WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH One day, one friend asked another, "How is it that you are always so happy? You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down." With her eyes smiling, she said, "I know the Secret!" "What secret is that?" To which she replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the Secret with others." "The Secret is this: I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs. When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches. I have learned most of the time I don't need half of wh…

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh We often wish for more, without realizing that life's most precious treasures, are often within the palms of our hands. It is not success, but rather the journey there, that often makes our lives complete. We are most at peace with the world, when we accept the wonderful and amazing creature. . .that is. . .ourselves. When we give our all TODAY; and look forward to giving tomorrow the same, then there is no reason for regretting our yesterdays. Despise not the past, for in it lies the wisdom of today, and the hope of tomorrow. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart. Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, "Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine." The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it had plac…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God: "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God replied, "Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you." "But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy." "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy." "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the lan…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH On a positive note I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life. I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life." I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on bot…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH The sakhi of this great Sikh woman starts from the very day of her marriage. She was born in a Hindu family in the Pathan country on the west of the Punjab. The area was under the Sikh Raj and ruled by General Hari Singh Nalwa. After a happy marriage, she was going along with her groom and the marriage party to the village of her in-laws. On their way, dacoits ambushed them. Waving their arms, the dacoits ordered all the people to surrender their cash and valuables. The helpless party gave everything to the robbers to save their lives. The dacoits, however, also demanded the newly married bride and took her with them. …

In the old days the beating of a Nagaara sumbolized the sovereignty of a ruler. At the time of assuming the governorship of Kaabul, prince Muazzim (later emperor Bahadur Shah) ordered the beating of Nagaara. When his father, emporor Aurangzeb heard this news, he wrote to Muazzim, "When Allah bestows upon you the crown of an emperor, you can beat the Nagaara; until than, however, you should be contented on beating 4 smaller drums. The same emperir Aurangzeb had written to the governor of Sirhand that he should take strong (military) action Guru Gobind Singh if he does not stop sitting on a throne in his congregation and beating the Nagaara. The tradition of beating of …

No word synonymous to "Panth exists in a Hindu dictionary or a Muslim Encyclopedia or in any other dictionary. The Hindu thought has been confined to sects and denominations while Muslims have not been able to go beyond their restricted and exclusionary brotherhood (Millat). The Europeans, on the ohter hand cannot think anything beyond their 'superior' race. Panth includes those who have moulded their life according to the directions of the Gurus and are always ready to sacrifice self for these ideals. They have neither prejudices of sects and denominations nor arragance of race. Only through forsaking the arrogance of profession, lofty claims of superior actions, rac…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Sakhi 1 Once, a Sikh made a request before the Guru Ji, "O true King! I am grieved by the world. Eliminate the pain of birth and death. Save me from sins. I am in your protection. I am illiterate". Guru Ji said, "Brother Sikh! You are blessed that you became detached (from the world). An fool cannot get sense without education. One should get education. An uneducated person cannot understand anything. The God meets him, whose pronunciation of 'Bani' is perfect. Brother! Do study. Guru Ji asked the 'Granthi' to teach that Sikh with love. The 'Granthi' started to teach him. While teaching, he taught him this line of Anand Sah…
