  1. It's great and sunny!!...We won the World Series last night..Whoooooooooo Hoooooooooo Join us for the parade on Saturday  )))) BTW, who are you talking about when you say "Redefeat Bush?" George Herbert Bush?
  2. Wow.. Just cause he doesn't stutter..does that automatically mean ..he can be a better commander-in-chief..than BuSh? Tuesday ain't too far Meanwhile: While the Right is not as predisposed to hating fellow Americans as is the Left, many non-Left Americans, while not harboring the hatred for Sen. John Kerry that the Left harbors for George W. Bush, hold John Kerry in low regard and believe that bad things would accompany a John Kerry presidency. Here is one voter's list: 1. John Kerry was described by Lynne Cheney as "not a good man" after Kerry used the Cheney daughter's <admin-profanity filter activated> orientation to score political points. She may be right. As William Safire writes, "The sleazier purpose of the Kerry-Edwards spotlight on Mary Cheney is to confuse and dismay Bush supporters who believe that same-sex marriage is wrong, to suggest that Bush is as 'soft on same-sex' as Kerry is, and thereby to reduce a Bush core constituency's eagerness to go to the polls." Even the press, Safire notes, has respected Mary Cheney's right to privacy. 2. John Edwards, Kerry's choice as his running mate, is a trial lawyer who has made a fortune suing hospitals. Like many in his profession, he has made America a worse country. However, even more of his character was revealed when he said after the death of Christopher Reeve, "If we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk, get up out of that wheelchair and walk again." As Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Charles Krauthammer, himself whee lchair-bound from paralysis, wrote, "In my 25 years in Washington, I have never seen a more loathsome display of demagoguery. Deliberately, for personal gain, raising false hope in the catastrophically afflicted is despicable. . . . There is no apologizing for Edwards's remark. It is too revealing. There is absolutely nothing the man will not say to get elected." 3. Normally even partisan observers of elections say nothing about the wives of presidential candidates. Aside from propriety -- the families of candidates should remain off-limits to political attacks -- every wife of every presidential candidate and of every president in living memory has been an asset to the country. It brings me no joy to say that Teresa Heinz Kerry is not worthy of being the first lady of the United States of America. From her public utterances -- such as young American men and women dying in Iraq because of American "greed for oil" -- and her many years of financial support for radical groups, it is clear to me and many others that this woman does not particularly care for this country. Her primary identity is that of world citizen, and her values are those of France and anti-American Europe. 4. John Kerry represents the Party of Michael Moore. This America-hating Marxist was given a place of honor at the Democratic Party Convention in Boston, seated next to Jimmy Carter, a former Democratic president who said that Moore's Goebbels-like propaganda film "Fahrenheit 9/11" was one of his two favorite films. 5. A vote for John Kerry is a vote for Michael Moore, the ACLU, Ted Kennedy, trial lawyers, George Soros, the leftist academics who morally confuse generations of young Americans, and for Dan Rather, CBS News, and nearly the entire news complex that daily presents a proctologist's view of America. A vote for John Kerry is a vote for Jesse Jackson, whom Kerry has named a top adviser; and for Al Sharpton, with whom Kerry campaigns; for Sean Penn and his Hollywood world; and for the passionatel y pro-Kerry MTV, the greatest destroyer of young people's minds and souls in American history. And a vote for John Kerry is a vote for the countries that have abandoned us and against the countries that are helping us. Two unimpressive men have been nominated by the Democratic Party to be president and vice president of the world's greatest country. If they win, this country will, for the first time, begin relinquishing that greatness. 3. Sikh Soldier: When did I ever mention that Sikhs would suffer small injustices as a result of being suspected of terrorism? Sikhs most likely have suffered "small injustices" from the time they landed here, because hate crimes are carried out on those who are different from the rest of the lot. Discrimination, prejudice, etc. also applies to the minority crowd. It's easy for us to sit here and laugh.."Hahahha- Americans are dumbasses- they couldn't even prevent 9/11" .. Edited *First warning : Pls No Personal Attack on other member*
  4. Yup, I am from Massachussets - The first state in the nation - The Birthplace of the USA. Bijla Singh: I like it how you took the opportunity to twist my words..when I did not accuse Islamics/Muslims/Middle Easterns ALL to be terrorists. In fact, I didn't even acusse anyone..being accountable of terrorism. All I said was hate, prejudice, bigots, etc. arised out of the post 9/11 America... ***No personal Attack please*** Well, do you mind perhaps sharing the stories of your "numerous" arrests...??.. If the Police Dept. of California were behind Sikhs ...dyamm..the state jails, half-way houses, and etc. must have been packedd...and perhaps even ran out of room. :| None the less, you are incapable of explaining how Mr. Bush called Officer Johnson of the California State Police Dept. to arrest Bijla Singh.. On a more serious note, you can't expect perfection and the highest degree of knowledge from law enforcement officials. Education will take time. People will be ignorant in the meantime, but until people are educated, sikhs will probably have to suffer small injustices because of the vigilance required to keep America safe.
