Ever since i was little I've always been scared of the dark and i still have to sleep with the light on cuz its scary and what  if a monster or ghost is going to get me so i have to keep a look out for them.

    What do i do?

Don't be scared of anything, when Maharaj is with you nothing evil can come anywhere near you. Before you sleep do Kirtan Sohila (or listen to it) and you won't feel scared.

Bhai Sahib, how can we say if someone is beautiful or not? Every woman (and man) is beautiful and we shouldn't look at beauty at face value. Look inside lol.

    ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਿਹ

    Thats a good point

    Looks are hollow

In punjab, When you see some guy with 12 inch long spikey hair sprayed gold, bright red t shirt, skin tight skinny jeans, khanda tattooed on his arm  with a stuck up  attitude, walking like no man like him has walked the earth,     you really do itch your and stare at him in absolute confusion.  Mind boggling

For those who tie the kenyan style turban, do you always iron your pagh after folding it, or do you just tie it after ironing ?  I have never really ever ironed it, I just tie it after folding it.  Have you ever done both ? Does it make a difference ?  Also I wonder, how long do you tie that pagh until you change it ?

I've watched my dad tie his pagh loads of times and he's never ironed it (he does starch it tho)

yeah i read that as well!  apparently banda singh bahadir started making his own laws and adopted the colour red.

if this is true then he moved away from guru jis path!   i have heard this stuff about him before but dont know how true it is

I've never actually heard that before.. Interesting lol

its odd how the traditional colour for punjabi brides is red, when were not actually supposed to wear that.

Yeah blue is way nicer lol

In tankhanama by bhai nand lal ji it says a gursikh should not wear red?  Why is this?   I read how red also symbolises evil thoughts and attachment and love for the world in gurbani.

So are we supposed to take this literally?

I think its because historically, Muslims/mughals adopted the colour green but the important colour for Hindu's is Red. I'm pretty sure the British wore red as well. However Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj selected the colour Blue. This had practical reasons too since in battle if a Singh was injured the blood would just look like sweat (Thats what I was told from a Katha) so therefore would be less targeted. I don't know much about this but this is just my guess.

How as Sikhs do we actually do it? Do we just make sure we break attachments to everyone? Still love them but understand everything around us going to die?

And has anyone on here accomplished this?

As humans it is near to impossible to break attachments with other people because if someone gives us happiness then we become attached to that person. When my nani passed away I was really upset (obviously) but then I realised that crying is not going to help her. So I did Bani for her. However, I only had one wish to go to her funeral since I never got to say goodbye or even see her before she passed away. But when I went to her funeral I was so glad and from that time since, I feel peaceful and my heart is at rest that now she is with Maharaj. Where we come from we have to go back. Now I live to make her proud of me and no matter what, she is still alive in my heart.

This is the game of life and death. One day it will be our turn and so its best we don't waste our time hurting other people, slandering, gossiping and doing the wrong things because life is really too short to be wasted on stupid petty things.

I'm sorry for all this Veerji hopefully I answered your question.
