  1. I used to do regular seva in langar hall and use to feel very upset and angry when i use to see someone doing seva standing at my place. With time i learned that never ask for seva which is already being done instead find some thing else to do if you cant find anything just sit and listen gurbani.

  2. prathham rehith yehi jaan kha(n)ddae kee paahul shhakae ||asoee si(n)gh pradhhaan avar n paahul jo leae ||

To drink the Ambrosial Nectar of the Khanda (Amrit) is the primary instruction for the Sikh. He who abandons all other initiations is truly a great Sikh.

and sorry to say ur translation is all wrong. I think you didnt even tried to read the punjabi version.

  3. With full respect to your extraordinary geyan in sikh history and sri sarbloh granth. Can you tell me who are chandals. Before you ignore rest of my post and just quote one line out of no where. Let me answer

They are people who execute prisoners as per directions of government.

Guru Arjun dev ji was made to sit on hot tava by this group of workers called Chandals

It was Chandals who used swords over Guru Tegh Bhadur and fellow sikhs

Read history of chote sahib jade u will know the role played by chandals

Then comes bhai mani singh baba banda bahadur and so on

Read the history and you will find word chandal in each sakhi of shaheedi after being captured.

As in sikhi the person work is used to describe his community and most of the time person carries on his family work hence with time chandals evolved as a tribe or caste.

This is the reason guru sahib told chandal can be a sikh but cant be singh. If you want to take amrit change you work. If belong to chandal group ie kill prisoners you will not be given amrit.

Instead of questioning here why dont people tend to ask these questions to dal panth if you hate dal panth for some personal reasons you can always find your way through sri sarbloh granth, dasam granth, suraj parkash, panth parkash, gurubilas patshahi 6 and 10.

There is no mareyada which was or being followed by nihang singh which cant be tracked in one of the above granths

  4. The dera followers are not getting such spiritual, physical and financial help in gurdwaras which they should get but in such deras.

If you need to a small house your fellow nirankaris can help you financially without even knowing you but not applicable in sikhs

A radhaswami would respect you even if you are of sikh, hindu, muslim origin radhaswami but in sikhs there is a high chance of one sikh making fun of other sikhs dressing style caste language.

All radhaswamis nirankaris etc have 1 mareyada no matter which of their member you ask he will tell you very same thing to do. But in sikhs if you ask this question whats rehat mareyada the sikh after 1 hours discussion with you will make you believe that only mareyada he and his jatha is following in Gurus mareyada rest all sikh are doing anti sikh practice.

If you want to practice meditation of katha veechar go to such deras you will see one person speaking rest listening. In most of gurdwaras kids playing, Bibis talking, Admi laughing, sevadars fighting.

The only reason these deras are their not because our guru is not capable nor these gurus are great but because we lack our commitment towards society towards humans.

No matter we beat them we kill them we dont allow them to do satsangs this derawad would only increase with more and more normal average sikhs joining them everyday.

Galti sudharan da pehla step hai Galti nu mann na

  5. Nihangs do jhatka of goats and drink copious amounts of bhang- I think that says it all, there is no way either of these are from Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. Not to attack nihangs but there are MANY different thoughts in Nihang maryada that are unbelievably against Sikh teaching. Eg. in amrit sanchars so called lower castes are given amrit SEPERATELY from so called higher castes. There is no way this can be traced back to Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

U cant use "sikh teachings" here but it may be against your views. This is the problem with jathebandis that my jathas views are only sikh views and they bypass every thing even akal takth sahib mareyada. The very day in amrit sanchar at akal takth sahib they say dont eat any maas then it would be against sikh mareyada. Till that day no matter how is it promoted it would be just a jathas thought. Just think about are not such comments increase the confusion among sikhs.

There are no seprate amrit sanchars only one batta is made but yes they use to ask your caste before giving amrit for two reasons they dont give amrit to chandals (those who question it must read sri sarbloh granth in which guru sahib kept chandals out they can be sikhs but not singhs) and second is as they say the first person the stand for guru sahib was a Khatri give it to khatris first as one of their forefather was the first to give his head to guru and so on and this mareyada was there 30 - 40 years ago.

I can assure you that not all Nihangs do jhatka or bhang, this can be confirmed by almost all of the Jathedaars of the Nihang Dals/Misls i.e. Baba Nihaal Singh Jee, Baba Tarlok Singh Jee, etc

Come and stay with even baba nihal singhs dal you will know. Even dushera jhatka is done at harianbela.

    Back to topic

No matter which jathebandi you belong if you dont progress in ur life no jathebandi can help. If you have naam simren in your pocket you dont need any jathebandi to help you out. So trackbacks to Guru sahib doesnt matter nor the jathebandis matter.

If you follow mareyada naam simren nitname seva etc you can urself track ur atma with parmatma.

  6. Main Tarna dal is Baba Bakala under baba Makhan Singh rest all are sub parts of tarna dal.

Even today a new dal can be formed but under tarna dal only and that to with the permissions of budhadal jathedar only. Once a new dal is made its given its own nishan nagara and sarbloh batte for degh.

