  1. Simran(remembrance) is about feeling love for waheguru and it's when that love which when it overwhelms us we get kirpa(grace) and we make leaps in progress on the path to self-realization,to merge with the one. Love and sharda(faith) is the foundation of Sikhi and it's quality is what saves us.It's what puratan singhs and singhnia had so infinitely in abundance for which we remember them and their sacrifices that we lack so much, but what is this love? To help understand I read this beautiful chapter posted here: Note*-This is a small part of it I pasted here to hopefully encourage you to read it all. It is a matter of great happiness that those whose minds were besmeared with mud have washed that mud of their mind by coming here. It is a matter of great satisfaction that all the minds that are in the world would slowly and gradually henceforth emit some perfume after coming here. Think of it, my brothers and my mothers, whenever we go to the bazaar, in the fragrance of all those thoughts that come out of our minds and touching other persons. Hence convert your mind and your inner consciousness into a garden of flowers. Each thought of yours should be sweet-smelling like flowers. Or each thought should shine like a lighted lamp, so that not a trace of darkness will remain there. One the light should spread. The other name of this Light is God. Some rare person (prophet or saint) is born in this universe, who shows to the world the path to reach God, Who is Light. He shows them the Way. He catches us by the hand and directs us to move in that side. We try to free our hand (from that Sant’s grasp) pleading – I have got this work; I have got that work. He (the Sant) asserts – walk on; all your work will be done (by God). He gives us that blessing, but we do not accept that blessing (benediction). Then we revert to those worldly affairs and get engrossed in them. Different desires, different ambitions so influence our minds that we forget all about the Light that is God. Anyone who has washed off the mud that besmeared their body, who has washed the mud with clean water of peace – and who repeatedly sits performing the jaap, then he somewhat rises high. He sits on low stool and thinks that he has arrived at his goal. He feels a sense of pride. After feeling pride, he does not advance forward, he keeps sitting there. If we want to progress sitting on a low stool, we should think that a bed is higher than a stool, and a throne is highest of them all. One sitting on the bed tells the persons sitting on the low stool – why are you sitting that low; come up to the height of my bed. He says, I am quite satisfied with my low sitting. Slowly he degenerates. Sometime he tumbles over from his low stool and once again falls into that mud and is besmeared with it. His rises and falls again. Thus by degrees, he reaches the height of the bed. Then by chance, some saint or sage passes that way and see that this man has not achieved his destination; how shall I show him his goal? The saint, with great difficulties, with great love, makes him understand the true welfare, on account of the great pity that rises in the saint’s mind. He lifts the person, who was shedding tears, feeling miserable and uplifts him and puts him on that throne, which is named the Akal Takhat (Throne of God). When one is raised to that high state, there death cannot touch him, cannot come near him. People raise different questions (about this path), different religions and faiths provide different answers (to those spiritual questions). End of excerpt. Such is that love where light illuminates the mind, dispelling darkness, where you see that light inside when you close your eyes and it radiates on your face outside. How do we open the floodgates within ourselves to let such love flow,so that we may rise above suffering and ignorance? When I do simran, sometimes I feel like I am trying to force myself to pump out any love I have by remembering virtues and qualities of Waheguru and maintain that love and build it to a flooding level. It comes so slowly and goes away at the smallest hint of excitement or pride,or loss of focus for that matter. Then I remind myself that my love isn't strong enough and shouldn't be trying to force an experience by artificially "remembering" their praise. If it was strong enough,it would overflow without much effort naturally(i.e true remembrance). However,I get confused as it otherwise feels that I am just sitting and mindlessly chanting waheguru. Then I try to stop thinking all together and keep chanting until I feel that love again and then the cycle repeats where I get stuck trying to maximize that feeling of love. So my question is: how do you build that love when you do simran? Like what do you think about if anything?Do you visualize scenes from our history like trying to visually imagine the condition of the singhs with Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj when anandpur sahib was under siege and feel that pain yourself?Or do you read translations of bani (in gurmukhi or english) and contemplate on the meaning of bani?Do you read works of the like of Dr.Vir Singh to charge yourself before doing simran? How do you melt your heart? What are your experiences and what advice would you kindly share?
