After all the goings on some sangat have grown tired of the politics whilst others only choose to go to that Gurughar as opposed to others because they're guaranteed drama, sensationalism and intriguing plot lines like something out of Days of our lives or Dynasty. There are good sewadars at GNG Smethwick- most of them are in the langar doing proper sewa, or running the youth service or stall. There are a lot of good people trying to sort out the committee too that just want proper parchaar without drama but they're faced with certain person(s) that like to use a well known gangmaster and his drunkards to suppress the will of sangat. Mr gangmaster is well known and will take anybody's side providing they pay him but it's usually 1 person who regularly pays him to turn up on election day. I only know this because i know Mr gangmaster and he's often boasted about it- not many people would want to mess with this guy- if sangat wanted to they could sort him out but it would take a lot more sangat and a real will for change. Anyhow- the vice president has gotten in again so there's nowt anyone can do about him now. People have got to work with him and have little choice but to move on.

Thanks for the addition of some akkul- of course all sangat want is some shaanti However what singh shiromani has been saying throughout is that any election should only involve those in the Gurdwara and that nobody should be bringing in drunkards surely that also makes sense. Anyhow i hope Gurughar gets the peace and quiet sangat want but that'll only occur if a certain person stops bringing the drunkards in. Either way- Peace

Throughout all this Singh Shiromani has done EVERYTHING he possibly could have done to stop the joker who brings drunkards in to fight his battles for him. Gurbar Akaal- Anybody who thinks drunkards should not be allowed into a Gurughar should take the issue up with the person who brought them in- not the people who knowing they could face consequences still were trying their best to prevent this from the start. So you don't accept the challenge- Singh Shiromani paji has faced insurmountable odds against much bigger groups of goondae but stood firm for his Guru and sangat. I say again if the people you mention were as bad as you say then surely after al these years you have sangat on your side or some proof which you could give to Gurughar sangat instead of making unproven claims on a forum using a new forum ID ? Again if Singh Shiromani can walk the walk and take up his issues face to face why can't you?

With respect kurtas ji- May Waheguru give you similair strength in getting the media, GOI to stop branding innocent sikhs as terrorists and/or killing them i hope you are doing so- if not then you are not using your time equitably with the real tyrants Peace

I agree with Singh Shiromani- Mr newby poster wala don't just say £$!% for the heck of it- i know Singh Shiromani like a true Gursikh takes up sangat's issues directly with the people he mentions- he doesn't just talk the talk so if you have issues with the people you mention accept the challenge to say all the things you just said directly face to face with those people

you disagree with the sikh fed- that's cool- you wanna diss it- fine- but what are you doing for the panth- why don't you set up a fed of kurtas and see how many people join? then when you go out and try and do something for the panth you'll find there are plenty of kurtas-wannabes ready to diss you rather than work with you and ready to diss you rather than do something for the panth themselves. Fine lakhani may or may not be a terrorist- but the point jagtar is making is that sikhs have been called terrorists for much much much less. when sikhs have done nothing wrong and are completely innocent in india and even in the west they are picked up under the pretext of terror legislation and arrested. Men, women, old people and even children have been labelled terroists and murdered in fake encounters. Is the very notion of a hindu terrorist abhorent to you? Have the GOI not been sponsoring terrorist groups to fight against sikhs in punjab, muslims in kashmir? Even if you leave some of these underground cells aside- and look at some political extremist groups like the RSS, and even congress have offshoot groups that were responsible for the Nov. '84 pogroms, countless incidences of organised violence... well no offence kurtas but if an old lady or child in punjab can be labelled a terrorist and even killed as a result of this line of justification then yes the RSS, these political extremists and any hindu remotely involved with violence are definetly terrorists too. To take a moral highground they certainly don't call all hindus terrorists unlike the RSS which has often labelled all sikhs and muslims terroists. When the GOI and it's political factions decide the rules of the game are all sikhs are to be considered as terrorists then if some sikhs wish to call those hindus involved in arms or violence terrorists then he certainly has more justification than the GOI does Peace

