Should I Tell About The Call?
by Guest Cali- 0 replies
I have a tough question. I am a sevadar at a Sikh institution, and recieved a call from someone who has recently quit their duties. She gave me some info about the institution and some duties that need to be fulfilled. Then she said, don't tell anyone that i talked to you about this. Now i'm confused. If i stay quiet, and she tells someone else that she talked to me, then they will think i am upto something weird behind their backs. I don't want other members to become suspicious of me (for no reason at all). I jsut don't want them to find out she called me, and told me all this info, and i just stayed quiet (because they might think i am upto something suspicio…

I have a job interview, I'm not like everyone else I have a shy side especially around people I don't know and I fear that this will let me down, somtimes if I'm put under pressure my words don't come out. Since I found out about the interview I have been having nightmares about it and can't sleep properly. Does anyone know what to do and what not to do. Thanks Waheguru ji ka Khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh!

Life Is Precious

This is a plea to all those who think about taking their lives. Especially men who aren't as vocal as women. Seek help or atleast find someone to talk to, there are endless lines of help out there our utmost being guru granth sahib ji. Moving on, reflecting upon recent events... Without naming names/areas I saw a sikh uncle in hospital who has severe burns to all his head, face and shoulders he set himself alight via setting his pagh on fire, most likely due to depression. I still can't get my head around the image I saw as it plays on your mind. But rest assured I've kept him in my prayers. What more can you do? I hope he finds the strength to recover and realise that…

clothes in Gurdwara
by Guest guest- 0 replies

In my view it is wrong to wear leggigns, skin tight jeans and short tops, low neck to the gurdvara. When i had this conversation before, thet argue that Sinhgs shouldn't wear western clothing wither but i do not agree with that. It is okay if a Sing does but girls seriously shold wear loose-ish clothes that do not reveal.
