So this was a ideal time to test the Auto-update function. This is probably a first for STTM and this facility is something that will make the need for new versions obsolete. We will be able to add and repair the system when it has been flagged up. We had tested the Auto-Update during testing but it will only be useful if it was tested by the Sangat. As 'singh763173' pointed out that the read me file has the relevant update info: 12 April 2008 - Fixed sorting issue of Shabads (Laavan) 12 April 2008 - Added Laavan to Compiled Banis 12 April 2008 - Corrected versioning to 2.0.* Sorry we didn't notify earlier, but we need to test and thus the update was sent out. Gurfateh! We are going to be giving out free a SikhiToTheMax 2 CD 'FREE' at the AKJ UK Rehnsbhai at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Coventry, UK. Tonight!!!! It contain 15 Powerpoint presentations which I have just had a look at and they are great. I will post them ASAP for the Sangat not in the UK during next week. We are going to make a few hundred CD's so you might not get a reply to many questions today as we will be busy doing that. Gurfateh, If you select the Shabad in Lareevaar mode in 'Option'menu, but view it in Akhand Paath 'View', Shabad will appear Pad-ched at the top. Sorry that is the only option, on the www.sikhitothemax.com website you have your perferred option. We will discuss with the team if it easy to implement and get back to you. Also we would like the sangat to understand that we didn't have a big testing team as we were still making changes up until a few hours before the release. We apologise to all the Gursikhs that offered to test and help and ask for forgiveness for not getting the software to you. Similar to what you have written above veer jee. Techno Singh is right about the mac option, even though its not a Mac version, you can still use it on your Mac. Can someone tell me if that works, as I would love to use it on mine. Sarpanch Jee - STTM 2 is not the only project that we have been working on, please keep a eye out... we will make more announcements soon... very soon.... As you can understand the Team is big and doing numerous projects, however when it comes to IT it is a slow process. At the moment we do it as seva and hopefully one day to have full time workers, as we have software/material already penciled in just as good as STTM. Veer Jee, We are just testing the downloads from the Internet and it will be very soon! I am not saying when, but not tonight. Those in the IT industry can understand the problems for downloading software for the many Microsoft OS. There are some notes for the sangat to bear in mind. You will need Microsoft framework 1.1 for the system to work. This is a piece of software from MS which is the backbone on which STTM 2 was developed on. There will be a link on the read me file. Please read the READ ME file before you download. Notes for Users of Vista - You will probably have Framework 2, so don't worry. Also because Vista is soo great (Joke!) you will still have to run the system as 'Administrator'. We will try and work on system to allow you to bypass this but everyone who uses STTM on Vista at the moment runs it as 'Administrator'. We will also give out some email address's for those who have problems and ideas which you might want including. Please email us, as we don't normally post on forums as a rule. WaheguruJeeKaaKhalsa WaheguruJeeKeeFateh, The new version has a Hukumnama function, which will be explained in the tutorial Videos and the How-To guides. But all the Hukumnamas are selectable from menu on the left hand side of the screen according to which Raag they are present in. This is a much faster way to select the Hukumnama. Once you selected the Hukumnama and VIEW it in Akhand paath mode it will keep revolving around. There is also Punjabi Translation added to them for general Sangat + the normal English and Transliteration. This is for the Hukumnama function only. WaheguruJeeKaaKhalsa WaheguruJeeKeeFateh! The system is finished and we are trying to package it up to put up online. The new facility of auto-update is being tested, and we have added several new features in the last week. For those who are IT literate will know that any software needs a lot of testing before going out to the public. It is not perfect and there will be mistakes, however if Sangat informs us the Auto update facility will allow us to try and fix the system quicker. Please be patient we are still on schedule for release in the next couple of days. For those who have asked for a mac version (There are some on the STTM team who are Mac converts) were sorry but not yet!