  2. I like listening to Jordan Peterson lectures on his channel and Ben Shaprio and at school for world history we study the most important things in the 20th century like the world wars,Stalin,Hitler,Mao,Castro etc, though it feels so watered down. They really don't like getting into the interesting stuff that gives insight into the the secrets of the inner circles these people had (although, there's a lot of base info required beforehand which they teach). For instance, Hitler had a book in his personal library tracking the location and size of the jewish population of cities across Canada and which media was in their favor. The full article:https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/canadas-archive-buys-1944-book-that-hints-at-nazi-plans-for-north-america That's not to mention all the unknown info the nazis hid or burned in the nazi book burnings or how hitler planned to drop helicopter cash all over britain to break their economy. Anyways,I was thinking of reading Geroge Orwell's work 1984 over summer,i'll start looking into Noam Chomsky and Jon Pilger in the meantime. I agree that Alex Jones has tidbits of truth here or there like with the dangers of a.i in the future,or the government trying to make half human/animal hybrids,or experimenting with electromagnetic waves and their effect on cognitive function, but like you mentioned,he's an entertainer;exaggeration and acting is key to selling his brand. What I like to think about is who's really running the world in the background.
  3. cbc posted a documentary of how the Canadian government ran mind control experiments and really how under the table this was, many losing their memory coming out broken if at all. This was in the 50's and 60's, so I wonder what goes on right now, and maybe what technology or info has been discovered and developed and in use right now. https://www.cbc.ca/fifth/episodes/2017-2018/brainwashed-the-secret-cia-experiments-in-canada
  4. I was listening to this podcast,a lot of interesting stuff to say in the least. What do you guys think about this guy?
  5. the lady in the second video ticks me off, she's making us sound like a demonic cult where we are backward savages, and the path to purity and order is christainity. These missionaries applied the same technique with aborignal natives where they were seen to be a filthy race and white "christainity" was seen as the medicine ...look where they are now. It's whitewashing all over again as with this person. I dont think the guy in the third video knows english well enough to quickly argue and counteract these missionaries.
  6. here are some videos,i think the orignal one op posted may have been this first one:
  7. I learned something interesting about this in religion at my Catholic highschool (I'm a sikh btw,not to be confused). So if I'm not mistaken,Christians believe that god will bring the kingdom of heaven down to earth, when Jesus is to return for the second coming, right?Well it's interesting because sikhi has a similar idea of khalsa raj, where we believe that the khalsa or the "pure" will rule the world after eliminating all tyrants and evil in the world.I always wonder how all religions and people will coexist when the time finally comes. However,to clarify our gurus won't "come back" per say, because they're already here in physical form and have been in physical form since 1469,the birth of our first guru. Our current guru, the guru granth sahib is eternal and a living embodiment of our 10 gurus. It's not really a holy scripture, but actually our living leader/guide in these dark times of ignorance and illusion. We don't accept that evil rules this world, but rather in this age of kaljjug, the forces of evil have a much stronger influence than other ages,in fact the strongest of them all.I think god has kind of taken a step back where he's letting all sorts of heavy sins run rampant without smiting the sinner on the spot, but the door to god remains open for those who seek it.Note-for us,god is omniscient and omnipresent,so it's not that God is separate from the sinner, but rather the sinner is unaware of his true self.So in this crazy world where everyone sins,a very few become one with god through intense devotion, and it is these self realized people in the form of god who ultimately rule the world in the background, not evil.God has the power to instantly merge everyone within himself and clean the world, but it's their play and they can do whatever. It's not really for us to understand why god doesn't simply merge us back with himself and end all suffering everywhere right now,nor is it our job to worry about how or when that will happen. It's hard enough as is to be free of evil and sin even with the company of others who hope to walk this path on forums like these ,so we should instead focus on walking on our paths. Another thing I thought about, imagine the happiness in the world where finally for christains after thousands of years of waiting and for us,hundreds of years of brutal torture and war,the day when this will finally happen.
  8. what would you ask from guru sahib if they asked you to ask for anything you want? Like if it was on the spot,if guru sahib or a sant mahapurkh for instance, what is the best and wisest to ask for?
