Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Speaking on behalf of the Akaal Organisation in conjuction with Sikh Soldier Forum. I would like to ask the sangat for some help. We require some volunteers aged 15-30 who would like to take part in a small drama that will be played LIVE at the Vasaikhi Birmingham (Mela). Everybody is welcome, there is no criteria of people we are looking for so i reiterate everybody is welcome! As there will be rehersals every week (possibly weekends) i do recommend people from the midlands to come forward as it will be easier for them to travel, however if you feel you have no problem in travelling and coming to the midlands every week pleas…

The Art Of Gatka-fighting By K.s. Akali

http://www.lulu.com/content/597512 In 1936 K.S. Akali, the Physical Director of his college, published a book on the then little known to Western Society Martial Art from India known as Gatka. Boasting 19 photographs and illustrations, K.S. Akali's book offers over 60 pages of instruction on footwork, handling, and use of "the Gatka." This instruction, considered training for the sword, offers a unique perspective into not only the Martial Arts of India, but also the efforts to include "scientific" physical education of the time. The emphasis of K.S. Akali's book is on the sporting aspect of the Art which is similar to Japanese Kendo or English Singlestick. he…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki fateh. Out of so many worthy Gurmukhs, Guru ji chose Bhai Lehna Ji to be GURU ANGAD Ji...Bhai Buddha Ji had been known to to Guru Nnak Ji from the age of 5, and he was in the service of the Sikh Gurus until the Sixth Guru.... that means Baba Buddha Ji "missed" Five chances of being chosen "Guru"..at some stage he was even older than the Gurus he was annointing.. But precisely because the Brahmgianis of that Time knew their own worth, not one consented or was called so by other Gurmukhs...unlike today where there is now a race to invent super duper titles to distinguish ones self from other brahmgianais.. A SIKH is duty bound to rely …
