  1. Singhrow is doing an amazing job of preaching the true SIkhi and none of this politicially correct stuff. Watched alot of these guys videos and they deliver the message of Sikhi in a great way. The politically correct 'sikhs' won't like their stuff and it's like poison to their hears because it's true Sikhi. I recommend these type to not watch, you may develop some heavy breathing, red face, blood pressure sky rocketing, veins popping problems. Now you can't say you weren't warned. Also if you decide to push one of their brothers and try to put fear in them then be prepared to be knocked out by a 15 year old. That was a good video. They made a great point in that video aside from the main reason the video was made. Stick up for your brothers and sisters even if that means physical force needs to be used. Keep up the great work.
  2. I'm giving them feedback, and I've reviewed some of their work. Call it Quality Improvement. For all this time, no one has pointed out to them the basic errors in their work, making themselves unwittingly look like thicko's and you guys have let themcarry on!!! Where' was your brotherly love and support then? If anything this guy sounds like the team of spn. They have many alias here and write alot of crap here to pollute young Sikhs minds.
  3. I agree with most of what you said, but if the person you are going to marry is fat this can mean many things. For one it can mean they are lazy, which can stretch into a whole lot of problems in many areas. Also it can mean they really don't look after themselves. And who wants to marry some lazy person. Getting them to do one task would seem like the end of the world. I can add some more but im leave it there. Sometimes its superficial and other times as said here its not.
  4. soorry but what is 'skank'? pm me the meaning if it is inappropriate. You got one of the world's best search engine at your finger tips and your asking me what a skank is. Type into google, the meaning of skank and you'll find out. Also was not just saying it to the girls, but to the manwhores that think it's alrite for guys to mess around and not for punjabi women. Take your Jatt mentality else where it does not belong anywhere in SIkhi. Both genders should control themselves and have some self-respect. THink about it once you get married and you are just walking around in town with your husband and you run into some guy you messed around with. Now take the same scenario and add your kids walking with you. Have some shame of commiting these acts. Your husband might not find out or your wife might not find out, but that does not matter because God is always watching. These Punjabis like to say mostly women use this, that I have free will I can do whatever I want. No such thing as free will because free means nothing is in control. It's God's will that works and you will have to answer to him for your mistakes. Either take your karma path or the path that Guru Sahib blessed us with; Gurmat. The way a man or women dress says alot about them. I have seen many Singh and Singhni dressing inappropiately. Stop this nonsense and stop disrespect our father. Wearing low neck shirts, tight shirts, tight pants or jeans tight suits, no matter how you put it your doing it for lust. Then you have guys wearing wife beaters and tight t-shirts to show off there muscle. Again its to attract the oppisite sex, which is for the lust. Stop dressing in these manners, especially women because they can be an easier targets. Seeing my sisters in this manner breaks my heart. A true Sikh will never marry a women for her looks. First thing he'll want to know is how much of a devoted Sikh is she. That's the only thing that matters to true Sikhs. Not trying to bragg but I had many punjabi and white women that are moderate wanting to get married. Buddy's saying do it man shes hot. And it was always a no because looks is never on the list for a SIngh. I know i went off topic, but I felt the above needed to be said.
  5. Two words for the ones that had alot of experience. No hard feelings, but your a F*kin Skank

thank you for that link, is was really great to listen what he explains. the thing is: i have read most replies and you all make sense to me, really. you are right, when you say that i must trust god. but then again, what is with all the people around me: some really believe in god, most of them are christians(does not really matter which denomination one has, since we all believe in the same god) and the all do have sex with there boyfriends. are they all sinners?! i hope i do not offend anyone with this reply, it is just what i going on in my mind, thank you all very much, bye Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh ! I believe Young Lady is looking for a narrow escape route to do the deed. Here if you're looking for one I'll help you out. Why can't i do it everyone else is doing it. This one always works. Well almost always. I hope you make the correct decision and before using the above excuse think it through.

    Premarital Sex

Singh, what is there left to talk about here. A relationship like the one that is being described here is termed as wrong by Guru Sahib and it should be avoid at all cost. The orginal poster can channel the energy in a positive way and recieve something fruitful in her life instead of being stuck in kaam(lust). The parnter she refer's as long term could be 10 years relationship or 50, it still does not matter because they are not married. This whole situation is really simple, but for some reason some endorse making it complicated and difficult to solve. And there is nothing modern about this topic. I believe lust was here since the beginning, nothing hip hop or rock about this whole matter.
