Hes 105 years old!!!! He doesn't understand what the muslim family member is saying as you can tell from his voice.  The grandfather probably thinks it's one of those funny movies kids make.

The true spineless person is the muslim trying to manipulate a old man into islam.

A rational human being would see a poor old man repeating words he doesn't understand and doesn't care for, but hes his grandson before him and goes along with it.

Stop making mountains out of flat lands.

And this is after that guy attacked Guru Arjan Dev ji Gurdwara Derby! And remember what day it is today; Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s Shaheedi Purab. What a wacko world that we are living in.

also be careful of 'fasle' darshan, which can be due to:

    1. hallucination- due to sleep depravation, eagerness

    2. waking-dream (being half asleep)

    3. some evil entity /spirit trying to trick you

    4.  maya trying to trick you.

If you look at how Sikhs tied dastaars 100 - 150 years ago, it’s similar to the orange, green & beige (top right) dastaars seen in the thumbnail of the YouTube video here.

    Urmm....

Firstly sorry for the cheesy pun!

If someone can shed light onto how they came about I'd be grateful. What does everyone make of them, is the person wearing one any less than those that tie one daily, do we consider them as topis or can they be classified as Dastars?

I would say that starched Paghs are better for the Kenyan style. It only becomes a topi if you treat it as one (e.g: take of like a hat rather than not doing the larh to larh).

Sikhs need to stop drinking bruh.

You need to realize you should encourage everyone to be sober if they can, and let people who need something use the only safe substance in the world. That's why the relationship is timeless like that.

That whole post you just ignored to hone in on Sukh. Arguing over Sukh and meat is pointless when drunk Sqrdars beating women is your reputation know what I'm sayin?

    Sukh? It’s called Sukha

We don’t need to breed ourselves into significance!  All we need is ‘one’ Parcharak/Leader that can connect with the masses and before you know it, the numbers will multiply faster than anything you have seen.  Sounds familiar to the great leader that emerged in the 1980’s and changed the landscape of Punjab and the Diaspora.  Have faith and pass on Sikhi to your children and spread it to those who know nothing about us and watch everything that happens before your eyes. Stay Chardikala!

We need someone like Akali Phoola Singh and Sant Jarnail Singh Ji. Back in the 80’s , loads of people were taking Amrit.

The Mandir you're talking about I think is Baba Balak Nath. I have been there a few times. This Mandir does have different vibe to it. The main baba of the Mandir is some character. I have seen him beat up this guy who was possed by evil sprits. The guy was acting like a bull whilst the Baba was beating the evil spirits out of him.the pray hall was full at the time and everyone was watching this calmly lol, I can't say if this worked or not but I do believe in evil spirits curses etc. (but thats a whole different topic for different thread )

My gran one time went here but she got scared and ran out just as she went in because there were buckets at the front and people were ? in them!

    I was just wondering this...

the rehat maryada states that one of the chaar bujjar kurhets is adultry - you have to be married to commit this. Let’s say a singh wasn’t married, took Amrit at a young age and has a physical relation with someone, does he still have to go pesh?...

You have to go for pesh if you have a relationship outside marriage. That basically means that having a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship is a kuhrehit. It’s different to finding someone to marry.