  9. There's worlds beyond our worlds, worlds within ours, but now we're about to make a world within our world, which we fear might take over us and put us within their world. I'm talking about a.i and technology and all of the potential and danger it has. Then that got me thinking about whether humans might move to mars or different planets in different solar systems if a.i wipes out humanity. Then that got me thinking about traveling at the speed of light to explore the universe, which revealed by Einstein was impossible. Then I wondered about Einstein's last moment, how he must have went through death being recognized as the most intelligent human. I found this article, full thing is here :http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/einstein_symphony_prog_summary.shtml As Albert Einstein lay on his deathbed, he asked only for his glasses, his writing implements and his latest equations. He knew he was dying, yet he continued his work. In those final hours of his life, while fading in and out of consciousness, he was working on what he hoped would be his greatest work of all. It was a project of monumental complexity. It was a project that he hoped would unlock the mind of God. "I want to know God's thoughts" "I am not interested in this phenomenon or that phenomenon," Einstein had said earlier in his life. "I want to know God's thoughts – the rest are mere details." But as he lay there dying in Princeton Hospital he must have understood that these were secrets that God was clearly keen to hang on to. The greatest scientist of his age died knowing that he had become isolated from the scientific community; revered on the one hand, ridiculed for this quest on the other. On his death bed was frantically trying to find this last breakthrough of how everything is connected.Maybe he was nearing some secret so grand that Waheguru took his life before he could discover it,to keep it gupt. I think that had to do with explaining the observer effect and every other secret of how parmatma uses hukam and maybe how the laws of our world are shattered.I think he was on the verge of explaining everything which was unexplainable,in a way commonly understood and accepted by scientisits and most today. It was going to tie everything together. Basically part of his work was founding quantum physics and in this quantum physics there's this thing called the observer effect. the observer effect is the theory that simply observing a situation or phenomenon necessarily changes that phenomenon. An interesting video on this: it just got me thinking and reinforcing this idea that our "reality" is really just an illusion,a dream.Beyond this, I think getting rid of duality and ego, has to do with connecting to everything, where everything is just waves and energy.Maybe that's why Guru ji tells us to fall in love with them, to merge with them. Maybe that's the ultimate superpower, from which all other power can be derived. Maybe that's where braham gyan touches with, that understanding that Einstein sought? It's absolutely insane to think that for hundreds of years, our fundamental understanding of science from which we based all of today's technology doesn't include the possibilities that can come from udnerstanding the observer's effect.I think the cure to cancer and many of societies limitations and maybe even an academic level of scientific understanding of miracles or supernatural events/experiences is possible in the eyes of the world through understanding all this.I think maybe then, the world would come to realize that in Sikhi all of this is already there, especially even in the SGGS,as Bani is all knowledge and therefore a science as well which gives a rationale mechanism to understand everything. I know it's a whole bunch of in cohesive rambling, with grammatical errors for which I apologize, but what that's because I really don't know enough about any of this. I wanted to know what interpretations you had on any of this?
  10. is there any book that compiles the biographies and sakhis and experiences of modern day shaheed singhs when looking back from the 70's onwards?I think it's important we keep up with this itihaas. It's our history,a support for the panth.
  11. talks about eating meat, regardless of your views on that, there was a lot more found here: These guys lack any sort of sharda, they try to break it.Never practiced sikhi at heart, just using their phd's and education to misguide people.
  12. I think we should make prisoners do productive labour that makes profit so they\re not just sitting there and wasting tax payers money. This way we make money from prisoners.of course the work should be safe enough were security can easily control roudy situations and work that doesn't give them a lot of oppurtunity to escape. I was thinking maybe making the mine or chop trees,or even set up assembly lines for something. What do you guys think?
  13. I mean this should help if you have not already seen it. We have the answers, but we need to find and learn them.
  14. For example, children with their parents, how do you know it's moh or love.If a child is scolded, child starts crying is that moh? Is crying in general an expression of moh. Does being free from moh mean being a master of controlling your emotions.Controlling emotions when you feel happy, sad, angry being emotionally repressed like inputting commands into a computer? In essence does it mean to not be affected by emotions? Please explain.