  8. Mcloed called Guru Nanak Dev ji a Hindu and the rest of the Guru's aswell in his book. He says Sikhi is a sect of Hinduism. Nothing else has to be said about what Mcloed was up too. Here's a link http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3561924756911502585&hl=en
  9. This is exactly what i was trying to point out on spn, but then Vaheguruseekr makes some crazy statement. Also the orginal writer of this article has put Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji equally to the Koran. This is clearly slandering Guru Sahib. Whether it was done intentionally or unintentionally is unknown. I am trying to get the article writer to respond to my questions, but so far not a single response. Only useless post by a fanatic. Just to go further into the five k's. Taking up the five k's by taking amrit does not make one pure, it means you are now Guru Sahib Sikh. And circumcision in Islam is for purity. They say this makes the Muslim pure now. What does it mean when you join the Khalsa Panth it means you have taken on the mission to become pure. Same goes for comparing a pray mat to simran. The writer of the article seems like a smart individual so i don't know how this could have slipped his mind. I can just hope Amar Prakash Singh(the writer of the article) will answer a few questions of mine to clarify his article. I'll keep the sangat here informed if he responds to the questions.
  10. Here is an interesting article written about Sikhi. What is in bold is really interesting. Is there anything wrong with what is said here. What does the sangat here think about what is written here. ................................................................................ .................................. Taken from another resource on Internet... Today, I have made the decision to lose my religion. This is not to say that I am leaving the Spiritual Path that was given to me by Guru Nanak but that I am losing this religion called Sikhism. That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it REM Ten years ago when the song that contains the above lyrics was popular, it was inconceivable for me to even think about the idea of "losing my religion." Recently, I have come to the conclusion that that is exactly what Guru Nanak wanted us to do and we should be "trying to keep up with" Nanak because that is what he did in writing Mul Mantar. In his article Evolution of the Concept of God, Rawel Singh talks about how the concept of God has evolved through human history. I think that it is very interesting that he uses the term "concept" because that is exactly what God is: a concept but more accurately a metaphor. He talks about how the God of the Old Testament is different than the God of the New Testament, which is different than the Islamic God, which is different than the Hindu God and even different than Nanak's God. But how can all of these be true? And even more importantly, it begs the question: Is man a creation of God or is God a creation of man? How can God be Akaal Moorat, the Timeless Being if he keeps changing through time? But is it God that Nanak is talking about or is it Sat? I believe that it is Sat. Source:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=23211 (Losing My Religion By Amar Prakash Singh) Ek Ong Kaar Sat Naam There us one Truth Sat is Karta Purakh, the Creative Force. Sat is Akaal Moorat, the Timeless Being. In the descriptions of God in various Religions, God is said to have birth, form, even death, fear, and anger. In Mul Mantar, Nanak dispels all these descriptions of God with: He is without birth, without form, without death, without fear and without anger. But is he saying that these are the attributes of God? No, these are all the attributes of Sat. This whole idea can be extremely frightening and full of doubt. However, once you have passed through that fear and doubt, it is incredibly liberating. Along this same theme, Wajinder Singh wrote: My Guru is NOT a BOOK My Guru Is NOT even a DEITY The SHABAD is my Guru .... this Shabad is the Divine Knowledge (Gian) This knowledge is the Guru, Gu-darkness (ignorance) Ru-light JOT (knowledge) so my Guru is definitely not an Idol, i don't have to follow around my Guru But when i read / hear the shabad ALL i can HEAR is my Guru SPEAKING So how could i force others to see my Guru this way, They don't accept nor believe in this GIAN knowledge but I DEFINITELY do ..........and this is all that matters ! .... Eh Saagar Soi Teray Jo Har Gun Gavey Throughout time, Religion has been the barrier that creates the "veil of illusion." As I described in Devolution, "Sikhs continued adding bricks of misunderstanding until the Gateway was closed. Then they stood before the non-existent Gateway and proclaimed what a great wall and religion had been built. As they stood there admiring their work, they decided to add golden domes and beautiful marble to the wall and they declared that God must really love them for allowing such a beautiful wall to be built. Source:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=23211 (Losing My Religion By Amar Prakash Singh) "When some pointed out that the Gateway had been bricked shut, they were told not to 'fiddle with Sikh traditions' and swords were unsheathed, excommunications were delivered, and those who insulted "Sikh religious sympathies" were jailed." So how can you become truthful? And how can the veil of illusion be torn away? Guru Nanak page 1 The first step is understanding that the concept of God is the illusion and that Truth and only Truth was what the Gurus were talking about. In "Break on Through to the Other Side," "We stand before this wall with great fear and trepidation. Why? Because that wall is made up of all of our beliefs that we hold so dear." One who understands this becomes truthful. Guru Nanak page 3 We also become free of unanswerable Theological questions, such as: What is the Name of God? Is Nanak God? Is the Guru Granth the word of God? Our