WJKK WJKF :lol: haha soo true!! its been 10 days here in brampton and i m living in a house whose owner is punjabi. so one day ..i was having dinner.. and aunty came to me and asked "beta, teri got ki hai?" (whts ure caste) and my reaction was :umm: @ ... really,she also got shocked when i reacted like this, becoz its normal for them to ask such a question, then her mother came and said to me that she meant whts ure jaat... like they r jatts, their son is married to sandhus, etc etc.. now i was getting very confused,, i told them . i have no knowledge and i m a sikh thats all i know! then she told that ure last name is Sikka , isnt it? she knows my family little bit, though i never say my name as Prateek Sikka,,, well I told her yes! so her mom told me that I am a Ramgarhia! :umm: i just wanted to get out of there. i said , it doesnt make a difference if i am a ramgarhia or jatt or khatri,, i will still be the SAME!! i dont beleive in this. then aunty told me u r just 20, i can understand , but u shld know ure lineage!! i said i dont care, however i still beleive i m a sikh and my lineage is frm guru nanak ji. i said this little rudely lol.. i guess aunty must have felt bad,,, i didnt want to hurt her.. becoz she prepares food for me... lol !! well, whtever, these ppl r like in b/w sikhi and hinduism, in their home they have our guru's pic along with krishna's idols. strange strange!!

ok ji... it was a wonderful nite... i really enjoyed it!! i dunno how many of u have noticed me thre!! but, i still felt little alone .. i felt like i m not part of ure community... well in one sense its true cuz i m not amritdhari yet... but everyone (especially the youth) used to talk with other amritdhaaris... i know u all know each other well..maybe u all go in same univ... but still i made no frend .... if i greet them only then they wud greet... like they had no notice for me.... it was only couple of uncles thatasked me ..whre i m frm etc etc.. so i felt like if only i was amritdhaari and raised in canada... then only i wud have been noticed!! but still that was a very josh waali nite.. i even did simran in the bus frm dixie with few others ... i m now waiting for akhand jaap!!

it's the uniform given by our guru to enter the school of Waheguru! with this uniform ..u can attend HIS class and u will face HIS tests (i mean the challenges in day-to-day life).. if u still remember HIM during difficulties ... u r passed!! now to be in school... u have to also obey the discipline of school given by the principal (Waheguru) and instructed thru our gurus on the form of Rehat!! and this school's timings r 24hrs..7 days of week :TH:

WJKK WJKF i got a job as a co-op student in HydroOne-Toronto dwntwn! i m living in brampton and as u sangat know that i m a student in memorial university of newfoundland, i know no one here!! though time gets passed during weekdays becoz of work and travelling but in weekends i feel alone. its been 2 weeks here!! i went to dixie gurughar last saturday... really enjoyed and saw posters abt 84 week.. ! well i m here for 2 months... i think it will be fun to have frends frm this forum!! i will try to go for the 84 week ..i guess its in rexdale gurudwara... no idea how to go to york! umm.. anywys i m living in 26 Snowcap rd. near mountainberry/mountainash intersection.. phone#(pm me) wanna meet u chardikalaa sikhs!! well my lunch time is over...gonna get to work now! :T: **just to add.. i m the only sardar with pugg in the whole building...though thre r many punjabis...ya..i surely look distinct!! anywys during my 2 weeks working in toronto dwntwn.. i have only seen 2 sikhs (i mean with pugg) compared to brampton..its negligible!!

WJKK WJKF i m glad to be in touch with such a chardikalaa sangat!!! okok...i m weak in catching hardcore punjabi,.... so who can help me by figuring out wht r the boliyas said by bhai charanjeet singh ji and others in volI and II.... i can barely make out wht he says in vol II i know its bit time consuming....but i dont care!! :e: *********self edit********* i found that most of the boliyan is frm the video "tribute to bhai charanjeet singh ji"!!... so i wud like to know the boliyan frm that video!!!

well ...Gandhi was hard on sikhs becoz of no knowledge ..no need to tell more abt him..u know it all... but one thing i found abt him and liked to share some of his thoughts..... Seven social sins * Politics without Principle ( haha... guru hargobind ji .. told us well early) * Wealth without Work (one of the main philosophy of guru nanak ji's -- kirat karni ) * Pleasure without Conscience (guru ji told us to avoid kaam, moh and maya) * Knowledge without Character (haah...all our gurus insisted as to have worldly knowledge but that too in accordance to sikhi) * Commerce without morality (guru ji warned us ......example... our guru even helped mughals from tme to time..like dara shikoh bahadur shah zafar...but all was done as a moral respect to humanity) * Science without humanity (well..i want u guys to tell me abt this sin according to sikhi) * Worship without Sacrifice (hahahaha.....gandhi is telling now....sikhi is present today only due to sacrifices...and not even sikhi but hindus too....) ----Mahatma Gandhi ("Young India") hmmm...now i wonder y ppl still say gandhi was mahatma....haah if they had studied sikhi....there wud have been no gandhi...and india wud have been free well b4 .....and hindustan wud have been khalistan!!!!!!
