ak-47, what your saying is true and i agree with it. i have been trying to say this to the singhs, but no-one really listens. may be cos i aint got a chardikala jeevan myself. there are singhs who live away from sangat and would like to sangat with other singhs. however what i have seen is the singhs who have other singhs around them take that sangat for granted. so they stop doing sat sangat and start doing ku-sangat. i have noticed this in the midlands quiet alot. instead of watching films and talking rubbish when the singhs get together, do some simran, paath, kirtan or gurmat veechar. listen to katha. make the most of the sangat. ak-47 i tried discussing this with you before aswell. but im glad you are now doing this veechar. i have seen it myself. singhs end up watching films or end up "chilling" as singh have said this to me ....this aint right. this aint sat-sangat....my benti to the midlands singhs especially is that dont take the sangat for granted...i have been throught this when i used to live in the birmingham area...make the most of the sangat that you have...theres alot of potential in the midlands around bham ends. use that potential for the chardikala of the panth

I would prefer it for the clasical Raag Kirtan. Also do you think the Dilruba or the Sarangi is better/ more suitable for Raag Kirtan? sarangi sounds alot better in my opinion. however dilruba is easier to play. both cost around the same. best to go to india to get ur saaj

it depends what kind of sarangi you want....do u want it for classical raag kirtan or for dhadi? classical raag kirtan sarangai and dhadi sarangi are slightly different, ie the 3 main strings and placed in different positions depending if its for dhadi or raag kirtan....also dhadi sarangi comes 2 sizes: a tota (small) and dhaee palsee (bigger same size as a classical raag kirtan sarangi)
