    Chakras

This is like saying Electricity is Christian and the Theory of Relativity is Jewish. The Wheel is not Chinese just as Chakras are not Hindu. The discovery was made by the Yogis and the Rishi's who lived in a civilization called Hindus. Yes it is true, that you don't need to know the details of what Chakras are, but you cannot disregard their influence. First define Naam for me please. Without understanding Naam, how can we conclude that it has not relation to Chakras. The paths of different type of Bhagtis will lead you through different means, but what people forget is that these different paths criss-cross each other at various points. If you choose the path of Yoga, you will meet at the intersection of Prem Bhagti on your journey. You will have to travel through it. You cannot avoid this Love for yourself and the creation. The intersection of these paths are bound to transform your journey. The path of Love or Simran or Devotional Bhagti is bound to give you the experiences of the Yogis. You cannot avoid them, you can certainly rename them or redefine them, but that does not change the experience. Was the compassion of Buddha different from the compassion of Guru Gobind Singh? ok alot of things you sed were misunderstood.. i didnt say the chakar thing is wrong, its just another anology. but, people just concentrate on this too much. and the question you posed to me of, what is naam, is actualy a sily one! it cant be described! :S and yes, ther are lots of ways to get to god! and i am not anyone to denounce a way to god!... when you are in love with god, thats that! all duality passes when naam is there/ur in love with god/......... its just that peole start to go in deep. believe me, the whole chakra thing is a good anology, like it saying bout ridhia sidhia, and floding of liquid light, how can i say anything to denounce that?? BUT! people start to concentrate on each area to raise their chakra and such things, and in turn forget why they are here. somone sed to me, each chakra, once raised, should be "tried" and tested! the water chakra, hence, karma sutra! and thats prepostrous. many times iv seen sikhs forget guru sahib and go to other gurus for this chakra raising knoledge.. so to me, this is not the way ie, guRmut.. i no in bhagtaa ki bani there is some things about this...so in the big picture, i am unjaan. am still learning. i hoped i wouldnt get on the wrong side of anyone of my previous post....... and with this one!! maaf karna! gurfateh!

    Chakras

i dont denounce the existance of chakaras, but arnt we supposed to forget all of that and just do naam?? this body is a vessel by which we do seva and naam. so y would we concentrate on doing the whole chakra buisness?? i dont agree with the chakra thing. jus agree with naam!! :D this >>>> has just come to my mind... i dont want to say it, but i am cus its copme to my mind.. the chakra buisness is hindu mut. we should be trying to rinse the mail (dirt) off of our 'slate'/ 'dasam duaar' so we can get to it and start knocking on it. i suppose this can be translated to.... cleaning the mael is like raising the chakras and stuff... but stilll.. i think its hindu mut thinking about the chakras.. maaf karna. gurfateh
  3. stupid so called maha prashaad.
  4. though we can learn from this situation presented in the charitropakhyaan, its hard to see what is truely ment in this tale. we can be told this and that by others that this is what it means, but how can we know what it means ourselves?

  7. iv just typed a long msg and it jus got deleated!!!! aarrhh!!! tri gun is the world. there are alot of threes in gurbani. tribhavan, tritork, trigun, and so on.... the trilok is the world, and i think the trigun is the world aswell.. the land, above the land, and below the land.. in jaap sahib there is another thing. sur nar asur. sur is swarag, nar is us lot!, and asur is opposirte or swarag.. like demons..daint..... iv done some reaserch in this area.... in doing this, iv found another thing... thr number four!! like, naanak chauthe pudh nai so jun gat paaaie. in sukhmani... this 4th level is seperate from the other 3. the other 3 is, from what i understand, the chakar of life.and this is what we are stuk in. wee need to hop onto the 4th level!! 1 mor thing, the chakar is mainly reffered to the trilok. the world. but its more than that.. its like that is the inner cam, and the larger cam is the sur nar asur.. id like to keep in touch with you if thats ok wiv u.... i need elp!! the number 21.. iv foundd 3 different meanings for 'ikees' if you find anything on this please could you msg me?? thanks..
