I agree with Gurmat Sangeet, there are lots of brides who have been abusing the system for years. They get their indefinite stay stamps and suddenly develop wings, then they get a divorce and get their old boy friend over from Punjab. The period to get indefinite leave should be extended to 10 years to weed out all these abusers.

I give as much as I can afford, if Dhadrinwala gave all his euro tour offerings to the shaheed parivars it would be enough to give them all some economic uplift and their children a decent education. Please ask Dhadrianwala to give an honest account of how much of the offerings he has received over the last few years have been used for shaheed parivars and how much on his dera. From my interaction with families of Shaheed Singh they have had zilch. Go do your own research and please report back with an honest answer.These are families of well known Shaheed as well as youths killed in fake encounters by Punjab Police cops who now protect these Baba.

Just a quick question, I was always under the impression that official forces such as police or military were not openly welcome if they were in their uniforms. However I was recently at Paonta Sahib and there were soldiers sat there having langar with machine guns in their hands. I know langar is for everyone and if we understand the message of Bhai Khaniya then we are meant to do seva for everyone and not discriminate. Cant these soldiers especially in light of bluestar leave their machine guns in their truck whilst having langar? I have some photos which i will post in a bit.

From the other angle you could say the same about Dhadrianwala who took this song as an attack against himself rather than taking in the message of the song. All the pallova from Dhadrianwala, Moronwala and then Sukhbir Badals threats on behalf of the baba who felt they were the subject matter for the song. Why have Dhadrianwala, Moronwala and co not used their positions to publicly question why the likes of disgraced kar sewa baba amrik su has recently been realloted 'kar sewa' by the sgpc (badal) when it is an open secret that 'baba' amrik kept a girlfriend, used money collected for sewa for personal enrichment and sold subsidised kar sewa cement for personal gain. If they want to be baba then they should follow the example of Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji and stop these pakhandi baba in their tracks. Cynics may say that the kar sewa baba help with the RSS agenda by giving all our gurdwara that hindufied white marble look so in the long term they can again claim we are a sect of hinudism. Instead of questioning badals decisisons they get into bother over a song not even aimed at them.

When did Babbu Mann say anything about Dhadhrianwala? It was Dhadrianwala who put himself in the spotlight by making an issue over this song and linking it with himself. The true Sant is never cowed by the likes of Sukhbir Badal or requires the Badal clan to issue threats on their behalf. Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji never succumbed to any CM or his two paisa son. We cannot say the same about todays baba who need Punjab Police gunmen to follow them everywhere and on the say-so of Sukhbir badal call off morchas. Is it not nindya of Gur Sants for people to use the prefix Sant when they build deras instead of following sacha sauda teachings? Also please stop falling for the usual nindya trap propagated by self styled Sants to stop people questioning them, Guru Ji used the term Gur Sant for Bhagats and Guru Ji and not for the 600 odd self titled Sant roaming Punjab today. Someone should ask Moranwala how was Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji able to deliver religious sermons across India in simple old buses and trucks without redlights or Punjab Police gunmen to accompany them. Remember a few years ago when a certain dera 'Sant' decided to take Guru Ji across India in a train only for the special carriage to be attacked and burnt with Guru Ji in it? What did the official gunmen do then besides run away like cowards? Can you imagine Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji and his armed soorme allowing a train carriage with Guru Ji on board to be attacked and burnt by cigarette smoking gunde? These 'sant' need armed punjab police gunde for themselves but on that occassion failed to protect Guru Ji in the train.

Why spread a chadaar then? If people are giving money then why not use the example of Gur Sant Baba Nanak Ji and learn from the sacha sauda sakhi instead of using the money to build a dera. Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji never built a dera and instead used offerings for panthic seva. Any one using the Sant prefix should follow the teachings of Gur Sant Baba Nanak Ji and learn from the examples he set. Dhadrianwala could set an example by helping the victims of the 84 genocide. Why did Badal make these threats when the song is about pakhandi baba? The only baba who appears to be paranoid about this song is Dhadrianwala, so was Badal trying to appease Dhadrianwala? Just last year Dhuma called off the Chandigarh march/sit-in after he met Sukhbir for a private meeting. How many other baba work at the bidding of the Badals?

What is Dhadrianwala going on about with regards to Baba Nanak walking as that was the norm at the time etc and how horses and carts etc then came into vogue. There were horses and carts in the days of Baba Nanak Ji but he preferred to walk. Likewise for Moranwali about parcharaks walking and arriving late as the sangat arrives in cars....well Baba Nanak Ji used to walk and it was not a problem with his wealthy followers arriving on the finest arabi horses. Lets look at Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji, in the late 1970s and 1980s he happily went all over Punjab and India (as far as Mumbai) in buses and trucks. He did not need imported AC cars to do parchar. At the time imported Mercedes cars were available in India and Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji could easily have bought one. Someone else on the thread is now mentioning that the Audi has been sold for the benefit of the survivors of the 84 genocide. Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji used to use all sangats offerings for panthic needs, why do these modern baba need to spread their own large chadars for charava and build dera? Why not use the several hundred 000£ that he collected on his recent euro tour to build accomodation and provide jobs to those still suffering as a result of the 84 genocide instead of selling an audi on the 25th anniversery. Did the widows not need help during the interim 25 years, likewise the families of shaheed, the families of Budhsingwala, Sukha Singh & Jinda Singh, Satwant Singh and Beant Singh should be helped as much as possible to give their children a better future without using these families at the odd gathering for cheap publicity like the SGPC and Akal Takht Jathedar do so often.

Spot on reply, even the name Khalistan has no place in Gurbani. After a few demanded Sikhistan in the late 50's it was soon replaced by khalistan as it neatly fitted in with the name of pakistan. At least Sikhistan had some foundations in terms of being a valid name from the Sikh perspective. khalistan has no sikh angle to it all and as such the name should be scrapped. Punjab will remain Punjab and nothing will change that.

I know this topic is old but a week or so ago I was told that Shaheed Beant Singh Ji's family were in a very poor position. Please can anyone confirm the state of Shaheed Beant Singh Ji's family. If there are being denied work on the basis of being the children of Shaheed Beant Singh Ji then they deserve our help. Perhaps the 'baba' in india who was offering crores to those who would kill the sirsa pakhandi could also dip into their bank accounts and help the family.

I have been told that the staff there sometimes stop people having rooms because they are kept for Akali Dal Badal bigwigs and their guests.

If video evidence is acceptable then let the indian judiciary review all the news coverage of the genocide and begin sentencing people for their part in the crimes. This just goes to show how much of a tool the current jathedar of the Akal Takht is. All he ever does is what the Badals tell him to, he does not have the spine to make any decisions that might upset the Badals. For years all the SGPC has done is eat the charava of Gurdwara in Haryana without spending 1RS on any of them. These Singh all have DDT links, so why has the DDT done nothing for them. I remember the 1980s when Singh used to be arrested on false charges, Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji used to give ultimatum to the corrupt police to release them. Now the DDT Mukhi has meetings with Sukhbir BAdal yet fails to get these Singh released. I can see why people do not accept the current Jathdar of the DDT now.