  15. can sangat ji recommend what to read or listen for upcoming prakash purab. It might be a few months away, but preparation for such a huge upcoming jor mela will just increase sharda and kirpa when the time comes. From Bhai Vir Singh Ji I found Guru Nanak Chamatkar. Part 1- https://www.vidhia.com/Bhai Veer Singh Ji/Sri Guru Nanak Chamatkar (Part 1)_English-Bhai Vir Singh.pdf Part 2-https://www.vidhia.com/Bhai Veer Singh Ji/Guru Nanak Chamatkar (Part 2)-Bhai Vir Singh English.pdf There's also Gur Balam Sakhian here; https://www.vidhia.com/Bhai Veer Singh Ji/Gur Balam Sakhian (Guru Nanak Dev Ji)-Bhai Vir Singh English-children.pdf I love Bhai Vir Singh Ji's writing. It lowers the prabhav of kaljug in my opinion. It gets rid of that laziness and ignorance of the mind caused from not japping naam and evokes that deep love that puratan sikhs had for maharaj. As a result, one wakes up at amritwela with that love fresh in mind and if maharaj is happy then it means even more kirpa, and it's an upward slope from there. It's even written in English for blockheads like me. Extract from Gur Nanak Chamatkar part 1: Without the support of the Lord's name in the mind, heart and body everything else is a ritual of mistaken belief. The Lord's name is everything. The effect of this recitation, this loving recitation, this godly recitation is: That, the eyes become full of honey, then full of nectar, then there is so much nectar that even the eyelids become full of nectar, then with half closed nectar filled eyes, one pulls the pupils upwards in a reverse impulse. In this way, the nectar fined lotus eyes deviate and with deviation stop looking outwardly. These half closed eyes that were looking outwardly now see the inner centre of beauty and get focused on it so much that they see all ecstasy and unknowingly get immersed in the infinite sea of nectar and get lost in it. The nectar that goes into the deep inner self, does not let you know about time, and does not let you know where you were sitting and where you are now. It does not let you know what has happened. When you get immersed in the infinite sea of nectar, then you rise above time and space please share more to read or katha tracks to listen to
  16. http://sikhsangat.org/2014/shaheed-bhai-surinder-singh-ji-sodhi/ Bhai Surinder Singh Sodhi was the bravest of soldiers of Khalsa Panth in 20th century, forever ready to lay down his life for Panth, always tyar bar tyar to punish any Panth-dokhi, guru-nindak and carry out justice for Shaheed singhs who were killed in illegal police custody or encounters. Bhai sahib had darshan of Sant Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa in 1980. He was with Misal Shaheeda Tarna Dal, Harian wela then, doing sangat of Baba Nihal Singh ji. His close friend, Bhai Manbir Singh chaheru, had joined Taksal in 1980 and Sodhi had gone to Tarna Dal, but soon he joined ranks of Sant Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa and vowed to remain with him till his last breath. He was a Charhdi Kala Gursikh, jovial, helpful and always imbued in Naam Baani. He carried out ‘Chalisa’ in Parikarma of Sri Harimandir sahib and had an 8 hour long Nitnem. He went in Samadhi many times during those years, getting up after 3-4 days. A heavenly fragrance was always emanating from his body, as was the case with Sant ji too. Gursikhs who have been with him told me that he was the one loved most by Santji, for his Spiritual awastha, his dedication, his love. Every word of Santji was like God’s command for him. He had piercing eyes, capable of seeing inside the mind of next person. No traitor ever passed his glance. He was a Handsome Gursikh, and Santji called him ‘Babbu’ with love. Whole Jatha of Damdami Taksal loved him, respected him and listened to his orders. From 1980 to 14th april 1984, he remained a dedicated soldier of Khalsa Panth, punishing traitors of Khalsa Panth. Bhai Surinder Singh ji Sodhi, The Brave heart was once given a special message by Santji to be delivered to a Singh in a nearby village. But there was police cordon around Sri Amritsar and no one could pass without being checked. Sodhi took one of the most extraordinary routes to that village, he took his favourite ‘’Bullet’’ motorcycle on the railway tracks and drove it on tracks to reach that village. Villagers around Amritsar who had seen this feat still remember the day Sodhi did