Let me also state that when i say i'm not a supporter of Hindustan nor of the elite ruling Brahmin caste that survive by drinking the blood of the other 99% of Indians like Vampires i do not wish ill will to Hindus in general at all. Randip paji and others over the last few weeks have said little in support of the Conservatives but several hundred things in support of Labour- i think it's safe to say you're a Labour supporter :T: it's ok- we ALL get your point i agree with a LOT of what you are saying- my family for a long time have been well involved with Labour and have a very good friendships with a few of the local MPs. However, the majority of your statements supporting Labour are of Old Labour not New Labour. If Michael Howard is the best Conservative leader that the BNP ever had then Tony Blair is the best Labour leader that the Conservatives ever had. The previous generations of Sikhs have always clinged to Labour but like used rags in the laundry they are all spun out. Frankly most Sikhs don't have a clue what New Labour stands for By becoming Core voters of New Labour they have lost all value of their vote. We live in a democracy not a dictatorship and it's about time some Sikhs realised that and threatened the New Labour to listened to what they have to say by voting the other way. Political economics dictates the price of your vote is valued by market demand and supply- if you're always going to supply a New Labour vote then your vote is worthless. FACT- All parties base their policies not on core voters but on swing voters We need to go on Political talkshows and say we're going to vote Conservative or other parties like i did on the budget programme (yeah i know- ahunkaar galore) otherwise Labour are never going to listen to a word we're saying. Sikhi does not encourage racism but Tony Blair himself said Conservative policy was not racist. However Sikhi certainly does not encourage selling ourselves or our votes away to New Labour for nothing either. In terms of most of your benefits attributed by Old Labour for Sikhs they were NOT for Sikhs specifically but for Ethnic minorities at large. When it comes to Sikh issues all the Sikh organisations have for years stated difficulties in getting any middle of the road politician let alone cabinet minister to sit round the table and discuss Sikh issues even though they're happy to do so for Muslims, Christians, etc. Our good friend Khalid Mahmood may have after repeated contact decided to speak out in our defence over Behzti issue but was quickly silenced and instead we saw a torrent of dozens of Birmingham Yardley, Northfield, and other Labour MPs apeaking out against Sikhs let alone the senior Labour politicians. NO one single party stands for Sikh issues Left wing parties stand up for ethnic minorities in terms of their race, colour and culture but NOT religion. Voting for Labour or Left-wing parties is also a vote for secularism which destroys our and other religions. They strongly support freedoms that cause the disintegration of organised religion which is why the Catholic church and Muslims support right wing parties. Michael Howard has been visiting Gurdwaras much more regularly unlike Tony Blair, why senior Conservative cabinet ministers have turned up at Sikh political events and more readily sign up in support for Sikh issues Conservatives NEED us- that's why they bootlick. If the Sikh sangat was in a health state of political affairs then ALL political parties- especially Tony Blair's New Labour should also be bootlicking instead of throwing all the political prizes to be won at swing seats elsewhere Sikhi is not left or right wing- it lies in the centre where a person can independently think rationally as to which party is going to help them, the religion, etc. to flourish. However most Sikhs act like left-wing Nasha addicts incapable of thinking for themselves and deciphering the basic fact that when they guarentee their vote for Labour don't expect to see those politicians ever again but when they swing vote they will see Charles Kennedy, Nick flaming Griffin, Tony Blair and Michael Howard all run to your constituency and beg you on their hands and knees for their vote ...to which you will point them towards some our Guru's teachings and some of the issues Sikhs face. General Brar paji (just kidding- i know i'm stupid) before making statements please undestand there is a subtle difference between being a member of India and Hindustan. Currently being Indian and/or Hindu are not synonymous for everyone (although sikhs are recognised as Hindu in the Constitution) Muslims and Christians are recognised as being distinct religions. The definitions have changed with the rise of the RSS and associated groups. For further details see http://hinduunity.org/aboutus.html According to them their proposed Hindustan will have an orange flag with a nazi swastika symbol and sword on it completely different to india's flag. In their proposed Hindustan everybody is Hindu and all muslims, christians, etc. either accept Hindu religion or leave for Pakistan. Thus temporarily sikhs in india could for now use indian because they're gulaam under a regime which is increasingly fascist since the growth of the sangh parivar. All of the above are untenable for Sikhs because India and RSS's Hindustan make the assumption that Sikhs are just an extension of Vaishnavism and there is no religion called Sikhi let alone anything else.
