  1. lol mate, seriously don't speak english like that at an interview, they won't accept you if you do haha just a word of advice
  2. hmmm, well I would say an army needs to be recognisable. And by seeing a singh,s appearance, the bana, kamarkassa, dumalla and shastars visible, you would be able to tell that someone is part of this fauj. I do understand what you are saying though I do know that Guru Hargobind's Akal Sehna wasn't that recognisable. I also hope so lol.....
  3. hi dilrubarb This democracy and politics stuff, this was not really followed before the british arrived. Successors were usually chosen by the leaders before. regards
  4. WJKK WJKF I WOULD LIKE TO MEET U IN REAL LIFE AND STRAIGHTEN THINGS UP WITH YOU Then we will see whose what u will be kissing WJKK WJKF Mod note: don't say Gurfateh if you dont believe in it. secondly you're the one who reposted this 2 year old topic so clearly you are some darshandassi chela who has too much spare time on his hands. speaking against Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj and in favour of some pakhandi dehdhari is against Gurmat and against forum rules. lastly don't come on this forum and issue threats. lol I wonder what thiois guy said, did admin cut out some of what he said? If darshan Dassis are supposed to follow a peaceful path then they should behave more like that. (and not issue threats, not that some of the other sikhs on here behave any better) if there was less extremism/kattarpuna and politics done by the people in the panth, and more spiritual and dharmic things, then there would be less sikhs following these "alternatives". .... Also I would like to find out what Darshan Dassis views are towards Adi Guru Granth Sahib. As in, do they have any bad views?
  5. lol I ain't agreeing with darshan Dass. But , I know other organisations that have thier own LOGOS And the arjoi seems cool to me, obviously it isn't Guru Ji's bani
  6. yes, I believe they even show what ingredients are in the flavour. However the sensations crisps that are meat flavoured do have meat products. Also many cheese flavoured crisps have animal rennet, but Walkers Cheese and Onion no longer does, but Doritos cheese flavours do.
  7. Well it ain't your Sanathan/Hindu Khanda is it lol hahaha, I wouldn't be so sure about that, even this new khanda has some sort of origin which you might not like well the white folk turned our panth into a faith/religion... I have to disagree with the symbolism view. Khalsa fauj HAS to be symbolic (if you get my gist?)
  8. Well these SGPC sikhs were after all influenced by protestant christianity and christian missionary schools. i thought only keshdhari sikhs could vote in sgpc elections? if that's not happening through corruption then we need to raise our voices. i think this is the difference between SIKHI and SIKHISM. lol anyone can keep kesh, it ain't that difficult. I am sure the SGPC follow sikhism and not sikhi. )))) Well democrarcy is quite an alien conecpt actually, everything used to be gaddi, stuff like gurgaddi and raj gaddi, seem familiar?
  9. apparently you missed part of my statement. most sikhs use SRM as a BASELINE, a MINIMUM, and then add on top of it. wearing keski and being vegetarian is NOT against SRM. i don't know any AKJ sikh who breaks SRM. going above and beyond is not the same thing as going against it. if you still don't understand, let me know and i'll try to use smaller words. from my perspective, its actually changing it, not that I actually care about SRM anyway... can you speak english, how old are you? :o :o :o
  10. NOOOOO you are going to cause more paranoiaaaaaa waheguru satnam mahakaal wasudev, har, gobind, raaaaam. hai gobind hai gopal. deh shiva bar mohe ihai. ram naam. sri bhagauti ji sahai. akaaaaaaal
  11. http://www.panthkhalsa.org/rahit/rahit.php Yes I can see that bujjar kurahit on this website seems to differ from SRM On the link you sent me 4) Consumption of Meat/Eggs/Fish whilst SRM doesn't allow kuttha meat. Here's another one: EXTERNAL (PANJ KAKKARI) RAHIT (Click to View References) Kach, Kara, Kirpan, Kangha, Keski, Eh Panj Kakkari Rahit Dharay Sikh Soeey - [Rahit-Namah Bhai Chaupa Singh Ji] where they have clearly recognised kesi as kakkar as opposed to kesh in the SRM. although I respect they have used the Rahit-Nama, I am just trying to show how the views differ from SRM. Maybe I could find some more? Althought they mentioned: "no individual or organization has the authority to modify the Sikh Rahit." Well then they should follow what they preach! :D Guru Arjan Sahib might disagree with you. I'm sure Sri Guru Arjan Dev Sahib would say "yeah give the monarchy of the Panth to the filthy malesh British lapdog/bloodsuckers of the Sikh populace S.G.P.C "rather than the Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib anointed Akal Sena a.k.a the Baba Budha ji ordained Panth Patshah who has historically always been the Jathedar of Shiromani Panth Akali Buddha Dal, Nihang Singhs are the ONLY Guru-ordained institution of Sikh Theocracy as even Sri Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj was himself an Akali Nihang and even Maharaja Ranjit Singh was himself subject to the punishment meted out by Jathedar Akali Poolha Singh ji. SGPC is a political organization with a politically elected leadership. if you believe they have stolen control of akal takht, then you should either steal control back, or vote for SGPC leadership who will fix things. better yet, run for SGPC office and hand control to someone who was born into the right family/dal. i don't see how simply deciding that akal takht has no authority helps the panth... I prefer the Budda Dal's authority, and the authority it had over Akal Takht.I do not believe in, or follow SGPC. I don't think commitees really have any place in sikhi, and actually just cause problems. lol chakdey futtay
  12. oh this is the SGPC invented khanda, am i right?
