  1. Kara is no problem, you can just put it tight on your arm, by pushing it towards your shoulders, but in cases of tournaments, like I use to have b-ball tournaments, where i had to take my kara off, I just took it off to put it in my pocket, that's no big deal! But as long as you're not taking it off to do bad stuff its ok :D Because its like a reminder, to not use your hands for bad purposes.
  2. NO MATTER WHAT, YOU SHOULDN'T CUT YOUR DHARI!!!!!!!!!! I give those bibian respect who let their hair grow on their chins, and don't think twice about what others are going to think. Hair is god's gift, to a singh it shouldn't matter, why should we mold it, or change it as we see fit, leave it as your guru sees fit. This is maya working on us again, remember... 'MAYA' is very powerful, indeed has power over all of us, its just the chosen ones, that get out of its trap and conquer it by making it their pet. Sants, mahapurkhs control this maya. I understand sometimes you have to tie your dhari maybe for a function, job interview, and such, but it doesn't mean you should keep your dhari tied up all the time. My two cents...bhul chuk maaf!
  3. Veerjio Yea I get the same thing, some say its ok, some say no its wrong, and its as bad as getting pesh again from the panj pyaray. I look at it this way, AMRIT shouldn't refrain you from anything, it should set your soul free, and make yourself free from doing anything you want, at the same time having your kakaar, with you always. Some goto an extent where they say when taking off your shirt you should have a small kirpan on your body, instead of right beside you. :D I don't know :D
  4. Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh!! Veero/Bhaino Just wonderin is taking off your kakaar during shower or sleeping a kurait, and do you have to get pesh for it?? Also what are some solutions to keeping your kirpan/kangha on while taking a shower? Bhul chuk bakhsnee!! Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh!!
  5. WOW!!!! That was amazing Singh! Great inspiration..
  6. lol Thanks for recommending Raz, now I will listen for sure! lol :D
  7. Yea, the first time I saw that pic I was amazed!!! I know there's alot going on up there, in other worlds, we just don't have the bhagti to see it like some mahapurkhs!!!
  8. Now...that makes sense!!!!!!!!
  9. sikhforlife calm down buddy I had to delete your post, because it was waaaaaay out of context You said that you heard from some Gursikhs that you shouldn't respect a piece of paper with Gurbani on it, that is foolish no matter how big of a sant or gursikh you are, whoever tells you that is a FOOL. You are entitled to your opinion, but there's always a right or wrong answer to every question. I understand your view that its just paper, and its the words that we should keep in our heart. But this is not just any piece of writing, that someone just picked up a kalam(pen) and started to write what came to mind. These words are of Waheguru himself, and if we can't respect his bachan then we are fools ourselves. It is physical proof!!!!!!!! We must respect it or else get :g lol jk Cheer up bro, there's no need to hate. WJKK WJKFateh!~
  10. Wahegurooooooo!! That's amazing! I guess people who are scared or have fear of death think about what will happen to them. Manmukhs like me, and people who are afraid to die, worry about what will happen to them. Gurmukhs don't have to worry about life after death, they already know Guruji has their hands in his, and will guide you along the way. One who has a true Guru, or a true teacher/preacher doesn't have to worry about the afterlife, God takes their accounts in his court!!

  12. Yea I agree, some people value society more than religion. There should be a balance between the two indefinately. Guru Nanak Dev ji already told us to live in a grist jeevan (social/family life) and also remember Waheguru with each and every breath, because your life is very priceless.
  13. ms514 WJKK WJKFateh Bro Its not right to put Gurbani in the newspapers, because people step on papers, I know in the winter we use to put the papers in our car, so the mats won't get dirty with muddy shoes, now if on that paper, it was Gurbani, that would be very disrespectful. Stepping on gurbani, putting gurbani on the floor, is all disrespect to the Guru's word. Its just common sense, whoever doesn't understand the concept behind it and considers is just a "piece of paper", is a fool! B) WJKK WJKFateh!

  15. LOL, it was some guy, I just didn't want to say it directly, I gave soo many hints, but he was so besharam!! LOL :D )
  16. We listen to music to make ourself feel good, relaxed, sometimes get so into it and love the beats that are going. Well our Guruji says, that make simran your music, make gurbani your beats, and get into it with all your heart, and you shall have the 9 treasures of the world. Gurbani is sooo precious, also this mind is such a wanderer, full of soo much filth that the only way we can make it clean is by listening to Guru's shabad, trust me, most people on this board listen to or have listened to music, but after you get the love of Gurbani, you take music as just an attachment or 'moh'. I listen to music once in a while, for the beats, or for the music itself, as everyone's sayin try to stay away from bad lyrics!!
  17. Not for Canada tho! :D @ Damn telemarketers, the longest I've been on the phone with one is about 1 hour for a survey!!
  18. Well personally first when I read it i'm like :oo: that makes sense, with satjug and everything. But then I don't know it sounds like a fiction story. Like I agree with Gabroo Khalistan Daa, khalsa is doing nothing bad, but also nothing good at the moment, as a whole. I guess if a leader emerges within Sikhi, then maybe we can progress, and that's all upto the almighty-Waheguru!!
  19. Well, in SGGS, sex is kaam, which is like the main category, for sexual thoughts, sexual acts, pleasure, etc. It all falls under the word 'kaam', I will provide quotes where our Guruji talks about kaam. If you want to search any quotes in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, visit http://www.sikhitothemax.com and search for anything!! PLEASURE IS SUCH A BROAD CATEGORY. Everything we do is for our pleasure. You can search for pleasure there as well! This is a good one! avur muruth maaeiaa mun tholae tho bhug mukh junum vigoeiaa ||3|| When others die, you measure your own wealth in your mind; you waste your life in the pleasures of the mouth and sexual organs. ||3|| kaam krodhh than vusehi chu(n)ddaal || Unfulfilled sexual desire and unresolved anger dwell in my body, like the outcasts who cremate the dead. Guru Nanak Dev Ji Siree Raag sun sun kaam gehaeleeeae kiaa chulehi baah luddaae || Listen, listen, O soul-bride: you are overtaken by sexual desire-why do you walk like that, swinging your arms in joy? Guru Amar Daas Ji Siree Raag kaam krodhh madh biaapiaa fir fir jonee paae ||2|| Engrossed in the intoxication of se xual desire and anger, people wander through reincarnation over and over again. ||2|| Guru Arjan Dev Ji Siree Raag
  20. WJKK WJKFATEH! lol @ Bibi Singh sahb gave an excellent response to her "theory". Re: Conversion to Islam I agree with Bhaji Deep Singh, that no matter what road you feel good following it leads to one God. But Waheguru is not senseless, he knows all, so if he gave you life in such a precious religion, why convert? Everyone is born into a different religion, hence they all have separate ways, but to one destination. There must be a reason behind it. He also gave you freewill to choose your own destiny, so whatever path you choose, as long as you have love and devotion to Waheguru, you will prosper. Waheguroooooo, some people have all the wealth in their pockets, yet they don't see it, take it as mere rocks and throw it away, and then run after stones, and pebbels! Bhul chuk maaf! WJKK WJKFATEH!
  21. THAT WAS REALLY AWESOME VEER!!! Our warrior princesses fought like such soldiers, and truely raised the heads for SIKHS!!! AWESOME!!! :g :g :g