  8. the above writer is correct.. the 3 taap are aadi biadi upadi except, iv been told by 2sorces (gurmukhs) that aadi/biadi is basikly ILLNESS. like biadi is a rog of the body. aadi is a mun da rog. illness of the mun and then upaadi, is 2 things...... 1, people can call bhoot-prait upaad.... and 2, when somone buts into somone elses business, they are doing upaad.like, 'aimee upaad kari jana ya' this is from what i know. and, thts such a powerfull line from guru maharaj. it sets the stage fofr god to lisen to your ardaas! this is jus what iv experienced.. gurfaterh
  9. thanks. where could i get it from? i know by you saying rupies, its in india! but where? which shop? if you know? i was just about to say, i dont know how to thank you. but i want to thank you by doing moolmantar for u. gurfathehe
  10. roop deep granth was recomended from a vidunti sahib from amritsar and i am on a misson to find this granth. its a granth written by a giani. in this granth there is explanations of chand. we all know how to count the matras to see if bani 'adds up' like, chaupi is normaly 16 matras but can be 15 or 17 when needed. bujang pryat chand is in 10z. ie 10 or 20. chaachri chand is 5 or 6. dohra is 13 then 11 (i think!11 may be 12!) soratha chand is opposite of dohra, 11 then 13. and from my research, savaya is like chaupi but doubles. you got others that iv only heard of like, chapai chand is 150 matra! rola +ulaal is bujang pryaat chand and so on.. other chand are a composit of 2, maybe 3 chand like eik achri chand and rooaal chand.. its amazing. its a whold world thats getting forgotton by the panth.. iv been taught a little by vidunti. i urge all people that have come accross this post to reasearch this and to pass on the message and tell others to do the same. reasearch and pass on the msg. doolas father knew alot. anyone who has been taught by them or who knows anything else about chands please send me info. thanks. gurfateh.
  11. nothing. if you were reffering to what i was saying, you may have mis understood what i was saying. in ramadan, they increase whatever good they were doing. or at least thats what they should be doing. its the whole notion of a little is better than nothing. and it is!!
  12. the whole reason muslims fast is because from the majority of what muslims tell me about their relegion, they show restraint. the reasons are many. the main one being the "how would you feel being less fortunate" thing. i know muslims that wear the topi all that month and then dont for the rest of the time in the year. and dont swear and dont lisen to music and things until the month is over, then its all partying. i think that, this month of ramadan is good, but is misunderstood by the majortiy of the muslims. they should be giving and helping all year round, but for that month, they should increase on the good that they already do. like us as sikhs, how much good do we do all year? i can say that i do what i can.. but it is nice that for a month in the wholeof the year, all goodness is increased. having said that, our guru ji says that all the sanyaasis wen they used to leave home and family, "dheea putt mun chord sunaasi..." to go into th e mountains to pray, their mind was in their family and stomach was growling and they were somtimes cold, wishing that their wife was there to bring them lovely food, our guru ji says, whats the point of going elswhere to remember god when your mind is clearly not with god? and is with your family? this is why we do gristy jeevan.(1 of the reasons...) AND this is why we dont fast. else our mind will not be where its supposed to be.. but!! if one were to read seheskriti salork, they would find somthing that would turn their view ryt around!! :D sikhs practise (or are supposed to practise) what muslims practise for only one month. you should be able to see that what they do in that month is good. and you should say that u dont just practise and learn for a month, but for the whole of your life. this is what the word sikh means. if that dont make them stop saying what they are saying to you and otyher ppl, they are moorakh and will not listen to you, but they will stand their ground and not be open to other views. bhul chuk kima.
  13. ^^ maaf karna, i can only go by what sant say. gurfateh
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਭਜੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਏਕ ਰਤੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕ ਨ ਲੇਖੈ thats the fourth pauri singho. as u can see, its both laav and dolaav. and if u have 3 budda dal gutka sahibs, why are u asking these questions? why not just see how the gutka sahibs have the banis?? ^^ i know that. but iv heard from 3 different sources, one is a vidunti/ ardaasi of sri harmandar sahib, and nothr is somone who does khorj. there are numerous mistakes in jaap sahib. in parang param parmeswarang....., in this line, they write papa rara mama, and papa rara mama. it should be papa rara tipi, and papa rara mama. in nearly all chaachri chands, the matra dont add up. in japji sahib, guni nidaan should be one word. when the people were deciding what to seperate and what to not, some words got seperated while others didnt. haraam khor is one word. some gutke they print it seperate. the list goes on!! adaks are missed. sanaanang and sanaanae and isnaanang, which is correct in the gutka sahib? ( i believe it to be sanang!! ) so many people are questioning this but nothing is being done. i want to get a team together and go across to all the puratan beeds and find out the truth. the sources i have, that have told me otherwise, have done this khorj, and, me being me, i want to find out for myself. and one of the things that was told to me, was this that it wasਲੇਖੈ that was the only one with the laav-dolav. all the rest before was laav-laav.. this is why my question is here. soz bout the font! gurfateh!ੇ one mor thing.... how are we supposed to know if dasam pita wrote samapt must submast, or samaptam sat subam sat??!! confuzzling init! gurfateh!
