1. Why I think it is.... By the way Paneet Singh, isn't that you in the beginning of the video? hmmmmmm.... :e:
2. Speaking of analogies... PLEASE?? ANYONE?? Is there no one who is willing to do khoj/veechar on what Bhagat Kabeer Ji has to say?
3. Waheguru Ji ka khalsa Waheguru Ji ki fateh I think this is a good discussion, believe it or not. Really informative. And you guys have had a lot of different views and alot to say... all of which I think is really interesting. But I want to know what my Guru Ji has to say about this topic, specifically about simran, in this shabad: har ka bilovunah bilovo meray bhaee || sehaj bilovo jasay tuth na jaaee || Can we please do veechar on this bachan by Bhagat Kabeer Ji? Specifically on the metaphor used in the second line: SEHAJ BILOVO JASAY TUTH NA JAAEE. We all understand the literal meaning of this, and have heard it many times in keertan and kathaa. Its quite deep, and the metaphor is of a traditional means of churning butter by hand. If needed, please ask someone more knowledgeable who knows exactly what this process of churning butter was, to completely understand what Bhagat Kabeer Ji is saying here. (That's what I had to do, and I'm still only BEGINNING to understand) I don't know if it was brought up earlier in this thread; I couldn't find it. I believe its important to do veechar on this, and would really like to hear your thoughts on this. Personally, I think its completely relevant to this discussion. bhul chuk maaf. Waheguru Ji ka khalsa Waheguru Ji ki fateh
4. Enough said. Thank you veerji. Bhai Charanjit Singh Ji didn't put use a cloth to protect his own mouth; it was to protect/respect the shastar.
5. Please don't speculate anything pyaario. Yes its important to have a kirpan in this day and age, as its Guru Ji's hukam and I'm sure that he DID have a kirpan on him as even the newspapers described this young singh as "a baptized sikh". But it is also Guru Ji's hukam as to when your kirpan is supposed to be put into use. Guru Gobind Singh Ji aap hee kirpa karday hun. This happening is also Guru Ji's hukam. Please don't assume that he didn't have a kirpan just because there was no mention of it, or because he didn't use it. bhul chuk maaf. 100814 If I cannot use kirpan to protect me then how am suppose to protect helpless person...We are acting in the orders of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji to carry and protect ourselves and any helpless or opressed individuals. LAW say anything done in self protection is not crime. So whats your point? Singh ji.... 100829 Singh Ji, I'm sorry if I caused any misunderstanding. I'm not questioning if the use of a kirpan in this type of a situation is right or wrong. Not at all. I was merely replying to the message posted earlier. All I wanted to say was that its not fair to assume that he didn't even have a kirpan just because he didn't use it. The rest is Guru Sahib Ji's hukam.

8. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Great images piyaario. Here is a wallpaper that a young singh I know made a while ago. He's too modest to put it up himself, so I thought I would do it for him. :e: :e: :e:
9. thank you singh, I will ask around for Onkar Singh's contact. If anyone knows how I can get a hold of him, could you please let me know? I was hoping that someone might know of sikhs in Italy that I could contact directly when I'm there, so that I could get directions to the gurdwara sahib. I've tried looking up the locations of the gurdwaras myself, on maps, but to no avail. Any help at all would be appreciated.
10. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Piyaario, I'm going on a school trip to Italy and I'll be there for the next 6 weeks. I'm just wondering if any of you know of sangath in Italy, and if there is any way that I could possibly get in contact with them. I would really like to go to the gurdwara sahib there. 6 weeks is too long of a time without sangath, and I'm hoping that I can meet some sikhs there, as it is my first trip to a european country. It would be great to get in touch with singhs there! Any tips, contacts... anything, would be great. Thanks. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
11. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Thank you Gurjeet Kaur. As far as Sukhjinder Singh and Teghbir Singh are concerned, they are physically pretty good. As bhenji said, they were participating at the gatka demonstration on the weekend. Sukhjinder Singh has a broken finger and Teghbir Singh has a pretty sore left shoulder, which in fact was bugging him quite a bit during the gatka demo. Gagandeep Singh was at the antum sanskaar on the weekend, and looked well. He is still healing from the broken collar bone and has problems moving his arm because of that injury. But with Waheguru Ji's kirpa, he is back on his feet and will be fine. However, Mundeep Singh is still at Foothill Hospital in Calgary healing from his leg injuries. He is also suffering from a mild concussion, but I dont know too much about that. From the information that I have received from singhs that visited him at the hospital, the doctors said that his legs will take upto 6 months to fully heal. Guru Rakha. Sundeep Singh, his older brother, who was also in the accident, is doing well and is supporting Mundeep Singh at his bedside. If anyone knows anything else please let us know Lets all continue to do ardaas for these young singhs, and hope they has a quick and painless recovery. The rest is up to Waheguru. myrw bYdu gurU goivMdw ] My physician is the Guru, the Lord of the Universe.
12. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! From what I have heard, the slideshow will be put up on the net by tomorrow morning for sure. Keep checking Guru Nanak Academy and Gurmat Studies because that is where it will appear first.
13. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! khalsa jee, It's great to see the love that is being expressed for Parminder Singh Bhaji, Charanjit Singh Bhaji, and Rena Kaur Bhenji. Every post that I have read so far has made me feel better, and I'm sure it is helping others as well, to see the positive that will come from this happening and bring out the beauty of Guru Sahib Jee's hukam. It's important for all of us to recognize how amazing these gursikhs were. Their loss will always be felt. However, it is equally important to also concentrate on the well-being of the other singhs that are still suffering from this accident. I have noticed that there hasn't been much said about them in this thread. If I have missed it, I apologize. But we need to continuously keep doing ardaas for Gagandeep Singh, Mundeep Singh, Sundeep Singh, Sukhjinder Singh, and Teghbir Singh. Of the 5 singhs, 2 are still at Foothill Hospital in Calgary recovering from serious injuries: Gagandeep Singh and Mundeep Singh. Sukhjinder Singh, who was also injured quite seriously has been discharged from the hospital and will be coming back home soon. Teghbir Singh has already returned, and as strong as he is being, he witnessed the devastating accident from start to finish, and only Waheguru knows what is going through his head right now. Teghbir Singh saw with his own eyes, the still bodies of Parminder Singh, Charanjit Singh, Rena Kaur laying absolutely still along the roadside at the scene of the accident. He deserves our help. Here is a li st of these singhs' injuries, as per what I have gathered so far: Gagandeep Singh - injuries to vertebrae in his neck; - broken collarbone; - broken shoulder-blade; - barely able to walk because of the pain. Mundeep Singh - femur bone (which is the bone from the hip to the knee in the upper-leg) shattered in BOTH legs. - required surgery to re-construct the femur bone with the use of metal rods which were placed in his legs. - On continuous medication such as morphene to control the excruciating pain. Sukjinder Singh - bruised kindneys/lungs - broken wrist Sangath Jee, these young singhs have their entire lives ahead of them. Please do ardaas for them so that they can fully recover from these injuries with Guru Jee's kirpa, and return to their regular day to day activites, . Mundeep Singh is only 12 years old. Alongside these bodily injuries, they are also very disturbed emotionally, having gone through such an ordeal. Not to mention having to deal with the loss of Parminder Singh, Charanjit Singh and Rena Kaur. It is just too much for them. I humbly ask you all to continue to include them in your ardaas and wish for their well being. They are young. Too young and too innocent to have to fight this battle on their own. Let us all help give them strength by doing ardaas for them. If anyone has any more information about their conditions, please post it up. I'm sure everyone wants to know how these singhs are doing. Sorry if I rambled on in this post, I just feel it is equally important to keep these singhs in our thoughts, while we continue to remember the 3 gursikhs that have left us and are now sitting in the lap of their beloved Pithaa Jee. bhul chuk maaf karnee jee. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
14. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! khalse jee, Currently, there is a total of 3 mp3 files of Rena Kaur Bhenji's beautiful keertan online. Most of you have probably already come across them; for those of you who haven't, you can find them at www.kirtanfiles.com. As a request from the website moderators, please download the files to your computer, instead of playing directly from the site, so that everyone can benefit from Bhenji's amazing skill. (Right-click/Save Target As...) Rena Kaur Bhenji's Sohilla Sahib is incredibly beautiful. Even the words "incredible" and "beautiful" dont do justice to Rena Kaur Bhenji's ability to instantly fill her surroundings with LOVE. It is beyond words. Please try to listen to it with as much piyaar and concentration as Rena Kaur Bhenji had when she sang Guru Sahib Jee's sweet bani. And Guru Piyaario, please do ardaas for the other singhs that are still recovering at the Calgary hospital. They are suffering from severe bodily injuries which will take some time to heal. Guru Mehar Karan. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