concern turns to: What is Truth? and How do we live a Truthful life? The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is abstinence, truthfulness, and self-restraint. Without the Name, no one becomes pure. Guru Nanak page 33 Truth is higher than everything; but higher still is truthful living. ||5|| Guru Nanak page 62 Some understand Truthfulness; they are given the inexhaustible treasure. Guru Amar Das page 85 All of this appears in the first 85 pages of Guru Granth, Why has it taken me so long to see it? Better yet, why has it taken so long for people to understand? Because what the Guru's are talking about is a moral framework that has nothing to do with religion. It's a framework that can be simply expressed as: Do the Right thing because it is the Right Thing to do, not because some religion threatens you with eternal damnation. Do we really need a religion or God to tell us that killing and stealing are not the Right Things to do? I think not. In fact, some times doing the Right Thing is contrary to what your religion tells you. I remember one evening in India, as I was approaching Gurdwara Nadha Sahib, One of the legless beggars asked me for money. According to modern day Sikhi, we are told that Sikhs should never beg therefore you should not give money to any beggars. I had a 100 Rupee bill in my hand that I was going to donate to the Golak and walked by the beggar. A few steps later as I was looking at this magnificent Gurdwara, it dawned on me that this Gurdwara was as cold as the marble it was built of and there was no Truth there. I turned to the beggar and saw the Guru in him. I approached him and gave him my money, that he grasped it between his handless arms, instead of the Golak. Why? Because it was at that moment I realized that that was the Right Thing to do. Salok, First Mehla: Let mercy be your mosque, faith your prayer-mat, and honest living your Koran. Make modesty your circumcision, and good conduct your fast. In this way, you shall be a true Muslim. Let good conduct be your Kaabaa, Truth your spiritual guide, and the karma of good deeds your prayer and chant. Let your rosary be that which is pleasing to His Will. O Nanak, God shall preserve your honor. Guru Nanak p. 140 The above quote from Nanak is telling a Muslim how to be a good Muslim. But it also begs the question: If this is followed, would anyone, let alone another Muslim, recognize this person as a Muslim? I think not. As I was reading this quote, it dawned on me what Nanak might say to a modern day Sikh. It would be something like this. Let mercy be your Gurdwara, faith your Simran, and honest living your Guru Granth. Make modesty your Kakkars, and good conduct your rituals. In this way, you shall be a true Sikh. Let good conduct be your Golden Temple, Truth your Guru, and the karma of good deeds your Banis. Again, This begs the question: If this is followed, would anyone, let alone another Sikh, recognize this person as a Sikh? Again, I think not. But the Truth is that this person would really be the True Sikh. And this is the reason that I have decided to lose my religion. Not to stop being a Sikh but to become a True Sikh.
  11. Let's not start putting limitation on what Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji can teach Sikhs and others. Guru Sahib can teach us everything there is on spirituality and how to realize God. And for worldly ways we are told how to behave and treating others. Putting limits on Guru Sahib only strains the humans ability to understand what the Eternal Guru is teaching us.
  12. Another SPN battle against forum members. IT's not all of spn members are anti-gurmat. Just the few choosen ones. Like Vaehguruseeker. SPN is not out for truth, but just to put on a show and get more members. Sounds like radical muslims to me. Give this topic a rest Dasam Granth is Tenth Guru's Bani and for the ones that claim it isn't then let them be. They lose in this by believing they are the authority of Guru Sahib. Even though they put on the kirpan every morning and the dastaar, its all for show. These guys are in there old age and want to feel comfortable with what they were practicing there whole lives was Sikhi. So they battle to death with someone to say Dasam Granth is not Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji's Bani. They just want to feel good about themselves. There unwilling to learn and they continue their stubborn ways. They don't understand the depth of Dasam Granth so they end up follow these so called scholars to reconfirm their view on Dasam Granth. Here just to get under the skin of these scholars and old aged men and women even more this is what Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa had to say about non believer of bachittar natak.
  13. Let the man rest in peace. Everyone has good and bad qualities. Don't look at others and judge. Look at the dirt you have sticking to you and clean that first. And stop playing God by saying hes going to hell. Only God knows where he is. Never wish bad for anyone, no matter how bad his actions were.
  14. It was a truly sad day. What took place shouldn't take place at any Gurdwara. Especially for the wrong reasons. It was a slap in the face of the Khalsa Panth. Nothing to laugh or cheer about here Singhs. And don't make this issue into monas verse Singhs. Get a life guy.
  15. No you said, it doesn't matter, only a book. If you were to conduct such a thing in front of any Sikhs, then see what happens. ive mentioned my viewpoints to many people and never had any problems. so people agree & some disagree. that is their choice Geo, if you would have kept humility during this discussion you would have realized why Langar and in Darbar Sahib we sit on the floor cross-legged. It has something to do with the posture you are sitting in. Any drastic moves of putting chairs in Darbar Sahib in the Greater Vancouver area will cause an up rise from the Khalsa Panth. This will immediately be dealt with.