  13. satnam back at ya. what's wrong with saying satnam? LOL
  14. It is the rehit maryada of the panth that the SGPC recognises, and not the rehit of the akali nihang singh khalsa panth! Does AKJ really follow the SGPC rehit maryada?
  15. Guru Arjan Sahib might disagree with you. And why is that? I am sure Akali Guru Arjan Dev Ji would never support SGPC either. Akal Takht should be taken care of by akalis, not by some British Empire organisation that lacks lineage to Guru Jis' times!
  16. you don't want a debate yet you are saying this? hmm here's the admin's clearly biased stance: http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?showtopic=36744 Now what would have been wrong in saying "no meat discussions allowed" instead of what the admin wrote? I do not find this stance very "panthic" lol :D lol, first they write: "we leave the ultimate decision to your better judgement. " yet they have also written, "SikhSangat.com will not allow any topics that justify the killing of animals for food or otherwise. Any topic/post stating otherwise will be deleted. " I don't see how this justifies "we leave the ultimate decision to your better judgement " Oh, and heres more sneakily adding judgement into it, "We feel that eating meat is immoral, unlawful and simply wrong according to the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib jee. " (Talk about influencing someones decision, I guess "we leave the ultimate decision to your better judgement " is only half true ) lol maybe their should be more unbiased moderators on here, willing to tolerate both sides of an argument?? If a discussion justifying meat isn;t allowed, then neither should be a discussion against meat? IS this forum not for ALL kind of sikhsangat? Clearly not. )))) nope it can still have anda/egg :o I knwo this cos I have checked the ingredients in food, so bach ke. And if u have eaten by accident, chal koi nah. I reckon mods will close this topic on something that is anti-meat or similar (I have seen many times mods close topics when someone posts something that agrees with them, and before someone is able to reply towards it, hehehe ), hmm lets see.
  17. lol accha end of the world hehe. More time means more time to put in the work for one's spirituality
  18. organized by SGPC? sure. published by SGPC? absolutely. written by SGPC? no way. look at the list you posted. it was written by the preeminent scholars and gursikhs of the time. more imortantly, it is APPROVED by Akal Takht. Akal Takht is our temporal authority, whether we like it or not. so we have to follow whatever rehatnama it approves. Well not everyone recognises the SGPC elected jathedars as true jathedars of akal takht. Besides, they are not akalis either and instead are more like politicians, and I would say Akal Takht is for akalis. I prefer to recognise jathedar of Buddha Dal as the true jathedar, many may disagree But this is how it used to be before SGPC took over, and I would say, forcefully.
  19. please show your sources for these allegations. well i don;t have time to explain it all. But heres some reading. The SGPC came from the tat khalsa, there is some insight into this on here: http://philtar.ucsm.ac.uk/encyclopedia/sikhism/tat.html whilst this describes more traditional sikhs. http://philtar.ucsm.ac.uk/encyclopedia/sikhism/sanatan.html oh heres another site u could read: http://www.budhadal.com/history.htm
  20. lol, no Jasleen. SGPC made this rehit maryada, and Akal Takht follow it. I would never folllow this maryada since I don't follow SGPC sikhi. I would rather follow Buddha Dal maryada if I was amrit dhari since it seems very authentic. And traditional sikhs are the sikhs that follow sikhi the way before SGPC's British Raj version. It was made by sikhs that included those that were influenced by protestant ideas from their british masters.
  21. but if it was for kaam, woulnd;t they just try and get married as soon as possible (well not even that for some peopel these days) hmm celibates do have more time to concentrate on spirituality, would you not agree? 2012, I don;t get it? Anyway I see so much apneh girls and guys doing naughty stuff in public, and people telling everyone they have exes and pre-marital partners, that it makes me worried if I can find a decent girl to marry. So I thought the sooner I look, the better the chance?!? I actually wish I was worried about marriage when I was younger, oh well nevermind.
  22. yes please post the pics up i want to see haha
  23. I do know many khatris were sikhs of Guru Jis because of respect of being same caste. Also I guess khalsa fauj would revive a kshatriya's warrior tradition. Well in UK you get many people who can keep beard and truban but behave characterlessly, but at the same time you can find people who have haircut but behave with izzat and respect. As a jatt, I like my aggressiveness :D I do know that some khatri sikhs, especially from Guru jis lineage, have kept sikh tradition very pure and traditional to Guru jis times. But then there are also those who have been corrupted by the SGPC's sikhi, but many jatts are corrupted by this lol. Also I don;t find many bhappey that cultural, well actually many shaireyay (indian City folk) in general. ALso, isn't it all these bhapas that the joker singhs in bollywood movies are based on? Also why do some bhapay wear patka with beard? They can't tie turban?
  24. some of us suffer racism on sikh forums, but I can take it