  5. In response to Bijla Singh about being arrested: I think in previous presidency terms, America was not attacked with their own jetlines using their own airspace and as a result destroying their own two buildings as well as the countless innocent Americans that passed away that Tuesday morning. As a result of this incident, a lot of hatred, prejudice, and etc. arose towards Islam/Muslims/Middle East as this is the area/religion/community where the terrorists were traced to. I am sure if someone you loved, admired, or highly respected died as a result of 9/11, you would be quite outraged. Whether you choose to admit it or not, to a foreigner it is very EASY to become confused between a Sikh and a Muslim. Security has been enforced and heightened for the best welfare of Americans. I am not sure why you have a problem with being "temporarily detained" for security purposes. Isn't it your duty as a citizen/resident of the United States to do what is best for the county, only then can you expect something good for your individual self. " been arrested couple times for being a Sikh" Did they accuse you of being a Sikh..and then arrested you? The individual from UK mentioned: at least Kerry can debate. Well, debating, being outspoken can come to one naturally. Moreover, John Kerry was a lawyer so debating, being outspoken, more effective comes as a talent of his proffesion. However, by all means, that does not make Kerry a better leader over Bush. A lot of people talk the walk, and not walk the walk.. Oh yeah, on a side note: Please DO Vote for Bu$h and Fat $$ Old VP Cheney !! I am not born in Punja b, never lived there for more than six years, yet Punjab is a big part of my life in general..Oh wait..I shouldn't talk about it ..since I am totally clueless as I've never lived there more than six years.
  6. Yup, here is one of the many accounts: Michael Moore and Me!
  7. LOL Fahrenheit 9/11 was propaganda ...and contrary to popular belief, not a documentary!
  8. half the world thinks that, nothing new, its up2 us 2 teach ppl. well at least he knows now n its 1 less 2 make aware LOL, As sad as it sounds, half of the world doesn't even know about Sikhs.. :| It was really funny ..just within the last week or so..I did a paper on comparitive religions..and it happened to involve Sikhism.. So, I made this comment..it went something like this: Guru Nanak Dev Ji established Sikhism, which is now dubbed as the world's fifth largest religion. And the instructor....took a red pen.....and circled both Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Sikhism..and wrote on the side, YOU SURE? - Check your facts! I've never even heard of this religion.. LOL, and this is coming from an highly intellectual individual! Imagine the rest....
  9. Pretty please...Michael Moore..SHiAt!! ..Another Chapter!! @ :D @ @
  10. Bush opposes abortion except in cases of rape, incest or to save the mother’s life. Think about it for a second...Both hypothetically and theoretically - a life of a "future" child begins at the moment of conception. So, if we can terminate a pregnancy at say three months because it was "unwanted" ..is it lawful to "kill" a child at the age of three years because his mom/dad/or both do not want to raise/nurture the child anymore? Afterall, it should be lawful as it is only TIME that seperates the two incidents..!
  11. For all of youz to comperhend..!!
  12. Bijla Singh, You mention that Sikhi is prolife yet support a canditate who by all means is prochoice? Oh in regards to the banner, there are more presidential canditates running for the office...or are we just a little bit bias here.. Heheh, I love to start arguments
  13. Part of the pharmaceuticals :D ....you guessed it right! Bush - 4 more years baby!  )))) The day Kerry gets elected..Imma go file for a Chapter 11..LOL!
