  1. Kabbadi is good for health, endurance, overall conditioning. It is important to remain fit & healthy. ਹਉ ਗੋਸਾਈ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਵਾਨੜਾ ॥ Ho Gosaaee Dhaa Pehilavaanarraa || I am a wrestler; I belong to the Lord of the World. ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ (ਮਃ ੫) ਅਸਟ (੨੯) ੧੭:੧ - ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ : ਅੰਗ ੭੪ ਪੰ. ੮ Sri Raag Guru Arjan Dev ਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਉਚ ਦੁਮਾਲੜਾ ॥ Mai Gur Mil Ouch Dhumaalarraa || I met with the Guru, and I have tied a tall, plumed turban. ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ (ਮਃ ੫) ਅਸਟ (੨੯) ੧੭:੨ - ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ : ਅੰਗ ੭੪ ਪੰ. ੯ Sri Raag Guru Arjan Dev ਸਭ ਹੋਈ ਛਿੰਝ ਇਕਠੀਆ ਦਯੁ ਬੈਠਾ ਵੇਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੧੭॥ Sabh Hoee Shhinjh Eikatheeaa Dhay Baithaa Vaekhai Aap Jeeo ||17|| All have gathered to watch the wrestling match, and the Merciful Lord Himself is seated to behold it. ||17|| ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ (ਮਃ ੫) ਅਸਟ (੨੯) ੧੭:੩ - ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ : ਅੰਗ ੭੪ ਪੰ. ੯ Sri Raag Guru Arjan Dev ਵਾਤ ਵਜਨਿ ਟੰਮਕ ਭੇਰੀਆ ॥ Vaath Vajan Ttanmak Bhaereeaa || The bugles play and the drums beat. ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ (ਮਃ ੫) ਅਸਟ (੨੯) ੧੮:੧ - ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ : ਅੰਗ ੭੪ ਪੰ. ੧੦ Sri Raag Guru Arjan Dev ਮਲ ਲਥੇ ਲੈਦੇ ਫੇਰੀਆ ॥ Mal Lathhae Laidhae Faereeaa || The wrestlers enter the arena and circle around. ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ (ਮਃ ੫) ਅਸਟ (੨੯) ੧੮:੨ - ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ : ਅੰਗ ੭੪ ਪੰ. ੧੦ Sri Raag Guru Arjan Dev ਨਿਹਤੇ ਪੰਜਿ ਜੁਆਨ ਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਥਾਪੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਕੰਡਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੧੮॥ Nihathae Panj Juaan Mai Gur Thhaapee Dhithee Kandd Jeeo ||18|| I have thrown the five challengers to the ground, and the Guru has patted me on the back. ||18|| ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ (ਮਃ ੫) ਅਸਟ (੨੯) ੧੮:੩ - ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ : ਅੰਗ ੭੪ ਪੰ. ੧੦ Sri Raag Guru Arjan Dev
  2. Sri Gur Gobind Singh Ji was born in Patna, Bihar. Granted, these individuals come with their own traditions/habits - chewing and spitting paan (tobacco) and smoking cigarettes which is bad BUT, this is not enough for one to discriminate them based upon their geolocation/caste. The Guru's never discriminated other castes. Instead, they embraced them and taught them otherwise. I.e. Kauda Raaksih and Gur Nanak Dev Ji. I'm against the caste hatred as it's simply not GurSikhi. GurSikhi is compassion, love, understanding and being righteous. There are other ways you can talk to someone to get your point across. Being discriminative and aggresive is not always the best option.
  3. 1. Can you share the source of this reading? So we can all get some more context and verify the validity of this reading material please? 2. Raaj isn't really preached in the teaching of the Gurus. If so, I'm sure the 10 Guru's would've clearly made this apparent in their teachings and would have accomplished this objective themselves. Sri Guru Granth Sahib - Ang: 534 (Guru Arjan Dev Ji): Raaj Na Chahou Mukat Na Chahou Man Preet Charan Kamalare. (I do not seek power and I do not seek liberation. My mind is in love with your lotus feet) Sri Dasam Granth Sahib - Ang: 57 (Bachitar Naatak): Ham Ih Kaaj Jagat Mo Aae. Dharam Heth Gurdev Patthai. (I have set foot on this Earth for this one reason; to propogate righteousness) Jahaan Tahaan Tum Dharam Bithaaro. DushT Dokheean Pakarr Pachharro. (The Lord has asked me to spread Dharam and vanquish tyrants and evil-minded individuals) I could reference countless other tuk's from Gurbaani but i'm sure these two suffice. Akali Baba Phoola Singh Ji was walking in the steps of the teachings of the Gurus; on a mission to eliminate the enemy; in this case being the British who tried ever so hard to eliminate our teachings by performing disgusting acts such as but not limited to: Creating the SGPC Spreading propaganda of the Khalsa Issuing 'shoot on-sight' orders to kill Singhs Spreading propaganda on our scriptures Sending in paid Sikhs to spread nonsence and create divisions Polluting the Khandeh Di Pahul maryada by introducing other cults to participate Removing the Nihang Singhs from the Akaal Bunga Sahib aka Akaal Takhat Sahib and therefore the whole Jathedaari system that has been in place since the time of the Gurus.
  4. This reminds me of Dwight and Jim from the US version of The Office.
  5. Vaguely : No. Every individual goes through their own journey. X and Y chromosomes have a play into it and maybe just normal conditioning (seeing your beta parent and how they get mistreated/not heard may want the child to be different or the same). Growing up, I attributed a lot of my parent’s qualities but as I grew older I started to question them; this led me to discard some and cherish others. I truly don’t think there is a yes/no to this question, as there are so many variables.
