  2. VJKK VJKF a wicked chardi kala taksali gursikh told me that Gurbani is like barfi, it doesnt matter from which direction you take a bite, it will always be sweet.
  3. yea completely agree, my friends dad is a taksali who does 5 pyare seva and put simply he said ur kes is the stamp of the Guru, thats who ur representing so respect it. follows that mryada to the fullest.
  4. VAHEGUROO JI KA KHALSAA VAHEGUROO JI KI FATEH SANGAT JI i remember finding a couple of Larivaar Gutka Sahibs on the net a few weeks ago with the pics, names and publisher names but now that i really want one, i cant find them again http://theshastarman.com/Larivar.JPG i found this one but i also remember that theres a publisher in canada that created one and im going there in a few days so i was wondering if anyone could tell me of any publisher names? even if i cant get one from there, DTF in birmingham said that if i can get them names, they should be able to get hold of one. i was hopefully looking for one with the 7 daily Banis as well as Sukhmani Sahib and Chandi Di Vaar? VAHEGUROO JI KA KHALSAA VAHEGUROO JI KI FATEH

  7. VAHEGUROO JI KA KHALSA VAHEGUROO JI KI FATEH ! i think ive seen this topic stated as a seperate topic or in an existing thread so im sorry Sangat Ji but i have to say i read somewhere about how it would be beautiful to have for example white Singhs marrying brown Singhanees and vice versa and how we need to support our Guru Maharaj Ji's hukam of going against cast, against division in humanity and just realising were all from One. I hate growing up in a punjabi environment with all this caste pride filth, and with parents that say spouses have to be the same cast. and in the same instance, this whole merge with hinduism as u get into different casts, the disrespect of Gurbani in some temples, mandirs, Gurudwaras and then the denial and pride of some of the individuals who go to these places. i think it would be fantastic if we have strong Rehit keeping Singhs and Singhanees marrying into different casts and races and trying to unify Sikhi again creating future generations that respect our Gurus word and Gurmat ways. lets do this! lets encourage it! lol what does everyone think? sorry if im rekindling something that has been put away or been over a million times. sorry if im offending anyone. i just think Gurus way is best and seeing little mini baby Singhs and Singhanees who have been directed in the right way with love and not expectation is the most beautiful thing. VAHEGUROO JI KA KHALSAAA VAHEGUROO JI KI FATEH
  8. VAHEGUROO JI KA KHASLA VAHEGUROO JI KI FATEH ! im interested. u seem like uve got a good infrastructure churning up inside you to set us up. im sure we got sangat here that are whizz kids with photoshop, making websites, and certainly people who are in touch with Gurudwara committees n stuff so i cant see this being a problem. we just gotta warn groups not to get taken by Ego too. we need truly chardi kala sikhs to run this show, to be group organizers and communications between towns/cities, regions, countries and even continents. i think we gotta make it real clear that it shouldnt be viewed as higher archical but a system where everyone comes under the same general umbrella of Gurmat law. id imagine some conflicts would occur between differeing jathas and ways of sikhi life and issues such as meat eating etc may affect the smootheness of things. but if clear definitions can be made to respect Gurmat in terms of using Gurudwara facilies, peoples houses and relations with eachother, it could be a wonderful system of uniting Sikhs around the world. non profit organisation, all donations go through Highly Gurmat inclined Gurudwaras and infront of Guru Maharaj especially with formal Ardaas, decisions made between both sexes (i think it would be great to have a male and female pair or group leaders for each group). lol i dunno what im talking bout. tell us how u think we could organise this on a local scale. produce leaflets? put em up at Gurudwaras. talk to committees and see if we can do regular scheduled seva every week for groups, erm arrange meeting places, come up with a basic general agenda of discussion topics, activities, research opportunities, chances to share recent news, sakhis, rehit reviews, support for incoming sikhs and a unified approach on how to advise them. im excited about this! id like to be a part of it. it would be great to have like quaterly regional Gurudwara meet ups and we could maybe even approach local councils and ask if we can help with youth operations, community service, anti graffiti, street cleanups, helping out at old person care homes, helping with disabled people. this would make SIKHI bloom like a beautiful flower i think showing the true essence of our faith. Vaheguroo helps us! VAHEGUROO JI KA KHALSAAA VAEHGUROO JI KI FATEH !!!