  15. gurfateh ji! let me start by sayin, gurmantar is waheguru. mool mantar is up to GURPRASAAD. and people liike all the gianis say wen it says jap, this is the start of the japji sahib. but look at this, the number system of the japji sahib. naanak hosi bhi sach has a 1. and then the soche sorch has also a 1 at the end of its pauri. so. this leads people to say IT IS GOOD if we do up to naanak hisi pi such. if we do up to naanak hOsi pi such, this becomes MAHA-MANTER this is the whole mool manter fiasco. -------------------------------- up to gurprasaad, there is one bisraam. y? this is y.. after guru naanak dev ji came back from heaven, they couldnt talk. they had seen such amazing things, they were speachless! then when god let guru naanak dev ji talk, the mool mantar came. this is the mool of god. thererfore mool mantar. (but god in effect has no mool!!! ) then, this is what i have heard, is that somone asked guru ji, what are we suposed to do with this mantar?... or sumin along those lines. then guru naanak dev ji said jap the mool mantar. (which was naam in that time.) and then guru naanak dev ji said aad such jugaad such, hai bi such naanak hisi pi such. so both of these are ok to say. mool manter, and maha manter. to be technnical (wich is never good!) mool mantar is up to gurprasaad. BUT it is GOOD to say it up to naanak hosi bi such. THIS IS EACH OF THE 2 MANTARS. NOW, BOTH OF THEM COMBINED, MAKES THE ALL WONDERFUL ALL POWERFUL NAAM. we should be in a constant contemplation of god. this is when naam goes "unhud". inside you. we must try and see god wen we are alive. this is why we have the mool mantar. describing what gru nanak dev ji saw with their own eyes/ aatma. once we are "hi" on this, we start our naam. gurmantar. gurmantar has the power to unlock our brains, has the power to separate aatma from the body, has the power to unitet us with god. and so does mool mantar. some people find it hard to concentrate when doing gurmanter. so this is why therre is mool manter. this is somthing that i have found out for myself. no one tells people these things. i urge you to try it and se for yourself.. BASIKLY PUT, MOOL MANTER IS TO BRING YOUR MIND ON GOD, AND GURMUNTAR IS THERE TO PRAIS GOD. JUS LIKE GURU GRANTH SAHIB IS THERE TO SHOW US GOD AND DASAM GRANTH IS THERE TO HELLPUS DO VAH-VAH OF GOD. THIS IS WHY ALL MUST GO TO GURU GRANTH SAHIHB FIRST. ALOT OF PEOPLE GO TO DASAM GRANTH STRAIT AWAY. AND THAT IS NOT RYT.... GURU JI IS INFINITE. BEYANT.
  16. :| :whs: :offtopic: :console: :H: so du you no bout the forth pauri in amrit sawayae?? thanks oh, and its all the same bani!!
  17. first id like to say, what a name!! dil rubab!!! lovit! and i have three budda dal gutkas and thats why i need the banis online to save me from typing it up. as i am making a gutka. with the help of giani ji from harmandar sahib. he has all the correctness in bani.. and thanks for the web site! i have another q.. in amrit sawayae pauri 4, at the end of each tuk,it has a laav and then a dolav.. ON EACH OF THEM. iv been told by 3 seperate sorces that its just the last line that has a laav-dolav and the rest of the pauri has just laav-laav. is this correct???? cus the divayaa pauri is the only one that has the sihaari.... so jus wud like a few thorts on this...
