Anyone notice a strange pattern emerging near to both Seven Kings Gurdwaras. The karamsar Gurdwara has a rather big rectangular building on the right side that has muslims doing some prayers or studies there. It is not a mosque. But seems like they are hiring rooms out there with probably an intention of converting it into a mosque although probably difficult to get planning permission. Not sure why they chose right next to the Gurdwara. Then you have the other Seven Kings Gurdwara further down, The older built one. Here it is the same thing. Directly opposite a community type building where I have seen muslims with tradional skul cap ect going in and out. Using it as prayer room of some sort. Not sure why Muslims are chosing buildings so close to Gurdwaras. Maybe they think they will be safer nearer a Gurdwara or its for some other reason.

Well its is easy to spot a cockroach lurking under the woodwork. One minute he talks about being respectful to punjabi sisters. Then the next minute uses an incredibly disrespectful and offensive term of a womans lady part on a forum full of young women. This must show how respectful you are I guess? Well this thread was old and had gone back all the way to the bottom. If you were really concerned about seeing this thread why did you reply to an old thread that was not even visible on the forum you woofter and bring it all the way back. ^ Here Here Gurwaras are no place for doing things like holding iftars and eid dinners. Its become a pc world. But we all know these sikhs dont represent mainstream Sikhs. -
First of all I feel for you. Arranged marriages are a complete lottery. You dont know who your going to end up with untill you get married. You need to be a man and sort the wife out. It might sound harsh. But women can be a bit agressive and confrontational. As they know you cannot hit them. This is their nature. Not all of them are like this. You get some really nice ones. But as I said its pot luck. Sometimes they need to know there boundaries and put in their place. If it still does not work. She sounds like one of those bad ones. That just cares about herself and wants to dominate you. Through making you feel guilty. She is showing pass agressive traits which alot of women do. Maybe its time to end the marriage before you have kids and it really gets messy.

It think it all comes down to positive publicity. The Sikhs are saying, look at us. We are being good to muslims and giving you eid treats. Now treat us good back. Also dont mistake us for hindus who do riots against you. Treat our Sikh punjabi community good in places like katar, dubai, united Emirates. Its all a publicity stunt. I bet after this they go back to dissing muslims as usual. -

Actually it would be a good idea to collect all the news articles and put them all together to show what happens to girls when they run off and become muslims. Many are naive and dont know what happens to them. Unfortunatley girls are not as intellegent as they like to think and end up in all kinds of trouble.

I am not sure if Jagsaw has some hidden agendas. I think he has made some interesting points over the time he has been on the forum. Obviously sometimes he goes of on a tangent. But maybe probably down to over enthusiasm for subject's that he is interested in. I am not saying I agree with everthing he posts but do agree with alot things. Just like I do with other posters. He obviously likes to do research before replying to topics. Unlike most who simply post with the knowledge they already have in the bank as most members dont have time to research things through all the time. As for the Gurdwaras. Yep there is definantly a resemblence to to middle eastern mosques. Maybe we should look to come out with new designs and put our own distinctive mark on them. Lets be honest they look virtually the same. With the dome shapes. and number of domes. ie usually one big one and one on each side. This does not mean Sikhs are are muslim! We have just copied the architectural style from them. Infact the only reason I realised this and posted the original topic. Is because a muslim friend of mine remarked how nice gurdwaras looked and that they had similar shape and design to a mosque.

Due to some of our youth not being that knowledgeable of the faith. They may sometimes comes across questions or queries from muslims and Christians about Sikhism. I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where we can give examples of answers to Muslims questions. Will add more later. 1) If Sikhism is a true or right religion. Why does it only have 30 million followers? Answer Sikhism is a 500 year old religion. It is not a new faith but a very old one which goes back centuries. But why only 30 million? in that space of time. Why has Sikhism not grown like other faiths. Why do other not want to become Sikhs. Its is no exactly a new faith but one that has been around since the 15th century. It is because in its 500 year history, never have we tried to convert anyone to the faith. In that space of time we could have converted millions if we really wanted to. But from the very first day of faith there has never been any attempt to even preach the faith to others as we believe in freedom of faith. Not imposing our religion on others. If we preached the faith more and converted. There would easily be 100 to 150 Million Sikhs today and that is a conservative estimate. But we are not a religion that trys to convert others, that is why there are only 30 million Sikhs today and that number is people willfully becoming Sikhs. We are proud to only be 30 million.

Thanks Jigsaw for the topic. Just came across this now. I missed the last one you did also. I think reason why Sikh have a similar design to arabian or middle eastern because we were influenced by the mughals at the time. That could be the only reason. I dont see what the significance of the design is anyway. It is what is inside the structures that count. For me a temple is a place that can be any structure. As the beauty is inside and outside. I do believe we should go back to our original archtecture. ie hemkund saihib. So we look more distinctive.