  9. in the almost exact situation except i have an older sister instead. just keep doing ardaas and ask for Guru Maharaj to take you into his loving embrace and all the problems will go away i promise. i bet theyre already going away and you will begin to realise this in no time.
  10. VAHEGUROO JI KA KHALSAA VAHEGUROO JI KI FATEH !!! dear veer ji, all i can say is Vaheguroo has done immense kirpa on you and im so happy that your working your way up the spiritual ladder. i know exactly how u feel about how people think ur a wanna be, i felt the same way (started growing my kes recently and wearing a dastaar, learning to read bani etc) only Vaheguroo knows how badly u want mukti and all u need to do is trust in him. it doesnt matter about what jatha u belong to, what sant u follow or if ur a nihang or what not. it doesnt matter. just keep up ur sat sangat, bani, seva, simran and bana and Guru Ji will pull you closer into his embrace. situations will unfold, opportunities will arise, new and better Sangat will appear etc. just as you are, im trying to find his darbaar and i totally agree with how important it is to truly realise how lost we are and to find the path that bears enternal fruit. i was having a discussion with a friend about leaders and things like that and a point came up that u must follow a truly pure example, not someone whos "heart is in the right place". i dont mean to hate on anyone at all because if they feel that what they do or whatever is right, then so be it - it is only Guru Jis play. eg - nihangs have sukha/marijuana prsaad. they say it helps with battle and meditation etc but to be honest, it doesnt make sense to rely on a materialistic substance to further your spiritual path. so if that prsaad isnt available, does it mean u can no longer progress as a Gursikh? what happened to "Sacha Naamu Mera Aadharou"? or AKJ Singhs generally dont believe in Sadhu Sants...but if u look into Gurbani definitions of saints and countless praises of true saints and then take a glance over to great Gursikhs such as Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji of Dam Dami Taksaal and Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji of Rara Sahib, it doesnt take long to find a bit of logic behind the whole situation. the point im trying to make is that your views will be moulded for you, your Rehit will be created for you, everything you will ever be as a Gursikh is all ready for you, the only thing that stands in the way is time. your right to have entire faith in Gurbani and follow it with your heart because Bani Guru, Guru hai Bani, and Guru Ji and all those who have recieved his look of grace are paviter. Jus keep your faith and Vaheguroo's devine grace will unfold your life like a flower and everything will fall into place. a great Gursikh from here in the west midlands said that you can NEVER EVER do enough Sat Kar for Maharaji. so however strict u want to be is entirely up to you, all that really matters is you do it with true love and faith. every situation you come across is just your best friend ever (Akaal Purkh) jus trying to help you find him. it is a test for you to pass, a lesson for you to learn etc. i always think about great Gursikhs like Baba Deep Singh Ji for example who is said to do approx 110 Jap Ji Sahibs a day as well as his daily 7 Nitnem Banis and obviously more bani, seva and simran. but to even physically do those Jap Ji Sahibs without a break, each one taking about 10 mins would take about 18-19 hours!!! and you know what, i dont think that Dhan Dhan Dhan Baba Deep Singh Ji thought it was "enough". we can never do enough, but we can always try and do more. and thats when u get to the stage where every breath and morsel of food is dedicated. Veer Ji please aim for that, with true faith and just step onto the path with your head in your hand, give your tan man dhan and FORGET public opinion. Guru Ji is watching you as he is all of us, so whatever you do, do it to please him, and only him. stay in CHARDI KALAAAA and keeep keeeep increasing your love. I kind of went off topic there but i just wanted to say keep going, your inspiring me to keep going too. thankyou for sharing your story paaji, dont every stop pushing to Guru Jis duaar. VAHEGUROO JI KA KHALSAA VAHEGUROO JI KI FATEH !!!