  18. we shouldnt debate as we are open to all faiths and we talk bout god. fowarding naam. i have a lot of muslim mates as i try to not distinguish between any of gods'z jot and i can have a good chat with them about god as there arnt many sikhs in my uni! they are all sharabiz!! anyway, a muslim will always try to slander all but islam, and he will try to look at where s/he could put the ideas of islam in you. they dont move from their ground. they are not poen minded. and they will stick together. in gurbani i rember it saying somthing like, 'they have a heart of wax.' its there, but it will melt for silly reasons to do with their relegion. they will use you. it tells this to them in their koran. it slanders all relegions and says only islam is the way. (used to be able to give quotes!!!>>its amazing wots on you tube!! :D ) tru muslims are all bout god. but muslims that warp the koran, which is the majority, are chalaak! they think kafer is all non muslins.. its not!! it means non believer! but how many muslims tell you that it means non believer in god?? and it dont mean non believer in islam? this is the worp. i use an analogy! its good, but funny.. you have an indian and a muzi. you tel each of them to take 2 objects and put them together. the muslim will put it on top of each other, while the indian dude will put it side by side. its still 2!! but in a totally different way.. this is the best way i can explain muslims and indians. muslims want war. from wot i remember, it even tells them how to prepare for war in the koran...they will kill all men, take the war 'booty' and the children. what is this bout??.. this is why deep convo is,kind of, taboo for a sikh to a muslim. this is y the old rehet nama sed wot it sed bout leason with muslims. BUT!! you can learn alot from em!! i learnt urdu, arabic, persian(farsi), from them! cus it was free to learn from them! y did i wana learn it? cus of dasam pitas bani. i want to under stand it. it has helped alot! learn from them. think its called vistaar or summing.. after all, we are sikh! shia muslims are supposed to be beter then suni. and sufis beter than shias. hope i aint sed anything controverial!! maf karna! gurfateh! it's true, from the lips of Guru Gobind Singh ji to the pen of Bhai Nand Lal ji, though i think he says "turk", which sometimes gets translated as "muslim" and other times simply as "enemy" or "barbarian". Chaupai He is a Khalsa who refrains from scurrilous talk He is a Khalsa who in fighting never turns his back (44) He is a Khalsa who gives gifts to charity He is a Khalsa who slays Muslims (44a) He is a Khalsa who triumphs over the five evils He is a Khalsa who despises the Bahman rituals (45) He is a Khalsa who abandons pride He is a Khalsa who avoids anothers woman (46) He is a Khalsa who does not look covetously on anothers wife or property He is a Khalsa who repeats the divine Name (47) He is a Khalsa who loves the hymns of the Guru He is a Khalsa who fights face to face (48) Dohara He is a true Khalsa who recognises that the creation is the Creator’s and for this reason does not cause it harm. If anyone should cause harm to this creation, Nand Lal, the Creator is filled with wrath (49) Chaupai He is a Khalsa who supports the needy He is a Khalsa who destroys the oppressor (50) He is a Khalsa who repeats the divine Name He is a Khalsa who fights his enemy (51) He is a Khalsa who absorbed in the divine Name He is a Khalsa who breaks free from that which binds him (52) He is a Khalsa who knows how to ride a spirited steed He is a Khalsa who is always fighting battles (53) He is a Khalsa who carries weapons He is a Khalsa who smites the Turks (54) He is a Khalsa who upholds Dharam He is a Khalsa who bears a canopy over his head (54a) note: i am not advocating the killing of anyone based on religion, i'm just sharing information. where is this thing in blu ^^ where is it written? the tankha nama? or where?? can you please post the document?? the non translated version?? thanku!
  19. gurfateh! what is the ugardunti? history. shaktis. stories. and other things that may be help ful, please post. AS far as i know, ugar means the opposite of dev. which is daint. iv come accross in gurbani, this. >>> maha uggar paap.....<<< and in katha iv heard sumin like >> in this uggar sama.....<< its a real nice bani! jus would like to know more! AND MOST IMPORTENTLY WHERE I AM TO FIND THe bani in a word or pdf doc on the inet.. am looking for baramaha 'savayae' aswell.(not maaj or tukhari) and am looking for sukhMANA sahib aswell. pdf/word doc. if anyone can helpme! khalsa ji gurfateh
