Yea if I'm not wrong whenever Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj used to have diwans or katha. All the animals would come and hear it.Truely amazing.

They all say that I should hear the sound of Waheguru while I recite it.. ''Rasna Naam Jappy tey Mann suney'' by Sant Maskeen ji.. So I really wanted to do that but I feel sad knowing that I am not doing it right.. that is why I am falling asleep pretty much all the times..
Bhenji do not feel sad that you are not doing it right. It is perfectly fine.Guru Sahib will still be pleased as long as we are moving away from maya and heading towards our Guru.If we make an effort,Guru Sahib will do kirpa.

If it is really hard to stay awake during simran, a suggestion I have is that you can go to youtube and type Vaheguru simran. You can follow the simran and sing along. That can help you concentrate.

Wait so this guy just got arrested and he just escaped.Sigh, but what you said is true to some extent.Bad people will face their karma but it does not necessarily have to be when they die.Look at the history everyone who tried to harm the Sikhs got part of their punishment in this life itself. Then when they die they get the punishment from dharamraj. For example Wazir Khan was very arrogant he did so much paap.In the end Guru Sahib sent his Khalsa and they got justice. This process has been happening and will continue to happen. The Khalsa is already here. When Guru Sahib gives Hukam, everyone will gather together and form the Khalsa Panth and Panj Pyare and jathedar will take leadership.Just a while more Sangat ji.

Veerji not really sure.Maybe 2 to 3 minutes.
4 hours ago, CHaamCHrick said:Are you allowed to share them with us? When you are doing your Simran do you sit in a cross legged lotus position on the floor or do you sit in a chair or on the side or edge of your bed? How long does it take before you have experiences? How long does your sadhna last? Do you stay alert all throughout your meditation or slip into some kind of drowsiness where you find yourself half asleep and half awake? You don’t have to answer any of my questions if you don’t want to, but I am really desperate for some practical guidance and help.
One last question. Before you sit down for your meditation what kind of mind-frame are you in? I mean, do you have to struggle to keep your mind focussed or does it come naturally? Honestly, you don’t have to answer any of these questions, but it would help other seekers and myself enormously if you do. Have you had anymore darshans of anyone else? What about sounds? Do you hear any? If you do, then how long do they last? I would really appreciate some input from you.
It depends.Somethings that are supposed to be gupt.Guru Sahib will signal to me that I cannot tell. While other things it's fine.I normally sit cross legged while simran. Some experiences come during simran, others come randomly.Theres no fixed time before getting experiences. The only thing I can say is it really depends on Maharaj. When Maharaj thinks it's fine then you get the experiences or memories. As for how long I am in that sadhna or what state I am in I really cant say that as it is supposed to be gupt.I cannot tell about my state of mind either and any other experiences yet.I have to wait for Hukam.

What becomes of people like us that fall asleep while remembering God at Amritvela? Do we go to hell? Can you pls answer these questions, as I am really anxious to know.
Not sure if it is common veerji.I heard a katha that if while doing simran or path and u fall asleep if when you wake up in the morning immediately the first thing u say is the shabad or continuing the simran. Then in dharamraj court it is written that whole night u were doing simran or a shabad. If u fall asleep during Amritvela it wont cause u to go hell.

I might try getting up at 0430 and go to bed at 8:30 pm
Ya that might work too.

Yes same here I'm still in school too .I think a start would be 5 to 6 just for our 5 bani.So that we at least do the basic requirement then slowly we can upgrade ourselves.

Vaheguru ji ka Khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh
If I'm not wrong 12 to 6 is amritvela.About 1130 we are supposed to get up and do ishnaan. Then during amritvela we do 5 banis,2 to 3 hours of simran,Asa di vaar and if we have time other banis(E.g Sukhmani Sahib)
Edit:I just realised I did not answer the question..If I'm not wrong 3 to 4 is strongest.I heard someone say that 3 to 4 is gold,4 to 5 is silver and 5 to 6 is bronze.

I am an amritdhari singh and I got married to an amritdhari dumala tying girl just 6 months ago. I consider myself a beginner in terms of sikhism and I got baptised just a year ago and still trying to adapt. However, I am always trying to be better sikh. Anyways, coming back to my marriage, first couple of months were great. However, after that, I got to know about my wife's previous relationship which ended few years ago as she said the guy was abusive and did not trust her. At that time, she was not baptised and the guy was a hindu. But the fact that she did not talked about this before our marriage has really left an impact on me. Even after she getting baptised, she used to talk <banned word filter activated> with some guys, although she says she was never with anyone physically after that relationship. This whole incident has affected me badly and now I am going through anxiety and depression. Every few days, I find a reason or go back in past and have arguments. It gets so bad that I keep thinking about ending my life. The fact that I married an amritdhari girl and then I learn about all this really makes me wonder what god has planned for me and what should I believe in anymore. Just yesterday, she was listening to some punjabi song that had alcohol reference and I told her to not listen to such songs but she said she can't change herself because of me and that if I wanted to control, I should have married someone else.
Having said that, we both love each other very much, at least when I am not having anxiety attacks. But I don't know what to do now. It seems like we have different ideologies when it comes to sikhism even though we are both amritdhari. I can't get out of depression and keep going back in past and this is ruining my life and my marriage. No matter how much I try to live in present, somehow I end up in same painful spot. I don't want to be bad sikh, but I am really struggling and don't know what to do.
I don't want to disclose her past to anyone in the family, so can't even talk to anyone. That's why I am here. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much.Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh
Veerji, the only advice I can give u is that you do 1 sukhmani sahib path during Amritvela.I can guarantee you within 40 days, your wife will follow full rehat of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj.

No veerji it is not Vaheguru ji that brings the black magic.Black Magic or White Magic are done by people who have no fear of God.They try to go against Gods will but of course they fail as only God can change his will.As for ghost, being a ghost is normally a punishment. There are normally 2 ways I heard of in which people become ghosts.1st is if they practise magic, then they get punished and become ghosts.2nd is if they commit suicide. Then they become ghosts until the day they were supposed to die. Then they go to Dharamraj.

Harinder's released a video on Nirvair Khalsa Jatha's youtube page (i'm not posting it out of principle, it's easy to find), he waffle's on for 10 minutes telling people to make up their own minds and how the system's corrupt.
I remember seeing them years ago, they were pretty good, they had all the sangat's attention, i saw them recently (well, a couple of years back, before they opened their own Gurdwara) and he rolled up in a brand new white Audi Q7 with a private plate (something like NKJ **) and that spoke volumes about who he and his group of rag tag followers were, power and money corrupts, only a few are immune to it, these lot are as corrupted as they get.
Yea he called Jathedar ji a hypocrite. All the more sangat should listen to our jathedar and not NKJ.Just because NKJ says a couple of good things, that does not give them the right to say the wrong things and not be questioned. For example Harinder said mental illnesses cannot be cured by Gurbani.by that he is putting limitation on Guru ji's capabilities. If we have full faith in our Guru he can solve all our problems. We dont have to see a worldly doctor, our physician is Guru ji.

Wait are you from UK veerji?Cuz that's what I heard from someone in UK that you are allowed to not wear masks in some areas but other areas you have to wear a mask to go to a store.