this, For Santji. He was the one who got inside Punjab legislative assembly and shot secretary of Punjab Government who had issued oppressive orders against Panthic Singhs. BJP MLA, Harbans laal Khanna, who had carried out a violent procession of Hindus in Amritsar, which broke Model of Sri Darbar sahib at Amritsar railway station, threw cigarettes in face of Guru Ram Daas ji’s photo and gave out slogans like ‘’ Kacchh Kara Kirpaan, ehnu bhejo Pakistan’’, Dukki tikki rehan nai deni, Sir te Pagri rehan nai deni’’, was punished by Bhai sahib ji in a week’s time, when he was sitting in his shop with his bodyguards. Other singh involved in this action was Bhai labh singh ji. List of Bhai sahib’s courageous acts is very long, and I’ll share with you all in due time. Bhai sahib ji was the most trusted soldier of Santji and never went against his orders. Enemy of Sikhs, Bhajan laal who had committed atrocities on Sikhs and got Sikhs killed in panipat was on the Hit-list of Singhs. Sodhi was sent for this mission by Santji, but on a condition. He was to shoot Bhajan laal ‘only’ if he could make it back to Santji. Sodhi, guised as a Navy officer, reached his office, sat with him and had tea. There were policemen and commandoes all around Bhajan laal. Sodhi called Santji and said it’s my last Fateh. I’m going to finish the Dusht but I’m not coming back. Santji ordered him that very moment to abort the mission and return, as he was needed. Sodhi had to return that day, and this showed how much Love and affection they both had for each other. Santji used to say ‘’ He is my son, not only in this life but from ages’’. Enemies within Sikhs, people like Longowal, Badal were working against Santji. They comspired to get Santji and Sodhi killed. Assassins were paid Rs.50 lakhs for killing Santji and 25 lakhs to kill Surinder Singh Sodhi. Government agencies wanted Sodhi out at any cost. They knew how much important he was for Sant Jarnail Singh ji, how he was his right-hand man, his trouble-shooter. They planned to handicap Santji by killing Sodhi. There was a big fear among agencies, as they knew that Surinder Singh sodhi was trained in Anti-tank mines and Anti-tank missiles. In case of an operation by the Army, he would have proved a big hurdle in getting to Santji and Akaal Takhat. So Longowal, his secretary Gurcharan, and Agencies of government paid 25 lakh rupees to a known smuggler Surinder Shinda and his keep baljit kaur. On 14th april 1984, Baljit called Sodhi to a tea shop near parikarma on pretext of sharing her problem with him, as she had convinced him that she looked upon him as her brother and wanted him to rescue her from the custody of Shinda. As Sodhi came in tea shop and sat, she started talking. Shinda appeared and shot bullets in Bhai sahib’s chest, but he didn’t fell and tried taking out his revolver. Then both of them shot at Bhai Sahib from their revolvers. Bhai sahib took 12 bullets in his body and fell down. As he lay in pool of blood, the assassins ran away. News of Sodhi’s Shaheedi spread like a jungle fire, and Santji was deeply pained. His words were ‘Today my Right arm has been cut, I’ve lost my beloved son, my Tiger has been killed, but killers should remember, I’m still alive’’. A plate was hanged on the door of Guru Ramdas langar, on which Sodhi’s killers were promised to be punished in 24 hours. And Singhs did take revenge of Sodhi’s shaheedi in 24 hours, punishing all the people involved in Shaheedi of Bhai Surinder singh Sodhi. Kesri Parnaam to Veer Sodhi Bhai sahib’s life is an example of spirit of Khalsa. In 18th century, it was Bhai Sukha Singh, who is still remembered for his brave and daring acts, for punishing panth-dokhis. Bhai Shaib was Sukha Singh of 20th century. He was a true soldier, A Sant, gurmukh, Abhyasi of Naam baani, believed in Panthic unity and ever ready to lay down his life for cause of panth. His name struck fear in hearts of enemies of Panth, and a wave of Charhdi kala in minds of gursikhs. He’ll be an inspiration for Sikh youth for ages to come. Khalsa panth will always remember ‘Tiger of Santji’ for his Supreme Sacrifice. Sri Akaal ji Sahai
