khalsa. and whether one may want to believe it or not, nihangs whether they do bhang/eat meat are part of the khalsa. none of us has the right to claim them to not be 'true khalsa'. i do not have the himmat to tell them day after day to do something about it. it has almost been a week of trying. they have moderated my posts (my posts must be approved b efore being allowed up) so they put up what they wish. admin has also quit replying to my pm. as a result of this i chose to come to the sangat to push them to stop the slandering of guru sahib dey singh. sangato, now it is up to you to do what you can to stop the slandering of your brothers/sisters. email them, pm them, write in threads, do what you must do, just please stop this. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!

That is very true!!! We hold a gurmat training institute, every friday for an hour or so, and the difference of age that shows up is amazing, you got kids as young as 9 years old, to parents over 40, and they all sit with such interest.. To add to this, we show movies of our history, how our guru sahibans sacrificed everything they had, show the warrior spirt, the martial art, and the entire magnificent Khalsa legacy. They are so astonished, and keep coming back for more, once the base is strong from them, they will keep it within them the rest of their lives.. We need to target the young generation from 8 to 20 year olds. And show them everything that we've preserved of our history, background, and virsa. My two cents.

vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Sadh Sangat Jee As you may have noticed, we are making an attempt to regularly change the banners. This is not only for visual enjoyment but also as a reminder of the times. as a memorial for Rena Kaur, Parminder Singh & Charnjit Singh as a memorial for 1984 families and victims as a celebration of Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji's gurpurab as a reminder of the 90th anniversary of the departure of the Kamagata Maru and other important events in Sikh present-day, future and past. These can be to increase awareness, to give honour or to entertain. Now we need your help Doesn't matter if you've never designed a thing in your life - or you are a great designer Copy the dimensions of the Sikhsangat banner (834 x 126 pixels), and create your own banners for important events. Make a banner for all and every important Sikh event - try to design banners for the less known events to create more awareness. Send them to publicrelations@waheguroo.com as an attachment It should be a JPG or PSD file. If you have the PSD (with all the layers) that is much better. If you send the JPG, send it as RGB. If you don't know what that is, don't worry about it. The examples are in front of you - check today's banner for inspiration -- and get designing! On the banner please don't include any additional phrases or text that is not absolutely necessary. We will add the Sikhsangat logo and the W!N logo. Thanks to all the sangat. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Saadh sangat jee, in the loving memory and rememberance of the three Chardikala GurSikhs Bhai Charanjeet Singh Ji, Bhai Parminder Singh Ji and Rena Kaur Bhenji who passed away in a car accident, we humbly request our forum members not to use this section for a while. We are proud of those amazing Gurmukhs and hope that everyone can follow their example, therefore we do not mourn their deaths as Sikhi believes in submitting before the Divine Will of Waheguru. Let us all introspect ourselves and our lives, and realize that life is too short. Let us all start reciting bani and start doing naam simran. With this in mind, we request the sangat to please not post any jokes or funny stuff for atleast some days. Thank you and your concern is appreciated

Rude Users Very Important - PLEASE READ Dear SikhSangat.com Members, The sole purpose/mission objective of SikhSangat.com is to keep a safe, educating environment for fellow Sikhs around the world, and as a communication base to inform each other of events occuring around the world. Recently the sewadars of this forum have noted that there is alot of hatred and tension among certain members. Alot of new discussion topics have crept up, which lead to arguements, instead of formal debates. Therefore considering the thread "Rude Users: Poll" http://forums.waheguroo.com/index.ppa?act=...=2&t=2079&hl=we have come to the following conclusion: As stated in the Rules & Regulations thread Two warnings will be given failure to comply with the warnings, a permanent BAN will be imposed if members fail to follow the guidelines. -A. Any member using profanity, or arguing to a very high level, on a pointless topic, will be discussed within the sewadars, and given 1 warning, and will be put on the 'WARNED' list. -B. If the same member repeats his/her use of tone, they will be given a FINAL warning. -C. If the same member is found using abusive language, debating with a pointless direction, or failing to comply with the previously given warnings, will be BANNED. They can plead their case to the ADMIN @ contact@sikhsangat.com. If that person tries to sign up with a different ID, we will sure to find that out and their I P will be banned. Finally, we all would like SikhSangat.com to be a happy, productive, and a place to gain knowledge about Sikhi, also about the world. SikhSangat.com TEAM