  14. I find it funny how people cannot stop blaming President Bush for the war in Iraq. Bush is the first to take up the challenge to stop killings of Americans (or in general of innocent lives).... Here are the facts: In 1979, Iran seized the American Embassy in Tehran. Then-President Carter planed a raid to secure the embassy. Results were a failure, which showed the world America's failure to deal with terrorism. April 1983, a vehicle packed with explosives entered the U.S. Embassy compound in Beirut, killing 63 people. Six months later, a truck with TNT smashed the main gate of the U.S. Marine Corps headquarters in Beirut, killing 241 soldiers. Two months later, a truck with explosives drove into the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait. Americans did nothing! In September 1984, a vehicle with explosives entered the U.S Embassy in Beirut. Again, America did nothing. April 1985, a bomb explodes in Madrid killing U.S. soldiers. August 1985, a car loaded with explosives drove into the main gate ate Rhein-Main, a U.S. Air Force Base killing 22 Americans. Two months later, an American in a wheel-chair aboard the Achille Lauro was executed by terrorists. April 1986, terrorist blew up a bomb on TWA Flight 840, killing four. 1988: Pan Am Flight 103 over Scotland killed 259. DId America do anything? No! Terrorists brought their fight to America. January 1993, two CIA agents are killed as they enter their headquarters in Langley, Va. February 1993, six people are killed and more than 1,000 are injured at the World Trade Center in New York by a van packed with explosives. November 1995, a bomb exp lodes at a U.S military complex in Riyadh killing seven servicemen. June 1996, a bomb at a U.S. military compound in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, kills 19 and injures 500 at a military barracks. Then the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania are attacked, killing 224. October 2000, the USS Cole is attacked killing 17 U.S. sailors. And then September 11, 2001. How many Americans will be killed before we wake up that there is a real war out there..It seems as if World War III began in 1978. Bush in 2004!.
  15. Pheena, Thanks for the response..it is from a neutral point of view..I am not taking sides on any of the religions.. Simran9, Wow..thanks..could you provide the link to your previous thread (It would be very helpful).. Let's say I've got till about Saturday... -Is it a common published book? If so, I might have access to it at the public library. -However, if it is one of those rare ones in your collection..it would be highly appreciated..whatever you could do on your part.. Thanks!
  16. Hi Y'all..Hope all is well for you.. I am done with my education.., but I am going out of my way to gain a few more credentials..So, I need your help.. I have to give a formal speech in regards to Religion. The catch to this is ..that it is one of those comparative religion things where I need to compare: Islam (Muhammad) , Christianity (Jesus Christ), and Sikhism (Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji).. In this speech, I need to talk about specific similarities and differences between the various teachers and the religions themself. The similarities can vary from physical features, moral ideas, family background, followers (disciples), sequence of life events, age, birthdate, parents, and anything else (this can apply to the differences as well)..... ..and questions to keep in mind are (..this is what I need to address or get to..).. #1 Could these religious figures be the same "person" phyiscally? Ideologically? #2 Could these religious figures be different yet have the same ideologcal views? I will need to set up my audience..so that they can provide their opinions based on the two questions above. I know many have you done comparative stuff for your religions class before..if anyone of you have your papers...please send them my way.. ( Religion is not my thinggg of specialty)..LOL...So, hopefully all ya's will help me through it.. Just add about anything that pretains to this topic.. :TH: :TH: Thanks in advance..

  18. I hate Democrats, stupid liberals.. :D
  19. I am thinking - maybe its pre-set ..and he just sets it on his head. Also, I am assuming there is some sort of support inside the 'dastaar' as his "juddha" his probably not that large. Imagine - how uncomfortable it would be to sleep in one that large.. ^^^This one is so wicked ..yet so neat..and awesome :e:
  20. I am sure they'd ship the DVD worldwide...perhaps a little extra shipping and handling. But- in the meanwhile - you might want to try the number. The regular "procedures of calling outside of your country" will apply ..with US' country code being 1.
  21. Nihang Major Singh to be precise..and he is the Singh with the really large dastaaar... :D Takes like 100+ meters to tie it - I believe...and also I think he set a world record recently.
  22. As stated, I am curious to know why these Sikhs are standing in front of a " Jaii Hindd Balak Sena" Banner. Thank you in advance.
  23. The contact number for the coach is given earlier in the thread...After page 5 I believe