  17. I'll post it here for sangat to see: Through the complete detachment from Maya's expanse, deception and illusion, control your mind and become established in meditation (Jap or Naam-Simran) within. This is your Irhaa, Pingla and Sushumanaa. With such understanding, remove your duality of Irhaa, Pingla or Sushumanaa, and know that controlling the breath downward through right nostril or upward through the left nostril, and so on, are "empty hypocritical Dhaarmic practices" ineffective for awakening the true Love for the Mool (Source, Origin, Jot...). Be with Sat (Truth) within and without. Then the coiled Kundilini, which is none other than the knot between the mind and Maya, will untie spontaneously. : Nioulee karam bhuiangam bhaathee. Paakhand dharm preet nahee har sau gur sabad mahaa ras paaiaa: Inner cleansing techniques, channeling the energy to raise the Kundalini to the Tenth Gate, inhaling, exhaling and holding the breath by the force of the mind - by such empty hypocritical Dhaarmic or religious practices, the Love for the Lord is not produced. Only through the Word of the Gur-Shabad (Divine Word) is the sublime, supreme essence obtained (sggs 1043). : Akhand mandall nirankaar mahi anahd ben bajaavougo ...: (By being established) in the imperishable (indivisible Consciousness) realm of the Formless Lord, I play the flute of the unstruck sound current (of the Beloved)||1||. In this way, the mind which is fickle as fish will be held steady; then swan-soul will not wander around, and the body-wall will not crumble to evil passions ||1||. The body of such an Udasi does not fall or succumb to evil passion (sggs 952). : Kaayaa kalaalani laahani melau gur kaa sabad gurhu keen re...: (Some sects of Yogi drink wine before practicing Yoga. A Yogi asked Kabeer about the type of wine he drins. Kabeer's answer follows). Make your body the vat; let the Word of the Gur-Shabad (Divine Word) be the molasses; cut up desire, sexuality, anger, pride and envy, and let them be the fermenting bark ||1||. Thus, you mix in your yeast. Is there any Saint, with intuitive peace and poise deep within, unto whom I might offer my meditation and austerities as payment? ||1|| Pause || I dedicate my body and mind to whoever gives me even a drop of this wine from such a vat. I have made the fourteen worlds the furnace, and I have made the Realization of God within my body the fire that I have burnt in the furnace. To enshrine the Intuitive Love for God is my Mudra - my hand-gesture, is my sealing the pitcher to drive the wine into the pot and mental peace is my cooling pad (Sushumanaa). ||2|| Pilgrimages, fasting, vows, purifications, self-discipline, austerities and breath control through the "sun" (Pingla) and the "moon" (Irhaa) channels - all these I pledge for that wine. My focused consciousness is the cup, and the Amrit of Divine Name is the pure elixir. I drink in the supreme, sublime essence of this elixir. ||3|| The pure stream (of the true Wine of Naam) constantly trickles forth, and my mind is intoxicated by this sublime elixir. Says Kabeer, all other wines are trivial and tasteless; this is the only true elixir ||4||1|| (sggs 968-969). : Gurh kari giaan dhiya kari mahooaa bhau bhaathee mann dhaaraa ...: (The Yogi asked Kabeer as to how he makes this wine he just described. Kabeer's answer follows). Make spiritual wisdom the molasses, meditation the bassia flowers, and the Fear of God the furnace enshrined in your mind. The Shushmanaa becomes intuitively balanced, and then the drinker drinks in this wine. ||1|| O hermit Yogi, my mind is intoxicated with this wine. When that wine rises up, one tastes the sublime essence of this Rasa, and sees across the three worlds. ||1|| Pause || Joining the two channels of the breath, I have lit the furnace, and I drink in the supreme, sublime essence. I have burnt both lust and anger as fire-wood, and I have been emancipated from the world. ||3|| The light of spiritual wisdom enlightens me; meeting with the Guru, the True Guru, I have obtained this understanding. Slave Kabeer is intoxicated with that wine, which never wears off ||3||2|| (sggs 969). : Trai Sat angul vaaee audhoo sunn sach aahaao ... "Sun Enters The House Of Moon": How can we realize the Source? Or, how can the Real Self know Itself? Maya's material nature (including all matter) is composed of three qualities: Saatav, Raajas, and Taamas. In English, these three modes can be called goodness, passion and ignorance, respectively. They are like intertwined strands of the winding cord or rope of Nature. These three qualities are part of Maya or delusive force inherent in the creation. Through