He is a dinosaur from an era that thinks slapping a woman's backside should be taken as a compliment... SMH

I thought we are sikhs and should listen to Guru ji

He said not hit, harass, or swear at a woman EVER ..if you seriously are that triggered by someone who is shorter, weaker and lighter than you i.e. Non competition what does that say about you as a person

Someone should remind them they're shorter, weaker, and lighter than the men they square up to.  ?

I think there's some validity in the bachchan of Sant Sean Connery Edinburgh Wale. Dhan Sant Ji! ?

How much money would it take to get all the remaining Sikhs out of Afghanistan?

If I had the money on that scale, that would be my first port of call. I'd relocate Afghani Sikhs but obviously not by force. They're welcome to stay in the land of their forebears if they so wish, but for those who aren't feeling it, I'd ship them out and help them set up somewhere where they can prosper.

Somebody truly sikh wouldn't want to see their brothers or sisters fall down the rabbit hole of addiction ...only scumbags misusing the title to cover their failings.

So-called true Sikhs have their own failings away from issues of self intoxication but that's a discussion for another day.

  4. Get some new friends. The guys laying the expectation on you to drink, because it's apparently what a real man does, don't gaf about you. They want to see you mess up your life. I'm going to say it: most Sikhs of any denomination are scummy people. They delight in seeing a good guy circling the gutter. You seem to have a semblance of a conscience hence the introspection. Scum don't self reflect, and remarkably they don't seem to be any worse off for it. It's just one of those crazy symptoms of this diseased world. You're on the edge of a precarious situation. You could either fall into the abyss and become a full-blown sharabi, or you could pull back now and no long-term harm done. The choice is firmly in your hands. The only thing holding you back is the psychological block that's been implanted in your mind about culture and the masculine image. Overcome that and you're golden. But allow it to overpower your faculties and you're done.

  5. It doesn't happen, usually, through theoretical means. Most of the time the process of mental strength is a result of a preceding period of trauma or adversity that leaves a mark on the individual. If one hasn't been completely defeated and bowed by those difficult experiences, a good place to begin the rebuilding process is a lot of honest and stark introspection. Don't fall into the obvious trap of externalising all your problems on a third party. Be ultra critical of yourself, and decide whether there was any deficiencies in your own character and conduct that may have contributed to your issues. If you can't be honest with yourself, life is virtually worthless on so many levels.

Manufacturing mental rigidity because you want to be safe and well-prepared is absolutely possible but doesn't quite have that same urgency and "sting" as someone who is forced to develop that inner strength and rigidity through necessity. Pain is a great motivator and teacher. Regardless, a good place to start is by assessing the 5 Thieves. Analyse how they affect you on a specific basis, and then proceed from there.

In terms of Sikhi, reciting certain Gurbani does grease the wheels as it were, but it needs to be utilised in tandem with other activities.

The entire Indian system is rotten , right from the housing societies to municipality to state governments to central government.

Funny thing is they dream of giving a bloody fist to china. Lmao

It's amazing, lol. I've noticed an emboldening of the Indian right to assert themselves and their Indian identity since Modi came to power. It's clear as day across social media based on my observations that this newfound spirit of pride originates from the social engineering being pushed in the Indian media. It's obvious rabble rousing that seems to have hoodwinked the lower middle classes, too, and not just the Hindu rural classes. These people genuinely do believe they're an integral part of a superpower in the ascendancy, and to a man they regurgitate the propaganda about the Google and Microsoft CEOs being of Indian origin. That's all they parrot when criticised, which leads me to believe the India media must be pushing these messages and narratives for a specific purpose, and the order to do so has originated from the top.

  7. I want to know how they managed to get the hook into the child's chest with such force that it snagged into his body allowing it to be retrieved. Was it dropped at such a speed and force that it penetrated the skin? The physics don't make sense.

Jahangir's explicit mention of Guru ji's shaheedi and his reasons for issuing the order (in his Persian memoirs) wasn't known until fairly recently - so it is no wonder that apnay might have amplified hearsay or other minor, associated contemporary events which became 'common knowledge'.

According to the one that issued the order for execution, it was his belief that Guru ji was false and his anger at Guru ji's popularity and the way hordes of people were converting to Sikhi (including muslims) - that made him issue the order.

I'll be honest, having grown up around the Gurughar / Katha / vichaar scene, I'd never heard of anyone professing the belief that Guru Sahib's shaheedi was solely or at least weighted in favour of it being viewed as a domestic issue. Maybe it's a desi Punjabi belief that's grown in prominence over the past few decades via theological meddling on the part of agitators, because I'm scratching my head wondering how this issue has come about.

See, i know its sounds bad but thats how i see it!  If people like her who are only causing confusion are filtered out then it's would be better.

What makes it worse is that she's a public figure and quite a big name in the Punjabi industry.

It's at moments like these that I wonder whether Muslims have the right idea when it comes to keeping their own in line, relatively speaking. There's little to no fear of the consequences of working against Sikh interests and the general good. Sure, I appreciate that faith and devotion can't be induced or forced, but the way things pan out for our community is just hilariously bad.

Told you those bandhar Singhs holding umbrellas over Ali as he performs one of his 5 a day would come to bite us in the chittar. Those kind of optics for a religion such as ours does untold damage on an international scale due to the reach of the internet. It perpetuates the idea that we're weak and pliable.

  10. Premier Gurmukh checking in! ?

Sounds like His Holiness is shilling hard for the prospective groom to receive immigration status via marriage. He's probably been paid by the guy's family to facilitate an overseas rishta and potential marriage. These kind of transactions aren't rare but are rarely acknowledged in the wider sangat. OP does seem like they're fan-girling over Baba Ji, and Baba Ji is well aware of this fact and is telling her exactly what she wants to hear.

    I'd be suspicious.

'Highestechelons of Sikh theocracy have been infiltrated by a certain group'

Are you implying Guru Granth Sahib Ji has been infiltrated? Because the governing body of Sikhs is Guru Granth Sahib Ji

How would that be literally possible?

I meant the Akal Takhat and the SGPC.
