  1. VaheGuru Jee, Please add 1100 ... Also wanted to know whether there was a deadline set in achieving 2 Million Jaaps? modnote: Dhanvaad Waheguru Jeo Jaaps added! About deadline, so far its open Jaaps but Sangat Jee can decide whether a deadline should be set
  2. VaheGuru Jee ... Please add 1010 Jaaps ... modnote: Dhanvaad Phenjeo, your kamayee has been added to the treasure jeo
  3. VaheGuru ... Beautifully translated ... Thankyou Bhai Sahib Jee!
  4. VaheGuru Jee Kaa Khalsa VaheGuru Jee Kee Fatheh! Thank you Jee! That's Kirpa! VaheGuru!
  5. VaheGuru Jee Kaa Khalsa VaheGuru Jee Kee Fatheh! Yeah I use that too ... It should be available in all the Indian shops as that's where I get mines from or you could use Gugal which is also used in thoof ... Just light it and let it burn ...
  6. VaheGuru Jee Kaa Khalsa VaheGuru Jee Kee Fatheh! I'm looking for this Dharmik Geet that comes on the Sikh Channels mainly Sikh TV ... The chorus goes like this: "Guru Granth Sahib Jee Nu Hath Bann Chuk Ke Sees Nibhaava" ... It's really melodious and mentions the Dass Guru Sahibaan's ... If anyone knows who the composer/singer is or where I can find it then please do let me know. Thank you!
  7. VaheGuru! Amazing programme! Hope recordings are made ... Ideally, the Guidance and Underlying Messages of Gurbaani should be reflected upon daily from both Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Jee ... This is evident from Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Jee's Hukam of reciting Panj Baania Nitnem everyday which consist of both Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Jee .... Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Jee Parchaar is at the forefront of every Panthic JatheBandi i.e. Taksaal, Nihang Sampardey etc so I don't understand how and why you feel that the Ramgharia community are solely focused on this ... Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee's Baani!!!
  8. Yeah I've had a few interviews at managerial level and the employer has asked to be CIPD qualified ... (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) ... To attain the diploma from the Governing Body would take 2/3 years but if done as Masters at University then it can be 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time. I reckon it's necessary to get as much academic qualifications and industrial experience as you can these days ... And in many cases a Diploma/Masters in a focused field (e.g. HR) also helps to gain entry into other areas like management and/or employment law etc.
  9. VaheGuru Jee Kaa Khalsa VaheGuru Jee Kee Fatheh! (Note to Moderators: Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong section, please do move to an appropriate section if necessary.) I just wanted to enquire whether anyone here has done Postgraduate Study in the fields of Management, HR, Finance ... I've recently completed a BA in Business Management with Specialist HR modules and I'm working in the Recruitment area in a private Care Company. I wish to progress further up the career ladder as HR Manager, or consider Financial Management Services, but the majority of vacancies ask for a compulsory requirement of a CIPD diploma and/or Masters. I've been researching today on possible taught and research based Master programmes at local Universities ... The courses seem pretty interesting and it would be great to get back into studying. Though, I wanted to know whether your Masters has actually helped you get a professional job? Has it assisted you into your desired profession or have you had to work from a fairly low level to begin with? Has your Masters been a waste of £10k? Any advice / suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Kam Kaur
  10. Ooh I had a feeling it was from the Zakhmi Jatha ... Thank you Jee ... That's Kirpa!
  11. VaheGuru ... Anand! Who's the Bhai Sahib singing this Shabad? Could you possibly post a downloadable link please? Dhanvaad!
  12. May VaheGuru bless Gagandeep Singh and keep him attached to His Pavitar Charan Kamal ... He achieved so much in such a short space of time ... Very impressive and inspiring! Sending Asseessan and Good Vibes to Gagandeep's family ... May VaheGuru keep you in a state of peace and help find you a way to get through this Aukhree Gharee.
  13. Bibi Rena Kaur - R.I.P - http://kaursunited.org/kaur-profile/bibi-rena-kaur-ji http://www.keertan.gurmatchanan.com/keertan/andromeda.php?q=f&f=%2FDharmik+Compilations%2FBhai+Parminder+Singh%2C+Bhai+Charanjeet+Singh%2C+and+Bibi+Rena+Kaur+Tribute+CD
  14. Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Jee blessed the Panth with Four Princes - Chaar Sahibzaadey ... I reckon it's our responsibility to increase the Panth with 4-6 Bhujhangia (Little Singhs and Singhaneea) but have the GurSikh Jeevan to support them. As for being financially stable, Sikh's are doing so well in regards to higher education, high-paid jobs etc so perhaps it's time we paid more attention to bringing our children up in a spiritually stable household. Even if one child from four siblings in a family adopts the GurSikh lifestyle then that's enough too ... Dhan Guru Dhan Teri Sikhee!
  15. Chatanga Jee, what you said is so true ... What's the point in saying we'll remember them when we don't even make the effort to investigate such situations that are happening in our pinds in Panjaab ... We don't even go and help them or do any charitable deeds that they will benefit from ... We say we're Khalsay this that the other, but when it comes to our brothers and sisters to rely on us for help then we run a mile and leave them with empty promises ... It's sad times but at least there's afew clued up people here that want to see change and are willing to go to the lengths in doing so ... I'll be honest, I haven't visited Panjaab in over 6 years ... I'd be hoping to go soon later this year and would really want to visit Shaheed families and help in any way possible ... I've seen that film 'Widows Colony' and have got some addresses from the families in there ... But if there's some others anyone knows about then please do share ...
  16. Panjaab seems to be getting worser by the day ... VaheGuru Jee Kirpa Karo ... Thanks for posting, it just makes us more aware of the injustice that's happening and inspires us to become more Tyaar for the future ... Won't forget you Shaheed Bhai Shaminder Singh Shera!
  17. That's Kirpa! But the poster needs to be corrected - it says the event is on the 10th Feb?
  18. VaheGuru, could the organisers possibly arrange for Giani Mehtab Singh Jee to do Katha etc at the Barsi, please?
  19. VaheGuru ... Will Giani Jee be at Baba Thakur Singh Jee's Barsi ... Can it be arranged please!
  20. There are a couple of "gupt" Gianis that I know of so yeah they do exist but quite rare ... It's something to consider though, it would be nice if such Gianis became more common in the Gurdwara's today ... There's alot of Giaan amongst the Gursikhs in the UK (or non-Indian countries) so it'd be a great factor to share it with the Sangath ...
  21. The Giani doesn't have to be from India ... there's alot of GurSikhs that have studied Santhia, Gurmat etc from India via Taksaals and MahaPurakhs etc but have been born and brought up in the UK ... they probably fit the role of a Giani more so than one born and brought up in India.
  22. I know, hence why it's in inverted commas ... unfortunately the youth i've spoken to refer to the language in that term
  23. Not sure if it's relevant but i'd really like it if the Giani was well versed in Panjabi AND English coz not all of the youth understand the full-on "freshy" Panjabi if you get what i mean ... And it would be nice if the Giani wasn't discriminating in his views to non-AmrithDharees and non-Sikhs (i.e. looking down upon them, not being helpful when asked questions in regards to Sikhee, etc) ...
