  1. Singhoh Its a babe trap - Dont do it!! lol
  2. Good article -gives good pump ! As for the swearing, it is in context to a alpha body building male -keep things in perspective. We ain't mullahs, talibans -we got much bigger things to be doing in the Panth than this. Good article.
  3. Gobind Sadan was led by Baba Virsa Singh. They promote interfaith knowledge. However, BJP donated 100 corore rupees in the late 1990s. They are fundamentally against Akal Takht maryada. When I was in Delhi (specifically 2006) I hear one of their sewadaars say that 'Gobind of the Sikhs was a hindu soldier !' He went on about some other rubbish that Gurmat is based on hinduism. They are bad -stay away.
  4. dalsingh101 brother I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. As a Sikh patriot, and as a Sikh of the post 84 generation, I share the pain that the Sikh kaum had to endure prior to my birth. Especially since many of the issues that existed then have still not been resolved. Its not about hate my friend, its the feeling honour and proud feeling that one has a Sikh. The feeling of blood boiling when you see injustice. In Punjabi, this is called ANAkH - something that is lacking in todays Sikhs. Nirankaris are an openly anti-Sikh group to this day. She may not have shot the Singhs herself but she will certainly sypmathise with it. These guys are basically brainwashed to do whatever their nakli baba ji tells them. The Akal Takhat's gurmatta to boycott the Nirankaris is good enough for me. I want us to be a community that stands by its desicions. Regarding the song, it is neither for paghs neither is it against. Its basically a boy and a girl having an argument. Girl is saying she doesnt want to marry a guy with a pagh and boy is telling her to say get lost. In India, nothing is as it seems on the surface. Here we have an attractive female singer who is also a Nirankari, playing the part of a girl who does not want to marry a guy with a turban. What message is being given to the highly impressionable youth of Punjab, who are ready to chop off their hair for any excuse? Clearly it is just solidifying an existing stereotype that attractive girls do not want to marry Singhs. Would you feel comfortable dancing to this song at a wedding (assuming you wear a turban)? All I know is that in Punjabi culture, dastaar is given the utmost of respect, and people shy away from demeaning it, even if there is a moralistic message. Finally, yes I am a pindu BRUAAAH
  5. Dont have concrete evidence but: http://miss-pooja.blogspot.com/ gives a biography and states that she is from a nirankari family. She released the following album: Avtar Bani(2006) - Miss Pooja & Arvind Kumar. (Nirankari religious songs) as seen in her discography: http://miss-pooja.blogspot.com/2008/06/mis...ography_15.html If anyone can provide evidence to the contrary, then please come forward
  6. Thanks for your views doctor_mani. Could please explain why you think she is a legend and dont care if she is a Nirankari. I thought that the Akal Takhat Sahib had passed a Gurmatta stating that Sikhs could not support or associate with Nirankaris after the Nirankari Guru sat with his feet on SGGS ji and his men killed 13 protesting Sikhs in 1978. My understanding is that Nirankaris are enemies of the Sikhs regardless of the fact that they may be 'legendary' singers or otherwise.
  7. I agree with most of the posts and I also recognise that many of the Gursikhs on this forum are not interested in bhangra music and many probably dont even know who Miss Pooja is (which I think is actually a good thing lol) However, if we look at the wider Punjabi community, many of them are both Miss Pooja fans whilst being sympathisers of the Sikh Cause as well. My question is, do many of her Sikh fans know that she is actually a Nirankari? If they dont know should they know? Finally, if they do know should she be boycotted?
  8. means 'i dont want to marry a guy who wears a turban.' In the context of modern Punjab where the majority of youth are cutting their hair so that they can look more attractive to females for marriage, most turban wearing Sikhs would find it offensive I think. Given that Miss Pooja is openly a Nirankari and has released 'Nirankari Religous Music', we know that the Nirankari movement is blatently anti-Sikh and was responsible for many Sikh deaths in the late seventies and eighties, it doesnt make sense to me that Sikhs listen to her songs as much as they do?! vjkk vjkf
  9. Wjkk Wjkf Miss Pooja the popular bhangra singer who is adored by many Sikhs is actually from a Nirankari family (Cult group that had been excommunicated from the Panth in 1978 and one of the key organisations that was involved in the lead up to the 1984 Darbar Sahib Attack.) This perhaps explains her anti-Sikh bhangra music, in particular, the song 'Menu pagg vala munda nai pasand' Personally I believe that she should be boycotted by all Sikhs How does the sangat feel about this? wjkk wjkf
  10. Darpan Sikh Rahit Maryada endorses the concept of Dhur Ki Bani and its doctrine -it opposes baba kachi bani. I do agree with you that meaningless bukwas is not for the stage at any Gurdwara -but, the smear campaign against him is exceptionally distorted and promoted by a certain group of people ! The religion (I assume you mean Sikhi) does not need ekta, it is and has ekta -it is the non-Khalsa who 'try' to unsucessfully chip away and rant and rave about ekta. That the Khalsa is not responsible for ! Gurfathe
  11. Yep that would be really wise -your actions would work in a Taliban country ! 1. You with a criminal record. Unemployable/ out of work. Family beadbi 2. He will really shut up thereafter and crawl under the rock he come out from 3. We would give you a suroopa for your sacrifice 4. Like you guys kicked Prof. Darshan Singh -LOL. I was there and believe me it was just a rant and rave. Totally pointless. Not a single punch/ kick thrown.