  11. doesnt look good khalsa ji, i talked to sant ji and they said it shud b ok for me to take it then for us to take it together straight after we get married as long as its guarenteed that she wants to, and to ask her that if she really loved me, why wudnt she let me take it? she wants me to wait but i feel i cant, i want to join my father Guru Gobind Singh Ji and mother Mata Sahib Kaur Ji so badly and weve more things clear to eachother. she said the lifestyle i see for us isnt what she wants. she sees her parents and wants that; a basic simple happly punjabi lifestyle. worshipping the creations and not the creator. intimacy has got her worried aswell. lol she even said "go on and {-Praise the Lord-}" obviously not being serious. she says the fact that shes even willing to take amrit before shes 80 is something that most girls wouldnt ever do. im soo deeply entagled, i dont want to let go, but i guess were fading away
  12. Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh ok heres the situation. fell in love with a girl 3 yrs ago, thing is she lives in canada and i live in uk. were both 20 and visit eachother every 4-6 months(ish). everyone knows about us, i get on with her family and we want to get married in a couple of years. i booked my tickets for this dec and were planning to get our engagement done. ive had darshan of a great Sant a few times within these same 3 yrs and ive been getting into Sikhi more and more heavily. i recently asked Sant Ji what i should do about this situation and he said to have a good talk with her and ask her to get on the path aswell. then he suggested i take Amrit at the next Sanchaar if possible which scared the poo outta me. and he said its good if shes already into Sikhi, and she mighted have started a little later than me, but he was very serious when he said its up to you whether u want to take my word or not! lol im scared im gunna die soon now or something and i generally want to take Amrit asap anyways. another thing is that my gf thinks our relationship is going downhill because i dont give her the same attention that i used to and thats generally because as we get older we have more responsibilities, problems, stress and less time, but we still love eachother and want to grow old together. shes a good person and interested in Sikhi but she doesnt want to dive in. i emphasise to her that every breath is counted and theyre running out but shes hesitant because of facial hair and other silly things like that. shes doesnt drink or smoke, shes veggie and she tries to go to the Gurudwara and listen to Simran every day which is great. its hard because i dont want her to hold me back, but at the same time i want us to be together. i dont want to forsake Sant Ji's bachan and i want to take Amrit preferably by summer next year and i told her this but she still says she doesnt think shell be ready for then. i think she isnt really influenced by good sangat either, as in she doesnt really find good Singhanees to be influenced by. she finds them all heavily egotistical and that they tend to shun people. she sees Sikhi as a great way ahead, she knows its right but i think she somehow thinks taking Amrit is the final step, the kind of thing you do when ur old. and she doesnt really see the validity in Sant Ji's bachan because she sees so many fake Saadu Sants its unreal (canada - surrey...). today we threw a few ultimatums at eachother but were scared to face them. im basically saying i want to take Amrit if not this year, definately by the end of next year. shes saying, i want to do it too but she wants me to wait until shes ready so we can take it together. but shes admitted that she truly wants to take it after were married so she can look "good" on the day of our wedding ... lol. we're just at a point where we're facing the reality and wondering if we can go on. the only logical things i can think of is either we take it together next summer, or i take it when i come back from canada in january and she takes it when she comes here in summer, or i take it when i come back, we take a break until were ready to get married and then she takes it just before the wedding. but i dont think the break thing would work. HELP KHALSA JI
  13. great ideaa!!! plus when u mix n match, they make the cutest babies lol :D
  14. very proud of our Singh!!! but i think to see more results like this we need a well established branch of the Damdami Taksaal here in england for people to stay at and learn Gurmat as well as normal education. kind of like Khalsa School in canada but better! and more people go Santhia where Taksaali Singhs teach!!! i know i should lol
  15. i think somewhere in Bhai Gurdaas Ji's vaars it says something about the 8.4 lakhs of species existing and then sub species/creatures being derived from those but as many have said, only Vaheguru really knows.