this medium, Nature holds in bondage all embodied beings. As indicated in the Gurbani, the sun due to its hot nature is metaphor for the fiery ego or Raajas and Taamas Guna (passion and ignorance, respectively). Whereas the moon because of its cooling and soothing nature is metaphor for the mode of Goodness (Saatav Guna), the state of Sahaj Avasthaa (the state of no-ego, Pure Being, or Turiyaa), Inner Peace, Intuitive Poise, Tranquility, Mool-realization... : Poonio pooraa chand akaas. Pasarahi kalaa sahaj paragaas. Aadi ant madhi hoi rahiaa theer. Sukh saagar mahi ramahi Kabeer: The ever present (beginning, middle and end) Divine is the Ocean of Peace, O Kabeer, immers in that Ocean and meditate on Him. By doing so, the Sahaj Avasthaa will shine forth within, just as on the day of the full moon, the moon shines forth in its full glory (sggs 344). When the "sun enters the house of moon", or when the moon is out in its full glory, the sun is not to be seen. Similarly, if man's quality of passion and ignorance ("sun") enter into the quality of Goodness ("moon"), the qualities of passion and ignorance fade away and the quality of Goodness becomes dominant. After transcending egoism or all modes of material nature (Maya), one becomes established in Purity, Transcendental Consciousness, Turiya or Soul Nature. : Kio mool pashaanai aatam jaanai kio sasi ghari soor samaavai. Gurmukhi hayumai vichahau khovai tayu Nanak Sahaj Samaavai: "How can the Root, the Source of all be realized? How can the Soul know itself? How can the sun enter the house of the moon?" By becoming a Gurmukh (Spiritual Being) eliminate the egoism from within; then, O Nanak, you naturally enter the Sahaj Avasthaa--sun (Maya's fire) enters into the home of the moon or Soul Nature (sggs 945). : Baarah solah mel kar saseear andar soor samaayaa: Combining twelve (months) and sixteen (phases of moon) the "sun" merges into the "moon" — Maya's material nature gets absobed into the Pure Being (Vaar Bhai Gurdaas) : Ekaadasee ek dis dhaavai...Baarasi baahar oogavai soor. Ahinis baajai anahad toor. Dekhiaa tihoon lok kaa peeou. Acharaj bhaiaa jeev te seeou: The person who engages in remembering One Divine ("ek dis dhaavai"), the complete Self-knowledge menifests in his bosom, its like twelve suns have arisen in his inner being! Day and night, he hears the celestial bugles vibrating the unstruck melody within, and he beholds the Father of the three worlds. This is so wonderful! A common man thus becomes God! (sggs 344). : Aangan merai sobhaa chand. Nisi baasur priya sangi anand: Within the courtyard of my Heart, the glory of the moon of Self-realization has shined forth. Night and day, I am in Bliss with my Beloved (sggs 372). Also, the "sun" is used as metaphor for Self-knowledge, Divine Light, Intuitive Wisdom and Divine Understanding. Similarly, the moon indicates Spiritual darkness. When the "sun" of True Knowledge and Understanding enters the "moon" (of Spiritual darkness), the "Joti-Svaroopa" shines forth. And God stands Realized! : Kavan mukh chand hivai ghar shaaiaa ...: Yogis asked Baabaa Nanak: "The moon of the mind is cool; how is it to be kept that way? How can the blazing sun of Knowledge be kept arisen all the time? How can the constant fear of Death be turned away? By what understanding is the honor of the Gurmukh (Spiritual Being) preserved? Who is the warrior, who conquers Death? Give us your thoughtful reply, O Nanak." By chanting the the Shabad in the Heart, the moon of the mind is illuminated with infinity. ||48||Thus, when the sun of Knowledge dwells in the house of the moon, the darkness of ignorance is dispelled (sggs 943). : Chaudasi chauthe thaavahi lahi paavai...: Chaudas: One who enters into the Fourth State of Consciousness, overcomes time, and the three qualities of Maya — Raajas, Taamas and Saatav. Then the "sun" of fiery Maya enters into the house of the "moon" of Intuitve Peace, and one comes to know the value of the true Way of Yoga. He then keeps his consciousness lovingly focused on God, who is permeating the fourteen worlds, the nether regions of the underworld, the galaxies and solar systems ||18|| (sggs 840). : Ougavai soor na jaapai chand. Jah giaan pragaas agiaan mitant: When the sun rises, the moon is not visible. Where the Light of Divine Wisdom illuminates, ignorance is dispelled (sggs 791). : Gur parasaad sahaj ghar paaiaa mittiaa