  12. Here we go again guys ! :homer 1. Gulshan has NOT been excommunicated from the Panth -despite letters asking for him to be done so. FACT 2. Gulshan is entitled to his own views about Baba Deep Singh, etc -they are meaningless in the grand scheme of things and do not contravene Gurmat. FACT 3. There was a hate campaign against him last year. He performed at GGSG, Bradford, GNG, Smethwick, GNP, Coventy, Gravesend, etc and other Gurdwaras in India (despite a huge childish campaign to disrupt the programmes, not a single internet karkoo attended any of these events) -I have seen the videos. HE SAID NOTHING ANTI-GURMAT. FACT 4. His Parchaar of Akal Takht Maryada is prefound, meaningful and provides a balanced historic context in accordance with Gurmat. Perhaps the anti-Gulshan supporters cannot understand these concepts or goes against their baba's teachings. 5. Taliban Taksalis versus Sikh Missionaries -grow up guys ! Haaad hundi singoo... PS. I look forward to your many kala afgana, RSS agent, indian government spy allegations against me !!! T: PPS. I am neither for or against Gulshan -but this is classic infantile dribble that is distorting facts
  13. http://www.panthic.org/news/124/ARTICLE/4754/2009-02-13.html UK's Sikh Youth Group Promoting RSS & Hindu Sanatanist Websites Friday 13th of February 2009 Panthic Weekly News Bureau LONDON (KP)— A UK Sikh youth group under the name of ‘Project Naad’ has been discovered to be supporting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, a fundamentalist Hindu right-wing nationalist movement that has and plans to further distort Sikh history and religion and claims that Sikhs are Hindus. Worryingly, this group claims to be providing resources and materials to promote the Sikh religion to Sikh youth and non-Sikhs in colleges and universities. The same group is involved in the discredited ‘Sikh Student Camp’ (Chigwell, England), in which last year they were group leaders and also were invited to deliver a talk to naïve campers. In July 2008, Panthic Weekly exposed Project Naad for supporting the Dera Sacha Sauda cult, who has mercilessly murdered innocent Sikhs, and for writing against the Sikhs who seek justice. Further to this, in September 2008, Panthic Weekly exposed some of the subtle anti-Gurmat propaganda contained within the Project Naad leaflets, articles and statements by them on Sikh forums. This week, Panthic Weekly exposes and highlights how this small group of UK youngsters in Sikh guise are aligned to anti-Sikh elements and promote their ideology via their website, internet forums, social-networking sites, university Sikh societies, and the Sikh Student Camp (Chigwell, England). "they (Project Naad) are openly promoting the so-called Sanatan Sikhi ideology and RSS sites on their own website" Promotion of anti-Sikh groups by Project Naad had already been raised as a concern by Sikhs on internet forums in the past. Project Naad members replied on these forumsm including our own, in support of Radha Soamis, Namdharis, Nakli Nirankaris, and Dera Jhoota Sauda. Now it appears that they are openly promoting the so-called Sanatan Sikhi ideology and RSS websites on their own website. Screen shot images from Project Naad Website: Project Naad's official site contains links to Sanatan Hindu and RSS websites It is clear by now that Project Naad supports the widely discredited Sanatan view of Sikhi that is propagated and supported by UK Nangs (fake Neo-Nihangs) and the RSS. Panthic Weekly urges the UK Sangat to be cautious of this and other anti-Panthic and anti-Gurmat groups targeting the youth and wider Sangat through discreet Parchar on the Internet, universities, and particular camps. 14. I've made a pagh for a couple of monae quite niavely ! Never again, no Singh with the Suroop of the Khalsa can treat it like a gimmick or some sort of theatherical prop. Singhs should be discouraged from doing this type of nonsense. Certainly, there will always be someone to do it, perhaps some committeewala as it is a major revenue earner for Gurdwarae. Its just one big juloooos ! I have Roman Catholic friends and they have to be interviewed by the Priest on whether they are worthy to get married, given courses on conflict management/ budgeting, spiritual element of a christan marriageetc. Sikhs need to do the same ! The Ananad Karaj is just as seeen as the formal event/ for the parents/ traditional wedding. I aint a hat maker and will never make a hat/ topi/ head covering for a mona so they can do the 'traditional wedding'. I urge all Sikhs with the Suroop to do the same.....
