Question: What happens to old saroops? I have a friend who has many saroops of Sri Guru Granth sahib and one of them I viewed had many scraches on it, he said it was from handling when bringing over from India. The Saroop is Gold and has scarches on it, I advised him to get Gold spray paint, however he said it was too risky because what if it didn't match the right color and the smell of the paint he said would be bad, so my question is what happens to old saroops when they can't be used anymore, and does anyone know places in Toronto, Canada, where they fix up bindings of saroops, can someone please let me know how bindings can be fixed up, or what are the options, to fix saroop because the pages are still Good almost brand new. thanks

Sometimes Guru Ji has 18 lines sometimes 19 lines per page, I have seen Lareedar that has 18 lines and pad chedd 19 lines, yet the handwritten one in Golden Temple has 19 lines Lareedar, I'm confused, what is the offical version, how many lines per page, or does it matter? are all lareedar lines the same what I mean is the line/page break system the same for all Lareedar saroops.and does it depends of font size, someone please give answers. Dear Sangat, I have never seen a Sri Guru Granth Sahib Saroop picture before can someone please show darshan of some pictures of granth Sahib. I am wanting to look at pictures of close up not far away from Paliki Sahib, but actually someone's home pictures of Saroops, I want to know how it looks like. The cover, the pages the binding, this is not disclosed from the far away pictures from the Gudwaras. I want to see the different styles of binding Singhs have developed over the years of Sikh faith, what are the beautiful artists concepts on how to dress our God. Please show pictures online of Saroops or links of pictures online. thanks guru ka das

It is goldenish color and apperance. I was shocked to see this display of Saroops like this, can someone please see the video at time 3:30 into video there is saroops stacked up in sacha sauda without proper respect. I cannot get any sleep because it is not respected properly. Can someone please confirm this by watching video and please let me know what is going on. How come there is no respect, and Guru Sahib is stacked up without any Ramalas and Palki Sahib. I don't know what to do..please help please..I am very concerned. Someone please post reply why there is no respect. Guru Granth Sahib is living Guru, and should have Ramalas. Please investigate and post reply. Dear friends, I have a question regarding a book I see in this picture, it is one volume book, is this sri guru granth sahib? I have picture but I cannot post it, I don't know why I tried., and women is reading from this book and playing instrument, however book is thick so it looks like granth sahib, I am concerned because it is not kept with proper respect. reply requested

Dear Waheguroo friends, my questions relates to the cover Binding color of the Sri guru granth saroop, which color is most admired and wanted or looks the best, any insights on this matter. I have seen Gold color only(cover) which looks ok, because only the best cover should be given to Granth Sahib. So has anyone seen the cover of Sri Guru Granth? and which cover color is best is best? thanks