andheraa chand charriaa: By the Gur-Grace (Grace of the Giaan-Knowledge, Wisdom...), I have entered the home of celestial bliss. Darkness of ignorance is dispelled, and the moon of wisdom has risen (sggs 393). "Moon Enters The House Of Sun": With the rise of the sun, the moon fades away. That is to say, when the "moon enters the house of sun", the moon becomes veiled or dormant. Similarly, when man's Pure Nature, Soul Consciousness, Inner Peace or Intuitive Poise ("moon") enters the material nature of Maya ("sun"), the Soul Nature fades away and the illusion, egoism or evil passions become dominant. : Solah kalaa sampoorano sasi ghar sooraj viratee haanee: When moon, the master of sixteen phases (Pure Nature) enters into the sun (material nature), it gets faded (Vaar Bhai Gurdaas). Moonless night or Amaavas is metaphor for our darkness of ignorance or falsehood (egoism). When our mind is overtaken by the darkness of egoism, the "moon" of Truth is not to be seen anywhere! But the moment the egoism begins to thin out, the "moon" of Truth begins to rise and gradually grows; bringing Divine Virtues like Peace, Contentment, Knowledge, Compassion, Shabad- Vichaar... : koorr amaavus such chundhrumaa dheesai naahee keh charriaa: In this dark night of falsehood, the "moon" of Truth is not be seen anywhere (sggs 145). : Amaavas aatam sukhee bhae santokh deeaa gurdev: The day of the new moon: My soul is at Peace; the Divine has blessed me with contentment (sggs 299). Soul's Purity And Freedom: The sun and the moon shower their light on everyone and everyplace without any prejudice or distinction, and ever remain untouched by the environment thereof. For instance, by shining on water they do not get wet, by shining on trash they do not get stinky, by shining on dirt they do not get dirty, by shining on a pot they do not become that pot, and so on. Also, although the fire burns everything that comes in its way, but it ever remains untouched by the objects it burns. In that sense, they are said to be immaculate, free or liberated. Similarly, the Mool (Source, Origin, Jot...) is always in its Pure Nature, Truth-Knowledge-Bliss. However, when this Pure Consciousness gets refracted at the prism of false ego-center, the duality or the sense of distinction and separation is perceived. Which, in turn, gives rise to a perceiver of objects, a feeler of emotions, and a thinker of thoughts. Thus, it is because of the rise and intervention of the mind and body (false ego-sense) that we veil the Reality from ourselves. However, the Self eternally remains Pure and Liberated even in spite of our filthy egoism. In the same way, a Brahm Giaanee, the Mool-realized person, remains pure and liberated regardless of external events, conditions, circumstances, changes, place or time. Without abandoning family and society — like the sun and the moon and the fire, free from bondage — the Spiritual Beings live in the midst of Maya or worldly happenings, yet remain unaffected and untouched. : Soor muktaa sasee muktaa brahm giaanee alipaae. Subhaavat jaise baisantar aliptaa sadaa nirmalaai: The sun is liberated, and the moon is liberated; the God-realized being is pure and untouched. His inner nature is like that of fire, untouched and forever immaculate (sggs 1001). : Kakkaa kiran kamal mahi paawaa. Sasi bigaas sanpatt nahee aavaa. Aru je tahaa kusam ras paawaa. Akah kahaa kahi kaa samjhaavaa ||7||: KAKKA (a letter of the Gurmukhi alphabet): When the rays of (the sun of the Knowledge - Giaan) come into the heart-lotus, the moon-light of Maya cannot enter the basket (of the mind - it cannot close the blossomed heart-lotus again). (By reaching that state) if I enjoy the subtle fragrance of that Spiritual Flower (blossoming of the heart-lotus), I cannot describe it - its indescribable; I could speak, but who would understand? ||7|| (sggs 340).

The first pangti here, what is meant by placing the moon over the sun?The second one, what is the western gate, or the pasham duar, and is the sun code for prakash? The third one I didn't understand the first two words in gurmukhi, but I researched the Shushmanaa channel. https://www.yogapedia.com/definition/5596/sushumna. Its the centre channel for energy to flow connecting to all other channels. The fourth requires understanding of pascham dwar, and what is the stone refer to?For the final pangti here, what is meant by the window.
