vjkk vkjf! Das wants to learn how to use an amrit kirtan pothi. When in sangat, I normally rely on sikhitothemax and on a projector to know for sure what to sing. But without the projector I'm lost b/c there's no search by first letter function on a pothi So my question is how do I use the index in an amrit kirtan pothi to find the shabad I want to read? For example, If I'm looking for the shabad Gun kirat nidh mori what do I do?

waheguru jee ka khalsa waheguru jee ki fateh! an ex member of the kalgidhar gurdwara on chapeltown road leeds was asked to leave the gurdwara due to the fact that he was no longer a member, i.e he wasnt not paying for the priviledge. this is the same gurdwara which was discussed extensively previously on this forum for their ridiculous rules: i am just saddened to see gurughars reduced to squabbling over money and politics which has nothing to do whatsoever with sikhi, rather family feuds. My dad's side of family had a fight with someone else.. but they named us , me mom dad brother also in the fight. they said a lot of things i cant repeat now about us. But they never said the things in our face. When i saw them after their fight i was so angry and i didnt talk to them. Then they said why dont u talk 2 us we never could say anything about u. A question for the sangat : Why is it that at youth kirtan darbars and smagams its not just youth doing kirtan ? it is older people as well. This is what really annoys me. i.e with reference to bradford smagam, jaspal singh, manjit singh, jasbir singh etc how is this fair? Shouldnt it just be youth as they only have one (akj) smagam a year to do kirtan at.

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