  15. unless you want votes there is no need to class trimers/ monae as Sikhs. at last the SGPC actually makes a 'rightous stance'.
  16. Gurdaspuria E12, you have a point and there is an element of truth in what you are saying. But, can we stick to the point here please ! In summary, there is a divide, some people say AB is pro Sikh, others say he is not -well the only way we can settle this is by 'how has AB supported the Sikhs other than a PR visit to Harminder Sahib' -see my previous post please !
  17. Please let me know exact title. Thanks. Here's the book and a link to buy. http://www.dtfbooks.com/Pages/ShowProductD...hp?pID=MzYwOA== Regards, - K. Thank you Kalyug Singh !
  18. Waheguru. We all know of cases like this and have relatives in Canada. Canada is what the UK/ USA was in the 60s and 70s for mass migration. Having lived in Canada, the majority of Sikhs are hard working/ proud. However, there is an underbelly (apna chav scum) element who play on the 'Canada card' and woo innocent girls to marry ugly fat/ disgusting punjabis. The family in this case needs to boycotted by the community in Brampton -the Gurdwarae (I think there were 12 a few years ago) should excommunicate them publically. Can the Brampton community ensures this happens ?
  19. Ok Star Singh, and I mean no offence to you. I have one question, 'given ABs alledged 'love of the Sikhs, etc' what did AB do to stop the genocide of the Sikhs during 84' I am sure we both agree he is an influencal figure in indian society. So given his admiration, lineage, affection of the Sikhs he would have crept out of his bollywood palace to stop the murder of innocent Sikhs right ? Baul chuk maaf. PS. This doesnt apply to any of the other bollywood figures, etc -this is specific to AB.
  20. Khalsa Jio, please stick to the original exam question ! What are WE doing to commemorate the 25th anniversary. Unless you are an economist the viability of Khalistan wont get solved here. BTW, The first step for Khalistan has already been established, like it or not, we are on the path to Khalistan -whether its tomorrow, next year, next 100 years, next 500 years only Akal Purkh knows ! Khalistan is envitable sooner or later. End of discussion. So please back to the original question..... Bal chuk maaf.
  21. Thank you Mista Singh. Do you know what the book is called ? Also, did Guru Ji raise 52 hukumnamme or where there more ? WJKK WJKF.
  22. No. Your attention should be 100% focused on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji/ Gurdwara programme.
  23. Sangat Ji, Can anyone recommend a source /book where all (or as many as possible) Hukumnammae by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji are stated in full ? I've looked on Google and their not complete -just titles/ main prose, some complete ones though -but want to see more.... Speedy response appreciated. WJKK, WJKF.
  24. To me (for what its worth) Bloody 84 is very simple. If you regard yourself as a Sikh of some form then: 1. you will remember the sacriledge of the supreme authority of the Sikh nation -Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji 2. you will appreciate priceless artefacts from the Tosh Khana were either destroyed or looted 3. an estimated 250, 000 Sikhs slaughtered -whilst we were kids in the West going to nursery/ school/ playing, etc our brothers and sisters were being burnt and/ or shot. There is dying with a simple bullet, but to be tortured/ burnt/ choped and then killed -with the only way for loved ones to identify the dead body is from the blood stained/ flesh ridden clothes is inhuman 4. Famlies wiped out 5. The Indian army, police, politicians continue to live a normal life whilst they commit henous crimes against humanity You need to be a pretty sick individual not to remember bloody 84 ! It is every Sikhs duty to remember/ raise awareness/ understand the true causes of 84. Its pretty distressing for the youth to have these earthy, hippy, liberal views, dont give a damn type views, to busy studying, etc. Dont use we aren't militants or other fashionable statments. Where is the backbone in the youth gone ! (retorical question).
