  2. Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh OH MY GOD!!!!!! This camp blew my mind! I thought it was going to be the usually type of programme, all I can say is that I m not the same person that went into that camp. It was fantastic, the speakers were out of this world and the content of what they spoke, I have never heard Sikhi described and made so alive. So what was covered 1. Leadership as seen by mainstream professional businesses - Jeffaris Window, conflict resolution, role playing 2. How Sikhi become sikhism 3. The Christianisation of Sikhi into our modern day Sikhi (these guys have people doing PhD's in this stuff) 4. Authentic leadership and Spirituality in the workplace 5. Psychology of Kam, Kroad, Loab, Moah and Ego - this was just unbelievable 6. The best was teh comparision of the model of humans as we understand it and how its described in Gurbani - incredible 7. Emotions, their psychology, connection with thoughts 8. Kudrat, - this was so amazing the relationship between atma, kudrat and Akal....makes me go all gooose pimply 9. even quamtum Physics, Gurbani and Consciousness 10. Q&A - excellent, even though there were the usual suspects trying to create contraversy with some questions, Gurkirpa, it didnt work! I have never heard anything like this, and to tell you the truth, it ALL made perfect sense. not just to me, but everyone I spoke to. Afterwords, one Singh was close to tears at what he'd heard. I also know that after this saturday lectures, many of us were discussing what we have heard til early hours of teh morning, when has that ever happened after a Camp? The speakers knew what they were talking about, all reserachers and at the same time directors of big companies, doing their PhDs in this areas. Wow! what inspiration. My only negative point is that we did not have enough time, everything that was in the lectures on Saturday was liek gold dust, never hearrd this type of thinking and never seen how Sikhi is so relevant in our everyday life. I think they mentioned that they have also developed a number of these programmes that have already been delievred in US and somewhere else. I just cant wait for the next one. Does anyone have the recording of the Saturday lectures or the Q&A on Sunday??? I want to sent it to every one I know. I cant stop talking about this, I have not written on this forum very often, I was so touched that I just want people to Know. Gurkirpa Mystic
  3. Vahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh Thank you for this information. There was an excellent lecture on Quantum Physics, Consciousness and Gurbani by Bhai Davinder Singh Panesar at Kings College, about 2 years ago. I know this lecture was recorded and may be avilable online. It was mind blowing, very well researched, including some brilliant work on the effects of intention on water (by Dr Masuru Emoto toyko uni) and its relationships to Amrit, cultivation of intent through Dhyan and simran (collapsing potentialities into "realities"). What I found most interesting was his research work on Consciousness and Quantum Physics; and the use of biaural beats of 4.5 beats/sec and its induction on trace showed the importance of raags. Just for interest, I ve heard his latest lecture on delivered at Berkeley California on Identity from a prepective of consciousness and psychology within the context and supported by Gurbani. Especially expercises that allowed individuals to experience states of consciousness and therefore have direct experience of Quantum Consciousness. 4. vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh Fellow travellers the first thing you should know is that the translation that you refer to are Christian in their meaning. Can anyone tell us where does the word "lord" appear in this tuk? pir muthee ddohaaganee thin ddukhee rain vihaae ||4|| The Lord rejects the impure soul-brides. Their life-night passes in misery. ||4|| You ll find this in almost all translation, but if that isnt confusing enough, many of the Sikhi terms have been misinterpreted due to the British and Christian influence in punjab during late 1700 - 1945. In fact, you may be surprised to note that a British General, Leyland (i think), discussed creatinga "British Khalsa" and in many respects if you research their infulence, you ll find that they have achieved something like that. Do we know what Akal Purekh actually means? The shabd Purekh is from the sanskrit word Purusa, or Pure Consciousness. This consciousness also exist within us as self-awareness, this self-awareness can be easily polluted by "content" from our emotions, thoughts and feelings. We are manmukhi is we identify with the content, we are Gurmukhi if we identify with the awareness that knows the content. Finally, Sikhi is about Jeevan Mukthi, nothing about what happens after we die. These ego preserving religions that offer heavens, hells, paradise etc are not of any interest to Sikhi. So, I would suggest that this tuk is explained without resorting to "other worldlyness". Impure soul brides are those individuals who are identified with the content that occupies thier awareness, therefore living in the past or future, while missing out on the reality of their life, The Presence in this Present Moment of NOW and Here! How can Akal Purekh reject anyone when we are all "his" children, his creation? We reject HIM through our stupidy, blinded by ego arrogance, this also includes Dharmic egos Gurfateh Mystic