The two dals Guru Nanak dal and Biddhi Chand dal are newly formed parts of Tarna Dal By Baba Santa Singh.

  7. Budhadal is the army of the elders Tarndal Is the army of the young

that used to b ethe case but is not no more

you could say there very similar just some rehait is different.

Which rehat is different I have stayed with almost all dals I cant even figure out which singh is from which dal till I ask him nor i can have seen any difference in rehat.

  8. If khalistan is to be made physically on the land of punjab then this decision should be left to Punjabi people ... every one is welcome to contest elections on any issues ... or come settle in punjab and increase your number and then raise voice for khalistan... If more then half people are asking for it no one can stop it... but if 10 % people are asking for it then it cant be made...

And with the attitude of people in favour of khalistan just on this forum one can easily feel they tend to force it on others instead of making people aware to join them they scare them away.

Simran jit singh maan is always contesting elections on Khalistan issue he will again in coming elections in Feb. If he alone wins from Tarn Taran people are in favour of khalistan. If not people of punjab are more concerned about jobs for youth better health conditions better roads etc. Issues Congress and Akali dal uses in elections.

You cant declare some a non sikh if he gives basic needs for survival priority in punjab then khalistan.

  9. I bet no one here read gurubilas patshahi 6 yet they are standing for it because the person questioning it is a missionary.

Gurbilas patshai 6 says just few points

Before Guru Hargobind sahib all gurus wore sali topi

Two Langars were made in guru Hargobind jis time one for public one for army where meat was served

Guru Hargobind sahib ji used dogs while hunting to hunt deers and other animals

Any one can read it and see whats in it and now i would like to see how many people stand with it or against it or the 21st centuries most common attitude that is what ever fits in my form of sikhi is true rest part is written by brahamins.

The main idea is lets first spend our time reading our literature and after that we will find that there is no time for debates as we will be wanting to read it again and again and again ....

  10. And what is the purpose of this thread other than trying to prove that DDT does not have any evidence for its historical lineage but the Nihangs do? This has been going on for the last 5 years and what has it achieved?

When all of the sampardya start to practice what they were set up for then we will have a chardikala panth. I disagree with the platform that the new DDT Youth try to place themselves on along with the Nihangs in the West who are more about the 'outwardly appearance' than the the true Nihang mat.

There is not need for anyone to prove their jathebandi is superior to another since the actions of the Singhs within that jathebandi uphold or dis-honor the history of that jathebandi.

DDT have done a very good job of spreading Santia in the UK a lot of it via the effort of a handful of Gursikhs, but they limit the exposure of this gem to those that will join their gang. No offense but to date I have not seen the Nihangs in the UK offer anything other than 'saheedi Degh' making techniques and other than the Nang Nidaar there are not many gatka classes led by Nihangs or santiya classes of Dasam or Sarblog Granths.

So rather than create friction just sort your own Jevaans out and the glory of your jathebandi will follow.

I appreciate 'socialidiot' that you would state that you are only doing research. If that is the case you will not find your answers on this site. Go and talk to Giani Pritam Singh or other Singhs from DDT who can answer your questions. You are not going to find the individuals with the answers you are looking for on this site.

Bhai sahib ji .... was there any need of abusing nihangs out of no where ??? just read the whole thread again was it really needed ??? instead of abusing nihangs why dont you give some links to the thread starter where he can read itehas ...

  11. Yes true till 1984 India followed the system of army which was used by British but during operation blue star Sikh regiment deployed in bihar revolted and marched towards Amrtisar but stopped at Patna.

After this revolt the then army chief which was later killed by Sukha and Jinda started merging these armies not only sikhs but all the regiments were merged even now you can see gorkhas in bihar regiment sikhs in gorkha regiment and so on. Now its more a lottery kinda system soldier under training doesnt know till his last day which regiment he will join in.

There were hindus in sikh regiment before this and during british period. All you need to do is tick your religion sikh in the form unlike today. Keeping uncut beard was mandatory to be a part of sikh regiment even if u dont keep hair but u need to keep the beard and that to uncut.

And one more important thing which sikh regiment now lacks is chandi di vaar it was compulsory for every soldier to learn it by heart. And when ever sikh regiment goes for any type of task the commander does this path loudly with his soldiers.

Now sikh regiment is not more then a joke. That we saw in Kargil 1999 war. Pakistanis killed 3 times more soldiers then indians did.

I think BSF has more sikhs the Sikh regiment right now. Because in reality its BSF who will takes the first assault so they are putting more sikhs in that.

It should be strong enough to support you but thin enough so that you have to be in some state of awareness to make it balance.

Best place to buy it haridwara its in T shape with almost exactly balance till you are in meditation you are own it as soon as you fall asleep you are down. Its hard to get that balance.

If you are making it your self make sure it balance and its height should be kinda Pythagoras Theorem dependent when you sit in a chonkra lean forward with your back straight till your chin reaches 3-4 inch ahead of your feet. That would be the height it should have.