User Names Represent Yourself not others We encourage users not to have "taksal," "akj," "dodra," "SGPC," "nanaksar," or any other sangat / jatha / dera / group's name in their username. Unless you've been chosen by the khalsa sangat as a jathedar of the AKJ or Dodhra or any other sangat. If not then should stop acting as their spokesperson. For example :dodhrasangat4ever who has posted on a few occasions messages that are anti-gurmat and anti-panthic, and they are so insincere and obviously fabricated to defame and misrepresent Dodhra sangat that they are inexcusable. The reason we are going on and on about this is - that there Some immature people who are trying to mess with everybody's heads for no good reason by having usernames sounds like they represent particular jatha or organization while they are not and they did posted a few messages which are anti-gurmat and anti-panthic, and they are here only to defame and misrepresent the Jatha/organization name. So think twice before registering a username.

Guidelines SikhSangat.com & Waheguroo Network (We care for quality, not quantity) Topics that will not be allowed: Meat, Dasam Granth, Raag Mala and Keski as Kakar issues are not encouraged to discuss on sikhsangat.com. According to a Hukamnama passed by Sri Akal Takht, we do not encourage any discussions on the above mentioned 4 issues. You are requested to refrain from doing the same. -Revised 09/26/04 -1 Warnings Two warnings will be given, the third time a ban will be imposed if the member fails to follow the guidelines. Posting Emails, Phone Numbers, Personal pictures - Keep in mind that all private e-mail is considered to be copyrighted by the original author. If you post private e-mail to a public list or board, or forward it to an outside party in whole or in part, you must include the author's permission to post the material publicly. Not doing so can get you into some deep doo-doo legally or with your friends and associates. Think of it this way... how would you feel if a personal private e-mail that you had written for a specific purpose/person is then plastered across the Internet or forwarded to folks you do not know? Always ask for permission before forwarding or posting any private e-mails! - Respect the personal privacy of others by not sharing their pictures & emails unless you have their prior approval. Never give personal phone number/information in any post (excluding Sikh organizations). Posting Policies - While in an open (publ ic) forum, keep your remarks on a "PG" level. There could very well be young folks reading what you are writing. There is no way to know the age or maturity level of each person who is reading your written words. - If you are in a group or room which discusses a particular topic, be sure not to stray from that topic. Other members of the group or room are liable to be offended if you do. - Don't start a "flame war" - when an online discussion degenerates into a series of personal attacks against the debaters, rather than discussion of their positions. - Administrators and moderators of Sikhsangat.com do not have any enemies nor do we hold any grudges against any particular member or jatha. - Any kind of attack on any jatha will not be tolerated. - Namecalling or bad-mouthing any other Panthic Sikh website will not be tolerated. - NO personal fights or quarrels. - Serious Abuse of PM system will end up deleting of your ID. - Any direct attack or mockery on our Sikh gurus or Sikh warriors or on any mahan Sikh Personality (ex: Sant Jarnail Singh Bhinderanwale) will be automatically deleted by Moderators and Administrators, and a warning will also be issued. - Stereotyping of any culture, religion, race, or group of people is not allowed! - Posting the same topic numerous times even in separate categories is not allowed. Failing to comply with any of the above guidelines, a warning will be issued to a maximum of 2, even if the rules aren't followed, the member's posts will be moderated or banned depending on the circumstances. Post Editings You will notice <admin-profanity filter activated> in many posts.. What does that mean? It means that user used rude, offensive language and it automatically got censored by the forum program. Moderators and Admins can edit any post which goes against the Sikh Panth. Moderators/Admins may provide the reason of the editing at the end of th e each edited post. No new post, thread or reply will be deleted by the sewadars unless it totally goes against sikhi values. Advertisements We do not approve of any type of advertisements on sikhsangat.com regarding your homepage, business or anything which has nothing to do with sikhi discussion. Do not mentioned Anti-Sikh sites as the source material for anything. Sites like Shastarvidhya or Sarbloah by the nangs of UK are certainly not allowed! User IDS Multiple User IDs are not allowed. ID name which will not be allowed on sikhsangat.com forum: KillerKhalsa Ihate _____ Pakihater downtokhalistan Anti-(Any jatha name) afakjks (random letters or numbers)
