  1. Jaspaul, my brother..... Surely women can whoop your butt in hockey :TH:
  2. Yes, I miss you too Jaspaul.... and your dramatic goalie saves.
  3. Hello, If I was not in Australia I would have definately joined this awesome event. It sounds like fun!! Good luck... For you hockey players out there, Daas n Daas has no skill whatsoever as a goalie. His tricks include throwing his arms and legs in the air pretending to save a shot and secretly moving the net. I have more of his tricks to share, but I shall save those for another time. - Sunny
  4. Great article!! It was a great read. I know Jaspaul in real life and he is a great individual. He deserved to be Youth of the Month!! He forgot to thank me for driving him to Taco Bell on countless nights during raging snow storms. Go Jas Go!
  5. Either way, guilty or not guilty *hit is going to hit the fan.
  6. I would like to add desi scams as a major industry in Punjab.
  7. I would just like to add my 2 cents Canadian, which is rougly 0.12121213415 rupees using currency conversion rates. BOllywood is the scum of the world. They rarely produce a movie that is worth watching and has deeper meaning. I particularily liked Hawayeein because it showed the atrocities carried out against the Sikh people. Other than that, Bollywood DVD's (and all pirated copies) should be fed to the cows on my pind.
  8. Sony!!! Long time no talk. How have you been? Sorry to hear you are feeling down. Keep your chin up and think happy thoughts.
  9. .. it's MTV guys, come on...nobody looks to MTV for their cues on Sikhism. I haven't tuned into MTV for ages. What is this show "Fab 40"?
  10. Thank you everyone! I appreciate your kind words.
  11. Hello all, when I first heard about this issue, I did not know about this .. "It is also pertinent to point out another fact that has been consistently underreported; namely that Sikhs had protested peacefully on a number of occasions throughout the week and that the Birmingham Sikh Community were not asking for the play to be banned but for some changes regarding the setting of the play" The above quote has completely changed my view of this issue. Originally I was dissappointead at the Sikh community over there, having read from the news that Sikhs engaged in violent acts and threatened the life of the individual who created this controversial play. However, I personally am not offended by what this play portrays. It is simply a play, a piece of artistic work that someone wishes to get across to an audience. It will not impact our daily lives as Sikhs, it will not diminish our religion or affect it in any way whatsoever. Sikhi will continue to thrive and grow, even if this play is shown to a live audience. At the same I share the general attitude against this play - it's dispicable. Fateh, - Sunny
  12. Straight up, the girl needs to stand up against her parents and say she has found a potential match. The boy needs to meet her parents. I'm pretty sure once the parents meet this individual they will set aside their beliefs about caste. Even the most hard-headed parents can be swayed by the greatness of a single person....I've seen this happen. All this talk ab out "love" and the guy being "the one" will not be understood by the girl's parents. The guy needs to sit down with them and explain to them his intentions and why he should be the one to marry this girl. If this guy is not a bum and is academically inclined with a clear picture of what he wants to do in life, then maybe that will be enough for the parents... We need to face the realities of how Indian parents think. Saying "I love this girl" is a load of . He needs to show the parents that he's worthy. Obviously the major obstacle in this dilemma is the caste issue, but that can be overcome. - Sunny
  13. Congratulations!!!! Let us celebrate with the most delicious gulab jamuns.
  14. Hi there! Yea I'll be at UWS, staying on Penrith Campus.. where you at and what are you studying? Where you from originally? I'm kind of 'not' looking forward to it, because I'll miss home! Thanks for the heads up about the hustle and bustle of Sydney. - Sunny
  15. Fatehhhhhh.. I met some really cool Singhs at University these past few years and established very close relationships.. but I am leaving in December .. any members here from Sydney? Anyone know of some gurdwara's in the Sydney area? I will be attending the University of Western Sydney for one and a half years. - Sunny
  16. Daas n Daas's picture was removed because too many females from Sikhmatrimonials.com were asking me if he was available for marriage.
  17. Hence, "Though it had to be done to prevent her from enacting other policies and carrying out more of her personal crusades against the Sikhs."
  18. Indira Ghandi was different. She was murdering our people. But... Killing her resulted in what? More atrocities by the Hindu population. Though it had to be done to prevent her from enacting other policies and carrying out more of her personal crusades against the Sikhs.
