  1. I think it is more complicated than that. Although I do get your point and people keeping nitnem and truly pursing union with Akal Purakh are awesome. But I think those that keep up practice more down to family habits/pressure and upbringing rather than internal, personal conviction are susceptible too. I don't even want to get into this in any detail. Experience has taught me that labeling or perceiving victims of grooming as coming from a particularly non-religious background is a fool's game, and one too many apnay like to play.
  2. You are right. A close female friend of mine told me about a couple of Pak girls who had been abused by someone in their family (that she had met in uni up north many years ago). The community hide it by quickly marrying them off to cousins. Being insular (inbred) like that has its advantages sometimes as people pull together to hide the so-called 'family shame'. What she told me was a bit weird because the girl first turned lesbian and then years later got religious and married some black Muslim guy who had a bunch of other wives?? Yes they are. Older guys often seem more mature and stable to them than the young immature boys around them. Plus most youngsters like to act and think of themselves as grown up when they are teenagers. And people develop crushes. I think it is some biological thing that is designed to keep the population up. You know, I got to say it, but I'm recalling my teenage days you know it was so easy to go gaga over someone you found attractive and lose your senses. When you feel attracted like that, all logic flies out of the window. It is genuinely like being on a powerful drug that totally alters how you see and feel things. And it does have a chemical basis with hormones like oxytocin getting to work. Big Tera is right - it is VERY easy for a man to potentially groom a naive young girl. I worked as a teacher with teenagers for a bit. I know how stupid they can be. Girls are very competitive with each other over guys. I think when they are young they like to test to see what kind of bloke they can attract (they might not even be doing this consciously). Couple this with some seedy older kaam filled bloke who detests the girls religious/racial roots. We know what happens. Another point. I dated a Greek girl for a short while years ago. She was a teacher too. She used to tell me that a few of her teenage Muslim students would get shocked when she told them about me being a Sikh. She told me that they said things like: "They bath in blood" "They like to kill Muslims" Generally that we are evil vicious people. So I'm thinking that a lot of sulliaan are conditioned from a young age to mistrust Sikhs (and others I imagine). But on the other hand we see plenty of daughters of white, black hating men go out and date and marry black men etc. etc. or apneean from staunchly anti-sullah families go off with paks. Just thinking out loud guys.
  3. I think we all know the true solution to the problem. AT least blokes do. But it has a really heavy price. It's simply hunting down the perpetrators and dealing violence to those who do this. Consistently. That's why these predators target us - they feel that no one will do anything of consequence in response. But we've become so successful as a community that streetwise, tough bundhay are increasingly hard to find. And it will mean prison time for a fair bunch of lads. It's sad but I don't think much else will work. We're in country that has harboured paedos/abusers amongst their highest ranks (i.e. government) and amongst prominent media figures. The police have consistently covered up the abuse of both white girls and apneean. I mean look at this: http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/police-knew-grooming-gangs-were-9518461 These people are simply not remotely afraid of us anymore and they've realised that the police are more likely to side with them than us.
  4. This fool tried to kill a Sikh in 'revenge' for Lee Rigby.... I just heard the brother who was attacked on the radio castigating the police and media for their hypocrisy, saying if this had been a non-white attacking a white it would have been represented as a 'terrorist attack'. Zack Davies, who screamed ‘white power’ as he attacked Dr Sarendev Bhambra. A loner fascinated with far-right ideologies and violent video games has been jailed for life after launching a racially motivated machete and hammer attack on a dentist of Asian origin. Zack Davies, who screamed “white power” as he attacked Dr Sarandev Bhambra in a supermarket, was told he would serve at least 14 years behind bars before being considered for parole. At the time of the attack, Davies claimed he was avenging the death of the soldier Lee Rigby, who was killed by Islamist extremists outside a barracks in south-east London. He also said the British Isis terrorist nicknamed Jihadi John was an inspiration for the attack, which left 24-year-old Bhambra with severe injuries to his head, back and hand. Davies, 26, from Mold in north Wales, was found guilty of attempting to murder Bhambra, who is still recovering from his injuries. Bhambra’s family has argued Davies had committed an act of terrorism. They said if the men’s ethnicities had been reversed the family had no doubt it would have been reported as an act of terror. Judge Rhys Rowlands said Davies had left his home that day intending to kill. He said: “Zack Davies, you subjected Dr Bhambra to a dreadful and sustained attack. Blows were aimed at his head. You were shouting ‘white power’. He desperately tried to get away from you. There were shoppers in the store, some with children. One can only imagine the sheer terror you subjected the victim to.” The jury at Mold crown court had heard how Davies would sit in his flat playing violent video games for six or seven hours a day. Expelled from school at 11 for bringing in a knife, Davies became a loner and admitted carrying a weapon with him every day since he was 15 because of his growing paranoia. On 14 January he spotted Bhambra on the street in Mold at lunchtime and followed him to a Tesco supermarket, where he attacked him from behind with a claw hammer and 30cm-long machete in front of shoppers and children. Bhambra was saved after a former soldier, Peter Fuller, stepped in to help. Davies told Fuller: “We are under attack” – but Fuller said what he was doing was madness and Bhambra had not done anything wrong. Davies admitted saying “white power” and “I did it for Lee Rigby” during and after the attack. He told the court: “I got very fascinated by Jihadi John and was inspired by him. I even had a mask.” He was described in court as a racist with a fascination for far-right ideologies. In interviews he told police that maybe the wrong side had won the second world war. The court heard items associated with white supremacy and Nazism were found at Davies’s home, including swastika badges and Combat 18 material. Davies apologised in court to the family of Lee Rigby and to Bhambra. The judge praised Fuller for his “remarkable bravery” and said he probably saved Bhambra’s life. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/sep/11/lee-rigby-revenge-attacker-zack-davies-jailed-for-life
  5. Do people feel that progress has been made? Are our people (especially young girls) a bit more clued up about this now? This isn't to try and put it all on the girls btw because there have been a fair few retarded apnay who've pretty much 'delivered' girls to their Pak friends. Especially in areas they dominate like East London. I know people have been trying to highlight this within the panth since the 80s. I saw a lot, especially in uni during the 90s. Is the message getting through? These days I see apneean in goray areas and it's weird how they like to throw the fact that they are creeping around in your face when you pass by. They look REALLY pleased with themselves, like they are winning! lol And jkv bhen ji, I've seen girls from quite religious backgrounds do this too. So it isn't always down to lack of upbringing or familiarity with the faith? Again I'm wondering, given decades of activity by groups like SP and now SAS as well as all the media coverage, are our people awake now or are they still walking around asleep?
  6. First thing, jkv and the other brother whose sister was targeted. My heart goes out to you. It is really heartening to see how you're dealing with this head on. We've been sweeping this issue under the rug for too long and this had made things even worse. I'd like to share some my own experiences (more like frustrations actually). People talked about groomers using flattery to entrap their victims. I've seen a fair few cases of this. But from my experience no talking to, or explaining patiently to a young girl ever seems to work (or it does but VERY rarely). I (and many people I know) have seen so many young Sikh girls actually getting off on the whole rebellious thing in this respect, that many people have given up on even trying to warn them. Even Singhs going to the family house and telling the parents hasn't worked. It appears as if the girl's mind is made up and nothing can change it. I would like to think that today, given all the media outpouring, maybe apneean would be a bit more careful, but then I find that so many Sikh girls are really gullible and naive that they continually fall for the same old strategies. It's like the girls can't see through the attention - and the efforts of other Sikhs to try and warn them becomes a part of the fun. I don't see this in other communities like I see it in ours, why?