  16. singh sabha havelock have chairs in the darbar sahib!! as soon as u enter the darbar sahib, to your immediate right. Singh this is really sad to hear. Chairs in Darbar Sahib. People that live in this area should do something about it. Give us reason's why chairs should be placed for Kings like you in Gurdwaras. Leave your Manmatt behavior at home when you go to the Gurdwara. If fatness is your problem then go to the gym. And eat less, which will be better for society aswell, more food in the market for the rest.
  17. woowww two full pages of cat and mouse. This Naamdhari cult needs to calm down and understand Gurbani instead of jumping up and down until you get tired and passing it on as raas. The above video is too much.LOL Naamdharis instead of jumping around at least discuss reasonably and honestly. Or are you guys just hope by making personal attacks this thread will eventually be closed and you guys have saved yourselves from exposure.
  18. Here are some other enemies of the Panth Dr. W H Mcloed http://www.sikhspectrum.com/052004/psycho_...ysis_mcleod.htm Dr Pashuara Singh http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&...a=N&tab=wv# The video speaks about both here Mcleod and Pashaura and some more of their associates. Dr. Virinder Singh Grewal http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/sikh-sikhi-s...rsy-second.html Dr. Grewal writes here as vsgrewal48895. http://www.sikhtimes.com/news_062794a.html All attack the authencity of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and then Khande Bate da Amrit. This should be made as sticky
  19. Why in the world would you encourage others to kill innocent people. Blame the girl that ran off with the Hindu man. The preist or the witness were not at fault here. Teach discipline to our sister's first and then if they still run off with some hindu or whoever, there is really nothing you can do about it. The more we fight with our sisters the more they will run away. Give them the right to voice their opinions and then reason with them using Sikhi's teachings. Don't have double standards for guys and girls where the guy is allowed to go out and the girl isn't. Trust me this fills some girls with rage and they lash out by going out with a non-Sikh or messing around with guys. Alot of these problems stem from treating women unfairly and expecting them to just listen to Punjabi cultural practices that make no sense at all.
  20. Let's stop talking/doing something about this flue virus that is going around because we got more problems in this world; wars, drug abuse going on. Come on I thought people were smarter than this-to use this weak way of thinking. Why can't we tackle the more problems and this one at the sametime. Why is it when a person try's to do good, people always ridicule the good act. Where does this mentalilty come from in this community. If you can't do nothing and don't want too, then keep your mouth shut. :o
  21. Has all the Singh in this area lost courage. Go in that Gurdwara and demand to be heard and if they try to ignore you, use force. Don't stand there and do nothing about it. Ask yourselves this, will Baba Deep Singh ji just stand there and let this happen in a Gurdwara. NEVER! First reason with these moorakhs, if they still don't listen then use force. Don't worry if your the minotry. Stand up for the Truth and God will be on your side.
  22. Paaji I think rehit was upheld to quite a large degree in puratan days, more than it is today; and in fact if you look at a lot of gurmukhs who are very chardi kalaan, if you look at mahapurash and their attire like Baba Thakur Singh ji, Sant Jarnail Singh ji, Sant Jagjit Singh ji etc. or in fact look at the women in their lives, their wives their sisters; you have to agree that they do wear plain and simple clothes and it's not like they tell everyone else to wear designer clothes and shoes. What happened to keeping a humble image? "naam beej santhokh suhaagaa rakh gareebee vaes |" Let the Lord's Name be the seed, contentment the plow, and your humble dress the fence. I think paaji, by adopting humble attire and appearance, it can only help us to be more content and focussed instead on submerging ourselves in the eternal Love of Maharaj. Thank you Singh for a virtues post. People see living simple as a crime these days. Mr. bling bling, keep your ignorance to yourself. Thanks
  23. It sounds like you just watched yogi ji's video.lol Stay humble singh he is right though isnt he I believe he went over the top with that jewellery thing and poor man who wears one kacheraa and begging bowl. It was funny though. For me I see no need to wear jewellery as the 5 kakkar are the diamonds. All the extra jewellery is a distraction and can bring one or more of the five thieves out in a person. So i choose not to wear them and plus the Panj Pyare told me not too.
  24. There was a point of discussing this hear, but I believe this discussion should be put into action now. going on any further with this discussin is a waste of time. You should confront the committee about your concerns and give them the reasoning you provided here. Then get back to this site about what they have said and then discuss some more. If your not willing to confront this committee then there are Singh already asking you which Gurdwara this is and they will go ask them and see for themselves what is going on. It's on you to make the next move now confusingh. I hope it's the right one.
  25. It sounds like you just watched yogi ji's video.lol Stay humble singh
