1. Dont demean Gurbani by quoting it at a wedding reception.
2. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!! The programme was excellent. Many informative videos were shown to the Sangat. The Highlight was the talk by Bhai Balbir Singh Bains about his experiences as a Political Prisoner in India and his meeting with Bhai DevinderPal Singh Bhullar. Bhai Balbir Singh spoke from the heart and summed up his experience as "hell on earth". He spoke about the suffering within detention centres, Dehli Jails, families who can visit their loved ones for a few minutes a month. Prisoners are waiting for their cases to be hear my corrupt Judges and Lawyers who either dont attend hearing or defer the vedicts by 6 months at a time. The Prison Guards take the Sikh's Gutka Sahibs and Senchi Sahibs away from them. The Sikh prisoners have to sell their food to get soap and toothpaste and Kacheerey. It was an insight that brought tears to the eyes of those listening. Bhai Sahib said that Bhai DevinderPal Singh is now in confinment, cut off from the world, however he is practicing Naam & Gurbani day and night! Other Sikh Prisoners cotinue to stay inside because they dont have monies to pay of fines even though the have served time for false accusations. Bhai Sahib highlighted the need for something to be done for those living Shaheeds who suffer everyday in India Jails. It was truely a first hand experience of the suffering our brothers and sisters have faced and still facing. PARNAAM TO THOSE LIVING SHAHEEDS PARNAAM TO THEIR FAMILIES WHO CONTINUE TO SUFFER FROM OPPRESSION We need to do something, they are in Jail for the Panth. The Panth does not forget its brothers and sisters! GurFateh
3. http://www.panthic.org/news/124/ARTICLE/2015/2005-11-20.html Sangat Victorious, Committee Looses Sharaab Rights Sunday 20th November, 2005 Panthic Weekly News Bureau Leamington Spa, Warwickshire - Today the Management Committee of Leamington & Warwick Gurdwara Sahib has been forced to pass a resolution by the Sangat, declaring the Gurdwara a meat and sharaab free zone. The Gurdwara, was the scene of violence last week as they hosted a party where meat and sharaab were served openly to “celebrate” Diwali and Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The incident highlights what Guru Sahib tells us: ਸਰਮੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਦੁਇ ਛਪਿ ਖਲੋਏ ਕੂੜੁ ਫਿਰੈ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ਵੇ ਲਾਲੋ ॥ Sharam Dharam due chhap khaloe, kooR phirai parDhaan ve laalo. “O Lalo! Sharam (shame and modesty) and Dharam (righteousness and religion) both have vanished, and falsehood struts around like a leader.” (Ang 722, SGGS) On Friday the Gurdwara was visited by representatives from Gurdwaras in Coventry including Ramgarhia Gurdwara Coventry and Guru Nanak Parkash Coventry. This was followed by a visit from Gurdwaras from around the UK and Sangat from around the country. Gurdwaras visiting included High Street Smethwick, West Bromwich, and Willenhall to mention a few. Today at the special General Meeting the Committee had planned to change the name of the room in the Gurdwara, to ‘community centre’, allowing the consumption of alcohol, meat and intoxicants. In a bizarre twist the plan fell on top of them as the Sangat didn’t let it pass. In fact the actual opposite passed. 4॥16॥18॥ Prabh apune kaa bheiaa bisaas. Jeeo pindd sabh tis kee raas. Naanak ko upjee parteet. Manmukh haar, Gurmukh jeet. ||4||16||18|| “I place my faith in my Waheguru. My soul and body all belong to Him. This is the faith, which inspires Nanak: the self-willed Manmukhs will fail, while the Gurmukhs will always win. ||4||16||18||” (Ang 867, SGGS) No sharaab, intoxicants or meat will now be allowed to be consumed, served or promoted within the Gurdwara complex and also within two years the Gurdwara Committee will enforce a full ban on consumption of intoxicants and meat on all Gurdwara property, in particular the Tachbrook Centre hall. The Gurdwara Committee have decided to form another Committee, which will build its own Community Centre separate and independent from the Gurdwara Sahib, and will not use any of the Gurdwara's funds. This has been a great success for the Sikh Sangat of the UK who came together regardless of jathebandi (organisations), young and old together on one platform in ekta against anti-Gurmat practises. It is a happy day in the UK and a great victory for the Khalsa Panth, and inspiring to see how the Sangat came together as one. The Editors can be reached at editors@panthic.org
4. "you guys in the west are spoiled sons of drukards and fornicators." Well its Gurdwaras like Leaminton who help our parents to become drunks by opening "Social Clubs" and allowing them to drink in Gurdwaras. These spiteful few of Leamington really talk rubbish.....I am sure that those who didnt have an opinion of what happened on Sat will have now formed one, and that opinion will be that the drukards of Leamington Gurdwara are pathetic.
5. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!! Awareness!! Many people within our community think that 1984 was our own making. Dont forget how quickly our own are ready to brand those who stand up against beadbi towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as terrorists & extremists. We have to make our own community aware about the attrocities by GOI. We have to go crazy with raising awareness in rainsahbaes, kirtan programmes & all major events. Its something we cannot & shouldnt hide from. Displays, leaflets, documentaries all need to be shown during these programmes. It is shaheedi & Sikhs remember their Shaheeds within the Ardas at least twice a day. All major programmes in Gurdwaras MUST promote: Respect For Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Gurbani Kirtan Gurmat Vichar Awareness of 1984 This is our duty. Degh Tegh Fateh!!
6. Exactly :TH: We all rely on one source - Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji - Even those who do want to believe are actually surviving only because of Gurbani.

8. lol, if you actually read my post, i said "he might have been, he might not have been" amazing once you read ones post you dont need to ask the same question again hunaa? lol sorry im knit picking. well, i thought he was namdhari because a) the way he tied his dastaar b) the kapri wasnt actually gyaani style or anything like it, it was tight at the bottom, which is somethoing i dont see in our guru ghar c) notice he had no kakkars d) seemed very very strict in his own maryada. never seen someone so tall yet so skinny. but in answer to that you can say a) you cant judge someone by the paag they wear. i have come across taksalis who wear nok paags, my first impression were they were akj, but after speaking to them they were in fact taksali. b) again assumptions you cant judge in that way. c) how do i know he wasnt wearing his kirpaan underneath his kurta, or wasnt wearing a small one or didnt wear one in his dastaar? d) he could be bibeki. coming from there, i thought say if a namdhari did come to a gurughar (as i said, he might have been, he might not have been, but the sangat there were doing his chugli and saying it was obvious he was namdhari...what they pinpointed i didnt bother listening to). anyhow, say if a namdhari came to the guru ghar, would he be welcomed (bearing in mind the story i came across!) gustaphi maaf 130757 Do Namdharis not wear kakkars?? Your point C suggests this is the case, I always believed they wore all 5 kakkars. Many Gurdwaras have Namdhari "visitors," especially in places where there aren't "Namdhari Gurdwaras." For this reason, I assume they would be welcomed ok, but your example seems to indicate differently as per the chugli comment. Does anyone else find it weird how sometimes we own and disown Namdharis?? I was recently at a talk about 84 where there part of the speech focused on the price Sikhs paid for Indian independence, and as part of this price was included the Namdhari contribution within the "Kooka Movement." 130990 Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!! Namdharis dont not believe in 5 Kakaar Rehit. Their living Guru had made the decision that the kirpan can now be replaced with a woolen mala. Today the Namdharis live off the glorious Kooka movement. Baba Ram Singh's sacrifice has been abused by his own family members to create this sect that feels it can make decisions above Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, like changing kirpan to mala. I once saw a video of their main man saying that "Sikhi is atta & Namdharis are the salt". Now is that a comment of a Bhram Gyani? This comment is full of spite towards Sikhs. Why is there this feeling of Superiority? At the end of the day Namdharis are known for singing Gurbani in raag, however disliked for their Satguru living of false claims. Without Gurbani they are nothing. Maybe they don’t realise how Gurbani has made their place in society, more than their main man can even have done. Probably thats why these well connected Namdhari Congress members did nothing during 84. Maybe Namdharis thought it’s not worth saving tasteless & bland atta. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji created the science & philosophy behind the Gurdwara where you cannot refuse anyone entrance. They can take whatever they want if the adhere to the rules of a Gurdwara (cover heads, take shoes off, not drunk etc). Namdharis are far from this philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. They have only started to mix recently into the other Sikh communities, which they refer to as "Ko-lay" literally meaning "open" or simplistically put Manmats. The teaching of raag is a ploy to infiltrate the wider communities because the growth of this sect will otherwise cease. Why? Because Namdharis are primarily of Ramgarhia backgrounds a point has come where the rishte (bride & groom) were very closely related. Why should we learn kirtan from them? Would any Sikh go and learning Gurbani Vichaar from a Nirankaari? No matter what, they will indirectly push their thinking while teaching. They end up creating their own problems, they wish to follow manmat that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not the Living Guru of the Sikhs then what do Namdharis expect?
9. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Exactly! Dont let the hate for Indira overtake the Pride we have for those Shaheeds who stood up for the Panth. Its the day to remember Shaheeds.....no-one goes to Aurangzeb's tomb but Sis Ganj is packed with Sangat remembering the greatness of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
10. Not fair Admin!!! All the other programmes are stickies.....dont leave us out
11. Some Locals when to speak to Neville Road Committee, see posting below Did anyone else go? Please tell us what happened
12. Sangat needs to take control of the situation. No committee is beyond the reach of the Sangat. Some committees run Gurdwaras as businesses, someone should tell them that Guruji is their employer and he does not worry about profit margins!! Alot of the committees make decisions to construct party halls so they have the facilities to throw a party at the time of their own children's marriages. Its sad but very true. Monies from Gurdwara funds and ploughed into halls that will benefit a shelfish few at the expense of the Whole community.
13. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!! We all have cameras on our mobile phones...Check out your local Gurdwara's Sachkhand and take pictures if you see something wrong. It is important, this is beadbi within Guruji own home!!!
14. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!! Maghar Singh cannot hide from the fact that Maharaj was on a shelf in the Sachkhand. The Sangat want Ramgarhia Gurdwara to stay as it is, take responsiblity for the 47 saroops of Maharaj & stop this crazy idea of a Community Centre with a Darbar Sahib & 2 party halls. Goodsingh, if Maghar is a good sewdar then he will do as the Sangat request. :TH:
15. So all of a sudden this committee is concerned about Maryada! Complete and utter JOKE! I want to come around his home and blast light music. What does he mean by light music? A Sitar??? You dont do a bhog of an Akhand Path with "Light" Bhangra music blasting away!! I sure we can all read between the lines!! Again a great example of a pardhan who has no understanding of Sikhi. To him a Gurdwara is a service provider and they wish to branch out into Receptions. Why should hotels only make money from parties. The Ramgarhia Gurdwara London wants a piece of the profits aswell!!
16. NEVER FORGET '84 Delhi Riots - 21 years Saturday 5th Novemeber 2005 at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha London East (722/730 High Road, Seven Kings, Ilford. IG3 8ST) 7pm to 10pm - videos, documentaries & discussion 10pm to 2am - Youth Gurbani Kirtan Darbar
17. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!! The question we must ask ourselves is how do we stop these people using websites like Ebay to sell Guru Maharaj? Ebay need to be aware that Guru Maharaj is not a “product” to be auctioned. I have spent ages on the site and cannot find any kind of contact details for Ebay, anyone able to help? Bob Geldoff and internet users were able to get tickets for the Aid Concert in Hyde Park removed from the site. Lets take a leaf from that & get Ebay to agree that they do not allow Guru Maharaj to be sold on their site. HELP PLEASE CYBER SANGAT
18. GurFateh! Thanks EktaOne.com :TH: Can other websites do the same? Its not about agreeing with the Campaign, its the issue thats important. The issue is that Guru Maharaj must not be taken to hotels, clubs, pubs, banqueting hall etc. Please send a response to Royal Lancaster Hotel, to stop this beadbi SSadmin can you help?
